Panasonic DECT 6.0-Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1032S)

  • - - I bought it for the speakerphone , the headset plug , the cordless feature , and muting . I've been on 2 simultaneous conference calls where I've got this phone muted and I'm on a headset while talking on my cell phone on the other ear . - - It's also great to have an intercom feature on it . I can call my wife downstairs . - - Came with 2 handsets and an answering machine , which I don't use . - - No big ugly base with it , just a nice compact charging station , saving me desk space . - - I charge it at night and it's enough for 12 + hours of use . - - Phonebook syncing between handsets takes 5 seconds , wirelessly . - - DECT 6.0 keeps it from having interference even though it's sitting right above my wireless Netgear router , which is transmitting at 2.9Ghz . I know someone who has that problem . Cons : - - Maybe 2 - 5 times in a week , I'll call someone and they can't hear me on the other side . I hang-up , call back , and it's fine . It could be my provider ( Comcast ) but there's no way for me to diagnose without buying another set . I may have to exchange the set . - - Number of missed calls is constantly displayed and there is no way ( from the manual or their website ) to clear it from the display . It's supposed to display time and date , but I can't ever see it since I can't clear the calls-missed . It makes the display useless . - - When I'm on a phone call , the number I dialed or the caller's number is not displayed . I'm constantly multi-tasking that I forget who I dialed while it's still ringing . I also can't see a caller's number when I'm on the call ( it does before I pick it up ) so I have to ask them the number if I have to call them back . Again , I don't know if that's a Comcast feature or the phone's , but it's annoying . - - I guess I'm used to cell phones displaying recent callers ' or dialed numbers , so I can save it from the list . No features like that on here , but it would be nice to have . I have to enter it again to save it . - - Menu and controls are non-intuitive , though it's not rocket science . - - I always wrestle with the rubber plug cover to connect my headset . Otherwise , the phone is phenomenal . I still definitely recommend it , with minor annoyances . And it's very nice looking . Update : March 2009 The phone is still my favorite phone in the house . However , there have been a few times when the phone just stops working . I have it connected to the line along with other sets ( different makes ) and this pair would not pick up the caller ID and also , when I pick it up to make calls , not have dial tone or work at times . It's shown this flaky behavior before as well with regards to my being heard by the person I just called . Then , it just somehow heals after a few days . I don't know what triggers the problems and I don't know how it heals . The call quality is still excellent and the speaker phone feature is still my favorite .
    • 004 4  From the description and other reviews , I thought the range would be greater . I have a big yard and I don't expect the phone to reach all of it but I was hoping for a bit more , front and back . Moving the base from upstairs to downstairs didn't help . I did better with my defunct 900MHZ phone . I also wish there was a button for the ringer ( on / off ) and a volume control for the handsets . If I cannot hear well , I use the speakerphone function and that does make it louder but it's not a great solution . All of that said , I like the phone . It is small but still a good size for your hand & for dialing . The display lights up quite well & I like the selection of ringtones . The intercom feature is nice & the instruction manual is easily understood . The phone is intuitive to use & is the first phone we've had that uses a phonebook instead of memory - much like a cell phone contacts list . I have not tried the answerer features yet . I like the multiple handsets & will probably buy another for one more room . Altogether , it is a good phone so far & aside from the range complaint , I would probably buy it again . Update 6 / 2008 : Still working as well as when I bought it . I have adjusted mentally for the range problem so I don't think about it anymore . LOVE the caller id function & voice mail functions , never did set up the answerer .
    • 027 4  Bought this phone about 2 months ago . I work from home and am constantly on the phone with clients and on conference calls . • 047 4  I thought this phone would have better range based on the reviews but the minority expressing its poor range was right . I live on the 6th floor of a 6 story building and i am able to maintain pretty steady communications on the first floor with my 2.4 Ghz Panasonic . This is not the case with this Dect 6.0 . I can't really connect at all unless i go outside under my window . If you plan to use this in a big building , you may wish to forget about this Dect 6.0 . The call screening feature is nice in that it allows you to listen to messages on the handsets as they are being left . The only problem is that there does not appear to be a auto-message-delete function that deletes the message if the phone is answered while the message is being left . This means you have to delete the messages manually before going anywhere if you want to determine if there are any new messages by looking at the base when you get home . With the lack of a digital indicator on the base that tells you how many messages you have , the indicator light would still be flashing from the messages you picked up on if you don't delete them before you leave . This is definitely a inconvenience for someone that screens calls with the answering machine . On the plus side , if this phone has a 17 hour talk time with its included 550 mah batteries , you could probably talk for a day straight with replacement 1000 mah batteries . I also like the more comfortable size of the phone and buttons compared to other current cordless phones .
    • 085 4  Great product , for a great price , with one significant drawback . Most of the time , when an incoming caller hangs up before the answering machine starts recording the message , the answering machine screws up - - it leaves the line open for about 15 - 30 seconds , recording the automated If you'd like to make a call , please . . . . Apparently , there is a problem with some Panasonic phones where they do not detect no-message hangup-s properly . It can be really annoying if you get a lot of calls like that . Otherwise the phone is top-notch . By the way , I did call Panasonic support , and got in touch with a live representative ( that also spoke English well , what a win ! ) a minute . I explained the situation and she advised me to unplug power to the phone , and then reconnect the power while holding a 3 - button combo ( Stop-Skip-AnswerOn ? ) . If that didn't work , I had the option of exchanging the phone , as it is still under warranty . Unfortunately , the 3 button magic didn't work , and I just left it at that . What's the point to pay for return shipping of a fifty dollar phone , and then go without a phone ( or at least an answering machine ) for weeks ?

  • 009 4  Less than a month after the purchase , the base-unit button for retrieving the message stops working . Manufacturer's technical / customer support is practically non-existent . The limited 1 yr warranty provides only a replacement with a refurbished ( NOT NEW ! ) product , and only if the customer mails the phone to their TX center , at own expense . Panasonic , shame on you ! ! !
    • 028 4  The only reason I gave this phone 1 star is because I can't give it zero ! I bought this phone as a replacement for a 5 - year-old VTECH cordless phone that I bought for $15 . While the VTECH phone was deficient in many ways ( poor battery life , questionable sound quality ) , at least it always had a clear connection to the base from anywhere in my apartment . The problem with this phone started when I hooked it up , charged it overnight , and then turned it on . Without even calling anyone , I could tell there was a connection problem between the handset and the base . Anytime I walked more than 10 feet away from the base , the dial tone ( and , when I called people , their voices ) began to crack and break up , even if I was in direct line-of-sight to the base . By the time I got to the other end of my apartment ( about 40 feet away ) , the breaking-up of the signal was so bad , it was impossible to have a conversation . I called Panasonic tech services , who walked me through a couple of steps ( registering the handset to the base , etc . ) , but nothing helped . So I called Customer Service and arranged to return the phone ( at my own expense . ) I was assured that they would thoroughly test a replaement phone before they sent it to me . I then waited about 12 days for the replacement phone to show up . My first surprise came when I openend the shipping box . While I had sent them my brand new phone , carefully repacked in the retail box , the phone I received from them contained all the parts taped and shrink-wrapped onto a piece of cardboard . ( It turns out that they replace any returned phone , even a brand new one , with a refurbished phone , which I take to mean someone else's broken phone which they have attempted to repair . I'm sure that , as I write this , someone somewhere is receiving my broken phone as a replacement for the one they sent in . ) Sure enough , I plugged in this phone and charged it , and then turned it on . It had the same problem . Not as bad , but by the time I was about 20 feet away from the base , the crackling and breaking up began , and at 40 feet away , it was noticeable and disturbing . I called Customer Service , and the rep said that the problem was due to where the phone base was located , and I should move it somewhere else . I explained that the phone was in my kitchen , plugged into the only phone jack in my apartment ( and that the cheap VTECH phone had never had this problem . ) He then insisted that the problem was interference from nearby electronic devices . I explained that the only electrical devices nearby were a refrigerator and a dishwasher , and the nearest computer was about 20 feet away . He then suggested I take the phone to a neighbor's home , plug it in , and walk around their apartment testing the phone ( I'm sure ! ) . So he said I would have to return the phone and wait for a replacement , and offered to email me a prepaid UPS label , which he said I would receive by email in 24 - 48 hours . I asked why I hadn't been offered a prepaid UPS label the first time I returned the phone , and he said he didn't know . I asked what would happen if the next phone they sent me had the same problem , and he said I would have to return that phone too , and they would then consider another solution , but he wouldn't tell me what that other solution was . I asked to speak to a Supervisor , and was put on hold for 15 minutes . When a Supervisor finally came on the line , he asked me to explain my problem from the beginning . I asked him if he had not been briefed by the rep ( during my 15 minute wait ! ) or read about my problem in the case file , and he said he had , but it was their policy to hear the whole story from the customer . After going through the whole thing again , he offered no new information , assistance , or solutions . I asked him why they had Supervisors if they were not empowered to do anything more than the reps to satisfy an unhappy customer , and he had no answer . To end this long story , I received the prepaid UPS label 6 days later ( ! ) , but it was too late . I have bought a new phone , made by a competitor and less expensive ( which worked fine right out of the box ) and thrown this piece of junk in the garbage and chalked it up to an expensive lesson : don't buy products from this company .

  • 039 4  I believe this is over rated as I believed it had a longer range . . I was looking for something to work in my backyard . . It is approx . 165 feet long , and this works maybe through half the yard . I was more than slightly disappointed in the product . It is better than my last cordless phone , but far less than I expected it to be . I would not recommend this to someone who is looking for range , since it is a disappointment .
    • 016 4  Liked everything about the phone except for an important flaw . The voice volume would fad out - when I increased the volume using the control it would go up but quickly go back down again . Panasonic will honor a one year warranty and agreed to replace it since my 15 days to return to the seller was up .
    • 057 4  Phones worked fine , but had to return it due to defective answering system . Base station would not alert to a message nor could one play the message from the base station . Playing a message from the handset produced a garbled message . It was like listening to a 45 rpm record being played at 78 rpms .
    • 106 4  I was looking for a new phone and answering system to replace my old one . The first thing I did was to check the Consumer Reports ratings . They recommended the Panasonic KX-TG1032S . It arrived within the promised time frame and was easy to set up and use . I also got it at a great price . I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it .
    • 147 4  We first ordered the KX-TG9332T from amazon and it was awful , constantly telling us to Re-establish Link to Base . This phone , however , seems to work exactly as advertised . I guess that means it should receive top marks . It's just a phone , so I can't rave about it , but call quality , battery life , and ease of use are good . I haven't really tested the range but it works perfectly within the confines of my house .
    • 174 4  This Panasonic set is very clear and has large lettering in viewer and good volumn adjustment . It is even one of the few phones that my husband has been able to hear well on . The built in answering machine is just a convenient plus . I would definitely recommend this phone .
    • 194 4  It is an average basic phone . Sometimes , there is a lot of static to the point I can not even hear anything but static . The design is out dated . The buttons are not back lit . I think it is over priced .

  • 042 4  Excellent phone system . Our old phone was starting to fail and my wife wanted a new better system . Well we decide to give this one a shot and it was worth it . Excellent reception and a very clear digital answering maching . We have not played with all the functions yet . The only had thinf so far is turning off the ringer , it takes a little time going through menus to get to it , it could have been made easier .
    • 048 4  got these phones due to previous cordless jamming our wireless network . Sound quality is great , everything works and no wi-fi interference . Well worth it !
    • 115 4  we kept on having problems with our previous phone as it interfered with our wireless internet service . This worked great . No more interference and the voice quality is much better than what we had . the phone and the base both are sleek and beautiful . The only downside is the fact that the base display does not tell you how many messages you have .
    • 149 4  Our old panasonic was dieing . Guess it was the battery . Cost of this phone not much more than battery . So what we got for the extra money was an additional phone for the living room and a phone which has better clarity . Pretty good deal .
    • 178 4  These phones are exactly what we needed in our little condo . Sound clarity is excellent , the answering device is very easy to use , the speakerphone is great . Absolutely no complaints from this user . It's all we wanted or needed in a cordless phone .

  • 059 4  The Panasonic KX-TG1032S cordless telephone delivered on all the advertised promises . The real proof of the pudding , sound quality , is exceptionally crisp and clear . Interference from a microwave was a factor in the cordless phone it replaced , but not with this unit . I would like to second the previous comments about ease of set-up and operation ; I don't know how you could make it any easier . The feature that automatically replicates changes to one handset in the other is appreciated . I have yet to purchase any Panasonic product that wasn't first rate . Ignor the good deals on all those non-DECT phones that are presently being dumped by retailers and buy this outfit ! You won't be disappointed .
    • 137 4  I did allot of research.Loved my old 6ghz.I fell for this new DECT , no one can hear or understand , due to all the breaking up.Wish I could return it , tossed the box . The land line is not dead , not many choices ! !
    • 165 4  Had been looking for a new cordless phone and wanted it to be a DECT phone . After reading reviews posted , and having previous good experience with Panasonic products , I placed my order . WOW ! It has exceeded all my expectations - - the voice quality is great , having the larger keypad super and talk time is far and above any other phone I've had ! It was a great purchase !

  • 060 4  Phone was easy to set up and start using . Voice quality is excellent - just like a corded phone . The phone uses a different wireless spectrum so there is no interference from other wireless devices , networks , etc . The phones use regular AA NiMH rechargeable batteries . So when the batteries go bad , you're not held hostage by an expensive , proprietary battery manufactured exclusively for a specific phone . The only disappointment is related to the answering machine . It does't indicate the number of messages you have . Also , once you listen to a message , you can not turn on the message indicator light . So if I listen to a message that turns out to be for my wife , when my wife comes home she will NOT have any visual indication that a new message exists on the answering machine for her . The Caller ID displaying the # of missed calls would be the only indicator that she missed a call and may have a a message . But it does audibly time and date stamp each message ! Distance isn't as good as a 5.8GHz . But it's a small trade-off when you consider the benefits and is still more than adequate for any large home . So you can't walk a block away and use your phone . Big Deal ! The last benefit is the phone book and its interaction with Caller ID . Nice feature to customize how callers are displayed . And when you create phone book entries in one phone , you can simply copy them to the other phones . That way , you can easily have the same phone book in each phone or keep them different if you like . It's nice to have both options ! The intercom feature is another plus and easy to use ! Great phone !
    • 038 4  This is one of the worst purchases I have ever made on Amazon . Although the description touts a substantial signal range , no one on the other end can understand me if I am more than ten feet away from the base station - - the signal just breaks up . When I leave the room where the base station is , I get a message that I am too far away and am unable to make a call . To top it off , sometimes the buttons stick down , which is particularly annoying when you're trying to get your bank balance , for instance . These phones are a must to avoid , just awful .
    • 065 4  Best phone out there , uses standard AAA Nimh batteries . Excellent sound and noise free operation . Have purchased 3 sets for friends .
    • 078 4  I purchased the phone for my Mom as a gift . It had the features she wanted and additional ones I liked . For her , the large buttons , speaker phone , small size of base , ease of use and additional handset were a plus . I liked the fact that it had a headset jack , but the real deciding factor was that the handsets took regular rechargeable AAA batteries instead of those funky little phone batteries with the little plug and wires that never seem to fit anywhere . The message retrieval was simply the touch of a button , so both of us liked that . Since then I have purchased one for myself as well , and the sound is clear , and when on mute , there's no distracting beeping , so I'm happy with the phone over all . There is another choice of this model that comes with 4 handsets , or you can add more to this one . Now if it lasts , we're good to go ! ! ! The only thing I didn't prefer was where it was manufactured .
    • 096 4  I've used this system for more than 18 months and it has performed flawlessly . I've had no difficulty establishing and maintaining clear connections up to 150 feet , I haven't tried from a greater distance . Battery life between charges has been much better than previous cordless sets . The batteries are Ni-Mh AAA which means replacements will be easy to find locally at reasonable prices , my previous cordless models all required proprietary batteries . The extra charging base has made it very convenient to keep at least one handset fully charged at all times . The only feature I miss from former models is a counter for incoming messages .
    • 101 4  Works better than our previous V-Tech , is lighter , more solid , easier to program , well lit , and has a SpeakerPhone which is a rare feature for a phone set that is this inexpensive . We are pleased with our purchase and highly recommend this phone set . Oh , and it takes AAA batteries instead of those awkward battery packs .
    • 151 4  I bought these phones for one main reason . They take AAA rechargeable batteries . I had Uniden phones before this and when the batteries went , I bought new ones and they didn't last any time at all and were quite expensive . Also , surprisingly , these phones are very simple to use . Love the Speakerphone and built in phone book . The volumne on these phones doesn't go as high as I'd like . Sometimes , if I'm in the middle of something , I like to lay the phone down and continue working . I still do that , but not if I have to lay the phone too far from where I am . I don't know how long these phones will last , but I'm very happy with them so far .
    • 158 4  The Panasonic phone we had for years served us well but this one seems to have more power , cleaner sound and works for longer without constant charging . Also , it's nice to do away with totally proprietary batteries and go with rechargeable AAAs . May not be as easy to understand for people who have problems with pressing more than one button to do things like read the caller ID , but overall seems to work and sound better than I expected for a reasonable price and is expandable . Good phone for the money .

  • 073 4  For the money , this one's hard to beat , but unlike my last cordless phone , this one does not have a lighted key pad . It does not tell , at a glance , how many messages there are . If the light shows ' red ' , you have at least one message . A better system would be to have a flashing number of new messages and then after listening to them , a non-flashing number of messages . It would be better if the scroll key could be used to go through the ' phone book ' rather than hit the ' phone book ' key first . There are other small issues , but overall , it's a good phone for the money . The sound is clear and the speaker phone works well . If desired , you can listen to messages with the handset instead of being at the base . You can't hear a message while it's being recorded , which may be a good thing if you have company and don't want someone to hear your business . It could be bad if you are considering picking up the phone if the message is one that would have prompted you to so do .
    • 081 4  I am extremely pleased with this phone . There is no interference while on a call , the range allows me to take it outside and still get reception . I like the easy set up and the speaker phone is great for dealing with all the automated phone systems that businesses now have . Also , when the answering machine picks up , you can hear it automatically at the other handset , so you can decide whether or not to answer the phone . I would highly recommend this phone and answering system .
    • 116 4  This unit is efficient , and easy to use . All the functions perform well . Setup was a breeze , and after about a month of use , with a similar unit on the other side of the bed , there have been no problems with the quality of reception , or any other problems for that matter . I would recommend this unit highly .
    • 139 4  I just bought this phone as a gift based on the great reviews . I am currently returning it due to very poor volume control . During a conversation , the volume starts out normal then minutes later fades out so that you can no longer hear the other person even while increasing the handset volume . Going back to Uniden .
    • 157 4  The phone reception and the answering machine work great . The controls aren't super easy like some other phones . The biggest pain to me is that you have to push the button twice to get the caller id history to be displayed , which is annoying when I am in a hurry . Overall , the phone is great .
    • 161 4  This is a good set of phones . Call quality , battery life and range are great . The only small problem I have is with the headphones I bought which were the panasonic headphones recommended by Amazon . They work fairly well but if you move the connector during a call it causes static which can be heard by both parties . As long as I use the clip to rest the phone on my belt or pocket I'm usually fine to walk around without static . But if I hold the phone in my hand with the headphones on there usually is static . Few products are perfect and this one comes close except for that one issue .

  • 108 4  This Panasonic phone is really well made and very easy to use . I'm a very picky buyer and I researched phones for a long time . . as I do with most things that I purchase . I'm probably the typical guy who opens the box up and starts playing with the phone before I get the manual out . I was able to walk myself through the operation including the progamming of the phone book number storage feature . Doesn't interfer with my wireless network whate so ever ! My dad just bought the same phone after trying mine out . Battery life is great ! If I talk about 1 hour , the battery level drops only 1 bar of 3 ! ! No static , No interference , No noise , No crackeling .
    • 062 4  After hooking them up to charge , one phone was getting real hot while on the cradle . It fully charged up & then it would not work at all . I re-inserted the batteries & the phone started working again but then the ringer stuck when someone called us on this one phone only . I sent them back & we got the Panasonic Dect black phones with the answering machine & the colorful view screen . At least they work !
    • 063 4  everything I hoped for except for volume ; not loud enough for some voices , using maximun volume creates some interference .
    • 076 4  I bought this phone 5 months ago . This particular model of Panasonic is good in many ways . I can take it to the back of my garden , and it works great . Excellent reception when it works . However , sometimes when I pick up the phone when it rings , it's just dead . I have to re-plug it into the electrical outlet several times before it will work again . Digital phones all seem to have their little quirks .
    • 093 4  This is the worst cordless phone I've ever used . The range is limited to the room with the base . It's so bad that if anything is between the handset and the base you lose most of the signal . If you go into another room you can't hear anything but static . I wish I could return this set but I bought it online and with shipping and restocking fee , it's not worth it . Lesson learned , don't but Panasonic cordless phones . A tin can and string would be better .
    • 111 4  I've had these a couple of months now and am very happy with them . I like the way the caller I.D . and messages come through the handsets . The menu system in the handsets is easy to operate and I haven't needed to look at the manual to learn how to operate the phones . I hoped the range would be a bit longer , it's about 100 feet with the handset outdoors and base station located inside . I also like the larger numbers on the keypad .
    • 191 4  This cordless phone is quite neat . The sound quality is good and the range is excellent . I like the phonebook setup as you can see the person who is calling although I do not have the call waiting feature available on my service . The answering machine works well also . I would recommend this model telephone to anyone .

  • 127 4  Great reception , clear and powerful audio . I can walk throughout the whole house , from the basement to the second floor without any lost of signal ( The house is a 3 level townhouse ) . It operates in frequencies that does not interfere with baby monitors , microwave ovens , and other common household appliances . Most importantly , it does not interfere with our Wifi . This is my setup - I paired this device to our Ooma system which is wired to the back of a Linksys wireless N router . For me , this is a biggie . I really love that it uses AAA's batteries ( NiMh - make sure not to use regular alkalines ) instead of a proprietary battery pack . I was able to use it right away by placing my ready supply of low discharge batteries from Sanyo = - neloop , Duracel or Rayovac . The charging base uses the same type of AC adapter that is used by both the main and the accessory handsets base so there is no confusion for plugging the correct adapter . There is not too many useless buttons . Button are big enough for ease of use . Very easy to operate . The redial button stores 5 recent numbers instead of one . It would be better if the bases are a little heavier for stability . Just a bit pricy compared to competition .
    • 006 4  This is now my fourth expandable wireless phone system for my home . Every one suffered from inability to provide me a clear signal everywhere on my property , and particularly one wing of my home where my wife has a workroom for her business . This is the first phone that gave us a clear signal everywhere , through all the walls and as far away from the base as I could get . I also very much like the use of a standard size ( AAA ) NiMH battery - the proprietary batteries in all the other phones were very expensive to replace once they failed ( and fail they will if you use the phone actively long enough ) . UPDATE : after a couple months , all is not as good as it seemed . Some days I have good range , other days some of the handsets cannot even connect to the base . Unlike the analog 5.8MHz phones it replaced instead of deteriorating signal , when the signal is not strong enough it just drops the connection to the base . Once about 2 weeks ago my wife was sitting 3 feet from the base station and had 3 calls dropped in the space of a half hour . I am beginning to wonder if this base is defective , as I have a second base with two handsets and have not experienced any of the problems the first base is having ( but then I don't range quite as far with those phones ) . I will also experiment with alternate placements of the base to see if there is interference ( for example my wife often sets her laptop right in front of it ) . So we had a promising start but now there is question as to whether I can keep this or not . I will update again after some experimentation .
    • 051 4  This phone works fine for me . I don't use many of the features ( answering machine , caller ID , different ringers ) , all I wanted was a good cordless phone to go where my corded phones won't . Works fine , no problems , a big improvement over my old 900GHz phones in that it's as clear as a corded phone , has no external antenna to break off , and uses ordinary AA NiMH rechargeable batteries that are cheap and easy to replace when they wear out . I like that I can dial either before or after taking the phone off hook , that the display shows the number I'm dialing , and I have the option for either automatically answering the phone when I take it out of the cradle or waiting until I hit the button . And although I haven't used it and I suspect it's slightly non-intuitive , I like that it has the ability to transfer calls from one handset to another and to conference in a second handset .
    • 056 4  I've owned lots of cordless phones in the past , and these are the absolute best . 1 ) Ability to listen to messages on any handset is great 2 ) Speakerphone on every handset 3 ) Simple and small answering machine 4 ) Great audio quality , no interference or static 5 ) Uses standard rechargable AA batteries
    • 083 4  This phone is good , but not great . It can sound like you are talking in a tin can sometimes , but not all the time . Usually sounds pretty good . I don't like the selection of ring tones , there is no normal one . I don't like the menu system that much . You have to press the same button twice to see the caller ID list for missed calls . The intercom system works well . It goes from the basement to the second floor just fine ( base station on first floor ) .
    • 099 4  I have had several other cordless / answering system phones . So far this one is very good by comparison . Audio , range and features are good and so far battery life is fine . Units need to be recharged about every six days . It uses standard rechargeable AAA batteries which is much better than some proprietary one .
    • 107 4  My husband and I were looking for a cordless phone system with a large , clear screen for displaying caller ID , etc . We also wanted larger numbers on the keypad . We are in the over 50 crowd that needs glasses to read things more clearly . This fit the bill ! The reception is great . No problem hearing the person on the other end . It is a great system and being expandable makes it even better . We have many Panasonic products in our home and have never been disappointed . C.S . / Texas
    • 179 4  I have had this Panasonic cordless phone for more than a year now . It works great . The sound quality is very good and it has some great features too . Caller ID : I love the caller ID where it matches the phone number against the stored number in the phonebook . Phonebook : The phonebook feature is good . I am no longer looking for phone numbers from my cellphone or internet directories . I have stored all the numbers that I need . Intercom : My wife and I use the intercom a lot when she is in the kitchen and I am in the basement or the garage . Cordless Range : I have tried 150 ft and it worked great . Battery Life : Goes really good . Now after a year , one handset seems to lose charge soon but the other one still goes for almost a week . In any case it uses the standard AAA batteries so I know I don't have to waste money on proprietary batteries . Voice quality : No static or disturbance . The speaker phone with mute facility is great too for my business conference calls . Answering machine : I don't use this since I have Vonage and I use the Vonage facility instead .
    • 197 4  Pros : light weight , 6.0 technology , uses AA battery ( unlike other cordless phones - don't have to pay lot of money for replacing the batteries once they go bad ) , good speaker phone , 3.5 mm jack . Cons : nothing major , just the keypad does not have back light which makes it difficult to dial in the dark

  • 133 4  This phone set is just magnificient . I bought a piece for my grandmother in India and sent it to her via a friend . Just got information from my grandmother that she changed the power adapter to suit the Indian voltage specifications ( for just Rs 180 , which is equivalent to $4 ) . She says that the voice quality is absolutely brilliant and that the battery life has been very good . I am also able to notice the difference in the quality of the call while I talk to her from the US . Definitely a piece that one can buy and send to anyone in this world , very easy to use .
    • 045 4  Before I found this phone I thought I was just going to have to put up with static when using a corless phone . I bought one after reading online reviews and I am telling you the reviews are dead on . The range of this phone is farther than any other I have owned . I love the features : handset-handset intercom , choice of ring tones , listening to messages over any handset , screening callers over any handset ( you don't have to be at the ansering machine to hear people leaving you a message ) . I only bought the two handset package but I will be adding more .
    • 166 4  I am a little disappointed with this phone . Loved my little red panasonic phone and thought I would love this phone . For whatever reason , the phone lets you know how many calls you missed , ( I don't care . ) Phone is also a problem if you have other wireless items in the area , like your computer . The phone and my wireless MacBook do not work well together , so I had to move the phone away from the computer . And , there is this strange dead space when you are talking on the phone like you suddenly went deaf . Other than that , the phone is fine .
    • 176 4  The quality of This phone is better than average . The Only drawback that I have found is the way you delete calls on the caller Id ( too Involved ) and the fact that the auto dial is quite slow . Otherwise the phone has performed well .
    • 181 4  Bought refurbished phone , works fine . Only feature that would make this a five star is that it has no do not disturb feature .

  • 135 4  I purchased a factory-refurbished set , so got a really good deal . I have been totally satisfied with the functionality and quality of this phone . The only thing I can think of that annoys me , is unlike my last phone with caller id , it records every separate call from the same number , so there's more to erase . ( My last phone would only store one entry in the caller id list for each unique calling number - - with a count of the number of times and the time of last call . )
    • 052 4  The best cordless phone set that we have ever had . Voice quality is very good . Phone book is easy . I probably should have given it 5 stars except that the range is not as far as I would like . We have an old 2 - story house and have the base at one end downstairs . If you are talking at the other end of the house upstairs , you have a 50 / 50 chance of being able to converse .
    • 104 4  We like the intercom . We like that you only have to program one phone in the set and they send the saved numbers to the other phones ( we have 3 ) . We like the intercom . Each phone ( handset ) also has a speakerphone funcion . Sound quality is good . It has been a month and I have no complaints at all ! Highly recommended !
    • 192 4  I recieved my Panasonic Phone in perfect condition , however , noone likes to talk to me on it because of the loud buzzing and fuzz . Also it does react to the internet . If the phone is in use , the internet cannot be . That was why I bought the phone , because it was promised not to interfear with internet . I am truley dissapointed .
    • 193 4  Very clear communication . Easy to program numbers and the copy from one handset to the other is a real timesaver . We have only two handsets but if we get any more all I have to do is copy the numbers from one or both on to it by hitting only three buttons . The large keypad numbers make a big difference also .
    • 196 4  Received this item about 1 month ago . Works great . The sound quality is so much better than our previous phone ( then again that one was 5 years old ) . I have a hearing loss and wear hearing aids . This phone works with my hearing aids to give me good audio from the handset . I can now use this phone to make and receive calls where before I had to use my cell phone . Very pleased .

  • 160 4  I had a problem with one handset , right out of the box . One charged fine . . . the other would never charge . I tried switching batteries , though they were packaged together , and worked in the other handset . No help . Still kept saying charge battery . Then I switched bases . . . . still would not charge ! I called Panasonic , and customer support said I'd have to send it back , and they would either fix it , or send me a refurbished one . WHY should I pay $67 and have a non-working phone , new out of the box , replaced with a refurbished one ! ? ? ? If I wanted to use a used phone , I would have been out there looking for used phones , and paying a lot less . Shame on you , Panasonic , for your lack of standing by the quality of your products . I should have been offered a new phone replacement immediately . Some one here said , and they're right . . . why should I get to use someone else's phone they sent back , or someone end up getting the one I sent back ? ! We bought , and paid for , NEW ! I noticed the price on the phones just dropped dramatically . . . wonder why ?
    • 071 4  I'd recommend this product in a minute . The reception is very clear and the volume can be adjusted from soft to very loud . The setup was a breeze and the fact that the answering machine can be operated from the handsets is a great feature . The only gripe I have is that the phone menu is awkward to navigate with the circular pad .

  • 164 4  We've had ours for about a year , and have been very happy with them . We don't use the answering machine aspect , so I can't speak to that , but the phones work well , I drop them all the time an they don't break , they are nice looking and modern , I like the silver color , and the feature I like best is that the speaker phone from the handsets works really well . I work from home and whenever I am on a call and need to use my hands , I activate the speaker phone , and have never had a complaint from the other side about sound quality . It's also a great feature while waiting for a customer service call to go through , so you can wash dishes , clean the room , etc with free hands , and can turn the volume up so you can still hear if someone picks up . We mainly use them inside a 900 sq ft apt so I can't really speak to the range , but they obviously work great in my apt . I don't know what it would be like if you took it 500 feet from the hub .
    • 035 4  This phone is exactly what I needed ! The flexibility to put a phone in any room of my house without the need for a phone jack . I've used other expansion type phones in the past , but some of them had problems with funcationality . I won't go into the details , but suffice to say that I have had ZERO problems or disappointments with this ( these ) phones . Perfect clarity , great speakerphone capabilities , easy wall mounting , no interference ( I run a LOT of wireless electronics in my house ) , great intercom features , excellent answering system , I could not design a better unit . Well worth the money ! I could not be happier with these phones !
    • 109 4  Yeah , sometimes save some cash and get a 30 dollar or less handset . But when you want everything to be fashionable - meaning not bulky and hard to view - - and when you want a decent keypad you always return to Panasonic . They know how to make phones and keep the price low - price IS important because these things are made offshore with parts designed to give out at a miraculous two years . So , trade up from that throw away you've been using , and get styling , low price and good quality with this Panasonic unit .
    • 124 4  I bought this for my 82 year old mom . Her current answering system does not make an audible sound when a message has been received . She's always forgetting to check the phone to see if there are any calls . So we bought this one for her because it states it has a Light-up Indicator with Ringer / Message Alert . Since I couldn't find how to engage it when we received the unit , I called Panasonic customer service . The lady informed me that this unit does not have that feature . I tried to explain to her that the box clearly says it has a Ringer / Message Alert . She says the alert isn't audible . So if you've ever wondered . . . . ringers are silent . And you won't convince them otherwise .
    • 141 4  I had done the research and am very happy with our phones . Everything as described and promised . The one thing missing is the lighted keypad , which I knew about , and the only other problem I've had is confusing it with our TV remote , as it is nearly the same size and shape - the handsets are even smaller - very slim and sleek . We're happy with our choice , and our ( techno-savvy ) grown kids may be ordering the same model after seeing ours .

  • 184 4  This phone is great . It has a speaker phone , different ring tones and the message indicator light blinks so you know you have a message . Phone is very good looking and sound quality is great . Can't beat it for the price . I didn't buy any additional units yet , but I will later on . Great phone !
    • 044 4  I bought this as a replacement for a Phillips Dect phone that I bought without realizing it had no headset jack . The Panasonic has some nice features , but the battery life and range on the handset are worse than the Phillips .
    • 120 4  Have had this phone for a month now . No problems . Sound quality is great . The phone is nice and light . The answerer works good and is easy to use . I don't think there is a perfect cordless phone , but this one is pretty good so far .
    • 145 4  I bought it some time ago , maybe over a year ago or so . It works well . No suprises . It simply does what it is supposed to do and sometimes that enough to make me happy .

  • 195 4  We have been using this phone set now for over 2 years . Great reception even outside . No interference with wireless devices , and never a problem with holding a charge . Better than the last 2 - 3 phone sets we have had .
    • 175 4  Great clarity and I love that it has a place for an earpiece and that it has a belt clip .
    • 182 4  These phones are a snap to set up and very easy to use . Great deal for the money .

  • 200 4  My husband and I decided to purchase new cordless phones for our house . Our old phones were okay and lasted us for about 5 years . However , we didn't have the range we really wanted . We couldn't go outside on our deck without cutting off our calls . We tested our new Panasonic KX-TG1032S phones right away and were AMAZED at how far away we could talk . I went out on the deck and no problem , so then I went around to the side of the house where we put in a beautiful patio ( thinking for sure it will disconnect ) - - guess what - - the call was still great . So now for the big , big test - - our cave ( the basement ) . I took the phone to the laundry room downstairs and you guessed it , it still worked . We are very happy with these phones . We've had them now for a month or so and are pleased with the sound quality and range . These phones are also very easy to use .
    • 032 4  Since I live in a very tiny house , I thought I didn't really need two handsets , but it's actually been quite nice to have two . Unlike some other reviewers , I didn't have any trouble with the wall mount ( it isn't very attractive , however ) . When I read other reviewers ' comments that they wished the handset buttons were lighted , I didn't give it much thought , but actually it really matters , and that's why I didn't give the phone the fifth star . I hadn't realized how many phone calls I make in the dark . Most importantly , though , the reception is good . I can vist my brother at his nearby house and still get my phone calls .
    • 054 4  Love this wireless set ! When my 15 year old Panasonic land-line answering machine died , I read the other reviews and tried this . Wonderful product ! ! Everything is so easy to use-you don't need to keep looking up how to do it in the manual . The answering machine takes up SO much less room on the night stand than the old land line . Easy to use the intercom between rooms . I love the reception and voice quality . Nice key pad . Also , when someone leaves a message on the digital answering machine you can hear the message in any room you have a phone . I started with the 2 phone set , but quickly ordered an additional phone and charger for my small condo . Can't recommend it enough .
    • 088 4  I spend a good bit of time on conference calls , and wanted a speaker phone to use at home . My mom purchased a set of these for me , and it has been great . I received my phones in May 2009 . The longest conference call I have been on was 6 hours , and the battery never ran out . The audio quality is really good . I can fold laundry or put on my makeup and talk at the same time , and the background noise from my activities doesn't seem to be picked up on the call , even when I forget to use the mute button . When my cats meow , the phone picks up that noise , but a light background noise doesn't seem to be transmitted . I have not noticed the volume changes that some other people have mentioned . Perhaps that problem has been resolved in the current version of the product .
    • 162 4  Thought it would be a challenge to find a new phone ( s ) that my 80 ' s mom wouldn't have trouble using . No problems with these . Numbers & buttons are large enough and the phones are a perfect size and weight . Super easy volume adjustment too . I keyed in all her favorite phone numbers ( even the long overseas numbers ) and my mom uses this feature most of all . We have these phones at home as well . Have tried many other brands but none have measured up to Panasonic in quality , reliability , ease of use and price . ( Amazon's price & free shipping couldn't be beat . )

  • Easy to set up . You get 2 phones with 1 phone jack . Speakers are great ! ( unlike with my old phone people don't complain when I use them ) . You can hear answering machines messages from either remote set . Phonebook sharing . You can conference between phones and call each other ( big hit with my kids ) . Cons : 1 . There is something wrong with the volume ( I read complains about it in reviews in Circuit city and thought maybe person had hearing problem . . . but no , they were right ) . Let me explain : the volume goes up and down by itself for no good reason . One phone call you hear great and next one is really low so you need to adjust volume and it goes up and then down on its own again - sometimes during the same call while you are talking - . . . . You can live with it , you adjust volume but I don't particularly like playing with volume every other call ! For me it is really a pain ! 2 . Answering machine base don't display the number of messages you have ( it has no lcd screen ! ) . No talking id or any other fancy stuff either . 3 . When you play messages from answering machine the sound is a little boxy , robot like . . . not clear . This does not happen if you hear messages from the phones themselves . In conclusion I would say this is an all right phone , I expected better . . . but it is also not very expensive and it has the latest technology . I guess now I know why some 5.8 panasonic phones ( previous technology ) were more expensive than this one . . . you get what you pay .
    • 001 4  I got this phone about a week ago in order to replace a 2.4 panasonic that died - some numbers were not dialing and finally battery hookup broke off - In general I like the phone but it has some major things I don't like . Pros : Easy to set up . • 011 4  You always research everything to death before you buy it , right ? I did ! And then I settled on this phone . It has a very clear sound . Great speaker phone . Great answering machine . Very light in the hand and comfortable to use . It does however interfere with my wireless network , so I had to use a filter which took care of the problem 100% . Now , ask yourself , what else should the house phone do ? Nothing , eh ? So , buy it . You won't regret it .
    • 012 4  I bought this phone as V-Tech phone didn't work out . Actually this was my 3rd choice after Uniden . I thought the phone was ugly and really didn't like the orange backlight ( I hate orange ) ; but the looks has grown on me . This phone stays charged up for the 7 - 10 days they said it would , range is great as I used it 4 houses down the street with no lost in sound quality . Copying of phonebook from one phone to another is easy , and you can get your messages from the handset . Also you can make changes to the handset and it will change the other handset as well . I also like the ringtone choices . I think this will be a great phone for the years to come , My girlfriend went and bought one herself .
    • 017 4  I live in a basement apartment and my last cordless phone got very poor reception . People kept telling me to get a new phone . After hearing about the DECT technology and checking reviews , I decided to go with this system with the answering machine . I am VERY pleased with this phone system . The people who used to complain about how bad my phone was say the sound quality is MUCH better in this unit . I have found the battery life to be much longer than my last cordless phone also . Even though I did not think I really needed extra handsets , I decided to purchase this system with one extra , and it has been great . The base unit of the extra handset only needs to plug into a wall outlet , not a phone jack , so you can use the extra handset anywhere you have an outlet . I also love that there is a nice choice of ringtones . I no longer have that shrill ringing . My phones play a melody instead of ringing . The volume on the answering machine is not the loudest , but you can listen to messages easily through the handset at a higher volume . And it would be nice to know how many messages there are , rather than just the blinking light alerting you that there is a message ( or several ) . But those are pretty minor things . All in all , I would highly recommend this product for call clarity , battery life , and value .
    • 020 4  The Panny KX-TG1032S come as a two-phone system with a base and charger for each . I didn't really want two phones , but it is handy to have them in two different locations and I am glad I have two now . 6.0 technology is supposed to be better , but frankly I had no problem with my old phone with 2 . something tech . The sound is clear , the buttons are big and have a good positive click , the scrolling for the phone list is nice and it is not too hard to get the two phones to share the information once you figure out the arse-backward directions for doing so . The answering machine function works fine . I can walk far from the house and still get reception so you can expect to get your calls if you go out to the garden or garage . There is no interference with a wireless internet device like Airport . Style-wise , this is no iPhone . Still , it does have that techy silver color and is not hideous . I thought the price was fair . I took off a star cause although I understand how to set digital devices , I much prefer the analogue approach over enters and modes and all that . All told , this is a good solution for most any land-line need .
    • 023 4  I was a little skeptical that DECT was going to superior to my previous 5.8Ghz phone . Could the talk time really be 17 hours ? The answer is likely . I haven't even been able to get 1 less bar on the battery indicator . I work from home and am on conference calls nearly all day . This can be more than 10 hours ( my work day is all the time ) . My old phone got about 4 hours of talk time before I had to switch to VOIP or cell . With the DECT , I have no complaints . Sound quality is comparable to 5.8Ghz phones . Battery time is much , much better . The only suggestion I would have is to include additional features on the base unit such as speakerphone for convenience .
    • 029 4  I have used many cordless phones before , but this is the best . The range is great , remember , without any interference . Very ergonomic , and ofcourse its a Panasonic . I have not tested the battery life ( they claim 15 - 17 hours ) but its cool . ~ Rishi
    • 031 4  Well I cannot say I am complaining . It is nice to have two handsets instead of one . There are four things I would change about this phone : 1 . I would allow the second base to have a pager button . Often times we can find neither handset , and I rather dislike having to go all the way downstairs in order to page the phones . 2 . I would have a lighted keypad for better functionality in the dark . 3 . I would allow for the time to be displayed even if there is a message . Too often there is a Mew Message sign on the screen when all I want to find out is the time . ( I am not a big user of answering machines at all although I do appreciate them . ) 4 . I would have even more ring tones available ( trivial ) . A word about claims : - - Battery life does seem to be very long , although I never really timed it . I am also comparing it to the phones that we have had previously . Those had proprietary batteries that couldn't hold a charge after two years . - - Range is superb as is sound quality . This thing works three to four houses down the street ( although that drains the battery somewhat ) . I tried it . - - No interference with Wireless-G . I am not sure you can do much better than this for phones . Why would you buy another ?
    • 034 4  I purchased this Panasonic after reading the reviews on Amazon and the overall high rating . Used this phone for about a week , before returning it . I will review both the product , and Amazon's return process , since it was my first time in last 5 years , when I started using Amazon . Panasonic Dect 6.0 Phone : Pros : - Good , stylish looks . - Handset is designed & contoured for comfortable grip for longer time . It is good for those who do long tele-conversations . - Lot of options to configure and address book and voice mail . - Decent battery life for handsets . Never had any issues with that . Cons : - Only issue I had was the poor voice quality . We compared this phone with the regular phone , which came with the service and the other one was much better . It could be an issue with that specific piece we got . So , I returned it to Amazon . Amazon Returns Process : - Very easy and customer-friendly . - Everything is online . No need to call them . Just go to your order and click on Refund an Item . - Once you finish the process , it generates a return slip and a USPS mailing label . - All you have to do is put the product back in a box ( it helps if you saved the original shipping box ) with the slip , glue the mailing label , and either schedule a pickup , drop it outside your door for mailman to pickup or drop it in the nearest post office . - Once Amazon receives it back , they will refund your money including the shipping , taxes etc .
    • 040 4  I bought this phone because it was recommended by Consumer Reports and I wanted the answering machine with ability for caller id . The sound kept lowering while I talked . I would click it up to the highest volume . which was still too low . I tried it in different rooms , just to be sure that wasn't the problem . After calling customer service , I mailed it for repair , costing me $10 . I was shocked , they do not send back a new phone set , but a refurbished handset ! Guess what ? the refurbished phone still has sound problems . I guess I am out of luck . I don't want to keep sending it back for refurbishing at $10 a pop .
    • 050 4  I shopped for cordless phones for a while . I got these because I was tired of hearing static on my old cordless phones ( which weren't that old ! ) . I've been using the Panasonic Dect . 6.0 for about 5 weeks now , and have no problems with static or being around my computer or appliances while on the phone . . . . Very satisfied with them . The only drawback was that the instruction manual does not give very good instructions on how to use the phone ; things like how to delete ALL saved messages , or delete ALL saved calls , etc . . . well , you just have to spend time clicking through menus and sort of stumble upon those things . There are no short-cut buttons or keys to do that . But that is the only thing I wasn't happy with , and I consider that a minor thing .
    • 064 4  You will probably miss calls if you are in another room when this phone rings ! Even when set to maximum volume the ringer loudness is way too low . We tried all available tones with little success . This annoyance more than off-sets all the otherwise fine features of this phone system .
    • 079 4  They really have thought of everything , including the ability to check your messages on the handset itself ( you don't have to be at the base to listen to them ) . Zero static , no interference from my WiFi and the battery time is also impressive . I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone looking for any type of cordless phone .
    • 080 4  + Setup was simple - easy to follow instruction booklet + Charge time - stays charged for days off base + Sound quality - excellent , very clear + Ring tone selection - many to choose from + Buttons - large , easy to see and push - No Do not disturb mode - if this phone has this feature , I have not found it but my last phone had a button on the base to push where the phones would not ring and the answering machine would not be audible when picking up , the phone and base would only light up to signal a call coming in ( so not to disturb a napping baby ! ) . . . I desperately miss this feature ! ! ! = Overall , I like this phone very much and even purchased one for my parents recently . I'm still coming to terms with not having the do not disturb feature but I'm still happy with the phones .
    • 090 4  I had a Uniden phone before and ppl were constantly complaining they could not hear us . Panasonic is way better than Uniden Pros Interface for panasonic is always better Ringtones are great Comes with speaker on handsets In built answeing machine Big Keys on the pad cons Phone menu is not always intuitive Have been using this phone for 6 months ; very satisfied so far .
    • 092 4  The functionality of the phone and answering machine are first rate with no complaints , the usable range of the hand sets is a bit disappointing , I would say you start to loose signal at about 65 feet with three interior walls . I have a much older Panasonic answering machine with remote hand sets that has external antenna's and those have an outstanding range , I can talk on the phone inside a metal barn about 200 ' from the base unit that is inside a house with one of those older hand sets .
    • 095 4  I wanted to replace our old cordless phone with another ONE , but mistakingly bought an accessory handset for this system , so I ended up buying two more handsets ! ( the base system comes with at least one extra handset ) . It was a very nice accident , the system is working very well and it's unexpectedly usefull to have three phones at home , using only one phone jack ! After one week of use I can say : - All was very easy to set up . - Buttons are big and comfortable . - Sound is clear in all handsets and up till now I have had no interferences . - Answering machine works ok although not having an LCD screen . - I haven't noticed any issues with the volume ( I've read about volume variations from call to call in other reviews ) . The only disadvantage I could mention has to do with the ringing tones . I don't like most of them . All in all : Very good purchase .
    • 098 4  Phone's are great - no interference with all the electronics in our house ( 2 baby monitors , rf remote , wireless internet ) Battery life is not that great , but everything else is great .
    • 112 4  I am very happy with this product . It is easy to use . The clarity of the voicemail message is terrific and is the reason I went for it . There are many nice features . My only peeve is that the wall mount feature is not acceptable . It mounts in such a way that its like a ledge with the phone protruding from the wall and easily knocked off its base . The base now sits on my kitchen counter with the phone jack and wire visible . A flush mount would be much more attractive
    • 119 4  This is a wonderful phone . Easy to read number keys and great reception . If you need a phone , this may be the one you are looking for . Go for it .
    • 122 4  I bought this two phone set for my home after I had bought a three phone set for my office . My needs are not great for my office or my home , but this set should fill the needs of just about anyone who wants a reliable , convenient , easy to use telephone . The answering machine works great and its very easy to insert your own personalized message . It detects and transfers fax calls without any additional set-up and in our large office building reception and voice clarity are perfect no matter how far away from the base . All in all , for my money , ( great prices too ! ) this is the perfect phone for home or office .
    • 129 4  The product was delivered when promised . It performs as expected with no problems . The display is somewhat dim but readable . It takes very little space . The ability to copy the address book from one handset to another is very useful and saves time . This is a good value and I would buy it again .
    • 143 4  I did lots of research on phones because we've had terrible luck lately in this department . These phones were rated very highly so I bit the bullet and purchased them when they went on sale . They work for a couple of months but the handsets eventually stop connecting to the base . And when they do connect , they cut in a out to where the person on the other end can't understand what you are saying . I just want a decent phone that works , but this is not it .
    • 150 4  My last set of Panasonic phones are still going strong at a friend's house . I thought they were good until I bought these ( and a 3rd handset ) . These Dect 6.0 phones are great . The range is awesome , battery life is awesome , and clarity is awesome . I use speaker phone 100% of the time , and the sound quality is excellent . People who I speak with have no clue I am using speaker phone . Tip : if you want to use a headset with these phones , use a Panasonic headset . For some reason all other headsets I've tried are very low volume .
    • 152 4  Great Phone . I bought it one year back . I am extremely happy with the performance . No wireless router interference , intercom works very well , great speakerphone , clip to hang it on your belt while using hands free feature , built in answering machine ( which could be operated from another phone also ) , good phonebook which can be replicated from one phone to another etc etc . This phone's range is so good that we give to our kids when they are playing in neighbours house . I would highly recommend this phone
    • 155 4  I liked this phone and was encouraged by all the positive reviews . This prompted me to purchase this phone . Now that I had a chance to use it , I find things wrong with it that would have changed my mind and I would never had purchased this phone . 1 ) All incoming calls have the long distance prefix 1 - and since most of my calls are local ; I have to go through a menu system on each number and edit it to remove the 1 - There is no way to turn this off nor is the phone smart enough to not place a one on local calls . 2 ) The menu system is awkward to use . 3 ) No real manual to use .
    • 168 4  I bought this set to replace a cheap , crappy Uniden that I had purchased less than 6 months earlier . MUCH better . If , like me , you are the sort of person who finds ringing phones extremely jarring , then this set is a great option . I really enjoy the gentler selection of melodic ring tones - - wish there were a few more , though it's fun to use the holiday ring tones . My kids think it's hilarious when someone calls us and the phone plays Jingle Bells ! Excellent sound quality and range . Not at all tinny sounding . Easy to read screen , too . I also appreciate the small footprint of the base ( even the main base . ) Truth be told , I have not utilized the answering machine feature ( it's a voice mail world out there , ) but it's nice to know it's there just in case . Finally , the speakerphone option on both handsets is really handy and user friendly . A great purchase .
    • 169 4  The phone has every feature I need at a fair price : 1 . Handsets are comfortable to hold 2 . The keypad is large , numbers easy to read and push . 3 . It doesn't interfere with my wireless router . 4 . Talk time is outstanding . 5 . The features are easy to activate - no lengthy menus here . This is a product that actually lives up to its description . Thank you , Panasonic .
    • 173 4  Our Uniden telephone gave up after several years of use , so the next thing I did is to go to my second bible Consumers Reports magazine . One of the best buys recommended by them was the Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series Dual Handset Cordless Phone System with answering service . I bought it from Amazon and at an exceptional price + no shipping fee and no sales tax . . . . . ! ! ! ! This set of telephones are the best I ever had and at a great price .
    • 185 4  This is a compact cordless phone and answering machine . Sound clarity is good . The second handset is very useful , it gives you a phone in a room that may not have a phone jack . ( The manual says you can buy several more handset and expand the phone system to 4 handsets ) . There are some nice features like creating frequently called numbers on one handset and propagating it to all handsets . The price for the features is very good . The number of messages stored on the answering machine is not displayed ; This is the only reason I did not give this phone 5 stars .
    • 189 4  I have been looking for a good digital set for some time now . After much research and stuff I first went with phillips 450 which had all the stuff I needed like 100 Name in each phone book , hand set speaker and design was great with the price was lowest but the batter wouldn't last long and I returned it . Next I bought GE google one which also was pretty good but can't access the phone book while doing 3 way and also would lock up and had to unplug to get it fix every time it did it , so returned it . Now I bought the Panasonic sets . Pros : 1 . so many review means a lot of people have bought them . . . 2 . Hand sets comes with speaker and clips 3 . Battery life is supper . 4 . can access the phone book while trying to do 3 way call . 5 . Ring tones r very nice . my 3 year old starts dancing every time i get a call now . 6 . no interruption . My home is full of blue tuth , wireless stuff and no problem talking . . . 7 . can ctrl normall volume and speaker volume 8 . Buttons r big and voice message light indicator ( and it works for vonage voice messages which r not stored in the machine ) Cons . 1 . Volume is too low . Even though i have no problem hearing ( though both my other sets had louder volume than this ) , my wife has complained about it and she uses the speaker system when she talks so its not that bad . but we talk with people out side USA all the time , so some times it seems that sound is not clear but its actually that sound is delayed . . . 2 . very light made . i have a GE $15 cordless which was dropped 20 + time and still works but I feel like if i drop them they will break . 3 . buttons doesn't light up . 4 . Wall mount came for the main set but not for the small one . so putting up the main one with wires on the wall doesn't make sense to me . I wish the small base would ahve come with one so that I can put it up in the kichen . . . Over all i am very happy with both the sets . I don't use the message system so can't say whether its good or bad .

  • Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Many years ago - - over a decade ago in fact - - I purchased a Sony SPP-AQ25 cordless phone & answering system . This was before the 900 MHz phones , and it has a big long antenna sticking out the top of it . It broadcasts and receives at 44 / 48 MHz and the sound quality is virtually indistinguishable from a corded phone . I'm not exaggerating . And the range is incredible . 100 feet or more , although out that far the sound quality deteriorates . The answer system uses a tape for recording messages but has a digitally recorded greeting . I paid $120 for it back then in 1998 or so . The handset is large and easy to hold , but light , and the buttons are very large and easy to activate , and the action and accompanying sound when depressed is also excellent . Why do I mention this ? Well , for a long time now I have been worrying : what will I do when my Sony SPP-AQ25 dies ? What could possibly replace it ? I've purchased two or three cordless phones for my parents and in-laws over the last five or so years , and have never been happy with the phones . They all fell far , far short of my own . They had poor sound quality , poor range , were small and difficult to use , and were just plain cheap . Well , a year or so ago , I looked into the issue more thoroughly , hoping to find a replacement before it was needed , and to my relief I discovered the Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones . I liked the KX-TG8232 best of the Panasonic line , but when I tried out the handsets in person at Target , I wasn't entirely pleased with how they felt , with their ergonomics . I also thought the color LCD was maybe unnecessary . So , I kept on using my decade old Sony , although I kept the 8232 in mind . Then , a month or so ago the answering machine part of my Sony phone died . The motor ( or belt ) that drove the tape would no longer actually drive it , and so no message would get recorded . I proceeded directly to Amazon to order the 8232 , but found that it was only available via a market place seller . This gave me pause and made me wonder what newer Panasonic model had replaced it , which led me to this very phone system here : the KX-TG1032S . So , hoping for the best , I ordered it . Well , let me tell you , I am very glad I did , and that I got this system instead of the 8232 , because the handset ergonomics are excellent . This phone feels great in the hand , and the menu is navigated via a wheel / button instead of a joystick type stub . The buttons are large and easy to use , and the display , while not color , is also clear , uncluttered , and easy to read . When you pick the handset up off the base , a backlight turns on for ease of reading , but when the handset is just sitting on the base , the backlight is turned off and in dim light , is definitely hard to read . This is easily remedied by just picking the phone up , of course . The handset has a subtle curve to its side profile : it isn't flat-faced . And this is part of its nice feel . The back is nicely bellied out , too , which fills the hand better and makes for a good grip . The plastic feels good , for plastic , too . More importantly , this thing can get LOUD if you want it to : both the speaker phone and the regular ear speaker will go up louder than you would probably ever want them to . The speaker phone works exceptionally well , too - - the people on the other end of the line might not even know you switched over to speaker phone , in fact . Very impressive . And the range is very good . The talk time , too , is better than you'll probably ever need . Even after talking on the phone for over an hour , the battery still indicated full . So , while I haven't yet tested the 17 hour claim , it doesn't seem unlikely . However , some reviews have mentioned a problem with talk time / batteries , and this doesn't surprise me . You see , almost without exception , the rechargeable batteries used in things like cordless phones are junk . They are cheap and low quality . In this case , the batteries are probably a bit better than that , but I would suggest that you preemptively purchase truly high-quality batteries to go in your handsets ( you need two per handset ) . I highly recommend the Sanyo Eneloop 4 Pack AAA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries . And they have higher capacity than the batteries provided with the phone , too . However , you are unlikely to have a problem with the batteries provided ! The charging system in the handset bases is quite intelligent , and will terminate charge once the batteries are full . I checked the temperature of both the provided and the Sanyo Eneloop cells immediately after charge , and they were only mildly warm . If you remove the handset and then immediately replace it , the system will still know that the batteries are fully charged and will not initiate a new charging cycle . Even if you actually use the phone for a minute or so and then place it back on the base , it will still not initiate a new charging cycle . You have to use the handset for a full four or five minutes before the charging circuitry will decide to recharge the batteries . And once again , when it does this , it doesn't overcharge or overheat them . Very nice . The biggest reason why NiCd and NiMH batteries are destroyed is constant overcharging , and this has been totally eliminated here . Also , as mentioned , the fact that these phones use standard NiMH AAA batteries is a very nice feature . When and if you need to replace them , you don't need to pay highway robbery prices for a special battery pack . The sound quality of this phone system is very good . The best I've heard apart from my Sony . ( Yes , believe it or not , it's just not quite as good as my 11 year old Sony . But . . . it's still quite good . ) And , you have the advantage of digital spread spectrum with this phone , on a frequency that will not interfere with anything else . Not only is it a lot more secure than my old phone , but two other people can get on the line with you , on the other handsets . We bought this two handset version , so I can't personally verify that three handsets can all be active at once , but I'm sure this claim is true . Anyway , this feature isn't just enabled when someone is talking to an outside caller . No . You can intercom between handsets any time you want . Just pick up your handset , press the intercom button in the lower right , and select the assigned number of the other handset , and it rings . When the other person picks up and presses talk , you are on the line with them . This feature is actually so useful that it's almost too useful - - my wife is taking full advantage of it to ask me to bring such and such upstairs when I come up ( or downstairs when I come down ) or to ask me about something , and etc . It's very very useful . I have on occasion noticed that I need to adjust the ear-speaker volume when making or receiving a new call , even though the volume level had previously been just right . But , it doesn't happen often , and it's really no big deal . Too loud ? Just push the menu button up arrow . Too soft , just push the down . Just one adjustment has always brought things back into the right range for me . And , yes , if you want a phone handset with an easy to turn off and on ringer , this is not it . To turn the ringer off , you essentially have to turn the volume all the way down . It's just not set up for doing this easily , although it can be done . The answering system is fine , although the sound quality of the recorded messages isn't great . However , when someone is leaving a message , you can hear it on all the handsets , which is a nice feature if you screen your calls and are away from the base station . And , while the blinking red light to indicate a new message is only on the base station , each handset will say new message on the LCD screen when there is a new message , so I don't see what the big deal is here . Besides , in our case , the phone base station is by the door , so that's the only place we really need the red blinking LED . When you we get back home , we give the base station a quick glance . Seems straightforward and logical to me . Oh , and I mounted the base station to the wall , and it worked just fine . I'm sure it's not hard to break the plastic mounting piece which allows you to mount the base station to the wall , but it didn't seem flimsy or cheap to me . It's plastic , sure , but what do you want ? All in all , this is a five star product in my opinion . I would go for 4.5 stars or 4.75 stars if that were an option , but have rounded up to five . The only slight issue with this phone , in my opinion , is the difficulty in turning off the ringer of a handset . So if you need to do that on a regular basis , this would be a four star cordless phone system . Otherwise , it's a five star . Highly recommended . * EDIT * OK . I have had some noise / interference type issues - - or at least that's what they sound like - - but when I switched over to a VoIP setup , this problem pretty much went away . So , there was this subtle , but definite , background digital noise in this phone that was better on some days , some calls , and worse on others . At first I didn't notice this much , and when I did , I figured it was due to the other persons phone . Then , I figured it was possibly noise on our line that this new phone is able to pick up due to the spread spectrum encoding or something . So I bought an inline DSL noise filter . No change . I also tried a different telephone socket . I also tried removing the batteries from the handsets and powering down the base station , and then powering everything back up . No joy . However , when I switched over to a VoIP setup ( with the Linksys SPA2102 VoIP box ) this noise problem pretty much went away . I think its a signal-to-noise ratio thing , as the line level out of the 2102 is a lot higher than my plain old telephone line , but the noise seems to be a low-level thing , when it is there at all . So if the signal is weak and you amplify it up , you bring the noise with it . In any case , I am also going to check to see if it is just my set being defective , and will report back . I have some sense it might be this , as one handset is better than the other when it comes to the noise problem . I also have changed the answering machine settings from 3 min messages to 1 min , and hope that this will improve the sound quality of the recorded messages , which are only just passable right now . In any case , while this phone may not be perfect , it's still the best you can get for any reasonable amount of money . If I had money to burn , I might buy the Engenius Long-Range phone set , but $600 is just too much money to spend on a cordless phone ! ! !
    • 005 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) This is now my fourth expandable wireless phone system for my home .
    • 007 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I got this phone system to change a 5.8GHz phone that was causing issues with a 5.8GHz WiFi router and a 2.4GHz WiFi printer . Panasonic DECT 6.0 has a great range with not interference issues with other electronics . I like the compact base , the belt clip and headset jack . Also the buttons have a nice size and the numbers are big compared to other similar units . The battery life is great and voice quality is clear on both ends . This unit is Energy Star compliant , for those of us concerned about the environment . There is a voice mail indicator but no counter . I would have liked a lighted keypad . Be careful not to accidentally erase unplayed messages , since the erase button is close to the play button . Overall it is the best phone system I have seen when it comes to price , features and performance .

    • 010 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) You always research everything to death before you buy it , right ?
    • 014 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I read the reviews for this on Consumer Reports and they raved about it . I'm going to rave a bit less . I've looked at cordless phones for a while and had the growing sense that they're all kind of cheap . This phone hasn't changed that impression by much . The sound quality is okay . Not stellar . Not bad . But I'd give it a B . It just isn't as good as my old cordless that finally died . Also , it's not terribly comfortable on my ear , it's as if the earpiece is too small or something . Again , the old phone was more comfy . I suspect they made this smaller to look cooler and sleeker . I don't need cool and sleak , I need a cordless that works well and feels good . So , in retrospect , would I buy this again ? No . Yes it works , and yes it's not terribly expensive . I haven't had any other problems with it , but hey , if the sound isn't perfect and it doesn't feel 100% great on my ear , then those are big negatives in my book for a phone . So I can live with this phone fine - but love it ? Not so much .
    • 018 4  This system is quite good . We had a vtech dual handset system 5.8 Ghz before , and it was heavier , bulkier , and far less coverage than these Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones . Pros : Light , nice phones . Use normal NiMH AAA bateries , and got really good autonomy . Distance is fine for a home with garden and back : we have a barbecue on the back , at the end , and this phone perfectly covers that area , across several walls , and a distance of 30 meters or so . Sound is OK , speakerphone is OK , ringtones are OK * polyphonic , nice music , and standard beeps , including also one ringing tone that seems to be like a bell doing two tones , which I Found ideal as it is a more natural , undisturbing sound if you are sleeping * I mean , it wakes you up , but not with the damned phone ringer sensation * Cons : Only one : It has a clock , and an alarm wake up system . Maybe Panasonic could have extended the firmware code in order to also let you program ringer profile for diferent time slots . Anyway , this is maybe too excquisite to ask , I know . Remember that you can keep buying more phones , up to 6 ! nice upgrade path . Inexpensive phones .
    • 019 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) The Panny KX-TG1032S come as a two-phone system with a base and charger for each .

    • 022 4  Many years ago - - over a decade ago in fact - - I purchased a Sony SPP-AQ25 cordless phone & answering system . • 024 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Pros : the clarity is excellent and when on speaker phone , the person to whom you are talking isn't aware of it because it's doesn't echo like other phones . I like the size and weight and the musical choices for ring tones . I got the model with the extra handset and that is nice . You can page the other phone to alert a person outside that they have a call instead of yelling out the window ! I like the answering machine . . but . . a voice says thank you for calling after the call has ended and the caller has already hung up . What's up with that ? Cons : The keypad has no back light so it's hard to make calls in the dark unless you memorize the keypad . The wall adapter is a laugh . It snapped when I attempted to hang the phone . I called Panasonic and they only wanted 1.89 to replace it . . BUT . . with shipping it was 7.00 and change . That is laughable since the adapter is cheap plastic . I faxed proof of purchase and they agreed to send at no charge . . BUT . . the item is back ordered . I WONDER WHY ! ! I would imagine that everyone who has purchased this has had the same problem with the ' hanger ' . Having said all of that , I still rate this product a 4 because I would buy it again . They really do need to add a lighted keypad though . Even the cheapest of cheap phones offer that as a feature .
    • 033 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I purchased this Panasonic after reading the reviews on Amazon and the overall high rating .
    • 036 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) This phone is a joke . The handset in our office , regardless of whether the base is in another room , or in the office , rarely works . We always get the message that it is too far from the base . Odd , because our 14 - year-old Panasonic cordless works in our office while the base is in the kitchen , in fact , it works in every room in the house , and outdoors as well . We're planning on returning this phone and buying another because we need a phone in our office . Had we known what we know now , we NEVER would have purchased it . We have had the phone since last December - - about 6 months . Do yourself a favor and don't buy this telephone .
    • 041 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Excellent phone system .
    • 046 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I thought this phone would have better range based on the reviews but the minority expressing its poor range was right .
    • 049 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I shopped for cordless phones for a while .
    • 053 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Love this wireless set !
    • 055 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I've owned lots of cordless phones in the past , and these are the absolute best . 1 ) Ability to listen to messages on any handset is great 2 ) Speakerphone on every handset 3 ) Simple and small answering machine 4 ) Great audio quality , no interference or static 5 ) Uses standard rechargable AA batteries
    • 058 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) The Panasonic KX-TG1032S cordless telephone delivered on all the advertised promises .
    • 061 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) After hooking them up to charge , one phone was getting real hot while on the cradle . It fully charged up & then it would not work at all . I re-inserted the batteries & the phone started working again but then the ringer stuck when someone called us on this one phone only . I sent them back & we got the Panasonic Dect black phones with the answering machine & the colorful view screen . At least they work !
    • 070 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I'd recommend this product in a minute . The reception is very clear and the volume can be adjusted from soft to very loud . The setup was a breeze and the fact that the answering machine can be operated from the handsets is a great feature . The only gripe I have is that the phone menu is awkward to navigate with the circular pad .
    • 072 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) For the money , this one's hard to beat , but unlike my last cordless phone , this one does not have a lighted key pad .
    • 075 4  I bought this phone to replace a Philips CD4402B / 37 DECT 6.0 which I returned after 2 days due to it's poor performance with Vonage and its poor Batery life . The Panasonic Dect6.0 is not as nice as the Philips , but it does the job well . Battery life is brilliant , I work from home and usually have conference calls for hours . . . the phone can last more than 4 - 5 hours on speakerphone and still have power to keep going without recharging . Sound quality is great and there is no problem with other wireless devices . I still have an issue with Vonage , but I discover it has to do with the router I am using . For those with I.P phones , it may give you a false new voice mail message for days whenever the IP address changes . I still dont know how to fix this . Again , great device for the price
    • 082 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) This phone is good , but not great .
    • 084 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Great product , for a great price , with one significant drawback .
    • 086 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I bought this phone for the home for Christmas and we love it . For us old folk , its easy to see the numbers and what is viewed on the screen . My wife likes the intercom . She doesn't have to scream from one end of the house to tell me its for me . Just touch the intercom and transfer . It works like a charm and we have 2 of them . You'll love this phone system . It beats the 2 cans and string we had before .

Panasonic is way better than Uniden Pros Interface for panasonic is always better Ringtones are great Comes with speaker on handsets In built answeing machine Big Keys on the pad cons Phone menu is not always intuitive Have been using this phone for 6 months ; very satisfied so far .
    • 091 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) The functionality of the phone and answering machine are first rate with no complaints , the usable range of the hand sets is a bit disappointing , I would say you start to loose signal at about 65 feet with three interior walls . I have a much older Panasonic answering machine with remote hand sets that has external antenna's and those have an outstanding range , I can talk on the phone inside a metal barn about 200 ' from the base unit that is inside a house with one of those older hand sets .
    • 100 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Works better than our previous V-Tech , is lighter , more solid , easier to program , well lit , and has a SpeakerPhone which is a rare feature for a phone set that is this inexpensive . We are pleased with our purchase and highly recommend this phone set . Oh , and it takes AAA batteries instead of those awkward battery packs .
    • 113 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Panasonic KX-TG1032S Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System with 2 Handsets Simply works great for my family . I now have the extension plugged into a wall plug in living room and do not have to leave my chair to answer calls . I also like the ability to set to no ring and also to set for speaking upon lifting from cradle . The ability to set both phonebooks from one instrument is great feature . The only problem I had with phone was listening volumn decreased the longer I talked to caller . However , when that happened I simply set to speakerphone and all was well . I would'nt trade for another system . I also just use the built-in voice for my answering system . It says enough for me - why mess with a good thing .

    • 121 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I bought this two phone set for my home after I had bought a three phone set for my office .
    • 123 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I bought this for my 82 year old mom .

This cordless phone has fully met my wife's expectations - good clear sound quality - without all the line interference . Thank you for helping to meet the sound quality requirements of my family .
    • 128 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) The product was delivered when promised . It performs as expected with no problems . The display is somewhat dim but readable . It takes very little space . The ability to copy the address book from one handset to another is very useful and saves time . This is a good value and I would buy it again .
    • 130 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) The dual phone system , has clear audio , easy to use and I am glad I purchased . I researched and researched for months before purchasing . The only part that I don't like regarding these phones , is that on the base you cannot mute the answering machine . You can turn it down , but not off . Just a quirky part of the phone .
    • 132 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) This phone set is just magnificient .
    • 134 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I purchased a factory-refurbished set , so got a really good deal . I have been totally satisfied with the functionality and quality of this phone . The only thing I can think of that annoys me , is unlike my last phone with caller id , it records every separate call from the same number , so there's more to erase . ( My last phone would only store one entry in the caller id list for each unique calling number - - with a count of the number of times and the time of last call . )

The land line is not dead , not many choices ! !
    • 138 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I just bought this phone as a gift based on the great reviews . I am currently returning it due to very poor volume control . During a conversation , the volume starts out normal then minutes later fades out so that you can no longer hear the other person even while increasing the handset volume . Going back to Uniden .
    • 140 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I had done the research and am very happy with our phones .
    • 142 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I did lots of research on phones because we've had terrible luck lately in this department .
    • 144 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I bought it some time ago , maybe over a year ago or so . It works well . No suprises . It simply does what it is supposed to do and sometimes that enough to make me happy .
    • 146 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) We first ordered the KX-TG9332T from amazon and it was awful , constantly telling us to Re-establish Link to Base . This phone , however , seems to work exactly as advertised . I guess that means it should receive top marks . It's just a phone , so I can't rave about it , but call quality , battery life , and ease of use are good . I haven't really tested the range but it works perfectly within the confines of my house .
    • 148 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Our old panasonic was dieing . Guess it was the battery . Cost of this phone not much more than battery . So what we got for the extra money was an additional phone for the living room and a phone which has better clarity . Pretty good deal .
    • 153 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Needed to replace a previous dect phone for my home . Did some research and found out that this model recieved some of the best reviews . Works like a charm . I like the big buttons and feel of the whole phone . Battery life is good . Volume is good . Overall a very good phone .
    • 156 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) The phone reception and the answering machine work great . The controls aren't super easy like some other phones . The biggest pain to me is that you have to push the button twice to get the caller id history to be displayed , which is annoying when I am in a hurry . Overall , the phone is great .
    • 159 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I had a problem with one handset , right out of the box .
    • 167 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I bought this set to replace a cheap , crappy Uniden that I had purchased less than 6 months earlier .

Sound clarity is excellent , the answering device is very easy to use , the speakerphone is great . Absolutely no complaints from this user . It's all we wanted or needed in a cordless phone .
    • 180 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Bought refurbished phone , works fine . Only feature that would make this a five star is that it has no do not disturb feature .
    • 186 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Nice Phone . Smaller then our old one & you may be accidently hitting keys before you get use to it . Very light . I don't understand why on these cordless phones they don't make the ear piece fit your ear better . They are all alike . Except for that its a good phone for the price .
    • 188 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) I have been looking for a good digital set for some time now .
    • 190 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) This cordless phone is quite neat . The sound quality is good and the range is excellent . I like the phonebook setup as you can see the person who is calling although I do not have the call waiting feature available on my service . The answering machine works well also . I would recommend this model telephone to anyone .
    • 198 4  This review is from : Panasonic DECT 6.0 - Series Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System ( KX-TG1032S ) ( Electronics ) Looks good , sounds GREAT , easy set-up , inexpensive AAA rechargeable batteries and with the 1.9 GHz my PC no longer disconnects from my 2.4 GHz wireless modem when I answer the phone ! ! !

  • the clarity is excellent and when on speaker phone , the person to whom you are talking isn't aware of it because it's doesn't echo like other phones .

    • 030 4  There has been lots of praise for this phone . And it's all true . However I'm going to mention two gripes I have . First , do you know how many keystrokes it takes to turn the ringer on the handset to OFF ? TEN ! Yes that's right . If your phone is in your bedroom , and you want to turn the ringer off at night so as not to get a wrong number call in the middle of the night , you need to turn the ringer off . The stupid process is : 1 . Down Arrow 2 . Down Arrow 3 . Down Arrow 4 . Down Arrow 5 . Down Arrow 6 . OK Button 7 . OK Button 8 . OK Button 9 . Up Arrow 10 . OK Button Now the ringer is off , and you can have peace of mind that you will not get disturbed at night . Now the next morning , if you want to turn the ringer on again , you need to press TEN more keystrokes to turn the unit on again . Now do this over and over , every day for the rest of your life . Whatever happened to the ringer on and off switch that phones used to have ? Next , if that same phone is in your room and sitting on the base unit , you will have a nice night light in your room , because the indicator light NEVER turns off as long as the unit is on the base . This can be covered up though with tape . OK , aside from these two points , there are too many pro's about this phone not to keep it , especially when compared to the competition .

  • YOU COULD NOT SHUT THE RINGER OFF ON INDIVIDUAL HANDSET WITHOUT GOING THRU THE WHOLE MENU . ( AND I FOUND THE MENU NOT SO EASY TO NAVIGATE ) . THE WORST PART WAS IN THE ANSWERING MACHINE . I GET A LOT OF SALES CALLS BECAUSE I HAVE A BUSINESS LINE ( HOME BASED ) AND THEY TYPICALLY HANG UP AS SOON AS THE MACHINE ANSWERS . THE 1032S WENT ALL THE WAY THRU THE MESSAGE AND 5 SECONDS OF DIAL TONE AND THEN SAID ' THANKS FOR YOUR CALL ' BEFORE DISCONNECTING . I CALLED AND TECH SUPPORT HAD ME PUSHING ALL KINDS OF BUTTONS WHICH DID NOT FIX IT . ( ALSO , THEIR ANSWERING RIGAMAROLE WAS BAD IN THAT YOU COULDN'T MAKE YOUR CHOICE RIGHT AWAY , YOU HAD TO LISTEN THRU ALL THE CHOICES BEFORE MAKING IT , VERY FRUSTRAING . ) THAT WAS BAD FOR ME IN THAT I COULD MISS BUSINESS CALLS . ( UNFORTUNATELY , A BUSINESS LINE CAN'T GO ON DO NOT CALL WHICH MAKES NO SENSE SINCE OUR TIME IS EVEN MORE VALUABLE ) . I ALREADY HAD AN OLD AT & T ANSWERING MACHINE THAT WORKED WELL SO I TOOK THIS BACK AND GOT THE GE DECT 6 28213 MODEL . WOW , SO MUCH EASIER TO NAVIGATE . HAD A SHORTCUT TO TURN THE RINGER OFF FOR EACH HANDSET AND EVEN HAD FREE GOOGLE 411 .
    • 097 4  I bought this as a phone to use in my home office . I liked the idea of the two handsets and I had planned on putting one out in the garage . The phone works reasonably well . I like the large buttons on the keypad , but some options that I have had on earlier versions of Panasonic phones are mysteriously missing . For example , if you want to clear the display of showing you how many calls you have missed , you have to scroll through EACH CALL to get it ' acknowledged ' . On my other Panasonic cordless , you can simply select MENU / CLEAR ALL and confirm the choice and all the missed calls are gone . Also , the SPEAKER QUALITY is bad on this phone . It is noticeably ' tinny ' and hollow in quality . My other Panasonic phone has a much better quality speaker w / lots more bass available . The person that you are talking to sounds more realistic and you can hear better with the lower tones coming into play - more like natural speach . Other than these , I like the phone fine . Battery life seems to be great !
