Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger, 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter (CostCo Kit #2)

  • 023 4  Batteries hold there charge for months . Bought the first ones for my wireless keyboard and mouse . Both devices run for months without a recharge . A Friend told me about them because he could not find a rechargeable battery that would work in his old digital camera . After he bought some of the eneloops . Now he says his camera works just as good as it did on the name brand non-rechargeable batteries . He claims the batteries will hold a charge for months .

    • 053 4  I bought these for my digital camera that gobbles alkaline battries . ( literally a pair every 40 minutes of use ! ) They were expensive , but last about 5 times longer per charge than alkalines , and you can use them all the way to the end . With alkalines you can only use them to a certain point , and the camera dies . ( at least mine does ) Plus when you use up a charge on these , you just pop them in the handy little charger , and in 2 - 4 hours you have a new pair of batteries ! I love them ! ! ! I would DEFINITLY get these again ! ! !
      • 097 4  i expected these batteries to work when they arrive , but they didnt . they're charged up now , tho . [ shrugs ] no worries .

    • 058 4  This is actually a great item to have . Come with case to hold your batteries and battery charger . It really paid for itself because I used it a lot which saved me some money from buying batteries . The only thing is that , it does not last as long as regular batteries , but I am not shocked by that since they are rechargables . I still give it 5 stars because it really is a great item .
      • 033 4  Was everything as advertised . Very efficient , probably won't go with anything but these kind of rechargeables in the future . A +
      • 039 4  Now I don't have to feel guilty about going though batteries with my MP3 player speakers and my camera . This set is a good buy and they charged up quickly with no problem .
      • 050 4  The product is great and delivered everything promised however , the packaging ( blister pac ) is dangerous . It was so difficult to cut through , I cut my hand in trying to open it . I finally ask my son to open it and he struggled with it until he got tools from the tool box . I hope there is a class action suite against this type of packaging . I will be first in line .
      • 065 4  I have a Canon PowerShot camera which requires a lot of battery power when using the flash indoors , and these batteries don't last long in it . They also do not have the shelf life indicated . . . if I let them sit for a week after charging they have to be charged again before use . I'm still in search of a good rechargeable battery for this camera .
      • 077 4  I have many different battery powered devices and got sick of buying batteries just to throw them away so I decided to purchase these rechargables . It was well worth it and I definitely plan on buying enough batteries for everything I own .

    • I have only tested this battery on a baby swing that requires 4 D batteries . I'm sure it works fine for other uses ; just not swings . At first , I didn't have to recharge for about 4 days . I've been using them for about a week and now I'm having to swap out and recharge every 24 hours and I'm sure they will continue to wear down to below 24 hour life . So I am still searching for the enviro-friendly solution to burning through batteries for my swing .
      • 067 4  So far I've enjoyed using my Eneloop's in small home electronics ( game controllers , TV Remotes ) and they don't do too bad when used for my photography ( Flash units etc ) . Capacity is a bit lower than I'd prefer but leaving them on the shelf and ready is very helpful .
      • 083 4  This was a recommendation from a friend , who learned from a professional that these were the best rechargeable batteries you could have for electronics / dSLRs . I never expected it would take so long to charge , AND that they came with a full charge ! I've read great reviews about their battery life , and so far , they are dead on !
      • 092 4  I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son and his wife who have 2 little girls . They've been using the batteries for 6 weeks and haven't had to recharge them yet . Needless to say they are very pleased , and so am I .

    • Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) It was absolutely my fault , but I ordered this package thinking that it included 4 C and 4 D size batteries , in addition to the 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries . Oops . It turned out I had not read carefully enough , that the package does NOT contain D and C size batteries . Instead , it contains D and C size ' spacers ' . These spacers are pieces of plastic into which you insert AA batteries . So you are not getting 18 batteries , you are getting 10 batteries plus the ability to convert some of the 8 AA's temporarily into C and D size . I don't suggest that my mistake was due to anyone's fault but my own , but I figured that if it happened to me , it might happen to others . It is important to be fully aware of the actual contents of the package when you're comparing it to other Eneloop packages on the market . Had I known the actual contents , I probably would have opted for a less expensive package . * UPDATE * I just tried to use the D-sized adapters in a MagLite flashlight that takes 4 D-cell batteries . I popped the AA eneloops into the D adapters . . . some of them clicked , others didn't quite click . I pressed firmly and did the best I could to get them to snap into place . I put them in the Mag Lite ( which I know to be working ) , and . . . . no power . I believe it has to do with the fact that the spiral contact at the tail end of the flashlight shaft is trying to contact a much larger circumfrenced point of contact . With the AA eneloops in the adapters , you only get the small AA termnals to try to make contact with . Well , just another reason to be careful when you make this purchase and know that you are not getting 100% genuine D-cell batteries , but rather adapters that are not 100% fool-proof . Good luck . [ Update to this part : As per a suggestion in the comments on my review , I put a penny on top of the top battery's terminal , and then screwed in the flashlight's endcap . It worked - - the penny functionally increased the battery's contact area . I have no idea if this is good for the flashlight or the battery . . . hopefully not ruining anything . ] Update 2 : Obviously , it's hard to make too much of a judgment in the short term , but in terms of the performance of the AA and AAA batteries , I have to say these are excellent . They hold charge amazingly well and their life is good when fully charged . The adapter system has its flaws , and although it's a clever idea and makes sense in a lot of ways , could use some cleaning up . I could imagine a modification to the adapters such that one end was covered in a thin piece of metal to allow for conduction , alleviating the need for the penny trick described in the previous paragraph . Long story short : Good buy , I'm buying more , but not a cure-all and I suspect things will continue to improve in this niche so it doesn't make sense to load up on a TON of these . Update 3 : Eneloops rock . I keep accumulating these when they go on sale . Here's a handy tip : If you find Duracell rechargeables that have a white band around the positive terminal and are made in Japan ( not China ) , then you have found rebranded Eneloops . They will be cheaper than the Sanyo-branded eneloops .

      • 003 4  The biggest drawback for Nickel Metal Hydride batteries is the shelf life . I got gadgets and toys all around the house , so I constantly charging batteries to have them ready when I need them . There will be very little juice left if you put them in the shelf unused for a couple of months . A waste of time and energy . Hence , one of the biggest advancement in battery technology is the arrival of the new low discharge Nickel Metal Hydride batteries . This is another great step in helping the environment . I have very few left of the old batteries since I started to replace all of them with low discharge batteries . Eneloops and Duracell are 2 of the best of its kind . Pros : - Low discharge . - Fine quality product . Well constructed - Conventional size and dimension . I had other batteries that I have to use a screwdriver to remove from my camera because it is fatter than other AA's . - Included D & C spacers are really useful . - Regular charger included ( You can also use your existing NiMh charger for these batteries ) - Sleek and sexy design Cons : - More expensive than ordinary NiMh - Not available at many stores - Maxes at around 2000 - 2100 mAh
      • 004 4  I've been using Eneloop batteries in my digital camera for a couple of years now , and there seems to be no question that they are superior to any other type of rechargeable battery ( at a reasonable price ) . I've thrown away all my older rechargeables . I bought this kit because I wanted to be able to charge / use AAA batteries as well as AAs . It's not entirely clear from the description how the C and D size adapters work . The items in the kit that look like C and D batteries are actually just cases , into which you put the AA size batteries for use . Given the high capacity of the AA batteries , they are presumably more than adequate to replace conventional C and D types . I really can't understand why anyone is still buying other types of rechargeable battery . There's no contest !
      • 005 4  I'm a gadget hound , and now that we have a Wii in the house , we go through a lot of batteries . I've tried quite a few different brands and types . These are the best , longest lasting batteries I've every tried - ever . They last longer than alkalines in my Wii remotes . They also have a shelf life when charged , so you can store them after you charge them and they will still have a charge when it's time to use them . I will never buy another type of rechargeable battery . These are great .
      • 006 4  I was always pro to buying rechargeable batteries since I have 5 years old and these days most toys are electrics that require AA or AAA batteries . I've been researching to buy another at least 8 AA rechargeable or more since our family just bought Nintendo wii as family christmas gift and heard that those wii remote and fit board is battery drainer . I came across eneloops in amazon and thought that they are nice set especially with the C and D adapters but the price was a little steep . Just a week ago , received the monthly coupon book from Costco and saw the same kit for [ . . . ] less that amazon and with coupon it's actually [ . . . ] . I practically ran to my parents house to grab another coupon that they had and bought two sets and am very happy . So far it's only been a week , so I don't really know the difference but since they do have the best reviews ( not so much with the set but with just AA 4 count or 8 count ) , I expect good experience . I like the fact that Sanyo batteries retain more energy than any other competing ones . As for the fact that results were tested less than 20 degree celcius makes sence in higher heat the electron in the batteries alignment becomes disholved in higher temperature . Here is a tip for your dying rechargeable batteries : One of my friend works for Samsung mobile phones and he told me that you could actually revive dying rechargeables up to 80 ~ 95% of it's capacity using this method . If your rechargeable batteries dying after some use , tight wrap them several times with saran wrap so that there could be no moist could get is ( this is actully very important part and if you don't wrapt them tightly , you could ruin the battery ) and put them in the freezer for 24 hours and the electrons in the batteries align back so that they do should work batter . I haven't tested them with the rechargeable AA or AAA but I did with cell phone and camera rechargeable batteries and got great results . If anyone has costco coupons use them right now . I think they are good until Dec 4 or 5 , 2008 and the price is unbeatalbe for eneloops or other brand of rechargeable batteries . March 10 , 2009 Afer using 4 months of using these batteries , I could say that I'm very satisfied with them . It does what is says and they don't retain 100% of the power but it does 80 ~ 90% since I recharge them right after they get drained from usage and maybe put them back to use a month or two afterwards and the power readers indicate that there is around 90% of energy .
      • 007 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) Let me just be candid about this . I purchased a few vibrators / toys and a friend suggested I buy rechargeable batteries - good idea . So I searched online , read all the comparisons , and Sanyo Eneloop reigns supreme . I have 3 vibrators that I use and they drain batteries quick , when they start to slow down I just pop the batteries into my charger and the next day the vibrators are going strong again . The pack is so good because it has the adapters which are perfect because vibrators use all different size batteries . It's been a year now , and these batteries are still going strong . This is a MUST for everyone who uses batteries . I honestly feel like anyone not using rechargeable batteries is doing a disservice to their budget and the environment . UPDATE : Geez guys , I'm just being forthcoming . I bought the batteries for my massagers and they work great . The batteries are long-lasting , the pack ( with the adapters ) allows you to use them for various objects - toys , remote control , so many things . I've updated this review and it's been a year and the batteries are going strong . I don't really know what else to say except for this power pack has saved me ALOT of cash . And there's the bonus of helping the environment .

      • 009 4  Been using these for over 9 months in our digital camera , my DiNotte bicycle lights , and even our universal remote . They work pretty much like every NiMH rechargeable except they hold their charge . Often our camera will sit for several weeks , the extra set of batteries still holds a good charge ( not noticeably different from a fresh charge ) . Even before we wore out the previous set of rechargeables you had to be sure to top them off before using the camera if they sat for more that a few days . As those wore out that problem only got worse . For the DiNotte lights I've been rotating three sets of the eneloop batteries and one set of generic rechargeables for about nine months of bicycle commuting . As the days have gotten longer the batteries sit for weeks or even a month before being rotated into use again . The eneloops last pretty much just as long as they do freshly charged , the generics around 25% less after having sat just as long . The eneloops in the remote last longer than the other set of rechargeables and after sitting for a month or so haven't lost any noticeable amount of charge . So for me they have done exactly what I expect . I haven't bothered using any of the C or D adapters . Not much uses those types in the house , only a few old flashlights that might sit for a year or more between uses ( pretty much only use newer , smaller , brighter , LED base flashlights now ) . Would have gladly bought the kit if they had been excluded . The only reason I didn't give them five stars is charging is really slow . If I run the batteries all the way down in the DiNotte lights I need to put them in the charger right away when I get home for them to be ready the next day . Since I've spent a bit more on these batteries I've only used Sanyo's included charger which is slow . I'm guessing either they are playing it safe to maximize the life of the batteries , or their chemistry is more sensitive to the damage fast charger cause . For me holding a charge longer is more important than fast charging . If you want fast charging buy some cheap generic rechargables and a good fast charger . These aren't the batteries you are looking for . Instead if you need rechargeables that will hold their charge over extended periods of time and don't need fast charging then eneloops are a good bet .
      • 010 4  We purhased the eneloop batteries over 6 months ago , and have had no complaints . Other NiCad Batteries we own are Duracell , Energizer , and the Harbor Freight Brand . We mostly use the rechargable for the Wii remote . Out all brands we own , the eneloop seem to be the most reliable and hold a good charge . The charger is slow and to me is a plus . We have the duracell rapid charger , and one of those batteries stopped working and seems to weaken the life of the cell . The eneloop charger has shown consistent results . I haven't used the C and D adapters yet but it is good to know they are there if we need them in a pinch .
      • 011 4  I was looking for some rechargeable C batteries to use in my shower radio , which eats up batteries like there's no tomorrow . After looking at NiMH batteries in C size on Amazon , I stumbled upon this pack with its four AA - - > C adapters , and I'm glad I did . First of all , they perform wonderfully . The AA eneloops in the C shells last at least twice as long in the radio as the alkaline C's that I was having to buy en masse to keep the tunes playing . Plus , if I want to use the AA's for something else , I have the flexibility to do take them out of the adapters so I'm not stuck with C batteries if I later have no use for them . On the negative side , the AA's don't snap into the C adapters quite like I was expecting , they just slide into the middle of the shell and sit there , but it's a small quibble . My only other gripe is that the charger that comes with this pack must charge two or four batteries at a time , so if you have only one dead cell you're out of luck . But otherwise , I'm totally satisfied , I'll never go back to throw-away batteries !
      • 012 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) I bought the silver and orange Sony rechargeable batteries and charger from Amazon for my Fuji A350 last year , but never could depend on them . Even after sitting and charging overnight I never could take more than 12 to 18 pictures before the batteries died . And , after two days or so , just sitting and not being used at all , they died completely . I even bought a new Sony charger , but that didn't change anything . I burned up many standard AA alkaline batteries while owning over $65.00 worth of rechargeable crap that didn't work . I bought my wife a Canon Powershot S5 IS camera for her birthday last September , along with the Canon Battery and Charger Kit ( CBK4 - 300 ) , and several lenses . But even those batteries were not reliable , and my wife takes a lot of pictures and video . So , I came across the reviews on the Sanyo Eneloop Power Pack and Charger Kit , and purchased that in mid-October of last year . Tonight , for the first time , I had to put four new , unused Sanyo Eneloop batteries into her camera while I'm charging the first four that went into her camera almost three months , 500 + pictures , and about two hours worth of video ago . Fantastic , amazing , incredible , etc . . . . Pick your choice of words . They really work , and keep on working after all other rechargeable batteries that I've tried fail miserably .

      • 014 4  This is my first experience with rechargeable AA / AAA batteries , and I am definitely not disappointed with my choice . I researched for quite a while before making a purchase and finally decided on this kit . I did not want to spend a fortune , but I wanted a good / decent charger and a good number of batteries . This kit fit those requirements perfectly . This is a good value for all you receive with it . I just purchased a new digital camera and it uses regular AA batteries , instead of a battery pack - - another first for me . Between the new camera and my Wiimote's , I knew it was time to finally buy rechargeable batteries . After reading that most rechargeable batteries end up losing their charge as they sit unused in devices , and that these batteries by Sanyo were much better in that regard - - I was sold . My camera use and Wiimote use can be very sporadic , and I did not want to find myself in a situation where if a device sat unused for a long period of time , I'd turn it on only to find dead batteries . Sanyo has this covered !
      • 015 4  You will almost never have to buy batteries again other than 9 volt ( square type ) . Easy to use & they work very well . Use them for toys , remotes , stereos , etc . The charge takes a while ( several hours ) , but worth the wait . Also the batteries hold their charge for many months , while not in use . I would highly recommend to friends & family . They are also great for the environment .

I didn't really need the C adapters , but for the price I was not going to purchase 2 of the SANYO SEC-NCSTG-D2AA ENELOOP SPACER PACKS ( INCLUDES 2 AA WITH 2 D-SIZE SPACERS ) when I could get this set for $28 . Even if you don't need the adapters its a good deal . 8 AAs alone would cost you in the neighborhood of $22 : Sanyo Eneloop 8 Pack AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries If you can buy this set for under $30 it's a pretty good deal considering the adapters and 8 AAs would cost ( if purchased separately ) $40 or more . Plus you get 2 AAAs and a mediocre charger . Highly recomended !

      • 018 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) If you need a lot of batteries , you can't go wrong with this product . For me , it was the birth of my baby boy and in came the swings , gliders , bouncers , etc . The one drawback I was expecting these batteries to have was the duration of power , but so far I have been impressed . I will have to update the crowd if this holds true after the first recharge though . Also , I had read not too long ago that battery companies have been swindling us for years by making AA , C , D , etc . batteries when all of them deliver the same power . I am thankful for the C and D converters which allow me to stock a single type ( AA ) of battery for all my needs , which means I have less extra batteries hanging around for no reason . I can't speak for durability yet , since I haven't owned them long enough . The C & D converters seem a bit flimsy but I am usually careful with my stuff so that shouldn't be a problem . P.S . These batteries seem to have stolen the energizer bunny .

      • 020 4  I've watched batteries go from Carbon to HD Carbon to Alkaline to NI-Cad to MiMH to Eneloops & Li-ions . . . Each step better than the last , Alkilines gave us more power but were one time use , Ni-Cads gave us power and multi-use but had memory problems , NiMH gave us power , multi-use , no memry problems but lost power while being stored . . . then came the Eneloop & Litium Ion batteries . . . power , multi-use , no memory and shelf life ! ! ! The hybrid Enloop NiMH is the winner until the cost of Lithiums come down ( try to find Lithium AAA , AA , C & D batteries ) , one advantage Lithium Ions have over the Enloop is there is no Fade towards the end of discharge which means you get full power up till the end at that point the cell is dead until you recharge . As far as people complaning about the spacers not being real batteries or WARNING - No C or D batteries included ! . . . like most of them own up to , it's their fault , not Sanyo or the seller . If they don't take the time to read the details , common sense should have told them you are not going to get 18 Enloop batteries for $32.99 especially if that includes 8 C & D cells . ( When 4 single Enelopp AAs are currently being sold for $9 to $15 ) I'm not trying to be rude , but buy your stuff at a brick & mortar to see it in person if you are not going to do a little comparison research before hitting the Submit Order Button . Eneloops are the current best value . . . period .
      • 021 4  I bought these on the promise of a better rechargeable battery and they deliver . I have always been frustrated with rechargeable batteries because once they're charged they only hold the charge for a short period of time if not used . I'd put them in my camera , pick it up a week later and the batteries were dead . When used they just could compare to a regular alkaline battery in terms of a usable charge . I have had few occasions where I felt like rechargeable batteries really were beneficial over alkaline . These batteries deliver . I recently bought a radio off Amazon and wanted to get some batteries to go with it . These batteries were recommended . I knew what I was getting in terms of the number of AA and AAA batters and C / D adapters . . . no surprises . I was a slightly skeptical that an AA size battery could carry the load of a C or D battery but I'm pleasantly surprised to find that these can with no problem . I threw 4 of these into my new radio with the C adapters and they performed superbly . I ran the radio for over a week and the battery meter never dropped a bar . I've got another set in my digital camera as well and they're still going strong . I'm looking forward to having expanded opportunities to use these in other applications .

They have a great variety of batteries in one package that no one else offers . I have 3 kids and lots of electronics and toys that eat batteries like crazy and I was sick of throwing away money on batteries all the time . These batteries take about 7 hours to fully charge . The charger blinks when the batteries are charging and stop blinking to let you know when they are charged which is nice . I have a newborn swing that requires D batteries and what I think is the collest thing about this package is that all you do is take one AA battery and stick it in the included adapters and it becomes a D battery ! This package does not include any D or C batteries so don't get confused ! It just includes the adapters that you stick charged AA batteries in . The only thing about using a AA battery for this is that they don't last as long , I have to change them every 2 days for my sons swing but it's much better than buying new batteries every few weeks . They are also great for my other sons leapster , Wii remotes , and other toys and electronics that require frequent battery changes . So stop throwing away money and go with these rechargeable batteries ! GREAT BUY

We have used 4 AA batteries with two D cell adapters to operate a radio with no loss of power or loss of reception . The batteries ran the radio for quite a while before they needed to be recharged . The recharging time was a few hours but this was not a problem as the pack comes with 8 AA batteries . The pack is a good price as I have seen kits that come with only the recharger and 2 AA batteries for the same price as the entire Sanyo Eneloop kit . The batteries did come charged and ready for use . Only time will tell whether the batteries can be recharged 1000 times but all prior testing says it is so , and even if the batteries recharge only 500 times , that is still better than throwing away that many batteries !

Battery has good shelf life . Love that for my speedlight which I don't use all that much . Also has very good capacity . Lasts for dozens of shots , though the power used with each flash of today's advanced speedlights depends on so many factors , the number of shots will vary for your conditions . Also used in a variety of other items like Wii remotes and small toys . All great . Charger is nice and compact . Charges fairly rapidly - don't have to leave in overnight . Charges in pairs . See NLee's thorough reviews for comments on that . Adaptor system is more a gimmick than utilitarian . It will probably do in a pinch , but I don't plan on using it much . ( BTW , it's pretty clear in the title and description that C & D cells are adaptors , but here's a note to highlight to those who haven't realized this yet with this product . )

I figured that 4 pairs of charged batteries should last the trip . As it turns out 1 pair lasted the whole trip and took over 300 photos . I've also shown those photos many times ( to several bored relatives ) on the camera's LCD panel without refreshing the batteries . They have FAR exceeded my most optimistic hope .

      • 036 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) PROS : I use this on everything I possibly can ( Wii , TV , and DVD remotes , flashlights , walkie talkies , bicycle lights , MP3 players , flashes , wireless mouse & keyboard , etc . Reusable and saves you money vs . buying alkaline batteries . These batteries also last a lot longer in storage than regular NiMH . CONS : They are just slightly larger than regular alkaline batteries . In very rare cases , they might not fit in your device . Out of all the things I have tried , I have found 1 thing they do not fit in ( DirecTV DVR remote ) . Also , they only output 1.2V . Most electronic devices have voltage regulators ( which can bring the voltage up to 1.5V ) in them so it doesn't matter . But in devices without voltage regulators , you might experience lower performance . Examples include a flashlight / headlamp looking dimmer or maybe your MP3 player / electronic gadget might say low battery even though it still works for a very long time . The MP3 player / electronic device might not last as long or say low battery because the voltage might be too low for the device indicator even though it still has power .

They hold there charge for a long time and provide ample power for my camera gear . I have used the C and D adapters a few times , but the life from the eneloops seems a little shorter than true C or D alkaline batteries . But for AA and AAA applications , they work well beyond expectations . Especially in flash units and motor drives for my 35mm cameras . I doubt you will be disappointed with these batteries .

I decided to try this kit and here are my pros and cons : Pros : 1 . The C & D adapters are much better than the LaCrosse . They are one-piece and work flawlessly . 2 . The charger is simple - two options : charging and complete - no-brainer . 3 . Number of cells and adapters are plentiful and meet my needs . Cons : Probably due to my unreasonable expectation . . . using the AA batteries in the D adapters gives you about 1 / 2 the normal life of a standard Alkaline D cell . It's important to know this as you will need to recharge them more often than you would need to replace the Alkaline cells . This is fine as it's the concept behind the rechargeable systems . I'm not an engineer like the guy who comments on many of these reviews . . . so I don't know what the milliamps or the voltages are in comparison to standard batteries but I have to guess that simply based on size , a rechargeable AA battery in a D adapter is simply not going to last as long as a standard D cell . I recommend buying this kit . . . works for me .

      • 054 4  I've always been a fan of rechargeable batteries . . . every since I was a kid . It just seemed like a great idea which saves money , waste , and time . Old rechargeable battery technology suffered from a myriad of problems including the memory effect , few recharge cycles , and fast battery depletion ( even while not in use ) . The great thing is that all of these issues have since been addressed . I'm not saying that they're 100 percent fixed . . . but rather that they are no longer big issues . These new Eneloop batteries use hybrid rechargeable technology , which means that they will not drain like older rechargeable batteries do . The regular Nimh batteries drain quickly . . . even when they are just sitting around in a drawer . These Eneloop batteries have a very slow drain rate , so that even if they're sitting around within a whole year , they're still about 80% to 90% charged . Here are some pros and cons about this battery bundle : Pros : - Great Value for this amount of batteries , adapters , and charger . - These batteries are among the best modern rechargeable batteries money can buy . . . quality wise . - Charger takes AA and AAA batteries . Cons : - The charger will only charge batteries in pairs . Some chargers let you charge single individual batteries . Conclusion : This is a great kit to have for anybody who uses lots of batteries . The Battery Charger will charge any type of Nimh rechargeable battery , including batteries from other brands . Using rechargeable batteries is a great way to start Going Green , and each battery can be recharged about a 1000 times . Just imagine how much less waste there would be if everyone used rechargeables instead of disposable one-time use batteries .

These perform as good as Japanese 2650mah Duracells . Even in cameras that don't like rechargeable batteries , these read full power and last 2X longer than a quality alkaline . The batteries I received were Japanese AA 2000mah dated 2009 and AAA 800mah dated 2008 . They arrived charged and ready to go ! They appear to be the exact same battery as the Duracell . The charger requires you charge them in pairs . This is a generic Chinese charger sold under several brand names . The contacts are a bit flimsy , but I never had one break . Charge time is roughly 7 hours , and they read about 1.4VDC when fully charged and 1.1VDC when exhausted . They have no problem with my 1 hour fast chargers from Duracell , Energizer and Kodak . The C & D cell adapters work fine . Of course , a AA just can't deliver the power of the larger battery and they die about 3X faster than the appropriate alkaline . Still , they come in very handy ! You get 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries . . . no C & D batteries at this low price ! The batteries and adapters are a smidge bigger than alkaline batteries , so you may have trouble inserting them in some products ( Mini Maglite for instance ) .

      • 061 4  Rarely do you find that the right thing to do has no compromise and saves you money . Stopping the use of batteries in our toy filled house was not an easy thing for the kids to do . However , we are eliminating all batteries as they die and replacing them with these recharageables . We have been running test in various types of toys with great results . I can't tell you how many recharges they can take before their life between charges becomes frustrating , but I can tell you at only double the cost of good Duracells , I only have to get three or so cycles to break even . I m sure we'll get 5 or 6 , maybe many more .

Start by reducing waste with non-rechargeable batteries . I bought this rechargeable battery set because I use a lot of batteries , including in my wireless keyboard . They are easy to recharge and keep their energy for a long time . The con to this set is with the use of AA or AAA batteries to make a C or D battery . When I got the set I found the plastic adapter for C and D batteries to be very weak . A couple were already broken . I like the batteries , but I would recommend buying only the AA and AAA batteries for small electronic devices .

The other objects in the picture are only spacers

Huge improvement in battery life over alkalines ! We use them to geocache in our flashlights and our DeLorme PN - 40 gpsr . Would purchase again .

They keep a charge when not in use , and last quite an above-average amount of time in continuous use .
      • 074 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) I have used the Eneloop batteries in the past and find them to work very well . Package came as described . You can sometimes find them at Costco for a bit cheaper , but they are getting harder to find now . I haven't tried the C and D sized spacers , but the charger and batteries work great .

It was well worth it and I definitely plan on buying enough batteries for everything I own .
      • 078 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) These are great rechargeable batteries , they don't have quite as much total power as some others on the market but they don't self-discharge so it's likely when you pick up your camera flash 3 months from now these will still have way more power than the more power than other rechargeables that self-discharge over time . The little C / D battery adapters seems silly , never used them , it by more helpful if they came with a case to hold the 4 AA's when not in use or in the charger . Packaging is ridiculously wasteful . . . it's just as pictured , but keep in mind that means this big awkward board gets shipping in an even bigger box . . .

      • 080 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) I'm glad I purchased these batteries and stopped the cycle of continuously buying batteries ( that had to be properly disposed of ) for remotes , flashes and toys . I also purchased the kit which contains adapters ( to be used as C and D batteries ) and a recharger . The batteries do take a while to charge , but they hold their charge for a long period . When used with my flash they also enable the flash to recharge quickly so I am able to take many pictures using the flash more quickly than I can with other batteries I have used . I also have found that although I don't have to use the adapters often , it is convenient to have them so that I don't have to get a pack of C or D batteries for occasional use .

I never expected it would take so long to charge , AND that they came with a full charge ! I've read great reviews about their battery life , and so far , they are dead on !
      • 084 4  I've gone through several different rechargeable brands for at least the past 10 years and these are by far the highest quality batteries I've ever used . They are perfect for rarely used items that may sit for weeks at a time , or those items that are used daily . I have only used the C and D inserts once . You really need to purchase a lot more AA batteries to make those worth your while .

I have not been required to use the adapters for other sizes besides the AA and AAA , so this is another part to wait to see if it actually works . . . I thought there was a power reason for electrical devices to require another kind of battery besides the size of it . . . maybe voltage , I don't know . . . ( and don't care actually , ja ! )

      • 089 4  The Eneloop rechargeabe batteries are the best , this pack is all you needed , it has AA , AAA batteries , a Eneloop charger , and also comes with C and D size adapters , the price is right , free shipping makes even better , good deal .
      • 090 4  I initially bought this Eneloop pack at Costco . I have since switched to Eneloop for all my battery neeeds and am very pleased with their long charge life both in devices and in the drawer waiting to be used . They've been using the batteries for 6 weeks and haven't had to recharge them yet . Needless to say they are very pleased , and so am I .
      • 093 4  those C and D adapters will save you big bucks ! u may even use your reg AA batt to pwr those adptrs . . . c & D batt have become prohibitively expensive .

These are LR03 1.2V batteries not HR03 1.5V batteries . That said most of the products out there require a HR03 1.5V AA batteries rating . What this means is that the LR03 1.2V batteries ( which these are ) will work but the will not power your electronics to its full potential in addition they will loose power much faster than the HR03 1.5V AA rated batteries . Not all AAA , AA etc batteries are the same in terms of voltage they are only the same in terms of size . Before fore warned and don't get burned like I did !

      • 100 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) I love Eneloop batteries because they last forever and hold a great charge , but this set doesn't come with C and D * batteries * , per se - it comes with these casing things that your AA battery fits into , which then fit into a C or D slot . While this is fine , I thought that the product copy was a little misleading and I thought I was getting real rechargeable C and D batteries . This is purely an FYI for those who might be left wondering exactly what you'll get with this set .

      • 103 4  If all you need is AA or AAA batteries , these will fit the bill . However , as another reviewer mentioned , the C and D's are just adapters ! I knew this before I purchased them but thought Sanyo would have had the intellegence to put multiple AA's or AAA's into the C and D adapters to increase the Amp Hour capacity to that of a normal C or D battery ! These adapters only allow a single AA battery to be inserted so when using them in a devive that requires C's or D's , they fall flat on their face ! I really needed the C's and D's for my son's toys and thought this package would have done the trick . Thinking that they were smart enough to use multiple cells in the adapters , I purchased 3 packages . What a waste of money ! Anyone need a LOT of AA's ? ? ?

      • 106 4  This review is from : Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger , 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter ( CostCo Kit #2 ) ( Battery ) I was really disappointed that the C and D's were only adapters . Sure , my bad , but it certainly isn't called out . And , as another reviewer stated , you can only stick one AA in the adapter so they're really worthless .

      • 109 4  Buyer beware ! ! Be aware that you are buying ten batteries not eighteen . Their choice of the word adaptor can lead one to believe that this is a charging adaptor , when in fact it is a spacer or sleeve for C and D size batteries . Be careful from which company you puchase , also . The company I bought from , TechNGnet , has an extremely severe return policy . In short it would cost me more to return a bad product than to keep it . The product page needs to reflect that these C and D spacers , sleeves are spacers not batteries . A side-view photo would help .
      • 110 4  CAUTION ! ! This product is not all it is advertised to be . You must read how the advertisement is structured . All the batteries or casings shown are not actually batteries . Only the 8 AA s and the 2 AAA s are real batteries . The C and D batteries are just shells . For a total price of $44 ( includes shipping ) you can purchase many more batteries than included in this price . Again read the advertisement carefully .
