007 4 I think the older ( Top rated model ER401 ) did a better job . Here is why : Panasonic not only changed the body ( for the better ) but the also changed the blade cutting angle . Luckily , I save the old cutting head from the ER401 . They seem to be interchangeable , except the new tip is slighly longer , which means that you have to change the entire head . Just changing the new blade with the old works , but is slightly nosier . Why do they have to change something that already works very well ?

The battery cover comes off in a 1 / 4 turn and appears watertight . The blade end easily disassembles for cleaning , although there is a thin plastic stick that seems a bit frail and if it fails I sure the whole thing would die .
As far as results go , it certainly cuts hairs . It actually tickles a little in your nose and is loud in your ear . In your nose the hairs are left very short and prickley . I found this to be an uncomfortable feeling for the first 24 hours , but then got used to it .
It does what it is supposed to do , although it is very loud when used in your ear .

This model has a rotary motor that is far more effective than the vibrator type . The case is also handy for traveling .

Upon ordering this new Panasonic ER430K ear and nose hair trimmer and using it for the first time , I have to agree with some of the other informed users : it's not doing its job ! You really have to read the fine print on Panasonic's product description to learn that Panasonic changed the blade angle from 90 degrees to 60 degrees , presumably out of legal concerns because some idiots could sue Panasonic if they hurt themselves using the trimmer . The prior Panasonic devices , featuring a 90 degree blade / cutting angle were perfect for a close shave . This new , legally improved 60 degree arrangement does not cut / shave close enough and leaves 2 to 3 millimeter stubbles of hair in your nose and ears . No good . If I want to get rid of nose or ear hair , I want it gone , PERIOD , and not have stubbles remaining . If you're as perfectionist as I am , you will NOT want this improved Panasonic trimmer - - and , unfortunately , the way I understant it , this new blade / cutting angle applies to all Panasonic nose and ear hair trimmers . Amazon is amazing : ) in its return policy - - and that's the way it should be . I got the full refund and am experimenting with other nose and ear hair trimmers . Actually , I just got a cheapo $9 Conair trimmer at Bed , Bath & Beyond , and it seems to be doing its job quite nicely . However , I will reserve my final verdict until another trim .

This Vacuum Nose-Ear Hair Trimmer works as advertised , sucking up the loose hair as it cuts , preventing the otherwise inevitable sneezing and nose blowing . And I guess it prevents cut hairs from falling into your inner ear too , although I don't think this has ever posed a problem for me ( what's that you said ? )
Buyers should note that if the mirror on the cap appears dull and unreflective , you need to peel off yet another layer of plastic coating . There is a shiny , reflective glass mirror underneath , I assure you .
I also like the little cloth travel case included ; my previous Panasonic nose trimmers lacked this feature .
Do I miss the light on this model ? No , because the light never pointed at the trimming point any way - - it was more show than go .

Why is it when you you are young you wish for hair , when you start to age you wish for less of it ? I have had a few different types of nose / ear trimmers and this one ranks as the best I have owned . Does it's job quietly , safely and without pulling like some other cheap ones do . Cleaning is a snap and even comes with a nice little black pouch which can store the unit .

I have had a few different types of nose / ear trimmers and this one ranks as the best I have owned . Does it's job quietly , safely and without pulling like some other cheap ones do . Cleaning is a snap and even comes with a nice little black pouch which can store the unit .

The previous Panasonic model that I had for years worked very well , but in this version only the vacuum is working OK . It will take you a lot of time to catch a hair or two . You will be much better off using tweezers or scissors . And what is the deal with the stupid mirror ? For the first time in my life I see a mirror that doesn't reflect anything .

The trimmer is just what I wanted . It's a little thicker than the previous one I had but it only helps to hold it . It's quiet and the internal fan helps to remove the hair in once it's been cut . Great item . Nice little cary bag as well too .

Both of us think this trimmer does a poor job compared to our old , less expensive Panasonic trimmers . It takes too long to do even a small clean up job because it does not seem to cut well nor fast enough . I suppose the vacuum is nice , but we never had an issue without one so I am junking these and replacing them with the simpler model like we had before .

Takes a bit of doing to get results , not sure why , maybe the blades . Had one before that worked great until it was dropped .

Excellent product , i had a Panasonic prior to this model and was quite satisfied so stayed with the brand . This one seems more durable , easy to use and very effective - - - absolutely no flaws except it is a bit more cumbersome than the previous model and did not come with all the handy attachments ( which most women never use anyway ) . . . . it is ideal for nose hair removal - - - never use tweezers and sneezes again . WARNING : should not be used on your eyebrows . . . . unless you are trying to remove them . . . . and yes , i tried that . . . still waiting for them to grow back . . .

I've had several Panasonic trimmers , and this one is the best . The motor is stronger than the others , and the vacuum feature helps . But one drop onto a hard floor and the unit is dead . I've dropped 3 or 4 Panasonic trimmers over the years and each one died on impact .
104 4 I just turned 30 and my nose hair has started to get out of control . I guess I just assumed that it wouldn't happen to me but , alas , it did . When I first noticed the occasional hair poking it's ugly head out of my nostril I decided to purchase a beard trimmer with a nose hair attachment . It was okay for those baby hairs but at some point in the aging process they got out of hand and I needed a solution . I debated spending $20 such a specialized product but it was absolutely worth it .
The product runs on a single AA battery , I'm using an Energizer Lithium battery for extended life . The unit is also larger than I expected , the size is required to support the vacuum motor and fan , but it's not too big , it fits comfortably in my hand . A cap is supplied to cover the end that spends the most time crammed into your nose . On said clip there is a small mirror in case you need to trim up when no mirror is available , an added bonus . The small black inconspicuous bag is also a nice touch . Now that I spent the money I sort of wished I would have spent a little more for a unit with a built-in light .

So I got the box and unpacked the thing which wasn't hard to do , stuck a battery in the bottom and tried it out . It worked well enough I suppose , it cut the hairs but only vacuumed up some of the hair while leaving others behind . I ' say it vacuumed up about 50% , so obviously I sneezed a few times . . .
A few other things , the mirror on the cap is dull and not really good for anything . The case is made of decent quality cloth with a slight velvety feel to it but sufficient . Also , to clean the thing is not the easiest thing in the world .
Overall a good trimmer , but not perfect . 4 stars because it accomplishes it's main function . . . Cutting the hair .

This little thing is very useful and works very well . I've been using it for over three years now and I haven't changed its batteries a single time . Its very easy to clean and does the job in seconds . I am very happy with the product . I am not sure , if Panasonic has introduced any upgraded version of this , but the value you get from this product is way beyond the price you pay for it . It's worth it ; It saves my time and makes me look and feel better .

The trimmer seems to cut hair in my nose and ears . It takes more effort than I think it should , but that may be due to my not knowing how to get the most out of the product . I don't think there are classes on the subject and there may not be a need for them , but I could use some direction .

This is stainless steel with vacuum tech nose hair trimmer , moreover , it is hypo-allergenic.By the way you can rinse it under water and also great for those hard-to-reach ass hair .

151 4 This trimmer , while looking sophisticated in photos , is not really very useful . If you just want to trim your nose and in-the-ear hair , then buy it with confidence - it does a great job in trimming those hair . But I was disappointed when I finally got it and used it . It does not cut at all other hair - all those hair all over your ears , all those almost invisible hair on your upper cheeks , etc . I had a trimmer for about 14 years until its motor burned out - it cut all those other hair and I also used it to cut hair in my arm pits and even my pubes . Plus another good thing about that old trimmer was that as it worked all hair fell off instead of depositing inside it . But this trimmer collects all hair inside its cutting cap that I have to remove and clean after every use . I cannot use it on arm pits and pubes also because those big hair would collect inside it and might damage it .
I would say do not buy it - you probably need a multi-purpose trimmer like the one I had for 14 years .

It requires 1 AA battery and amazingly spins at extremely high RPMs . As a result , hair trimming is quick , easy , & painless . It didn't pull the hairs or make my eyes water . . . I'm impressed . Also , the vacuum feature seems to work as advertised . I had no left over trimmings in my nose to cause itching or sneezing . The only negative I could find is that it will actually trim VERY close and thoroughly , leaving almost a stubble in your nose that can be irritating for a couple days when you rub your nose . Now I just don't trim as thoroughly and I have no issues . Thanks for a great product Panasonic !

Not the best and not the worst I've used . I actually like a larger more substantial trimmer . My last was much more powerful . Used c cell batteries . I do enjoy the vacuum , but feel this also draws too much power away from the cutting blade .
Pro's - Vacuum , light weight , portable , wet / dry use , and effective
Con's - underpowered , takes several passes to complete job
I would rate it a 3.5 , but amazon doesn't have half star ratings . The price is average , but I still recommend this overall .

This trimmer is . . . OK . It would work better if it were more powerful . Plus , it really doesn't trim the hair close enough . I don't want to have to wait until the hairs are 1 / 2 or even 1 / 4 inch long before the trimmer decides to cut them . Overall , I wouldn't recommend it .

We've had this since Dec . 2009 . I had great expectations , but the performance is not that much better than our $8 cheapo . It still doesn't catch the hairs without a lot of manipulation and effort .

This is the first ear / nose hair trimmer I have ever used , so I have nothing to compare it to . The unit feels substantial and well made . The battery cover comes off in a 1 / 4 turn and appears watertight . The blade end easily disassembles for cleaning , although there is a thin plastic stick that seems a bit frail and if it fails I sure the whole thing would die .
As far as results go , it certainly cuts hairs . It actually tickles a little in your nose and is loud in your ear . In your nose the hairs are left very short and prickley . I found this to be an uncomfortable feeling for the first 24 hours , but then got used to it .
It does what it is supposed to do , although it is very loud when used in your ear .

This is the 3 rd Panasonic I have tried ! ! ! The 1 st one I purchased many yrs ago was the best . It was perfect until I dropped it and it was damaged . The 2nd more upscale one was a dud . This 3 rd fancy one with vacuum and carry bag was more expensive and was just NOT effective . It does NOT cut as advertised and is a POOR choice . Please Panasonic , you can do better .
