You can set the little timer for 1,3,5,10,15,20 and 30 minutes . I have replaced my original one several times and currently wear a black one daily , I also have a black spare and a silver one as well . There are no other watches out there with the convenience of the countdown timer . I use this in my daily life regularly , for things such as 10 minute countdown for Nestle Tollhouse cookies , for snoozing in the morning for another 5 minutes in bed , for kids timeouts , at work for timed comments during meetings in order to stick to the agenda , for timing exercises for my patients on different machines , as well as for myself at the gym . As far as I am concerned it is the best mom-watch out there . The countdown timer is SUCH a useful feature - - with just a few clicks you can be completely accurate with your OK , only three more minutes in the pool and then we have to go ! ( or 1 minute , or 5 minutes , or 10 , or 15 , or 20 , or 30 . ) Not to mention how useful that feature is for cooking / baking ! You can go outside to do things and not worry that you won't be able to hear the stove timer . Plus , all the settings are simple to do - - you don't need a complicated instruction manual to figure out how to operate the thing .
I have small wrists and hate the look of big , bulky timer-type watches - - this one has the features but is not bulky like that at all . It is thin and has a small face ( about the size and thickness of three quarters stacked on top of each other . ) It looks like what it is - - a ladies ' watch , not a men's watch .
I have not noticed the band breaking like others have mentioned , but I have only had mine a few years . I only had to get a new one when I misplaced the old one . It has been pool-waterproof for me , and it seems remarkably durable for such an inexpensive watch . I have also seen it in stores with a pink-colored line of trim instead of the blue . I plan to order the metallic-band version of this watch to wear for dressier occasions .
The one thing I really really wish it had is a nightlight feature like an Indiglo or something . Hopefully Casio can do that someday , without making it bigger and bulkier . There is just no other watch out there with all the features of this watch plus a light , so for now this Casio is the best thing going . I highly recommend it .
001 4 I love this watch . I've been re-buying it since the 80 ' s . I typically trash watches within a year or so but I can make these last for a good 5 years or more even with hard use . Considering that I started out paying about 10 bucks for it , that's pretty impressive . Every one has survived my sweaty exercise sessions , sloppy dishwashing and slamming my wrist against things . The band can be torn but somehow I've only managed to do that on one of the four or so I've bought . And the band fits my little skinny wrist that NO jewelry fits , without having to alter it in any way . I use every feature on this watch , especially the countdown timer , which is a great tool for those of us who are easily distracted . If I have to remember to do something in a few minutes ( from 5 to 30 minutes ) , whether it's call someone back , check the oven , turn off the garden hose , switch the laundry , or whatever , I can utilize the countdown timer as a reminder tool that travels with me unlike a kitchen timer or a sticky note . The watch is small and flat , and although it has a very vinyl utilitarian look , I choose it most of the time over my prettier dress watches because it's far more functional . This is not jewelry by any means but it's a great cost-effective little tool , if that's what you're into ( and I am ) .

018 4 I love this watch ! I always keep at least 2 around in case the battery dies on the one I'm wearing . Over the last 15 years I've probably gone through 10 of these . The timer is the feature that I cannnot live without . It is extremely simple to use for setting 1 , 3 , 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , or 30 minute increments . I use it many times a day . The only problem I have ever had with this product is the plastic part of the watch that you insert the pin into ( to hold the band on ) tends to break off when the watch gets old . I attibute that to wearing this watch to mow the grass , and it being weakened by sweat , heat and sunscreen . There is no way to attach a band once it breaks . But the watch is so cheap , I just order another one .

The only problem I have ever had is when I bring it in to have the battery changed , sometimes the clerk puts it all back together but accidently covered up whatever it is that makes the beeping sound on the timer and therefore will not beep or not beep loud enough . So try the countdown BEFORE you leave the store so you don't have to go back or better yet , bring it to a jewelry store instead of a big box store . . . won't mention names here to change the battery . Although a jewelry store charged me $10 to change the battery which is about the price of the watch so that is pretty high but it only took her a minute and it was working 100% the way it should when I left the store .
I am not fond of the band or any band that has a buckle . I have switched it out for one of those bands that don't have a buckle . I took the wrist band off an old Timex ( stainless steel looking ) and That is easy on and easy off . Otherwise the buckle on this gets in the way of me typing on a laptop . It keeps hitting the edge of the computer .
Buy one . . . its cheap and will last for years and years . Oh , I have also used it around kids saying , we will go when the watch beeps . They seem to be more patient with that especially if they get to push the button that makes the timer set .

It's not too terribly loud . I have used this since my kids were babes , through time-outs , and we have X minutes until we leave . I've never had this feature go out on the watch so the button and electronics must be pretty good .
I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY . The countdown timer is a never-fail , always-accessible tool to get through life . Great for cooking , exercising , childcare , meditation , hobby tasks , power naps , and so much more . I don't even bother looking at the bars at the top - - - I just press the button 1 time for 1 min , 2 times for 3 min , 3 times for 5 min , 4 times for 10 min , etc . My kids even rely on it too and can use it while I'm wearing it to time anything they need ( study breaks , time spent playing the piano , etc . ) .

The countdown alarm is so clever , easy-to-use ( as another reviewer said , you don't even need to look at it to use it ) , and continuously useful that I wish Casio would put this feature in fashion watches . Anyway , these durable little babies are great for women who like easy timer reminders . The new gold one ( same digital face inside a gold-tone watch ) might be a little dressier .

She works with kids and loves the countdown alarm , with its easy set-up . After that one stopped working ( dead battery ) , I bough her this model . Only one actually broke - one of the band tabs broke off , watch mechanism itself still works fine . Another drawback is the battery , it's not readily available ( however , I just bought a pack of 5 here ,
and resurrected three old watches , they all work fine , even the very first one ! ) . I still give it five stars , there is nothing else on the market like this ( there is also an all-metal version of the same watch ) . I hope Casio does not discontinue this model , but just in case , I now buy them in bulk , 2 or 3 at a time , since they constantly get lost ; this is possible because it is very affordable . This watch was specifically ( and I should say , very successfully ) designed with woman's psychology in mind , so the only thing that I would add to it is some kind of remote that will allow to locate a lost watch ( just kidding ! ) . For anyone with this problem , I recommend to set a daily alarm at some convenient time , so the watch can be located at that time .

Unfortunately , I found that the alarm is backwards - AM versus PM so now I have to remember to set the alarm for the opposite time so the alarm will go off i.e . PM for a morning wakeup ! I don't have time to send this back and since I bought two , I haven't checked the other one . It is perfect for Moms of small children , as the countdown feature is a great help for time-outs ! No arguing from the kids ( is my time up yet ? ) - - they know when the timer goes off . Plus , if they whine , they know I will press that button once more , and they will have more time ! I have even given this watch as a baby shower gift for just this purpose !
050 4 I've owned ( and gifted ) a surprising number of these watches over many years . Sometimes I replace the resin band with a leather band so that the appearance is dressier .
The countdown timer on the face of the watch ( no searching ! ! ) is my favorite feature . I use it for timing baked goods , remembering to call someone back , ending a grandchild's time-out , remembering to turn on a favorite TV or radio show , waking up after a catnap - - and so much more !
In addition , the hourly signal ( if turned on ) , is useful in my professional life .

I love that this watch lets me not only set the alarm to go off at a specific time , but to go off in 1 or 3 or 5 or 10 or 15 or 20 or 30 minutes just by how many times I push the upper right button . What other slim , inexpensive watch does this ? It also has a stop watch . It is very durable . Mine has gotten beaten up and in water a lot and still works fine . One big problem though - - replacing the battery and having everything work properly afterward . I have been using this model watch for over a dozen years . In that time I have taken it in for stores to replace the battery - - even a store with a watch repair shop . Often , replacing the battery has caused something to stop working properly . Therefore , I have had to replace the watch several times over the years . However , because of the extremely low price of the watch ( $15 now , $10 once upon a time ) , I don't worry too much about that .

I have bought one of these watches every several years for the past 18 years . I tried Timex with a light last time because I couldn't find the Casio in the store . It lasted 3 months . I just ordered two of these Casios . By the time the battery wears out ( 1 1 / 2 to 2 years ) , it's probably time for a new watch anyway . Like any watch , it gets scratched or the band breaks , but at this price , go for it . You'll enjoy it . It's also small so you don't look like you are wearing a man's watch !

The watch is easy to use and has an incremental alarm ( 1 - 3 - 5 - 10 - 15 - 30 - min ) , as well as a regular alarm which are very easy to set . Great size amd easy to read . Even though the band is aome sort of rubber - none of mine have ever failed . The ONLY reason I have replaced them is that I have MISplaced them ! A + watch for a really reasonable price . I use the timer often , and though it claims to be only water resistant and not water proof , I have been swimming with it and had no problems . The batteries always last well past the two years they are said to be good for . As others have said , the straps are prone to breaking , but since you have to figure the battery is due to go soon anyway , it's just as cheap to replace the whole thing .
On a side note , I was recently trying to purchase one for someone else , and though the product page said it was in stock and qualified for free shipping , when I tried to check out that wasn't the case . The other items in my order qualified , but I was going to be charged $4.98 in shipping for the watch . I emailed Amazon about this and within two hours they had added the watch to the rest of my order with no extra shipping charge . You do not have to remove it to wash your hands . Once I even forgot to remove it before getting into my pool and had it on for about ten minutes while swimming . I don't know if it would have held up to more time being completely submerged , I doubt it would have . I've used this model for years and when one wears out I replace it . The only problem I have ever had is when I bring it in to have the battery changed , sometimes the clerk puts it all back together but accidently covered up whatever it is that makes the beeping sound on the timer and therefore will not beep or not beep loud enough . So try the countdown BEFORE you leave the store so you don't have to go back or better yet , bring it to a jewelry store instead of a big box store . . . won't mention names here to change the battery . Although a jewelry store charged me $10 to change the battery which is about the price of the watch so that is pretty high but it only took her a minute and it was working 100% the way it should when I left the store .
I am not fond of the band or any band that has a buckle . I have switched it out for one of those bands that don't have a buckle . I took the wrist band off an old Timex ( stainless steel looking ) and That is easy on and easy off . Otherwise the buckle on this gets in the way of me typing on a laptop . I have used this watch for over 20 years , replacing it every 6 years or when the battery runs down . I hate wearing jewelry , but I can't live without this watch . I raised a family of 7 kids with it . The fast and easy timer keeps me from burning things , lets me know when a child's time in time out is done , reminds me to call someone back in 3 minutes and etc . forever . The stop watch helps me in my exercise , lets me record how long it takes to get somewhere and so on . The alarm travels with me on trips and wakes me up every morning . I love this watch ! I always keep at least 2 around in case the battery dies on the one I'm wearing . Over the last 15 years I've probably gone through 10 of these . The timer is the feature that I cannnot live without . It is extremely simple to use for setting 1 , 3 , 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , or 30 minute increments . I use it many times a day . The only problem I have ever had with this product is the plastic part of the watch that you insert the pin into ( to hold the band on ) tends to break off when the watch gets old . I attibute that to wearing this watch to mow the grass , and it being weakened by sweat , heat and sunscreen . There is no way to attach a band once it breaks . But the watch is so cheap , I just order another one .

I have had this style of watch for about 15 years . It is a cheap watch and looks kind of cheap too , however it has one really great feature . You can set the little timer for 1,3,5,10,15,20 and 30 minutes . It is great for doing the laundry , or leaving the kitchen timer and going somewhere in the house but still knowing when the timer should go off . I use it when I only want to spend so much time doing something and the timer reminds me to stop or start the next thing . I love it ! ! !

This is a great watch . It was everything I expected it to be when it arrived .
The only surprising thing about it was the size , especially the small size of the watch's face , but that's my fault for not looking into the measurements .
It's a slim watch , never gets in the way .
Oh and 2 - 3 weeks after I had received the watch and wore it non-stop , the clasp part ( plastic ) broke . It was no problem though , because I reported it to Amazon , and they happily let me exchange it for another . The replacement , I've been wearing for about 2 weeks now without a problem .

I've had this model of watch or its sister model ( silver metal ) for over 20 years . Batteries are hard to locate , so I just buy another one when one dies ( which is about every 3 - 5 years ) . My hubby says this watch is too gauche to wear to the bathroom , but I love it . If it really bothered me , it would be worth it to just buy a new band , because the watch itself is so great .
As Mother in Duluth said about the metal one , it's the countdown timer that has won our hearts . She continues , You push a single button once and a timer is set for 1 minute , each time you press the button , the time increases 1 , 3 , 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , 30 then reset . It's not too terribly loud . I have used this since my kids were babes , through time-outs , and we have X minutes until we leave . I've never had this feature go out on the watch so the button and electronics must be pretty good .
I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY . The countdown timer is a never-fail , always-accessible tool to get through life . Great for cooking , exercising , childcare , meditation , hobby tasks , power naps , and so much more . I don't even bother looking at the bars at the top - - - I just press the button 1 time for 1 min , 2 times for 3 min , 3 times for 5 min , 4 times for 10 min , etc . My kids even rely on it too and can use it while I'm wearing it to time anything they need ( study breaks , time spent playing the piano , etc . ) .
The countdown timer is also fantastic for ADHD folks , because it remembers even when I'm off and running with Look ! A kitten ! .

A few years ago I bought this watch ( actually , it was a preceding model , a little larger , round , but the same dial face ) , and she loved it . She works with kids and loves the countdown alarm , with its easy set-up . After that one stopped working ( dead battery ) , I bough her this model . Since then , we went through about half-dozen or more ( some went through a washer and dryer , some simply lost ) . Only one actually broke - one of the band tabs broke off , watch mechanism itself still works fine . Another drawback is the battery , it's not readily available ( however , I just bought a pack of 5 here ,
and resurrected three old watches , they all work fine , even the very first one ! ) . I still give it five stars , there is nothing else on the market like this ( there is also an all-metal version of the same watch ) . I hope Casio does not discontinue this model , but just in case , I now buy them in bulk , 2 or 3 at a time , since they constantly get lost ; this is possible because it is very affordable . This watch was specifically ( and I should say , very successfully ) designed with woman's psychology in mind , so the only thing that I would add to it is some kind of remote that will allow to locate a lost watch ( just kidding ! ) . For anyone with this problem , I recommend to set a daily alarm at some convenient time , so the watch can be located at that time .

The product itself is nice , functional and cheap . However , having UPS as the only delivery option is extremely inconvenient , unless you can afford the luxury of staying at home the day of delivery or have a very predictable work day .

I have purchased this particular watch multiple times over the past fifteen years or so . It is durable and very easy to use / program . I particularly enjoy the quick button timer alarm feature . The only thing it is lacking is a light feature . It is very reasonably priced .

The printed instructions must be for someone who has far better eyesight than I . Also , I had hoped to be able to set the alarm to go off twice dailey , but thus far I've only achieved one setting . ( The whole point of buying this watch was the alarm feature ( to alert me to take two medications that are time critical ) .

This is my second watch of this kind . I love it's slim design . One of my favorite features is that it has a timer for 1 thru 30 minutes at different intervals with just the press of one button ( no need to go into menus .

I love this watch . The preset timers are very useful especially when I work on experiments . Wrist size may be small but it just fits fine on me . It is a classic watch , very subtle and simple in design . It would have been perfect if it comes with a light . But I can live without one , especially for the price .

What I love most about this watch is the alarm on the face of it . It gives you one minute up to thirty minutes to set an alarm very simply . It's also water resistant . You do not have to remove it to wash your hands . Once I even forgot to remove it before getting into my pool and had it on for about ten minutes while swimming . I don't know if it would have held up to more time being completely submerged , I doubt it would have . I've used this model for years and when one wears out I replace it . It's definitely not a dressy watch , totally very casual , something to wear while you are working at something that can get sweaty like housework , cooking , gardening , etc .

A very dainty watch . I especially love the countdown timer . This watch's only shortcoming is that it doesn't have a backlight , unlike many other digital watches , so you can't read it in the dark .

I love this watch ! The timer is the best feature - with the press of a button you can time things for 1 , 3 , 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , and 30 minutes . It's such a handy feature - I use it all the time . I'm surprised more watches don't have it .

I have been a fan of this little wristwatch for a long time . It's small ; you don't have to take it off when doing the dishes , or anything else that involves water ; and , I like the timer function on it . Plus it lasts a long time - it's pretty rugged .

This watch is a good work horse . I have had 3 or 4 over the years . Yes , they finally do wear out , but not until about 5 - 6 years . They are great for timing things for 1 , 3 , 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 , or 30 minutes . The battery will last longer than one year . I take my watch to a small local jewelry store in the town where I live for replacement of the battery . I wear my watch 24 / 7 . It is not an elegant watch to wear when you are dressed to go out on the town . I am not a clothes horse person and thus this does not matter to me . Most of the time I purchase an expandable watch band for this watch . The down side of this watch is the belt and buckle watch band . It takes me a bit longer to put on my wrist due to my arthritis and thus I prefer an expandable metal watch band .

I am very dependent on this watch for its great functions and ease of use . I teach and use the countdown timer and alarm features as reminders every day . I also use the stopwatch feature in the classroom . The watch is reliable and comfortable and definitely a great value .

I love this simple watch . It has everything I need on it and is not complicated by lots of features I will never use . I have been buying it for about 20 years and have gotten distressed on the few occasions that I could not find it and had to buy some bulky thing that doesn't countdown time .
It is nice and small . It has a super simple countdown timer , which many other watches lack , that I use for timeouts for my kids , exercising , meditating , cooking , heart rate measurement , naps , reminders of all sorts . And it is reliable and affordable .

The countdown timer is invaluable and so easy to use , you can set it in the dark . I use this feature at work as a nurse , at home , all the time ! It's strange you can't find this feature on other watches . The time set . alarm & stopwatch are also the easiest to set of any watch . This watch is simple , practical and cheap . I never had any problems with the wrist bands . Usually the battery dies or I lose it before I have a problem with the watch . I've bought the same watch for about 20 years . The model with the metal wristband is a little prettier .
