How to Draw Pokemon

  • 013 4  This book was wonderful for my 7 and 5 year olds who are addicted to anything Pokemon . Most of the drawings are quite challenging for a 5 year old , but he was just happy to be drawing something resembling a Pokemon character . I'd definitely recommend . However , it looks like a big thick book but it's only about 30 pages .
    • 012 4  Set by step instructions made it easy for my some to draw his favorite Pokemon characters .
    • 014 4  i got this for my 6yr old nephew and he loved it but it was too advanced for him .
    • 025 4  This is perfect for taking a kids interests and helping them to make and decorate thier own new Pokemon .
    • 030 4  This book was bought for my grandchild , who loved it . It has brought hours of fun while developing artistic ability . A great buy for any Pokemon fan .
    • 032 4  This book was bought for my 7 year old Pokemon fan and he absolutely loves it ! Easy to follow instructions are provided in assisting him draw his favorite characters . I recommend this to all kids that want to accurately draw the Pokemon characters .
    • 039 4  Simple , small , lacking in content . I'd love to see this book with perhaps 5 times the content and perhaps some , how do draw backgrounds for your Pokemon scene . How to draw a Tree , House , and so on , would be welcome content to this book that simply capitalizes on the Pokemon craze . Pretty simple and disapointing .

  • 022 4  I bought this as a Christmas gift for one of my kids . I thought it would be a pretty extensive book , with templates to draw a big variety of Pokemon characters . However , it is a relatively small book , with a limited number of guides for drawing various Pokemon . Considering the cheap price , I should have assumed this , but I did not . This said , you get what you paid for . A small price for a limited number of Pokemon characters .

    • 042 4  this tells you how to draw about 15 pokemon . i tried doing the steps but it did not turn out wright . they tell you dumb stuff like wants they give you the steps for igglybuff they say you can draw jigglypuff.they do that for almost every pokemon.i did a better pichu by tracing then these steps . OK WHEN I GOT THIS BOOK I WAS DISAPOINTED.IT IS JUST MY OPINION . SO WHAT IF I WAS HARSH IT IS TRUE.I WAS MAD WHEN I GOT THIS BOOK
      • 023 4  This review is from : How to Draw Pokemon ( Paperback ) WHEN I GAVE THIS BOOK TO MY LITTLE COUSIN HE TOLD ME WITH A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE , JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED ! IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT !

    • How to Draw Pokemon ( Paperback ) The title for this review really states my reaction and response to the How To Draw Pokemon . This book is very organized , with a introduction on what you'll need and do , then it has step by step instructions , and easy Pokemon - difficult Pokemon layout . I first find myself starting on the first Pokemon in the book , Igglybuff . Once I finish the cute puff ball , I look at what I have accomplished and it feels good to see my version of Igglybuff . I started getting really into drawing these cute and fierce creatures . I am a huge fan of Pokemon and love the selection of Pokemon in this book . There is . . . IggyBuff Cleffa Chikorita Cyndaquil Totodile Croconaw Wobbuffet Pikachu Pichu Twins Togepi Meowth Houndour Gyarados Ursaring Lugia Entei Ash and Pikachu As you can see there are a lot to choose from . And they give you different ways to draw them ( but not for all the Pokemon ) and sometimes the evolution of them . Like after you draw Igglybuff the book has a picture of Jigglypuff and challenges you to draw her . One thing that I don't like is the way the book has for drawing Chikorita . She looks mean in the drawing , I wanted to draw her standing or something but not looking mean . The book doesn't have color , so make sure that you have a Handbook or Pokedex book to look at what the colors that are for the Pokemon ( if you want to make them look realistic ) . The book is great and the instructions are great for my age but not sure if it will be good for younger kids . I think if you want to learn how to draw Pokemon this is a great book .
      • 001 4  If your kid loves pokemon , you won't be disappointed . My two boys , ages 5 & 8 love this book . I think the other reviews were too critical and maybe they didn't try hard enough . They have had it since Christmas ' 03 and they still use it . It is the only book they keep handy in their desk drawer and not on the bookshelf .
      • 002 4  I beleive that the other reviews were written by furious begginer artists whom had tried a few times and were uspset with their results . It takes time to learn how to draw and drawing simple shapes such s circles is not as easy as it is made out to be ! I don't think this book could be made any simpler and is perfect for the begginer . Note : I noticed that other reviews stated : I got better results when I traced the pictures . Well of course you did ! No matter how simple the book was , the artists would have been drawing for years and five hours of drawing is nothing compared to that .
      • 003 4  This review is from : How to Draw Pokemon ( Paperback ) My daughter , age 7 , is an avid Pokemon fan and loves to draw . This book has been lots of fun for her even though I think some of the drawings are hard to do . However , she is a much better drawer than her Mom and does not express any frusturation while following the directions . I think the book could have provided more step by step instructions but if your child has some talent drawing , they should have fun with it .

      • 005 4  I agree that the other reviews were a little harsh . My 7 year old prefers to trace the characters rather than draw them . This book is a favorite .
      • 006 4  This review is from : How to Draw Pokemon ( Paperback ) I got this for my eight-year-old nephew as a supplement to an order that was not quite the $25.00 required for free shipping . To my surprise , not only did he like it better than the other Pokemon publication I purchased , but his mom really liked it . An unexpected bonus !

      • 008 4  This is a wonderful way to learn to draw fro those of us not gifted in that area and for youngsters who don't know where to start . My 6 year old enjoys trying his hand at these and he does not normally enjoy drawing or coloring .
      • 009 4  My 9 year old was thrilled to receive this book - he loves to draw Pokeman , but doesn't do too well freehand . This book gives him the help he needs to make impressive drawings . . .
      • 010 4  I bought this for my son as a reward for doing well in school . He is 9 years old and in the fourth grade . It turns out my 5 year old and 4 year olds both enjoy it immensely , much to the dismay of my son ( no girls allowed , lol . ) My son decided to trace the images for a quilt we are making to donate to kids in a loval hospital .
      • 015 4  If your child loves Pokemon and also loves to draw . . this is an ideal purchase . My 7yr old just loves this drawing book and also Pokemon . You cant go wrong with this purchase
      • 017 4  I bought this for my grandson's b'day . He turned seven , is very artistic and LOVES pokemon ! He spends hours drawing either by himself or w / others . If you have a child who loves to draw and loves pokemon this is the ideal gift for them !

      • 027 4  This review is from : How to Draw Pokemon ( Paperback ) My son loves this book . He's really into drawing and loves the how-to-draw books , and this was no exception . Within minutes he was whipping up poke'mon from the pages of the book onto paper and making his own comic book of them . Great for any pokemon fan who loves to draw !

      • 029 4  My 5 year old loves this book . If he had his way , he would play Pokemon all day every day on his game boy . This is a nice alternative that taps his imagination and creativity . He also tries to get others to draw with him so they have a group activity that is relatively quiet , until they start describing the battles . I highly recommend for any child who already loves other Pokemon activities .
      • 031 4  I have purchased at least 5 of these books and have given them as gifts to my children and their friends ( ages 7 - 11 ) . The instructions are easy to follow , the drawings are very authentic and kids love that they can draw some of their favorite characters . The ONLY down side , is that I wish it had a greater number of characters to draw . However , IMO it was a real steal for less than $5 . All the children we've purchased these for have loved them . I keep an extra one just in case I've forgotten a birthday . You might want to buy an extra one too !
      • 033 4  This review is from : How to Draw Pokemon ( Paperback ) I bought this for my daughter who loves pokemon and has a bit of a hand coordination problem which she receives occupational therapy for . She can type faster than most humans I know , but drawing is a problem and so is lining up columns like rows of numbers . This book is perfect for her . It offers simply step-by-step instructions on how to create each character and involves nothing but simple line drawings , but forces concentration and improves eye-hand coordination . Of course , the other benifit of this book is that you can use it to draw pokemon characters to make craft items for a child you love or make a custom made greeting card . This book isn't expensive and worth every penny . If you have a pokemon fan in your mist , this is a nice book that will encourage creativity and time away from the Nintendo !

      • 035 4  It is a great book that has steps to drawing pokemon.it even shows you what some pokemon turn into ! I think that this is a good book . you just have to look at the steps .
      • 036 4  My 4 kids are all Pokemon crazy and they love to draw , so this was a natural choice . They spend hours drawing their favorite characters with the help of the How to Draw Pokemon book . I Highly recommend this for any kid that is a fan of Pokemon and loves to draw .
      • 037 4  I bought this for my 7 years old daughter because she loves to draw and also is into Pokemon . The step to step drawing was easy to follow .
      • 038 4  It can teach you how to draw pokemon but each step adds alot more of the pokemon. If you are exstemly into drawing pokemon you should try to find a more beginner type drawing book .
      • 040 4  I , of course expected the standard how to draw ( X ) book . What I got was a how to put eyes on a very complicated shape book . The first step is an already drawn pokemon with 3 or 4 details missing . No draw and oval , overlap with triangle . . type thing . Just the pokemon outline missing a few features . Does not even serve as a trace book as the lines are faint grey , not a bold black . At first glance looks like a coloring book . If your child can draw the pokemon using this book , they can draw them using any picture .
      • 041 4  When I tried to draw Lugu I traced it better than I drew it fowolling the steps. For people who think other people didn't try hard enough well I tried for 5 hours and still my tracing came out better.Finaly I gave up.It was to hard . If you like to trace pokemon this is a great book .
