Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate, White/Green

  • 009 4  So far , so good . I have only used the iron a few times but it already is superior to the previous iron I paid a lot more for . I had a Rowenta and before that a Rowenta - had trouble with both . Quite happy with this Panasonic .
    • 082 4  As per the specifications . value for money . The best part is the coated metal plate . Quality build , not a cheapo plastic body .

  • 027 4  Iron had clearly been used upon arrival , as evidenced by water still in it ! I thought , well ok , I'll try it anyway . Plugged it in and absolutely nothing . The error is mostly with Amazon for sending me an obviously used and defective product , so I am taking my chances and getting a replacement . Hopefully I will have a better experience with that .

    • 029 4  I am very pleased with my new iron . I previously had a Rowenta , which I purchased about 10 yrs earlier for $85.00 when it started making strange noises and spitting and sputtering I knew it was time for a new one . I really didn't want to spend so much money this time , but I still wanted an excellent product . I searched consumer reports and this one ranked best buy . It pretty much was impossible to find it in the stores except by catalog order . Amazon had the best price , hence it was the logical choice . Now I have a great product for a chore I really , really hate !
      • 105 4  I've only had this iron for about a month or so , but it kicks my old Black and Decker out of the water - - heats up fast , lots of steam , love the retractable cord and on top of that , what a reasonable price ! Very happy with this purchase .
      • 139 4  i cannot make a review on this product as it was completely defective . the water came straight out through the vents at the bottom , and then it stopped turning on . the only positive is the cord retractor , what a great idea .

    • 033 4  I was looking for an iron to replace a Rowenta that I dropped . . . although I was not entirely unhappy that I needed to buy a new iron as the Rowenta was not nearly as good as my prior iron , a Norelco . I read up on the reviews of the Panasonic iron that I am reviewing and given the cost I figured I was not risking much . I have used the iron for a few weeks and at this point I would rate it as good but not great . It produces plenty of steam which I assumed was the key to getting tough wrinkles out of a garment . Unfortunately that is not the case apparently as the Panasonic is no miracle worker as far as removing tough wrinkles . . . again , good but not great at this task . The iron has a nice feel to it and is not light nor heavy . I don't actually know what the key to getting wrinkles out - could it be that the Panny just does not get hot enough to smooth out those stubborn wrinkles ? Over the holidays I was visiting family and they had a Black and Decker iron that did a great job of removing wrinkles. It was an older model but did a really nice job of ironing garments . And as noted above the Norelco I had years ago was a stellar performer , but cost probably at least double what the Panny retails for . Anyway , I'm happy but not thrilled with this product .
      • 011 4  This iron heats up quickly , and I love the retractable cord . Great for someone who doesn't want to pay a lot for an iron , but doesn't want to sacrifice on quality . Definitely recommend this !
      • 086 4  I like the cord rest , but don't like the surface . It does not go very smooth on the clothes . A bit disappointed .
      • 088 4  Just didn't get hot enough . Didn't like it . Had to order a new iron .
      • 103 4  I am very happy with this product , the reviews indicated it was a really good iron . . . I couldn't agree more . The retractable cord is a nice touch too !
      • 122 4  Don't have too much to say about it . This iron is well thought out and works just right . It glides over clothes like no other iron I have owned . The water refill nozzle is big enough in order to easily add water and it closes so that water doesn't spill everywhere when you move it around . The cable also retracts without having to fight with it . It's the best iron I have had so far . . .
      • 124 4  Really nice iron - - doesn't spit and sputter water and gets into the fold nicely . Nice product and good price .
      • 159 4  The iron is good , everything is OK , but for me it is a little bit heavy and it doesn't glide as well as I expected .
      • 163 4  This little baby is quick to heat up . I haven't had any problems while using it . I like the weight at the base because I've had many irons fall in the past . I'm pretty happy with my purchase .
      • 177 4  good iron . haven't had any issues with the machine . Will update if I find something amiss .

    • 037 4  As a guy who hates to iron , this iron works quite well . It gets hot , makes plenty of steam , doesn't drip , has a sweet retractable cord , and doesn't break the bank . It definitely makes ironing go faster . Go for it !
      • 193 4  This iron is for touch up next to the dryer . It is easy to use , can iron on a towel and is handy . A great second iron for the man with everything .

    • 045 4  This iron is a really great buy , especially for the money . It does a great job getting wrinkles out , and the point on it is narrow enough to fit between buttons . It heats up quickly , which is nice for those in a hurry , and the built-in cord wrap is very handy !
      • 097 4  The iron just glides very easily compared to others my family has used and we enjoy the convience of the hide away cord .
      • 111 4  This is truly a great iron at a great price . Easy to use and very good options .

    • 054 4  I don't love to iron clothes , but I didn't really dislike it either . I even paid a lot of money several years ago for a Rowenta steam iron . Which was big and heavy but supposedly wonderful , and when it died ? I bought another Rowenta . Which was also big and heavy , and developed a perpetually grungy and in-need-of-cleaning soleplate , as did the first one . It got to where I daren't touch the iron directly onto my clothes , but had to use a pressing cloth in between the two . And with all that hassle I came to loathe ironing my clothes . Recently , I tossed the Rowenta iron and looked for something inexpensive to replace it . I ordered this iron without high expectations , but it has a lot of good reviews and is a best seller , and sells for a fraction of the price of Rowenta irons - even the Rowenta model available at my local Costco warehouse . I'm so pleased ! This little iron has given me a lot of bang for the buck . It's lighter than the clunky Rowenta irons . The soleplate glides beautifully and after a month of use , has remained clean . The retractable cord works just fine and is a feature I would hate to have to give up in the future . By the way , those high-priced irons didn't have retractable cords . This iron produces an excellent amount of steam , and the burst of steam and adjustable steam features work flawlessly . The iron is easy to maneuver around and iron the intended places without leaving unwanted creases elsewhere . I recently ironed a batch of warm-weather cotton clothing with this iron . And I realized that now I'm enjoying ironing again . I wouldn't want to iron clothes all day . But if I have a good TV show or some good music going as I'm ironing , it's a pleasant time - which results in a lot of crisply ironed clean clothes .
      • 001 4  So far I've used this on pattern paper and several different types of fabric . It has a nice weight that you can allow to do most of the work for you , and it has a wonderful grip . It is fairly easy to fill the tank , and if you use a 3 / 4 cup measure to do it , you'll be just under Max - the tank is just over 6 oz . It glides beautifully over my fabric , though I had to be a little careful with the paper , since this iron is fairly well weighted . It has both a spray button and a steam button , and a simple switch between dry , some steam , lots of steam . The retractable cord is a wonderful thing and works very well . Blessed thing to have when there are curious animals that like to chew on cords or anything string-like . Makes for neat storage , too ! Heats quickly , and reheats quickly if it has shut itself off . It gives you 10 minutes if it is in the upright position , so that is plenty fine . I love this iron !
      • 007 4  I know . . . an iron is an iron . . . This one is really nice though . I like that the water reservoir is clear so that you can see when you need a refill . I like that the base is more substantial because I have a habit of knocking my iron off of the ironing board . ( Reason for having to get a new one ) . It works really well and I have no complaints . The price is great too .
      • 012 4  I puchased this iron to replace my Rowenta . It does a better Job then the Rowenta , its much lighter and has better temp controll . I would recommend this iron to anyone that has a lot of ironing to do .
      • 014 4  Works great , heats up fast and has several steam functions and what I like best is it has the retractable cord . I think the dial for the settings is a little cheap but it is something the manufacturer can work on . No problems ! Love it !
      • 019 4  This is a great iron . It's the perfect weight and it does a wonderful job . Now if it would just iron my clothes by itself we'd have a real winner !
      • 023 4  I bought this iron after having to twice return a Rowenta iron that retailed at twice the price . This iron is not as powerful or heavy as the Rowenta one , but it does everything is says it should do - and contrary to the Rowenta model , the cord retracts well ( which was important to me with 2 young children in the house - the Rowenta cord reel just didn't work ) and the iron stays on while ironing ( the Rowenta model had an over-enthusiastic smart auto-off switch which switched it off every minute or so ! ) . So bearing in mind the price , this is ideal .
      • 025 4  I just needed a basic iron for work shirts and I could not be more happy with the purchase . 1 ) EXCELLENT value ! I expected to pay almost twice as much for a trouble free iron . 2 ) Heats up very fast . 3 ) Glides around effortlessly on all my clothes . Curved , titanium sole plate makes a difference . 3 ) Retractable cord is a sweet feature . Watch out for : 1 ) The door to the water tank is somewhat flimsy so be VERY VERY gentle with it . 2 ) If you leave the iron horizontal on the sole plate when turned off , water will leak out . That's more my fault than the iron's . . .
      • 031 4  A short time after the warranty expired on my Rowenda steam iron ( their best model ) , it broke . To get it fixed was going to cost as much as a new iron . I was steaming hot , because these irons were supposed to be the best . They aren't . They're just expensive ! ! ! I decided to purchase your iron based on the reviews I read . I use it often and absolutely love it . It has tremendous steam , allows me to do my ironing in record time , and beats the Rowenda in ALL categories . I'd highly recommend this little baby to everyone .
      • 035 4  I have purchased a dozen or so steam-irons over the past 40 years and I was beginning to get very discouraged . It didn't matter how much I spent , they'd be clunky or would soon corrode up and die no matter what kind of water I used . This one shows great promise . It is lightweight without feeling cheap and fragile . The controls are simple and easy to get to . I love the retractable cord . The fill spout is angled to make it easy to fill at the faucet . And it irons beautifully . This was a great value !
      • 039 4  I had purchased 2 other irons before I bought this iron and returned both of them . they were to heavy or didn't work correctly . This iron was great in value and works wonderful . Everything was as described . I would recommend this iron to anyone .
      • 049 4  I have tried some brand of iron before and all of them gave me some level of design and poor quality . Panasonic is brand name that is reliable with all products . I am very impressed-great product and very great value . Thanks one again to Amazon .
      • 050 4  we ordered a new iron because I'm a big quilter and my old iron finally died . This seemed like such a good iron and nice features , but when I first started using it I knew it wasn't for me . It doesn't have an ON light , it has an indicator light that shuts off when the iron is hot enough , but otherwise I'd have no idea if the iron is on or not . I have my iron out all the time and use it daily and that's how I can safely leave the room - look for the light and see if it's off before I leave the room . So I would think this is a fire hazard ! we are returning this iron right away - if you don't care about the light it seems to be an awesome iron .
      • 069 4  I bought this for my wife a few months ago . When our old iron started leaving marks on my shirts we tried various irons from the cheapest to a $70 iron and none performed like this one . It's a winner in my book . I'll keep updating the review if anything goes wrong with it but so far so good ! Fingers crossed it will last as ling as our last one ! ! ! ! ! ! !
      • 094 4  I've only used this once so far but , I can't tell if mine is defective or not . First off it never turns off even in the off setting and Second the dials move to easily and never stay in there setting so I'm never on the right temp or setting , really annoying ! I like it just fine , anythings an improvement over my last iron but , I don't know if this is normal or just a mistake either way it's a really annoying feature of this product . I wonder if anyone else has had this problem ?
      • 099 4  I am a compulsive ironer . I have used many irons , including the expensive brands . I am thrilled with this iron . It heats quickly , has great steam , which is super important to me . I recommend this iron highly !
      • 101 4  I have used Rowenta for years now , and have always loved the way I was able to get the burst of steam that I so desired , in which to help press out those stubborn wrinkles . The only reason I needed a new iron was due to I burnt out my iron , and it was time after about 10 years for a new one . I read several reviews from people regarding this iron , and thought I was getting a good iron for a descent price , especially since I could not afford a Rowenta at this time . Well I was wrong , this iron is not worth the product used to make it . The burst of steam is a joke , and the water chamber holds only enough water to iron about 2 to 3 shirts . You get one burst of steam ( if you are lucky ) then you have to wait some time before you are allowed to get another one . My old Rowenta when I hit the burst of steam used to push the iron up off the ironing board , I can sneeze harder then the Panasonic's burst of steam . If you hit the burst button more than once you now get water leaking out of the steam jets , which then gives you water marks on your clothes . I iron quite a lot each week , and what used to take me about a half an hour now takes me almost 2 hours to do . Don't waste your money on this item , if you want something better take my advice and spend the extra money and buy Rowenta .
      • 131 4  I just need an iron that gets hot , steams up , and shuts off . Oh , and it also needs to not stick and cling to my clothes ( like my last iron ) . This iron is great . Heats up quickly , produces a nice amount of steam . The retractable cord was a great bonus ! Now the corner of my room where it sits isn't a mess of cords . The green on the water reservoir is fun too ; makes ironing before work in the morning just a little bit brighter .
      • 155 4  This iron is a great steam iron . It puts out a LOT of steam ( if you want ) , and is light and easy to use . I really like the retractable cord , it works perfectly .
      • 179 4  This is a great product and a great price . Does everything you need just like the more expensive irons . The price is perfect . . . . buy it !
      • 187 4  Bought this iron to replace an old 50 ' s GE . Didn't want alot of extra stuff , just the basics . It's easy to use & keep clean & my wife loves the retractable cord & quick heat up . She's very impressed !
      • 191 4  Nice looking , white and lime green iron . You can easily see how much water is left through the transparent green top . Water is easy to pour in , and easy to snap close . The retractable cord is really very convenient . When it is time for storage , all you need to do is push a button . From time to time you may need to help it with a little tug or a push , but still way better than having the whole cord dangling around . No annoying cord mess . Good weight balance . Has easy access buttons for the steam and spray functions . The iron is fast on heating , you can use it almost instantly after you plug it in . The bottom part is curved to help slide better on clothes . Still , it does not slide as smooth as our old retired iron . It is heavier than our old iron which helps in pressing the fabric better . That doesn't mean it is heavy , in fact , I think the weight is just perfect . There are 3 ways it will auto-turn off . 1 ) Will turn off in 1 minute if you leave it stationary on its flat heating element . 2 ) Will turn off in 1 minute if it was left lying sideways , and 3 ) Will turn off in ten minutes standing on its heel where the retractable cord reel is . Definitely a great upgrade to our old iron . I did look around before making a purchase , I found this to be of great value for the price .
      • 197 4  Purchased this on dec 3 2009 , arrived on time , excellent value , you really do not need to drive to a store , everything is here on Amazon.Gas is over 3.70 a gallon , I received free shipping , savings on the iron , what else can I say but , thank you Amazon .
      • 200 4  Everything wonderful anout this iron . I've gone through a couple other models / brands and this is the best I've come across for the options , quality and price .
      • 202 4  I bought this iron about three weeks ago . It works fine , not the best iron I ever used . It is too easy to unplug , so sometimes it unplugs in the middle of process ( I don't really like that ) . But may be it happens because of my outlet . Good for the price . I don't plan to return it : )
      • 214 4  The iron arrived before the expected delivery date , and well packed . At first glance it appeared to be a a very nice item , but I was sorry to see that there was evidence that the item was definitely NOT new . It had : 1 - Water drops in the reservoir . 2 - Calcium / limescale buildup in the steam holes . 3 - Marks and dust on the soleplate . This seems to be the very same iron reviewed by Nitkad on April 29 , 2009 . I am returning the iron to Amazon who are giving a refund but not a replacement . I need an iron and this has been a waste of time . Dear Amazon , please dump this iron and please do not send it to another buyer ! It is a disgrace to the good names of Amazon and Panasonic .
      • 215 4  I am not sure if Amazon is selling brand new products or not . I am buying from them for many years . The packaging is never seals like if you buy the stuff from BestBuy etc . But then also , I thought i might be just bulk product packaging . But , this iron which is suppose to be brand new , had water inside the water tank and the steam pores had already showing the builtup of the minerals . As such for the iron , the quality does not seem to be good .

    • 057 4  Being a male user of this iron , I find it extremely handy and useful . I mostly iron formal dresses , so the different settings are very useful on this iron . It also does a very good job for cotton shirts and pants , with the steam settings being very good for hard to remove creases . The spray feature is quite good as well . The design of the nose region of the iron makes it very easy to navigate and maneuver . I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an inexpensive but reliable iron . I have tried other cheaper irons before , and this iron has significantly reduced my work time .
      • 018 4  This iron is perfect . It lets you control the amount of steam you want , lets you steam a garment vertically , and heats up pretty fast . I love this iron . For those of you who are having issues with leaking , here's the fix : do not press the steam button rapidly . I did that and water would leak . Just press the steam button every 3 seconds or so . other than that . . . this iron is perfect .
      • 041 4  So far I love this iron and I will be able to judge better after I see how long it is going to function without problems of spitting and sputtering . I use only filtered water in my irons . I like Panasonic products . I like the steam settings and the pointed tip which makes it easier to iron around buttons . I also like the stored cord and the titanium coated plate . Also does a great job ironing . What more can I say ? I would recommend this iron to family and friends .
      • 092 4  This iron does not steam enough for my needs and the steam button produces very little and it is very weak . I had a B & D digital advantage and loved it but unfortunately the do not make that model any more . I will keep trying different iron until I find one that operates effectively .
      • 115 4  When my expensive Rowenta iron conked out after only two years of use , I was scrambling to find a new iron in a hurry . So far , after two months of use , this one is working just fine .
      • 126 4  This iron is fantastic ! It steams beautifully and does not spit at all . Because I live in a hard-water area , I do use distilled water . Regardless , it steams well so I rarely use the burst of steam button . I will be purchasing this very same iron for my college-bound child in the next few months . You will love this iron , and it's economical .
      • 167 4  This is a lightweight steam iron that does a very good job . It is easy to use and the retractable cord is a very nice feature . This only drawback in my household is that it is too narrow to fit in the iron holder I have mounted on my door . So I have to keep it on a shelf which takes up extra space .
      • 211 4  I looked in all the stores and could not find a decent , cost effective iron . This iron works great !

    • 063 4  When I opened the packaging and took out this iron , the first thing I noticed was water in the reservoir . As other reviewers noted , that water makes it seem as if the iron isn't new . It's odd . On the other hand , the iron is a top performer and a great value . I highly recommend it and would give it five stars if that water could be explained .
      • 189 4  Let me start by saying I hate ironing it drives me crazy . But this iron is amazing it heats up very fast , it glides over the clothes very easily because of the coating and the retracible cord is great . Highly recommended .

    • 065 4  I bought this iron to replace an old Westinghouse iron that I inherited from my Mother before 1980 , so I calculate that it was more than 30 years old . I don't iron very often . I had washed a houseful of cafe curtains , and I wanted a good steam iron so that I wouldn't need to sprinkle them before ironing , something that would smooth out the wrinkles with as little effort as possible . I read quite a few reviews on Amazon before deciding which iron to buy . This one was highly acclaimed by many , so I bought it . What a good choice ! I love this iron . Knowing that our tap water is hard , I bought a jug of distilled water and filled the iron's reservoir to the appropriate line , followed the directions for steaming , and in no time at all , my curtains were beautifully ironed . It was just perfect for the job . The price was very reasonable for such a good iron , too , and it arrived in only a few days after I ordered it . I like everything about this iron . It's very smooth , not heavy at all , and it's also colorful , which brightens the mood when you're ironing . . . not a chore I ever enjoyed until now . I like the retractable cord , too . It's especially handy when the iron is stored . I highly recommend this product .
      • 006 4  I purchased this Panasonic steam iron with retractable cord in April after struggling with a couple of lighter irons . It does an excellent job on removing the wrinkles from clothes . . . steams and sprays very well . I've used it on a couple of craft projects too . Love the soleplate . It just seems to glide over things . If I needed to replace this iron , I would buy another one just exactly like it . I had a Rowenta iron for years and actually like this one much better . Nice job Panasonic ! !
      • 052 4  It's a fairly good iron if you're not a perfectionist . I've had it for a few months now & I've noticed that the steam doesn't work as well as when I first got it . Also , it also doesn't heat up enough to get all the wrinkles out of the clothes even though I always have it set at the highest heat setting . But for the price , I suppose it works . I might have to buy something better though because the clothes don't look pressed enough .
      • 081 4  I have used this iron a few times since purchasing it from here . I think that this iron is great ! It takes care of any wrinkles in my pants , and it's fast to heat up and cool off to store , to make ironing easy before classes . I don't think I've seen anything wrong with this yet , and I couldn't allow myself to let this product's rating suffer through problems like is Amazon really selling new irons ? I would definitely recommend it !

    • 067 4  I hadn't seen this model at any store , so was going by other people's comments . For the most part , it lives upto the good ratings . Its fairly light weight even with the water . Retractable cord is certainly helpful although its operation is not the smoothest . One doesn't need to press hard like my earlier steam iron to get good results . The only glitch I observed is some water leakage when it is laid flat after switching off . I'd call that relatively minor as that doesn't happen if you leave it standing . I haven't had problems with the lid on the water intake as some of the reviews pointed that out . It helps to be careful about that . It looks like a value for money buy so far .

      • 107 4  I recently replaced my Rowenta with this Panasonic that cost less than half the price of the Rowenta . I really thought I had a good iron when I purchased the Rowenta only 2 1 / 2 years ago so I was very disspointed when it started leaking out of the handle . Water coming through the controls is never a good thing . I went online and started researching the best irons and this Panasonic had raving reviews . I looked at several local retailers and was unable to find it in any stores so I had to order it . It was delivered within just a couple of days so that didn't turn out to be a problem . I iron weekly and have had this iron for several weeks now . It works wonderfully and it has not leaked or spit water while ironing . This is something that I have had a hard time finding in an iron . I hope this one lasts a long time !
        • 145 4  It is economical and it works . the cord is a nice little feature . I used to buy rowentas and they would only last 2 years . now I buy panasonic and they last 1 / 2 years but are much cheaper and work well . it does make a good quantity of steam .
        • 205 4  I generally hate to iron but let's face it from time to time it has to get done . This iron is exactly what i needed to make the job quick and easy . It has very nice features which are not too complicated to use . Love the retractable cord , comfortable handle and it automatically shuts off after 10 minutes if left in the upright position and after 60 seconds if left unmoved on its soleplate or if tipped over on its side . Can be used by a righty or lefty . All in all very good value and performance . Recommend it .

      • 129 4  It is all good with this iron-starting with the price and then on to the ease of use . It heats up quickly , is very smooth as it glides over your clothes , and the steam function works well . I would say it is weighted properly-not too heavy or too light , the color is cool , and the retractable cord comes in handy .
        • 004 4  Selected for it's titanium soleplate which cleans easily if you get fusible web fused onto it instead of fabric or the ironing board cover . Nice and light weight . Turns itself off , but reheats quickly .
        • 171 4  I am so pleased with my new purchase . It is so easy to use , lightweight , and the features that it offers were just what I was looking for . The titanium coat enables the iron to move so smoothly and the retractable cord is great ! I am so glad I read all the reviews before I decided to purchase this Panasonic .

      • 151 4  This iron works great . It knocks out wrinkles . Its not heavy . I hope it last for a long period of time . This doesnt get as hot as my Rowenta Advancer , nor does it produce as much steam , but the Rowenta cost 5 times as much . I would definitely buy again if it stays durable .
        • 021 4  This iron works great . . . as good as the iron I replaced & I paid 3 times as much for that one .
        • 048 4  We replaced another brand that was sticking . I read all the reviews and made sure that this would glide smoothly . It works well and the steaming options are great . A buy !
        • 095 4  I am very happy with this iron . It is much better than the expensive one my husband bought .
        • 127 4  This item is pretty cool ! I really like it . A good commendation from me for this price .
        • 199 4  I like the titanium plate because I fuse a fare amount and it does not stick or gum up . I like the retractable cord , I like the lime green color . It works just like an iron should .
        • 213 4  This is a great iron and it looks good too ! Works great and is exactly what I expected .

      • 165 4  I have used the higher priced irons as well as the cheap ones . This one is well worth the price . It is just the right weight . The see-through window on the water tank lets you know when to refill . It is easy to refill under the faucet or with a container . The titanium-coated soleplate makes ironing all material a breez . The retactable cord is exactly what I needed for storage . Just push the button and the cord is retracted into the base . Just like that ! I highly recommend this iron .
        • 008 4  Good weight , heats fast , irons perfect with no need to starch clothing . My only gripe is I wish the cord would be longer . Otherwise this iron is one of the best I've ever used .
        • 055 4  I like this iron pretty well , except for the soleplate . It's Teflon or something and I would prefer if it is metal . My old metal-plate one would slide better . Also I think the light for ' on ' should be red . It's green and in an odd place . Also I don't like the control position , which is under the handle , and hard to even turn it . It's pretty good at steaming though , which is the important thing .
        • 059 4  At first I thought this was a great iron . It's easy to use , as good as a more expensive iron . But , the second time I used it the retractable cord stopped working .
        • 079 4  I have been using it for a couple of months . It heats up fast , has plenty of stream , not too heavy and works great . I also like the retractable cord . Overall very satisfied with this iron .
        • 084 4  I should have bought this iron years ago . I had no idea that a steam iron could work so well - I was contemplating buying a professional steamer but thought I'd try this first . I'm so glad that I did . It is so easy to get out stubborn wrinkles . I love it !
        • 109 4  This iron is easy to use . Ironing around buttons is one example . I like the reel-in cord because of storing convenience .
        • 117 4  This is a nice little iron for the price . It works well , glides nicely , and I love the retractable cord . My only complaint is a minor one - the dial with the temperature settings is placed behind the handle which makes it a bit troublesome to turn . Other than that , it's fine .
        • 153 4  So far , I do not have any complaints . The iron is light , but effective . The retractable cord is a nice touch , making the iron more compact . It glides very smoothly . The steam works very well . Overall , a very good iron , especially given the cheap price . Time will tell how long this iron holds up against wear and tear . In the meantime , I am very satisfied .
        • 185 4  I like the features , it is light , worth its prize and it is easy to use . I like that it uses tap water ans has safety features .
        • 209 4  She likes it very much she says . Heats up quickly , super cord retractor , light and easy to iron with . . . had a Rowenda prior to this Iron , actually the last two were Rowendas . . . she likes the Panasonic way better then the high priced spread !

      • 169 4  Best iron for the price and the quality is excellent . The functions are easy and works as expected . Would recommended to anyone who is loking for a cheap all functional iron !
        • 096 4  Works very well especially as it is so light , retractable cord handy . Impressed would buy it again .
        • 119 4  Really wonderful product , especially for the price . Good weight , but not too heavy , excellent steam power , heats up quickly . Excellent .

      • Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I don't love to iron clothes , but I didn't really dislike it either .
        • 005 4  Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green I purchased this iron to replace the Panasonic NI-A56NR . I had it for several years till the cord was destroyed . Loved the automatic cord reel and the curved soleplate . It slid over everything with no effort . My new Panasonic NI-S300TR has all the same features as the last one with the exception that the cord reel works even better ! I think they may have increased the size of the reel housing to do this but I did not even notice this till I went to put it away and noticed that it was a bit taller than my last iron . The steam function works great and I love that I can select to have steam or dry iron at the flip of the thumb . I tried a different Shark from a local store and you could not even use the steam unless the iron was on the hottest setting and it claimed to be a professional model . To make a long story short , Buy it !
        • 010 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron heats up quickly , and I love the retractable cord . Great for someone who doesn't want to pay a lot for an iron , but doesn't want to sacrifice on quality . Definitely recommend this !
        • 013 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Works great , heats up fast and has several steam functions and what I like best is it has the retractable cord . I think the dial for the settings is a little cheap but it is something the manufacturer can work on . No problems ! Love it !
        • 015 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron is a great value - - - works as well as the very high priced irons . This is my second purchase of this iron !
        • 017 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron is perfect .
        • 020 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron works great . . . as good as the iron I replaced & I paid 3 times as much for that one .
        • 022 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I bought this iron after having to twice return a Rowenta iron that retailed at twice the price .
        • 024 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I just needed a basic iron for work shirts and I could not be more happy with the purchase . That's more my fault than the iron's . . .
        • 026 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Iron had clearly been used upon arrival , as evidenced by water still in it ! I thought , well ok , I'll try it anyway . Plugged it in and absolutely nothing . The error is mostly with Amazon for sending me an obviously used and defective product , so I am taking my chances and getting a replacement . Hopefully I will have a better experience with that .
        • 028 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I am very pleased with my new iron .
        • 030 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) A short time after the warranty expired on my Rowenda steam iron ( their best model ) , it broke .
        • 032 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I was looking for an iron to replace a Rowenta that I dropped . . . although I was not entirely unhappy that I needed to buy a new iron as the Rowenta was not nearly as good as my prior iron , a Norelco .
        • 034 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I have purchased a dozen or so steam-irons over the past 40 years and I was beginning to get very discouraged .
        • 036 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) As a guy who hates to iron , this iron works quite well . It gets hot , makes plenty of steam , doesn't drip , has a sweet retractable cord , and doesn't break the bank . It definitely makes ironing go faster . Go for it !
        • 038 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I had purchased 2 other irons before I bought this iron and returned both of them . they were to heavy or didn't work correctly . This iron was great in value and works wonderful . Everything was as described . I would recommend this iron to anyone .
        • 040 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) So far I love this iron and I will be able to judge better after I see how long it is going to function without problems of spitting and sputtering . I use only filtered water in my irons . I like Panasonic products . I like the steam settings and the pointed tip which makes it easier to iron around buttons . I also like the stored cord and the titanium coated plate . Also does a great job ironing . What more can I say ? I would recommend this iron to family and friends .
        • 042 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I really liked this iron . It's light weight and heats up pretty fast.I would reccomend it .
        • 044 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron is a really great buy , especially for the money . It does a great job getting wrinkles out , and the point on it is narrow enough to fit between buttons . It heats up quickly , which is nice for those in a hurry , and the built-in cord wrap is very handy !
        • 051 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) It's a fairly good iron if you're not a perfectionist .

        • 062 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) When I opened the packaging and took out this iron , the first thing I noticed was water in the reservoir . As other reviewers noted , that water makes it seem as if the iron isn't new . It's odd . On the other hand , the iron is a top performer and a great value . I highly recommend it and would give it five stars if that water could be explained .
        • 064 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I bought this iron to replace an old Westinghouse iron that I inherited from my Mother before 1980 , so I calculate that it was more than 30 years old .
        • 066 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I hadn't seen this model at any store , so was going by other people's comments .

When our old iron started leaving marks on my shirts we tried various irons from the cheapest to a $70 iron and none performed like this one . It's a winner in my book . I'll keep updating the review if anything goes wrong with it but so far so good ! Fingers crossed it will last as ling as our last one ! ! ! ! ! ! !

        • 093 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I've only used this once so far but , I can't tell if mine is defective or not .

        • 100 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I have used Rowenta for years now , and have always loved the way I was able to get the burst of steam that I so desired , in which to help press out those stubborn wrinkles .

Very happy with this purchase .
        • 106 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I recently replaced my Rowenta with this Panasonic that cost less than half the price of the Rowenta .

        • 110 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This is truly a great iron at a great price . Easy to use and very good options .
        • 114 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) When my expensive Rowenta iron conked out after only two years of use , I was scrambling to find a new iron in a hurry . So far , after two months of use , this one is working just fine .
        • 116 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This is a nice little iron for the price . It works well , glides nicely , and I love the retractable cord . My only complaint is a minor one - the dial with the temperature settings is placed behind the handle which makes it a bit troublesome to turn . Other than that , it's fine .
        • 118 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Really wonderful product , especially for the price . Good weight , but not too heavy , excellent steam power , heats up quickly . Excellent .

        • 121 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Don't have too much to say about it . This iron is well thought out and works just right . It glides over clothes like no other iron I have owned . The water refill nozzle is big enough in order to easily add water and it closes so that water doesn't spill everywhere when you move it around . The cable also retracts without having to fight with it . It's the best iron I have had so far . . .
        • 123 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Really nice iron - - doesn't spit and sputter water and gets into the fold nicely . Nice product and good price .
        • 125 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron is fantastic ! It steams beautifully and does not spit at all . Because I live in a hard-water area , I do use distilled water . Regardless , it steams well so I rarely use the burst of steam button . I will be purchasing this very same iron for my college-bound child in the next few months . You will love this iron , and it's economical .
        • 128 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) It is all good with this iron-starting with the price and then on to the ease of use . It heats up quickly , is very smooth as it glides over your clothes , and the steam function works well . I would say it is weighted properly-not too heavy or too light , the color is cool , and the retractable cord comes in handy .
        • 130 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I just need an iron that gets hot , steams up , and shuts off .
        • 132 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron works great . You cant find an iron at this price point with a retractable cord . I have used it several times and it does a great job . I tried a few others and most of them dripped or left white residue behind .
        • 134 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) My old iron was failing in the steam area , so I am in seventh heaven with this iron . I have only had this iron for 3 weeks or so , but I am very pleased so far . And the price was reasonable . If the iron lasts , the rating sticks .
        • 136 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Great product from Panasonic. To describe the features of this Iron in one sentence : Its an amazing piece . • 138 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) i cannot make a review on this product as it was completely defective . the water came straight out through the vents at the bottom , and then it stopped turning on . the only positive is the cord retractor , what a great idea .
        • 140 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) It's an iron . I confess that I generally try to avoid clothes made of fabrics that require ironing so it's only my husband that uses this . He actually has high demands when it comes to his irons but I haven't overheard him complaining yet , so I'll assume it does it's job with no dramas .
        • 142 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I'll make this short and sweet . This is the BEST iron I have ever owned , no kidding . LOVE the retractable cord ! !
        • 144 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) It is economical and it works . the cord is a nice little feature . I used to buy rowentas and they would only last 2 years . now I buy panasonic and they last 1 / 2 years but are much cheaper and work well . it does make a good quantity of steam .
        • 146 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I was given a Rowenta iron from my mother in law around Christmas time and have cussed it and cussed it . Finally I decided to try this iron based on its reviews . The Rowenta went in the trash ! This iron is awesome . I just love the retractable cord ! The steam is abundant and it works great on everything from my husband's 2XL t-shirts to ironing out the tiniest kinks on little infant clothes . I would recommend this iron to everyone !
        • 148 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Works like a charm . It does what it said on description . Love the retractable cord .
        • 150 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron works great . It knocks out wrinkles . Its not heavy . I hope it last for a long period of time . This doesnt get as hot as my Rowenta Advancer , nor does it produce as much steam , but the Rowenta cost 5 times as much . I would definitely buy again if it stays durable .
        • 152 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) So far , I do not have any complaints .
        • 154 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron is a great steam iron . It puts out a LOT of steam ( if you want ) , and is light and easy to use . I really like the retractable cord , it works perfectly .
        • 156 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) The iron was the perfect fit for the needs we had . Didn't need any fancy bulky steamer . This works perfectly ! Good steamer and heats up quickly .
        • 158 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) The iron is good , everything is OK , but for me it is a little bit heavy and it doesn't glide as well as I expected .
        • 160 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I love everything about it . It's beautiful , it's comfortable to hold , easy to fill & drain , it's the perfect weight , the surge of steam is the best I've ever seen , and how have I lived this long without a RETRACTABLE CORD ? ? ? ? ? Haven't had it long enough to comment on its durability , but I can't recall a single Panasonic product through the years that hasn't given long , trouble-free service .
        • 162 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This little baby is quick to heat up . I haven't had any problems while using it . I like the weight at the base because I've had many irons fall in the past . I'm pretty happy with my purchase .
        • 164 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I have used the higher priced irons as well as the cheap ones .
        • 166 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This is a lightweight steam iron that does a very good job . It is easy to use and the retractable cord is a very nice feature . This only drawback in my household is that it is too narrow to fit in the iron holder I have mounted on my door . So I have to keep it on a shelf which takes up extra space .
        • 168 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Best iron for the price and the quality is excellent . The functions are easy and works as expected . Would recommended to anyone who is loking for a cheap all functional iron !

It is so easy to use , lightweight , and the features that it offers were just what I was looking for . The titanium coat enables the iron to move so smoothly and the retractable cord is great ! I am so glad I read all the reviews before I decided to purchase this Panasonic .

        • 174 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Panasonic NI-S300TR does what it's supposed to . Heats fast and produces nice amounts of steam quickly . Curved soleplate is a nice feature - iron less likely to cause wrinkles . This iron is a nice find after struggling with some others .
        • 176 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) good iron . haven't had any issues with the machine . Will update if I find something amiss .

        • 180 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I still can't get over how well this iron works given it was so low priced . We've had it for a few months now and it is fantastic on all fabrics , including men's shirts , drapes , and table cloths . The cord could be longer , but otherwise I'm 100% satisfied . I would buy this product again .
        • 182 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) In the past , I have used Rowenta Irons . . . expensive and overrated . . . problems with both . If you love to iron , I highly suggest the Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 Watt . . . works great !
        • 184 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I like the features , it is light , worth its prize and it is easy to use . I like that it uses tap water ans has safety features .
        • 186 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Bought this iron to replace an old 50 ' s GE . Didn't want alot of extra stuff , just the basics . It's easy to use & keep clean & my wife loves the retractable cord & quick heat up . She's very impressed !
        • 188 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Let me start by saying I hate ironing it drives me crazy . But this iron is amazing it heats up very fast , it glides over the clothes very easily because of the coating and the retracible cord is great . Highly recommended .
        • 190 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) Nice looking , white and lime green iron .
        • 192 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This iron is for touch up next to the dryer . It is easy to use , can iron on a towel and is handy . A great second iron for the man with everything .
        • 194 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) My Rowenta DX1700 of 1 year started leaking and spurting and smelling like it was burning . So time for a new iron . Everyone thinks I love ironing because I seem to be doing it all the time . No , I hate ironing but it is necessary . I generally spend between $40 and $70 for an iron and if I'm lucky they last 2 - 3 years . But , this last one only 1 year . So , I looked for something good but cheap and I found the Panasonic NI-S300TR for only $18.95 . Some sites are selling it for up to $45 . Now , I can't attest to the longevity - have had it for 2 weeks , but so far this is an excellent iron - if you're using steam . Doesn't seem to get very hot without it - that's why only 4 stars , but I always use steam so good for me . I've heard the heavier the iron the better . Let me tell you , if you're ironing a lot and you have a 6 lb iron , you need to be a weightlifter . This iron is 3.4 lbs and easy to maneuver . Has only a 6 oz . water tank but is much more water efficient than the larger tank of my Rowenta . Even if this fails after 1 year I've only spent $18.95 . I bought 2 and didn't have to pay shipping . So , for me the the Panasonic NI-S300TR was an excellent buy .

        • 198 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I like the titanium plate because I fuse a fare amount and it does not stick or gum up . I like the retractable cord , I like the lime green color . It works just like an iron should .
        • 201 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I bought this iron about three weeks ago . It works fine , not the best iron I ever used . It is too easy to unplug , so sometimes it unplugs in the middle of process ( I don't really like that ) . But may be it happens because of my outlet . Good for the price . I don't plan to return it : )
        • 204 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) I generally hate to iron but let's face it from time to time it has to get done .

The main test will be after 1 year of service . If it can make it one year we will know how well it works .

      • Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) This is my 3rd iron in 6 months . I have had this iron for about 1 1 / 2 months so I am still waiting to see if it holds up . So far so good . My first iron was a B & D Digital2030 iron . Lasted 4 months and quit . Handle got hot and iron would turn on to Setting 1 after it was turned off . 2nd iron was a Shark brand . Didn't work from day one . Would only turn on if you unplugged the cord and then replugged . Returned that . So far , this iron is performing great . For a 1200watt iron it produced a lot of steam even without pushing the burst of steam button . I iron all my husband's work / dress shirts and need an iron that is adequate for cotton . The titanium coated soleplate is nice , but I do prefer SS . The tip of the iron is the best I have had so far . It is quite pointed and really gets into tight spaces . I sew quite a lot and this is great for pressing out corners . I purchased the titanium soleplate because of fusibles that I work with and need to be able to remove it . So far so good . The retractable cord is a nice feature although my iron is up and ready all the time . The cord c / b a little longer , but is probably limited because it is retractable . It does work nicely . The base of the iron is not too heavy ( as it looks ) and stands on the base really well . For the steam it produces , the amount of water it uses is remarkable . You don't need to fill it constantly , and it is fairly easy to fill . Didn't see the need for a removable water resevoir . A word of caution though - the iron needs to go thru several sessions to remove whatever is inside it . There was a slight fragrance the first few times I used it and it did deposit an oily ( ? ) spot which came out easily on my white shirts . It did go away and now is fine . All in all , I recommend this iron . If it doesn't hold up I will come back and update my review . I do not recommend DIGITAL IRONS . I don't think the technology is there yet especially if you sew and leave your iron on a lot . WELL , I HAVE HAD THIS IRON FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT . IT STILL PRODUCES A GREAT DEAL OF STEAM , THE SOLEPLATE IS HOLDING UP WELL , AND THE IRON HASN'T TIPPED OVER ON THE IRONING BOARD ONCE . I JUST PURCHASED ANOTHER ONE FOR MY SON BECAUSE HE NEEDS A RETRACTABLE CORD . EVEN IF THE IRON GOES KAPUT ON ME NOW , I THINK I WOULD STILL BUY IT AGAIN . I ALSO JUST REALIZED THAT THIS IRON HAS THE GOOD HOUSEKEEPING SEAL OF APPROVAL . THAT IS ALWAYS A PLUS FOR ME .

This is due to our testing of the steam mechanism performed at the factory . . . That was OK until I noticed a considerable buildup of scale in the vent holes . Where on earth are they testing these irons if one test is clogging the vent holes ? I am not convinced this iron isn't used . Here in Phoenix , AZ , the water is hard and there is no where near the buildup this new iron has in comparison to irons I've used over the years . Especially considering my lax discipline in the use of their self-cleaning . Pondering the price and features , I thought of keeping the iron until I read this on page 11 in the manual : If the Steam / Dry Selector is not in the Dry position after using , remaining water will move into the Soleplate and damage the Soleplate and may RESULT IN BURNS ( emphasis mine ) during the next initial use of the iron . That diddy is step 4 in the After each use instruction set , step 3 being Empty the iron . . . So , even if you empty the iron , there may be enough water left in order to burn you later if you forget to move the selector to dry EVERY TIME you put up the iron FROM NOW ON ! I've decided to forget this iron instead . I've returned it for a refund . Once again , Five Stars go to Amazon for their near effortless refund protocol !

        • 060 4  This review is from : Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200 - Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate , White / Green ( Kitchen ) When I needed to replace my old steam iron I came to Amazon and discovered this one sitting at the top of their best seller list . I'd already been looking at steam irons locally , and was stunned to see some priced close to $100 . I don't do enough ironing to justify that expense , so decided to try this Panasonic model Amazon was selling for a mere $18.95 at the time . It arrived quickly and I put it to use right away . Loading the tank with water was easy enough , and the first thing I noticed is how FAST it achieved full temperature . It is very useful to have a low and high steam setting . The curved sole plate sounded like a gimmick to me , but it really isn't . This subtle feature REALLY DOES inhibit creases where they're not wanted . I never use the spray feature on any steam iron , but I tested it and it worked fine . The iron is neither too light nor too heavy , and it comes with a generous length cord . It is much narrower than my old iron , which makes ironing in tight spots much easier . For me one of the best features of all is the retractable cord - what's not to like about that ? The cord is conveniently out of the way for storage , and the cord reel serves as a substantial base that keeps the iron from tipping over when it's sitting upright . Nothing will ever make me love ironing , but I'm very happy with the performance of this steam iron . . . add my five-star recommendation to the others .

        • 161 4  I love everything about it .
