  • 005 4  I had been looking for a nice combination analog-digital timepiece , and this seemed to be what I was searching for . I really liked the looks of it from the photos I'd seen . The price seemed reasonable as well . After buying it I was a little disappointed by the cheap feel of the watch . After about only a month , the acrylic crystal and plastic case seemed to show a little too much wear . I know that the crystal can be buffed , but I didn't think I'd have to worry about that so soon . Also , one of the plastic lugs for the band broke when ( in my opinion ) only a moderate amount of pressure was applied to the strap from carrying it in my pocket . This might not have been a problem if the strap wasn't designed to fit so snuggly against the case . Now of course the watch is unwearable . I'm not against owning plastic watches , but this watch didn't seem as durable as any other plastic-cased watch that I've owned . I do like Casio's , but I will probably stick with something from their G-Shock line next time . They are a little more expensive , but more durable .
    • 044 4  I got this watch less than two weeks ago and really enjoy all the positive features mentioned in other reviews . The only real downside for me ( I don't really mind changing modes and setting alarms in the dark or having to circle through only forward to set analog time , although those might be more inconvenient for others ) is that this watch gets tiny minor scratches on the face very easily . They are barely noticeable and don't interfere with visualizing the time unless you look from an angle , but at the same time it's only been a couple of weeks of casual use , so the rate is a little concerning . Overall , despite this one flaw , I'd recommend this watch and buy it again if I had to .

The band is cheap plastic . The back-light is the worst I've seen from all the Casio watches I've owned .     • 116 4  Got this watch urgently one night when I noticed previous watch that I wore everywhere , even when swimming , fogged up one night after swimming indicating a leak after a couple of years of good use ( different design - also a Casio ) . The design on this watch was a little different and very functional with both analogue and digital displays . It is very inexpensive , so I figured I would have nothing to lose . I am really enjoying the watch . A little quirky to set up ( it is delivered in Tokyo time so you have to adjust based on the largest major city which represents your time zone - - - easy but different ) . I wish the display were a little brighter but it is sufficient . The blue glow that happens when you push the upper right button shows off the digital display well in a dark room . Have gotten unsolicited compliments on the watch by friends and colleagues . It is comfortable as well . The digital second hand animated circle is cool yet functional . All in all I am very very happy with this purchase . No leaks yet . Performs well underwater and on land .
    • 186 4  Excelent watch , looks cool , fairly sturdy , love the features . Reason for 4 star is the confusing asignments for the buttons ( especially stop watch and timer controls ) . Also it gains about 5 seconds every 7 - 10 days ( I've had cerial box watches that lost or gained 1 sec . every week ) . These of course are very minor and is my opinion , but I definitely recomend it .

However the high-tech feel and actual impressive functions ( world time , day time saving , countdown , stop watch , whole face lumination , digi-analog display , multi alarms with snooze , date and day display , and 100M waterproof ) . Someone complains about the material ( easy to scratch . . . ) , but come on , for any other material this would not be as light as ideal for sports . If you are doing sports that require a timing device ( such as running and swimming ) , you don't usually scratch it . If you are wrestling , you don't wear watch .

  • 020 4  I have had this watch for almost a year , it is my all time favorite for looks and function in an inexpensive watch . I like the resin band better than Casio's metal , it pinches . The crystal scratches easily . I am very rough on watches and scratch the crystal weekly , but since this crystal is not too hard it is very easy to remove the scratches with toothpaste . . . just rub it on the scratch with your finger and it is good as new .

  • 022 4  I purchased this watch in July ' 09 . I wore it for 1 week and then one day it simply fell off my wrist . The point on the watch casing where the pin holding the wristband is inserted had snapped off . It appears that the hole for the pin had weakened the structural integrity of the watch casing at this point . Mind you , I'm not wearing this watch on a construction site or exposing it to any undue abuse or stress - I'm sitting in front of a computer most of the day . Anyway , I sent the broken watch off to Casio for repair , figuring it must be under warranty . Unfortunately the repair estimate came back from Casio for $46.00 - the watch casing is NOT covered under the warranty . My week-old watch had cost me $29.99 on Amazon , so it'd be cheaper to buy a new one , which I will NOT do , after this experience .

My wrist is large and this band is fine but my one concern is that the band on my wrist is at its limits . If you have a very large wrist close to 8 inches or larger you might have to change bands .

I ordered this watch for him because not only does it tell time but it can be set to tell time for two different places at once . It also has a light for viewing the time at night , you can set 4 different alarms at once and view different time zones . The list of features goes on and on . My husband loves it and said it works great ! !

  • 039 4  I wanted a watch with analog and digital interface . so found this witch looks great , the digital clock has big and clear numbers . the auto light function is so cool . it has 4 alarms , world time and other Casio features.the only thing i hate about this watch is build quality . my jacket scratched it on my first week . the screen is made from plastic and it catches every scratch . you can even scratch it with your finger nails if you want . not just the screen , every thing else is also cheap . after few months of everyday usage you will need to change it . bad bad bad please Casio keep the same design but make it better . add a glass screen , change the plastic case with something better . i will be willing to pay an extra 100 bucks for a quality similar to sieko or pulsar .

I think the faceplate could be a little more scratch resistant , but then again this wasn't made for day-to-day Army wear . The wristband seems to be durable and hasn't broken yet . The watch's downfalls are that the watch face scratches VERY easily . It seems to be made out of some cheap / glass plastic ; if you have sweaty wrists then , you're at a loss because it will continually slip down . Other than those two complaints I have had no problems with this watch and would recommend it to everyone who's looking for a cheap watch with nothing more than portability and practicality in mind .

This watch can be unisex , as it also has a wristband that will fit from a small wrist ( mine are tiny ) to a thick one .     • 059 4  I have had this model going on 6 yrs . Yes the band gave up about 2 yrs ago ( replaced it-the band - with a forester model i had destroyed in a MTN-bike accident . Also the dial cover is scratched but not near as bad as I would have expected being as exposed as it is . I have No issues with it's time keeping or any other functions . I have been much harder on this watch than it was designed for and it is a great watch highly recommend .

The only function I wish it had is a thermometer . My only complaint is that the band does not last as long as the battery ( which is why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars ) . My band started to crack after only 1.5 years of daily use . Replacement bands are often almost as expensive as the watch so generally not worth buying . However for the price 1.5 years of hard use is not bad .

Just a slight brushing on a door , table or any object puts scratches on it and after a while it gets where you can't see the time without the scratches getting in the way . The little strap piece that you slide the extra end of the band into broke off too . Other then that the watch is great and works well . I decided to replace it with a G-Shock because of the inset face design to prevent scratches . ( G-Shock Men's Watch G-Shock Youth Culture G - 306X - 1ADR - WW )

The face scratched after wearing the watch for about a month but that was expected with a cheap timepiece . The features are simple to use ; I actually use the multiple alarms feature , and of course all the typical modes of operation ( stop watch , countdown timer ) Lastly , the watch isn't gaudy , another plus with a cheap watch , too much attention is a bad thing in this case . It has a number of different functions , including a stop watch , 4 alarms , 30min countdown , and alternative country times . The watch fits my wrist like a glove . The band is durable , hardly ever leaves any impression marks on my skin , and does not itch or make my wrist sweat . For the price , you absolutely can't find a better watch anywhere .

  • 083 4  i purchased this b / c of all the glowing reviews , and its fine for my purpose which is for the gym and hiking and generally abusing it a bit , plus i wanted digital and lightweight . it is indeed these . the two downsides i found are that the digital numbers are not as bright or bold as other watches ive seen , and the face of this watch is plastic , and mine in just a couple months has already formed these odd permanent spots like water-spots all over it . for the price though , its fine .

I had the watch for only a couple days and there are already some visible scratches . That being said , if you are looking for a stylish but functional watch and can deal with some scuffs , its a good watch . UPDATE : As I mentioned , the watch scratches very easily , but I was able to buff the scratches out with toothpaste and toothbrush , then put two light coats of clear semi-gloss varnish on the watch face . This covered the scratches and hardened the face and therefore upgraded the watch .

Still working . . . never a problem . Only concern is that the glass ( actually , I think is plastic ) gets scratched pretty easily . I haven't owned many and I usually don't wear watches since a cellphone now a days can easily give you the time . But I'm living in a desert environment for at least the next year and there is no cell phone reception out here , so I'm not ever turning it on . This watch is great for any type of usage ( on the job , exercise , etc . ) . The dial is actually quite nice to look at and wearing it never causes irritability . It's very functional for its size , weight and price - - I'm actually quite surprised at how useful it is . Pros : - Very lightweight and almost undetectable on your wrist . The casing it a lightweight metal , the crystal is plastic ( which is also a con , see below ) , and the band is a resin ( rubber ) . - Highly functional . The face is very informative , providing digital and analog readouts , the date which can be toggled to the week day by a single button , two full-time digital chronometers ( in seconds ) and other little notifications . - This thing has a tiltmeter ! There is a function ( I believe for wearing it on the left wrist only ) where if you tilt your wrist as if looking at your watch , the Indiglow ( backlight ) will turn on . And you are able to toggle this function on / off by holding down the backlight button - - an icon will pop on or off the dial to let you know the state of the function . - Stylish . While the chrome top casing is only chrome-plated ( or chrome paint ) plastic , it does look pretty ncie . The dial and crystal especially look nice . The hour and minute hands are luminescent in the dark too . - World time zones and automatic , toggle-able daylight savings time . - Audible top-of-the-hour notification can be toggled on / off . - 4 different alarm settings - Countdown timer and stopwatch functions . - Lightweight and comfortable resin band . Cons : - Snooze function is pretty much worthless . First of all , you have to set it as though it's an alarm clock . For instance , if you set the alarm for 8 a.m . , you then have to set the snooze to 8 : 05 a.m . in order to attain 5 minutes of snooze time . Worst yet , it only reactivates the alarm once . . . and not for very long either . This is not a watch that heavy sleepers and slow risers should count on . - Plastic crystal ( clear cover ) . This thing is easily scratched and scuffed so watch where you swing your arm . It would be better if the crystal was glass . - When setting the hour and analog hands , it is done electronically instead of a winding wheel . This makes the movement INCREDIBLY slow ! And you can't wind it backwards either ! All in all , this is a very solid watch and a great deal for the money . It's durable enough to go anywhere with it , just be careful not to scratch that plastic crystal . And don't use this watch as an alarm clock unless you're quick to rise in the morning . You don't need a manual to set this thing to your liking , but prepare to devote a few minutes to it when it arrives in the mail . Other than a very short list of downsides , this watch is ideal for anyone . It's not gonna turn heads , but it'll do the job and do it well . If the crystal was more scratch-resistant , it would get a 5 - star from me as I'm not a stickler for waking up on time due to the lax work environment I'm currently in . I do plan on buying another one of these if the crystal gets too worn from being out in this dusty , windy desert region .

So , I kept looking and finally decided on this one , the AQ160W with not too much hope . . . and voila ! it was perfect for me ! Thinner than the G-Shocks and very light weight , the digital displays are big and easy to read , even if the hands are over them ( the digits look gold on day light , very nice , not like the picture here which shows how it looks when the green back light is on ) . The backlight , with optional auto turn-on , is perfectly readable , and you can see , besides the big numbers , the silhouette of the analog hands over the background . I am ready to give up the 200m water resist , the solar power , the waveceptor auto time set , the automatic handles setting by the digital clock , all for the good design of this watch . It would be perfect if Casio added to this one the solar power and the auto setting of the analog clock . The dual world time , auto calendar , chronometer , timer , multiple alarms , are all common features of these watches however . The only drawback for me is the extremely thin resin band , which being very confortable , does not look long lasting . I hope I can find replacements in the future . Anyway , great watch ! My search is over . . .       • 006 4  I am a big fan of analog watches as i can somehow calculate time differences quicker with them . . . but I also wanted a stop watch and calendar on my wrist . This watch gives the best combination of both with a large easily readable digital display along with the 2 hands ( which are illuminous . . glow in the dark ) . The resin strap is more comfortable in the summer and doent pinch the hair on my wrist . The analog time is a little hard to set so i rarely change it when travelling across timezones and instead switch cities using the built in list which adjusts the digital time . The large multi lcd display also makes it easier to use than the rest of the ana-digi's out there with the teeny weenie lcd near the bottom of the dial . The downsides . . . The stainless steel bezel is a little too shiny for me ( some kinda matte wouldve looked cooler ) . Perhaps the metal version of this watch mentioned in the other reviews actually has the matte finish . I will try uploading a few photos of this watch for comparison if allowed . The watch is otherwise very good except for the thickness of the case , which is a little too much for my wrists . The exact measurements being 1.5cm thick and 4 cm wide for my 5cm wide wrists . This wouldve been the perfect watch if only it was 5mm thinner . . . i suggest u measure my given dimensions against ur wrist size before buying .

I needed a watch for the gym / travel / hiking . . . you get the point : essentially something that I wouldn't feel bad about accidentally destroying . At ~ $26 w / free shipping , this Casio was a no brainer . I travel to at least a couple of countries every year , and the dual time feature works great . The airport / region codes cover almost every time zone in the World . Although I do have a high end watch that does the same , this works great through the actual journey without the worry of damaging or losing it . The buttons are comfortable and do not get needlessly pushed with daily activities . The face has a very unique and useful seconds counter that helps me visually keep workout reps paced accurately . The strap is long enough for me , but I can't go any smaller . I have a mid-sized wrist and I can see larger wrists having a problem . The watch is very light , making it easy when on the treadmill . In all light intensities , I did not have a problem viewing the digital display . The Illuminator backlight is short , but does the job . Overall , a solid watch that you don't have to think twice about . Buy it , use it , trash it , get another . If you don't want to get another , get the G-Shock version of the same watch which costs appx twice as much .

I am very rough on watches and scratch the crystal weekly , but since this crystal is not too hard it is very easy to remove the scratches with toothpaste . . . just rub it on the scratch with your finger and it is good as new .

I wore it for 1 week and then one day it simply fell off my wrist . The point on the watch casing where the pin holding the wristband is inserted had snapped off . It appears that the hole for the pin had weakened the structural integrity of the watch casing at this point . Mind you , I'm not wearing this watch on a construction site or exposing it to any undue abuse or stress - I'm sitting in front of a computer most of the day . Anyway , I sent the broken watch off to Casio for repair , figuring it must be under warranty . Unfortunately the repair estimate came back from Casio for $46.00 - the watch casing is NOT covered under the warranty . My week-old watch had cost me $29.99 on Amazon , so it'd be cheaper to buy a new one , which I will NOT do , after this experience .

The big downside is that the face scratches easily . I had the watch for only a couple days and there are already some visible scratches . That being said , if you are looking for a stylish but functional watch and can deal with some scuffs , its a good watch . UPDATE : As I mentioned , the watch scratches very easily , but I was able to buff the scratches out with toothpaste and toothbrush , then put two light coats of clear semi-gloss varnish on the watch face . This covered the scratches and hardened the face and therefore upgraded the watch .

It's easy to program if you've ever programed any other digital watch , but setting the analog time is not as easy to figure out - I had to refer to the instructions . A couple of notes : In the photo , the silver trim looks like it has a matte finish ( which I would've preferred ) , but in actuality it is quite shiny , so that's a bit misleading . Also , the face can show scratches fairly easily , but they are usually easy enough to buff out , and the low price of the watch still makes it an outstanding value .

It is multifunctional , which is a huge plus for me because of how hectic my schedule is . I like the fact that it has 4 alarms because I know that the first one doesn't wake me up . Another plus is that it isn't too large or too small and it fits my wrist rather nicely . The wristband seems to be durable and hasn't broken yet . The watch's downfalls are that the watch face scratches VERY easily . It seems to be made out of some cheap / glass plastic ; if you have sweaty wrists then , you're at a loss because it will continually slip down . Other than those two complaints I have had no problems with this watch and would recommend it to everyone who's looking for a cheap watch with nothing more than portability and practicality in mind .

The reverse backlighting is cool and as I travel a lot I use many of the functions such as dual time and alarms . The only function I wish it had is a thermometer . My only complaint is that the band does not last as long as the battery ( which is why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars ) . My band started to crack after only 1.5 years of daily use . Replacement bands are often almost as expensive as the watch so generally not worth buying . However for the price 1.5 years of hard use is not bad .

I am really enjoying the watch . A little quirky to set up ( it is delivered in Tokyo time so you have to adjust based on the largest major city which represents your time zone - - - easy but different ) . I wish the display were a little brighter but it is sufficient . The blue glow that happens when you push the upper right button shows off the digital display well in a dark room . Have gotten unsolicited compliments on the watch by friends and colleagues . It is comfortable as well . The digital second hand animated circle is cool yet functional . All in all I am very very happy with this purchase . No leaks yet . Performs well underwater and on land .

Also , when reaching over to turn off the alarm , if you grab the entire watchface and hit all 4 buttons , everything is reset . . . not the wisest ergonomic move by them .

And you are able to toggle this function on / off by holding down the backlight button - - an icon will pop on or off the dial to let you know the state of the function . - Stylish . While the chrome top casing is only chrome-plated ( or chrome paint ) plastic , it does look pretty ncie . The dial and crystal especially look nice . The hour and minute hands are luminescent in the dark too . - World time zones and automatic , toggle-able daylight savings time . - Audible top-of-the-hour notification can be toggled on / off . - 4 different alarm settings - Countdown timer and stopwatch functions . - Lightweight and comfortable resin band . Cons : - Snooze function is pretty much worthless . First of all , you have to set it as though it's an alarm clock . For instance , if you set the alarm for 8 a.m . , you then have to set the snooze to 8 : 05 a.m . in order to attain 5 minutes of snooze time . Worst yet , it only reactivates the alarm once . . . and not for very long either . This is not a watch that heavy sleepers and slow risers should count on . - Plastic crystal ( clear cover ) . This thing is easily scratched and scuffed so watch where you swing your arm . It would be better if the crystal was glass . - When setting the hour and analog hands , it is done electronically instead of a winding wheel . This makes the movement INCREDIBLY slow ! And you can't wind it backwards either ! All in all , this is a very solid watch and a great deal for the money . It's durable enough to go anywhere with it , just be careful not to scratch that plastic crystal . And don't use this watch as an alarm clock unless you're quick to rise in the morning . You don't need a manual to set this thing to your liking , but prepare to devote a few minutes to it when it arrives in the mail . Other than a very short list of downsides , this watch is ideal for anyone . It's not gonna turn heads , but it'll do the job and do it well . If the crystal was more scratch-resistant , it would get a 5 - star from me as I'm not a stickler for waking up on time due to the lax work environment I'm currently in . The analog arms give this watch a classic looks and feel while the digital background provide ample day to day needed functions such as world timer and count down and alarm . Some reviews stated the digital background is hard to read , I happen disagree with that comment . On the contrary I think the background setup is adaquate , it is not too stand out so the outlook of the face of watch is neat and organized , while it is readable for those people need to read the information such as timer , world timer etc . . Besides , I would think most of the users would just like to check the time only for the most time they look at watch . Another function is impressive surprise is the auto-illumnation function . This function helps to illuminate the digital background in a dark or extreme light environments . The watch is also feather light , it adds no burden on the arm for day to day life . I like this watch and I am glad I have made decision to buy it .

( which beats staring at a ticking seconds hand in my opinion ) It is both analog and digital and it is pretty stylish for a 20 some odd dollar watch . It's also not too big or bulky . The features work , aren't too gimmicky , and the price is great . In the first week , with light use , the face already had scratches , and since then it has gained more . I can still read the face , but it is annoying at times to see the scratches . I cannot understand how there is not a G-shock version of this . Casio should at the very least make the black plastic face surround rise above the surface to protect against scratching . I would pay another $50 - $100 for the same watch with a toucher exterior , and solar power . Aside from that , it is , for me , a great watch that I plan to keep .

It always shows the time , which is a little annoying since that's what the handles are for . You can only show the day of the week or the date ( mm-dd ) but not both on the top portion of the display . One last negative point is the wristband . Not very durable in my opinion . Besides that , it's ok and I give it 4 stars . I actually bought it as a ' transition watch ' while I look for one that I really like .

Today , I still own a five year old Casio digital watch that has the same design / functionality and layout as my first Casio thirty year ago . I am not a nostalgic . It's just that Casio digitals have been designed and made that well which have stood the test of time , in my humble opinion . F'more , I loved the classic LCD display contrast in black . That's just elegant before the advent of other colour display panels . The display are well layout and crisp . The night illumination is just right . Multifunction such as GMT , Stop Watch , Timer , alarms , and more , are just years ahead of any mechanical / quartz watches . Just love it ! Thanks Casio and Amazon .

I've been buying Casio watches for about 20 years and since then the quality of these watches have dropped considerably . The dial for this watch runs deep , that is if you desire fat watches you may like this one . The luminescence is also weak . The price is fair for the quality of this watch , running about $25 . I returned this and bought the Casio G-Shock for men , a much better buy for $44 . Thank you .

I don't use them all the time , but I have need of stopwatch , countdown-timer and multiple alarm functions often enough to need them all . This watch provides them all in a single , affordable device . Moreover , the white-on-black analog display provides the contrast needed for my weak , middle-aged eyes to easily make out the time in a range of lighting conditions . The size of the digital displays is also more readable than many watches I've had in the past ( though it may be a little gaudy for some ) . The one drawback , as with nearly every other digital watch being marketed these days , it's not practical to change the battery when it runs out , forcing me to replace it outright when the time comes . I may be cheap , or perhaps I resent the delay to procure the new watch , but this always annoys me .

Second , when you do get it set in one time zone , slightest touch around the edges such as putting on or taking off shirt causes it to change to a different time zone . I am constantly cycling the time zone button just to lookup current time . After barely 3weeks of use , I hate this watch so much that I am already researching for a replacement watch .
