Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200-pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 Memory Module

  • 030 4  Probably the easiest performance booster for the Acer Aspire One netbook . Replace the stock 1Gb with this stick of 2GB ram provides an ample boost with noticble gains in performance . I can now open applications faster and have multiple windows open without slowing down my netbook . The netbook seems to start up fairly faster as well . I tried out some photo editing softwares , such as Lightroom , on my netbook before and after the upgrade and performance increase was noticble . Took me less than 5 minutes to unscrew and pop out the small tab at the bottom , pop out the old ram , insert and lock new ram into place , replace tab and screw and reboot . Easy !
    • 040 4  I bought the slower version ( 667 mhz ) , which did not work in my Acer Aspire One netbook ; so I purchased this slightly faster version ( 800 mhz ) , which also did not work initially . Then , I figured out that in hibernate mode the computer would not recognize the new memory , so be sure to shut down Windows completely from the Start button rather than hibernate or standby by closing the lid , when installing . When I did that , this 2 gb memory installed in a jiffy . And it peps up the netbook , so I recommend it .
    • 124 4  This replacement card was an easy task to install . One small screw holds the cover in place and is easily removed . I just pulled out the card that came with the netbook and slid in the replacement . One needs to be careful of static electricity when handling the card . A wrist strap would be a good safety item .
    • 131 4  Fast shipping , easy put into the laptop , works well and as expected , so no complains so far . I would recommend it
    • 133 4  This is a real plus . I purchased to upgrade the Samsung Netbook I purchased for my husband . Highly recommended
    • 143 4  I bought this to upgrade the memory in my Samsung Go netbook and it worked perfectly !
    • 164 4  I upgraded my Aspire 4730z , and it worked great . It took a couple of tries - - at first , my computer wouldn't even turn on , so I had to remove it and put the old ones back , and switch it off and on before it recognized it .
    • 182 4  It came very quickly . It was super easy to install . I don't know that I notice a huge difference in speep but I am a terrible multi tasker and I am probably asking too much for my little netbook .
    • 192 4  I decided to upgrade my netbook to the new Windows 7 and so decided I should probably have 2 gigs of memory instead of the 1 gig that was preinstalled . Took out the battery , grounded myself ( important ! ) , unscrewed the memory cover , popped out the old memory , stuck in the new and was done in about two minutes . Computer recognized the memory right away and my computer has been running like a charm . The only warning I would have about installation-and it has to do with the computer and not the memory card-be careful when unscrewing the memory cover so that you don't strip the tiny screw heads . Great product !
    • 194 4  I purchased this to increase the ram in my samsung nc10 netbook . It was a great price . It installed easily . The computer recognized it immediatley . Don't know if it increased the performance of the netbook because I added it on day one . Netbook runs great with it installed .
    • 209 4  I have bought this card from [ . . . ] , i installed it , but had to press f2 for it to recognize . After that , i didnt notice much difference in speed . . .
    • 227 4  I bought this memory to upgrade my EeePC 1001P and it created nothing but troubles . Chronologicall , this is what happened : 1 . Started to freeze during the shut down process . 2 . The screen started to jumble , especially when I went from battery mode to AC mode . 3 . Computer was not any faster than the original 1GB , if not slower . 4 . Finally wouldn't even start . Called the Asus tech support , did BIOS default start and I changed back to the original 1GB RAM . It's been working fine since . 5 . In the process of returning this RAM . So hope this helps and saves trouble of other 1001P owners experiencing the same problem . I read somewhere on a blog that another person with 1001P experienced similar problems as I did after he upgraded to 2GB .
    • 231 4  While adding memory always makes your pc go faster the only thing I would have liked to have known before purchase was whether it had a buffer or not . Not having a buffer makes a difference in the way memory operates and in price .

  • 031 4  Hi , I just bought a new Asus Eee PC ( 1005HA-P , with BT and the N270 processor , etc . ) , and I just love it . . . In case anyone is wondering , and to avoid further confusion about memory upgrades for it , THIS is the SODIMM module ( 800Mhz ) that comes installed in this laptop . The data bus speed of the motherboard is 667Mhz , and the 667Mhz speed memory will work too , but . . . It's the 800Mhz SODIMM that comes PRE-INSTALLED FROM ASUS . My box was factory sealed . I hope this helps . - DOC -
    • 110 4  Ease of installation will vary by the brand of computer . I have a Dell Vostro 1500 , and it required a moderate skill level to install . Follow the manual that came with your computer . If you don't have it , download then print applicable pages , since you have to turn your computer off to install RAM . Computer is MUCH faster with the additional RAM . Graphics programs especially benefit , as does audio editing ( I use Audacity ) . Very glad I upgraded my RAM . .
    • 154 4  Does what it's supposed to . Installed in about 90 seconds in my ASUS Eee Netbook ( 1005 - HA ) and once I booted it up ( holding F2 ) , the BIOS recognized it and the computer booted normally . Speed increase noticed even when not running multiple applications . Buy when the price is down and be happy going with a brand-name RAM component instead of generic . . your computer deserves it !
    • 178 4  Installing this memory into my new ASUS 1005HA-P was a breeze ! I simply removed the screws , took out the old one , and put this new one in it's place .

  • 036 4  The Crucial Memory ' stick ' worked fine on the Intel Apple Imac and increased its speed and efficiency . The service from Crucial was excellent apart from one of their abrupt employees re an email . I had to go indirectly and use Amazon and not the direct approach to the Crucial Sales Company . I advise everyone to do the same . Use Amazon . wilcobb
    • 038 4  Installed and updated the memory that come with the machine with this one . There is no issue , faster windows boot up time and application opening with multiple windows . Use on Dell mini 1012 with intel Atom n450 .

  • 052 4  A good value at Amazon . Anyone who buys a netbook will need this memory . If you are not well versed in computers you may not notice that most or all netbooks require all of the existing 1G memory that a netbook ships with just to run the basic features . Mine could barely run a program . Swapped out the memory to this 2GB and all if well . They must get the 1GB chips for free from the mempry chip syndicate ! Good day .
    • 089 4  Purchased and installed in a brand new Samsung NC10 - 14GB , increased the speed dramatically - very pleased . Would definately recommend as an inexpensive update to your netbook . Just unscrew the back where memory is indicated and replace the 1GB with a 2GB .
    • 139 4  Really easy to install . I have limited computer experience , but I can't tell there was much difference after upgrading from a 1GB notebook with this 2GB product . There have been no problems with the product .
    • 156 4  Got this memory module for my Samsung N120 Netbook . Installation was super easy , just removed the memory cover , popped-off the original 1MB memory module , replaced it with this one , powered it up and it is automatically recognized and working . Cannot be any easier .
    • 158 4  Matter of snapping in the chip in the bottom compartment secured by one screw . 1G upgraded to 2GB , max allowed for the NC10 netbook .
    • 176 4  The product arrived quickly and worked great in my Samsung NC - 10 netbook . Crucial is well known and Amazon has excellent prices and service . I'd definitely shop here again . [ . . . ]
    • 229 4  fairly easy to install . make sure you use a credit card to get the bottom piece off your netbook as to not break the clips . the how to videos for this are plentiful on youtube and i did this with virtually no problems at all . you will need a micro screw driver to get those little screws out though . i'd recommend this for sure

  • 053 4  Worked great . Honestly I can't wait until companies stop using the press and seal type of plastic packaging that you have to work hard to open . RAM is great . My Dell Mini 10V is significantly quicker now . Installation was sort of a challenge , due entirely to how the Mini 10 v is designed . It makes you disassemble a large amount of the computer to get at the single RAM slot . Fortunately I found an awesome walkthrough that helps with that .
    • 087 4  Great value ! I have bought RAM from Crucial before and have never had a problem . This installed quickly and easily ( kudos to Apple Computers ) . I priced this direct from Apple's site at $300 and paid only $45 here !
    • 127 4  great ram , good quality , only complaint I have is the price . . . a little steep considering a 1gig stick is only $15 . Just wish my notebook had 2 slots for ram like the MSI U100 instead of one like this Toshiba NB205 . Chucked the 1gig OEM ram ( such a waste ) and installed this one with ease . Overall good product
    • 225 4  I bought two of these to upgrade the RAM in my iMac . Had some issues at first , but after pulling out each stick and ensuring that it was fully seated , it works great . Much cheaper than RAM purchased from Apple .
    • 236 4  A fine product I'm sure , but it is NOT for the Samsung N310 . Just go to the Crucial website and you can easily find out which RAM is appropriate ( and more importantly , guaranteed ) for your computer .

  • 065 4  Believe me when I say If I can do it , ANYONE can ! I am a complete technical idiot - especially anything having to do with computers . The directions to install this were so easy that I was able to install it myself without any sort of assistance whatsoever , and I got it right the first time . While the tech generation takes things like this for granted and installation of these types of things are a no-brainer for them , it is not so for my generation ( mid - 40s ) . I was a bit hesitant at first , but I refuse to be one of those people who is scared to try anything that intimidates me a bit . I am really glad I did . I installed this in my new Toshiba mini and it works great !
    • 201 4  A little hard to get out of the packaging . I was worried I would damage it because I had to bend the packaging .
    • 235 4  two week ago I bought Asus EeePC 1005HA . Last week I ordered the 2GB 800 Mhz memory and received it . Today , I replaced the 1 GB with 2GB without any problem . It took me about 10 minutes or so . . After I installed the new 2GB , turned on the computer , it still shows .99 GB of RAM under My Computer in System information . I even reinstalled the memory . It still shows , .99 GB of RAM ( I turned off and restarted the netbook , still no change . AM I SUPPOSE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE ? I thought the system should detect the updated memory ? ? ANY SUGGESTION ? THANKS .

  • 083 4  I bought this a month ago to go with my newly purchased Asus Eee netbook . Installed it in less than 10 minutes . Works great with the netbook and definitely has benefited my netbook , which I can now use just like a regular full laptop by watching Hulu videos and downloading work documents . Even a virus scan in the background doesn't disturb my workflow . Definitely a good buy !
    • 055 4  All I can say is that this is good reliable ram coming from reputable manufacture , had it for five months now and now issues .
    • 069 4  Works as advertised and improves the performance of my Dell mini9 . A value & I recommend .
    • 093 4  Easy to install once I accessed the manual on line , but the Toshiba netbook would not recognize the upgraded memory . Had to replace the orginal .
    • 120 4  Worked great in my Netbook . Easy install and difinitely improved performance . I certainly recommend it .
    • 174 4  I didn't have any problems installing it and noticed a lot less lag in my system . I'm glad I bought it !

  • 084 4  I've built my own computers , upgraded , and replaced ram in laptops , so I knew what I was doing . If you don't know what you are doing , look up tutorials with corresponding picture or video . To be clear from the start , I've done no in depth testing of the ram for performance only functionality . I used this to replace the standard 1 gig in my new Windows XP Samsung N110 , it immediately registered on the first boot with no problems . Personally , I don't know why netbooks don't come with 2 gigs standard . I occasionally get some lag hiccups , but that is due to my use of the netbook almost as a normal laptop . But regularly run open office and chrome on multiple webpages including facebook and gmail using their respective chat programs . In the end , it says it is a 2 gig stick of memory and that is what it is . I don't know why reviewers are saying that same statement and giving it 4 stars . I'm not brand loyal and not commenting on the price . As an intelligent shopper you should search for the best deal , this review is purely saying the ram is what it says it is and works .
    • 013 4  I bought this RAM module along with the ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10.1 - Inch Blue Netbook - 9.5 Hour Battery Life . I installed it before even starting up the netbook . It was recognized by the system , no need to adjust the BIOS or any settings , and seems to work just fine . I'm glad I upgraded my new netbook to 2 GB RAM right away . It's not at all hard to change the RAM modules , I'm no techie and if I can do it anybody can . These days you can find instructions online , even if you don't have a tech-savvy person in your life to ask how to do it . I found specific how-to videos on YouTube demonstrating upgrades of RAM on specific makes and models of computers . I cut my teeth , so to speak , recently by upgrading the RAM in a 2 year old notebook PC , and now I wish I hadn't waited so long or been so intimidated at the thought of doing it .
    • 048 4  It took about 10 seconds to remove the old Module and insert the new one ! ! ! Very easy to do and I now have much more speed while I surf the web and listen to videos , etc . I love my old laptop again ! ! ! I feel the price was good and it was very well packed for shipping . No problems , just positive experience ! ! Since it's so easy to add memory , I'm going to start adding to my netbook and my desktop too ! ! !
    • 096 4  Mine installed and worked fine in my Samsung N150 netbook . My issue is whether the performance increase is real , or at least justifiable . The Windows 7 performance testing tool increased my score from a 4.3 to a 4.6 , but in real life applications , I can't realize that much of a difference . Does anyone have any real benchmark comparisons ? I run Vuze , and either with 1GB or 2GB of RAM , it still is slow as heck and cramps up any other programs to a stall , even something as small as running Windows Explorer . I know that netbooks are not meant for power programs , but I thought an extra 1GB of RAM would help a little . I do not see any real performance increase to justify the $60 price .
    • 219 4  I have had zero issues since adding this to my studio 1735 . Computer runs great and flies now . I also added the 64 - bit Windows 7 RC and everything has been super smooth . I think it runs a little bit hotter , this is to be expected as RAM does run pretty hot , but have had zero issues since I use a chill pad for the bottom of my laptop .

  • 112 4  Plugged right into the EEE PC . Bit of a challenge due to the tight space Asus supplies . But once in Windows 7 reports 2G & everything is working .
    • 108 4  Smoother computing with 2G RAM ! G-Force and White Cap ( by SoundSpectrum for Windows Media Player ) screensavers work beautifully !
    • 118 4  Placed this in a Samsung Netbook 130 . Recognized immediately and no problems whatsoever , but didn't do much for the speed of the computer .

  • 126 4  Purchased for my ASUS eeePC 1001P netbook . After dealing with the BIOS to get it to recognize the memory , the machine booted fine . Everything seemed ok at first , but the problem occurs on shutdown in battery mode . Windows will shut all the way down , however the power lights on the netbook are still on . This does not occur in AC mode nor does it occur with the OEM ASUS 1GCB stick . After some research both here on Amazon and on google this is a recurring problem with Crucial memory and ASUS netbooks . ASUS owners need to look elsewhere , preferably a Hynix brand stick , which is recommended by ASUS . Purchase a Hynix instead and it is working 100% .
    • 004 4  I bought this to upgrade RAM in my brand-new eee PC 1005HA . It wasn't the same exact part number as Crucial Technology came up with when I checked compatibility on their website , but all the specs seemed the same , so I chanced it . It was easy to install , and everything is working fine , with twice the RAM at a very reasonable price .
    • 081 4  I upgraded my Asus EeePC 1000HE with this memory and immediately noticed improved speed with even simple tasks like web browsing . It was very easy to install and I followed the instructions posted here for accessing the Bios at startup so it would recognize the new chip . This is a very cheap way to upgrade an already excellent netbook to maximize performance . It also allowed me to play with overclocking the 1000HE , which has resulted in even better performance .
    • 213 4  This is the RAM that Crucial recommends for the eee PC 1005HA . It was very easy to install . Prior to installation , I saw some minor lag when switching between Internet Explorer and Office applications . It wasn't bad , but it was annoying . Since installing the additional RAM , I have not seen any lag whatesoever . The RAM is cheap and works well . That makes it a no brainer in my opinion . I highly recommend it .

  • 135 4  As established by the other reviews , Crucial memory just works . I got my memory for an ASUS Eee PC 1101HA-MU1X-BK 11.6 - Inch Black Netbook - 11 Hour Battery Life . This computer normally runs at 1.33 Ghz , but has an overclocking option for when you want to heat your house with it . Based on what I had read before purchase , this ASUS was very picky about which expanded memory it would support in overclocked mode . As far as I can tell , the 1101HA appears to accept this memory in overclocked mode . Since I am quite happy with 1.33 Ghz , the only time I used overclocked mode is to see if overclocked mode works .
    • 073 4  I bought this module for my ASUS Eee PC netbook . Installation was quick and easy , and I immediately noticed an improvement in applications that benefit from more RAM .
    • 077 4  Great option to upgrade your Asus Eee PC netbook . Worked fine no problems just took 20 seconds to pop in and go .
    • 116 4  easy to install , computer recognized on first try , no problems after a month of use . recommend highly , installed in ASUS EEE PC Atom 450 , the new red one .
    • 141 4  Simple and easy to install - - just read and follow the directions and have a soft set of hands !
    • 190 4  If you use many different computers in the course of a day , then , possibly when you scale down to your cafe-cozy netbook , it always seems slower . I definitely feel better about having multiple applications on the pc so that helps ! If you don't know what your are doing , see youtube or find your PC hardware smarts friend . For me , that was a great relief !

  • 148 4  Upgraded Asus Eee 1000H with this stick . So far everything works normally , I have not seen any huge performance differences , but it is clear that the additional memory allows the computer to multitask easier and play video a little better . Unfortunately there is nothing one can do about the Atom processor , which is the most likely reason for poor performance . However that is the trade off we make for portability . I would imagine that Intel will improve upon the Atom in time .
    • 098 4  Installed the memory in my Toshiba netbook and it definitely improved the performance of Window 7 starter edition .
    • 129 4  Upgraded an eMach netbook that came with a 1gb Dimm . Spec called for 533 / 667 Dimms . This Crucial seem to cover all three speeds . Partitioned the drive and now have a dual boot Win7 & Ubuntu netbook . Both systems preform better with the extra Gig of ram
    • 146 4  This was money very well spent . Better price than purchasing the same memory from Crucial direct and a very noticeable improvement in performance of my netbook .
    • 206 4  Installed in my computer empty mem slot and kept the 1gb , giving me 3 total . Worked great . Too bad Microsoft has to weigh our systems down so much that it is required .

  • 186 4  I got this 2BG memory module for my new Samsung NC10 - 14GB 10.2 - Inch Blue Netbook even though it is not the one that Amazon suggested when I ordered my notebook . I just want to say that it works great but was tricky for me to install ( this was the first time I ever installed memory ) . Two parts of the installation were tricky for me . One was getting the cover off ( and back on ) the bottom of the notebook ( which allows you to access where the memory goes ) . That is after you've unscrewed the little screw . That is because it does not ' snap ' out ( or back in ) easily but has to be flexed / forced slightly so the two little ' nibs ' on the long sides are both in place . Others mention this difficulty in their reviews . The other thing I had difficulty with was getting the memory module to ' seat ' into the correct position so that it was snug and contact was properly established between the module and the receptors for the 200 pins . At first I didn't properly pull apart the two small clamps on either side of the module that allow the module to be slid in all the way . When properly seated , these two clamps should be flush with the two ends of the module , and the module should be all the way ' down ' into its slot . It would had helped if I had paid more attention to how the 1GB unit I was replacing was seated before I took it out , but I didn't . This sounds all sounds more complicated than it was but it was the first time I had tried to do anything ' hardware-y ' by myself . Without the other Amazon reviews , I would not have had the confidence to try this myself . I also found a you-tube video showing how to do it . Anyway , once correctly installed , my notebook works great and I can confirm that this ' stick ' works with the Samsung NC10 netbook . The four-star rating is really for my own inexperience . Once installed , it works great , and I love this little machine , which I use to listen in bed to CSPAN videos and live radio for progressive channels we don't get on the airwaves out in the hinterlands of rural Minnesota . In fact , once wi-fi comes to these rural areas , I expect the politics will change in the heartland because all anyone can get now is Rush Limbaugh , Glenn Beck and others conservatives like them . For other computing I use a Dell Inspiron .
    • 006 4  I bought this to replace the standard 1 GB of memory that the Samsung NC10 ships with . The computer is much more pleasant to use with the new memory , and installing it was a breeze .
    • 091 4  I am not that knowledgable with computer hardware / software / or any kind of ' ware ' . But I had to make this purchase to upgrade my netbook I also purchased at Amazon ( samsung NC - 10 ) . Very easy to install and works awesome . . took me a whole 5 minutes to get the package open and into my computer ( obviously having the computer with ease of accessibility has a lot to do with it ! )
    • 195 4  great additon to the Samsun NC10 . it wont make your netbook blazzing fast , but you will notice a considerable difference . I also added a 320gb 7200rpm harddrive from newegg . and tweeked win xp .
    • 204 4  Got a used Dell Inspiron 1011 Mini 10v Manufactured 8 / 2009 for $190 . Wanted to run XP with 2 Gigs . NBD . Except installing in a mini 10v is hair-raising ! It's important to follow the service guide ( thank you Dell ! ) to disassemble the mini down to the motherboard . Then flip it over put memory in and backtrack to re-assemble . Say a prayer then hit the ON button . Why Dell couldn't put a second trap-door in this like the Sharp mini has I don't know . Would have been a lot easier . Not for the faint of heart . You really risk screwing up any of a dozen things when taking a laptop completely apart . Oh Well ! Next stop Wireless-N ! OH . Forgot to say - - - It works and is compatible even though its rated faster than 10v . Dell Inspiron Mini 1011 10.1 - Inch Obsidian Black Netbook - Up to 8 Hours 8 Minutes of Battery Life ( Windows 7 Starter )
    • 211 4  I , too , bought this to replace the 1G memory for my Samsung NC10 - 14G . I would have given it a higher rating for ease of installation but because I had not changed out a memory card , I was worried that I would damage it , I had minor problems getting it in correctly . The cover for the Samsung was hard to get off and you have to make sure that the memory card is seated properly but when it is insertly correctly , you know it . Once it was in , I turned the computer on and tested it out . Everything worked perfectly and I could immediately see a difference . I am very satisfied .

  • 199 4  This memory module probably works fine for certain applications , but I would not recommend it for the ASUS eee pc line . I read several posts regarding the shut down issue with the Crucial memory upgrade , but I decided to take my chances because it seemed like most people didn't have any trouble . That was my first mistake . Sure enough , the crucial memory module causes the eee pc's to not shut down properly . The netbook powers down , but not completely . Some lights are still on and the fan can be heard running . I returned it to amazon for a full refund and bought the Kingston 2GB netbook memory ( which works great by the way .
    • 050 4  I have bought Crucial memory before and had no problems at all . As usual , this was a very simple upgrade that made a noticable difference in the speed of my Toshiba netbook . For the price it's a worthwhile upgrade .
    • 071 4  I bought this Crucial module to max out the memory on my new Samsung GO Netbook and couldn't be happier . Installation was super-easy ; remove one screw , pop out the old chip , pop in the new , and done ! I definitely noticed a difference immediately with running multiple programs at once . This memory module certainly packed bang for the buck - high recommended for netbook users !
    • 102 4  Deffinitely sped up my emachine 250 . I don ' know that much about computers , but Crucials website made me feel comfortable that this was the right product , and it was !
    • 188 4  Crucial webpage said it will be compatible with my gateway lt21 series netbook , but it was not i looked into webforums and several other people have had this problem , so please be carefull when buying this online , better buy it somewhere u can test it first

  • 223 4  I bought this chip for my asus eee 1005hab , installation was easy . snapped right in . I didn't see much performance gain on the eee , but this was more than likely due to the atom processor on the netbook rather than the chip . it does help with some larger programs a little bit . So far it has worked perfectly now , it has been installed for about 2 weeks now . i have always had good luck with crucial chips .
    • 014 4  I bought this for my Asus 1000HE Netbook . . . what can I say it works ! . . . and I trust Crucial when it comes to memory .
    • 180 4  I had no problem swapping out the 1gb and adding the new 2gb of memory to my new Asus 1005he Netbook . The hardest thing was finding a screw driver small enough to get to the screws . I've used crucial technology before and I find their products to be reliable .

  • 238 4  Ordering was great , arrival was great , everything worked great for about 3 weeks and the memory failed ! Yep , stuck with a lemon . Had to go and buy Kingsinton , it has been working great ever since .
    • 034 4  Memory worked perfectly in my Dell Inspiron E1705 32 bit laptop . Having 3gb makes a big difference with any vista computer .
    • 100 4  Installed fairly easily , took a few nudges to seat in . Have no idea if it is making the netbook go any faster , but it certainly works !
    • 104 4  Works as advertised . Installs in less than a minute . Delivery was fast and it improves a netbook's speed for sure .
    • 106 4  Works great ! To bad the drivers do not work with windows 7 with the gate way laptop .
    • 240 4  Works as advertised . No problems . A bit pricier than the competition so 4 out of 5 stars .

  • 244 4  When I saw that the 2 GB memory chip was an upgrade possibility . . . GREAT ! I didn't expect it to arrive , by itself , in a plastic blister pack . . UNINSTALLED ! ! ! To my 75 year old mother . Thanks . A piece of cake to install . . . REALLY ! ? How about throwing some good old fashioned documentation into the box to tell me how . The screws on the bottom of the Toshiba NB205 are these tiny little hex heads . Great ! Now I have to go to Radio Shack to purchase a set of micro screwdrivers . BTW . . . which panel do I remove ? Throw me a bone here will you ! Give me a break ! I thought that this thing would have come installed . . . not tossed in with a Good luck to you attitude . I'm NOT happy .
    • 063 4  No problems to install . You must be OK with taking the memory cover off the back and pulling out the old one and inserting the new one . Definitely recommended upgrade for Toshiba netbooks .
    • 085 4  THIS IS CRUCIAL MEMORY . . . . IT IS JUST GOOD STUFF I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A DEAD CELL FROM THEM .
    • 168 4  I bought this 800MHz RAM memory for my Asus EeePC 1000HE after using a Kingston 667Mhz 2GB chip that didn't work fine . Please , if you intend to upgrade the RAM of your netbook , use 800MHz RAM modules and not 667MHz RAM ones . . . . this new memory works flawlessly and seamlessly with Asus Hybrid Technology , whereas the Kingston one had problems with Asus Hybrid technology and was even SLOWER that the chip included with the netbook . USE THIS CRUCIAL 800 MHZ . 2GB RAM MEMORY TO UPGRADE YOUR NETBOOK , YOU WON'T REGRET IT ! ( AND AVOID USING 667MHZ ONES ! ) .

For some reason Crucial isn't showing the recommended memory for the HP Mini 210 netbooks yet . • Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) For those of you just buying your 1st Asus product , this is the RAM for the 1201N if you need to know what goes in that notebook / netbook . The OEM configuration is 2 x 1GB SODIMMs , so you must replace * both * DIMMs with new 2GB modules to maxx out the SDRAM @ 4GB . There's a kit with 4GB of this SDRAM here at Amazon.com if you look for it , and the price is a tiny bit cheaper than buying 2GB twice like I did . With the 1201N , to install this upgrade to 4GB you must first disable Boot Booster in BIOS , ie do this BEFORE you take the notebook's RAM cover off and replace the memory modules . After replacing the modules , then boot back up into BIOS ( F2 key , tap it every 1 / 2 - second until you see the BIOS screen displayed ) and go to the 1st window there where RAM is listed . Make certain that 4096MB RAM is being shown in that window , and you're good to go ! Go to the BIOS screen ( NO .3 ) where Boot Booster resides again , enable it , hit F10 to save and exit , hit Enter , and you're done ! Boot back up normally into Windows after that to enjoy the 4GB RAM versus stock's 2GB RAM . I always like to make * triple sure * that all is well , and I use Everest Ultimate Utility with my PC's , all of them get it installed , and sure enough with Everest's display for RAM it showed 4GB RAM on board also , 2 x 2GB SODIMMs in slots 1 and 2 , so all was good with my installation of this RAM . Windows Task Manager with the 1201N will show 3328MB RAM available , and that's Windows way of looking at it , there's nothing wrong with that - - 32 - bit OS will only allow 3.25GB of RAM for the OS , and the rest ION graphics gets with the 1201N . . . so that's where the other contingent of RAM has ' vanished ' to with Task Manager's assessment if you go there and look for available RAM . As to how the 1201N works with 4GB of RAM vs 2GB RAM ? It is able to multi-task much better , and of course things are faster when you have multiple windows and programs open at the same time . I find that boot time improves also , in my case to less than 1 minute from a cold boot , and restarts take less than 30 seconds ; with 4GB of RAM on board . I am not running the 32 - bit OS though , so part of the credit for fast response goes to a nice , clean install of 64 - bit Windows 7 Home Premium , and I can highly recommend that to anybody who owns the 1201N . . . it transforms the notebook to a much better computer to dispense with all of the 32 - bit garbage from AsusTek , all those drivers and utilities that do nothing but slow down the computer can be dispensed with , and the computer is that much better for it ! Overall , the Asus 1201N loves 4GB of RAM , and it's a very worthwhile addition to an already great computer , perhaps the best notebook / small laptop that costs less than $500 today , you know ? Having 4GB of RAM vs 2GB is an easy thing to do , the computer benefits a bunch , and your work will be easier , faster , with this nice Crucial RAM . For your information the RAM has 6 - 6 - 6 - 18 - 51 - 2T Clocks timing overall in the 1201N , so it's not the barn burner stuff that the Elpida RAM from Kingston is , but then again , it doesn't suffer from the problems of Elpida RAM either ! So it's a good thing , I think , to use this RAM instead of the Kingston RAM , which is very aggressive with 4 - 4 - 4 - 12 - 34 - 2T Clocks timing . There are those who love the Kingston RAM , but I don't want to take a chance with Elpida RAM at this time . . . too many failures have been documented and I don't want that in my computers . That's about a wrap on this Crucial 200 - pin 800Mhz PC - 6400 RAM . I think it's a bargain at Amazon.com's pricing , it comes in a nice package so it's probably going to be aok fine in terms of a fragile transit . . . none of that here . . . and Crucial is good SDRAM , known to be effective , good brand RAM that works great in normal applications . I highly recommend this RAM for the Asus 1201N , it's the brand to get ! Wavey Davey - 2 - 7 - 2010
    • 001 4  This memory upgrade is fantastic for the price , considering just a few years ago something like this would have set you back several hundred dollars . I easily installed it in my netbook the other day , which is a Asus EeePC 1005HA . The installation for the Asus was simple : you unscrew the panel on the bottom of the netbook labeled memory , unclamp your installed RAM , and then push this one into place . Make sure you ground yourself before installing it , and DO NOT get any moisture or food in the netbook or on the RAM , it will ruin it ! If the clamps are not snug to the side groves , you've installed it wrong and need to go back and push it in further . This will be quite obvious when you turn on the computer and it doesn't start or you get a blue screen of death . You can check if the module is properly installed after you startup your system ( if you have Windows XP ) by right-clicking on My Computer , selecting Properties in the menu , and seeing if the memory changed under system information . If you don't want to go through booting the OS , press the key that brings up the BIOS ( typically F2 ) when you first start up the computer and check the system information . The specifics for other models are all available on Youtube . Just do a search for your model and memory installation , and some kind soul will have posted some video instructions . So , what's the difference between this and the 667 Mhz model ? Not much . You're not going to see a massive difference in speed from the upgrade , but it's worth the $3 extra if you can use it . The difference will only be obvious if you plan to overclock - - which is possible on my Asus . I've noticed about a 5% or so increase in speed over PC2 - 5300 modules in other systems . Of course , your system has to be able to run 800 Mhz , or it's just going to run at 667 Mhz . It will not hurt your system to install the 800 if it can only use the 667 , so don't fret if you're not sure what Mhz your system takes . Buyer beware : make sure that your laptop , notebook , or netbook is compatible with the memory module you buy ! Obviously , the EeePC 1005 netbook line takes this upgrade , but some don't . This is a DDR2 200 - pin SODIMM module , so if your system does not take DDR2 it won't work , and if it doesn't take 200 - pin modules , it won't even fit in the first place ! Most new computers do take DDR2 , but always check for compatibility before you buy hardware . Don't take it for granted and wind up with a useless module ! Overall , I recommend this . It's great for the price , and you get a free 1 - year warranty with it . Until you open up your system and spit on the module , it's very rare that wouldn't know something is wrong with it after a year of use .
    • 002 4  I have never had any problems with Crucial Memory modules - - and this holds true for this 2GB 800MHz DDR2 PC2 - 6400 laptop memory . I recently purchased this to upgrade my Toshiba NB205 to 2GB of memory . Installing it is a piece of cake . . . just remove the one that's in there now , and put this in its place . My netbook immediately recognized the 2GB of RAM . This module will work well with pretty much all the Intel Atom-based netbooks on the market . Even if your netbook comes with slower memory , this will still work as it's backwards-compatible in speed but you're better off buying the speed of memory that matches what your system came with as it will cost less .
    • 003 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought this to upgrade RAM in my brand-new eee PC 1005HA . It wasn't the same exact part number as Crucial Technology came up with when I checked compatibility on their website , but all the specs seemed the same , so I chanced it . It was easy to install , and everything is working fine , with twice the RAM at a very reasonable price .
    • 007 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Ok , so first of all , a lot of these reviews seem pointless and it took me a long time to decide to get one for my Asus 1005HA-PU - 1X-BK ( the 10.5 hour battery life model ) . The type of review I was looking for and haven't seen except for maybe 2 or 3 is a review on the difference between 1GB and 2GB for your netbook ( I mean , obviously recommended ram will work and install , the point in deciding to purchase this is to see if there will be a difference from what you have now ) . Normally , my netbook was working fine , and I installed Windows 7 . I would notice things slowed down when I tried to multitask , watch a video , or load a facebook app . Once I installed the new memory , there seemed to be less lag when multiple programs were running . Last night I was online with Chrome , 2 Word documents open , powerpoint , 2 file folders , and iTunes listening to streaming radio at a coffee shop , on the windows power saver setting and the super hybrid engine battery mode setting . I noticed things ran smooth , even watching a couple of videos on youtube . Everything seemed smoother than before . Is the change dramatic ? No . Is the change there though ? Yes . My Office is 2003 Enterprise , so you might notice things smoother if you're trying to run Office 2007 ( it takes up so much ram like Open Office so it might be noticeable there ) . Installation involves a screwdriver and literally 2 minutes out of your life even if you're slow and careful and ground yourself first . Amazon packaged it well and it arrived safe and fast . Bottom line - my netbook is becoming my laptop and my laptop stays at home at my desk . I take my netbook to class and to coffee shops to study and usually need a couple of programs open and I tend to concentrate better with music . If you just use your netbook for browsing the internet and e-mail , you would probably not notice a difference . If you watch videos and listen to music while you run Office and browse online , you would probably benefit from the added memory . Even a facebook app on its own was a little faster and resembled the speed on a normal laptop on battery mode . If you know you will be using your netbook more and more ( and I think it's only natural when you realize how great they are for portability and function ) then you might as well get the memory . Hope that helps to make an informed decision .

    • 009 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I am a first-time owner of a netbook and so this is also my first time buying a 2gb memory ram to upgrade my netbook . I ordered this module after seeing a lot of pleasant reviews about this , and people have been saying it works for the ASUS 1005HA , so I took a gamble and purchased this for $45 . It arrived the same day with my netbook , but I did not open it until I got access to a Philips Screwdriver . ( Best Buy charges $50 to do it themselves , rip off ! ) I carefully put in the ram and I made sure the ram is installed correctly . I turned on my 1005PE-MU17 and . . . IT DID NOT RECOGNIZE IT ! It still says 1.00 Memory , 1024 MB of ram ! I prematurely thought , My goodness ! This isn't compatible ! I shut down and reinstalled the ram again , but it still won't recognize it ! I considered returning this item until I researched more on installing ram on the internet . It mentions pressing F2 on startup to access BIOS . After doing the steps it told me , my computer recognized the ram ! STEPS : 1 . Turn on your 1005PE-MU17 , and tap F2 multiple times to get to BIOS 2 . Using right arrow key , move to the BOOT tab , and disable the Boot Booster . 3 . Save changes and exit . 4 . Once on log in screen , shut down . 5 . Remove Battery and proceed to install the 2GB Crucial 2gb ram . 6 . Close the lid , put back battery . 7 . Repeat Step 1 8 . Now you should see your memory say 2048 MB ( 2gb ) 9 . Go back to BOOT tab and enable the Boot Booster . 10 . Save changes , and LIFE IS GOOD . You done it ! My computer now recognizes the 2gb memory and now I will not return this item . IF you had doubts on this product , stop and be rest assured , this is compatible with the EEE PC 1005 line ! Hope this helps .

    • 012 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought this RAM module along with the ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10.1 - Inch Blue Netbook - 9.5 Hour Battery Life .
    • 015 4  I ordered Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module for my new Samsung NC 10 netbook . It was so easy to install and it took about 2 minutes . I did watch a You Tube video before installing the memory . Just type : installing memory in NC 10 . I am very satisfied with its performance in this netbook and I have also used Crucial memory in my desktop . It seems to run faster with MS Office 2003 and other programs that I have installed . I am a satisfied customer !

I have the Toshiba Netbook model NB305 with the latest INTEL Atom 450 processor . Installation was a snap , alll I had to do was remove 1 screw from the back , remove the existing 1 GB card and replace it with the new one . My system now runs at about twice the speed . Excellent value and product . Highly recommended !
    • 019 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I've upgraded a ton of computers , so it's a simple task . I originally purchased this for my Dell Zino HD ( Inspiron 400 ) with Windows 7 . Worked for several minutes . Then it died in the middle of me using the the Lightroom 3 Beta . Tried to reboot , but the computer would just beep without booting up . Had to take it out and replace with original memory , which worked . Swapped the memory back and forth a couple of times just to make sure it was a bad stick , which it turned out to be . Had to return it to Amazon . Got a better deal a few days later at Fry's for 2 sticks of 2GB ( 4GB total ) of Kingston DDR , which has worked perfectly . I've gotten tons of Crucial memory in the past with no problems . But I guess it was my time to get a bad one .

    • 021 4  I used this memory for the Samsung N140 Netbook , which doubled it's DRAM from 1GB to 2GB . I installed the 2GB in the N140 , swapping for the 1GB that was already there . ( Not sure what we do with the old 1GB now ) . It was very easy to do , you just open a compartment with a screwdriver , pull out the old memory and pop in the new memory . My notes on performance before and after : * Boot-up . With 1GB , it took 44.6 seconds . With 2GB , only 33.2 seconds . Before the upgrade , the machine was using 61% of the memory just sitting there running no applications , and only 33% after installing the extra memory . * Shut-down . 1GB : 30.0 seconds . 2GB : 16.4 seconds . * Open Word document . 1GB : 14.9 seconds . 2GB : 11.7 seconds . Again , memory usage was 61% before upgrade , afterward only 35% . * Open Control Panel : 1GB : 4.5 seconds . 2GB : 2.5 seconds . This is good because the N140 seemed very laggy before You'll have to see how much improvement you see in speed as you use it , but on the basics , it looks like it is indeed almost twice as fast . Well worth the price , it gave me much snappier performance on my netbook .

Before installing this memory into my netbook ; I've viewed a few clips on [ . . . ] regarding installing memory in the 1000HE . It was fairly easy to remove the old memory and install the new one . I suggest viewing this videos on youtube first before installing this memory on yout netbook so that you have a visual idea when you actually do the upgrade .
    • 027 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) For those of you just buying your 1st Asus product , this is the RAM for the 1201N if you need to know what goes in that notebook / netbook .

    • 029 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Probably the easiest performance booster for the Acer Aspire One netbook . Easy !

I started doing a lot of video editing lately , and noticed a big of lag while using other programs . I decided to upgrade to 4gb , and wow was it a good decision . The crucial memory modules came super fast ( like everything I order from Amazon ) they went in my computer even faster . I immediately went in and checked my system status and noticed it said 4gb , just like I hoped lol . I started my Sony Vegas video editing software , and opened a 41gb wedding video I had been working on . . . not even a single hesitation ! I then opened the internet and resource killing Excel 07 , both ran without a hitch and even while switching from application to application the computer continued to impress ! If your looking for a bit of help in the memory department on your PC , pick up a few of these crucial memory modules . You will notice a big difference !

The service from Crucial was excellent apart from one of their abrupt employees re an email . I had to go indirectly and use Amazon and not the direct approach to the Crucial Sales Company . I advise everyone to do the same . Use Amazon . wilcobb

    • 039 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought the slower version ( 667 mhz ) , which did not work in my Acer Aspire One netbook ; so I purchased this slightly faster version ( 800 mhz ) , which also did not work initially .
    • 041 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) When it comes to memory Brand Choices , Crucial Tech always is on my Top 5 List . I have been using their memory modules for more or less 15 years & counting since I started assembling micro-computers in the 80 ' s although 95% of them are for Desktops , 4% are Laptops & Notebooks , and the 1% belongs to the new generation & the new gadget - the Netbooks . As we all know and perhaps a marketing strategy , the Standard Netbooks comes only with 1 GB of Memory forcing you to upgrade to the max of 2 GB . When I bought a Netbook , besides upgrading the OS ( Windows 7 Starter ) to the Professional Version , I also replaced the on-board 1 GB SO-DIMM with this 2 GB Crucial Tech SO-DIMM which is rated as running at 800 MHz . As expected , it makes the overall performance of the Netbook a little faster . The installation was a breeze . I don't know why other people are complaining of this and that , but so far doing the same with my 3rd Netbook , I have not encountered any problems or glitches . They are all running smoothly with the same Crucial DDR2 SO-DIMMs . So , what can I say - I'm simply happy with this product just as I was happy with my past purchases . Thanks to Crucial and of course , to Amazon.com for great product and outstanding services , respectively .

I followed the simple installation guide provide by someone on the internet and it went very smoothly . Very simple , actually . It does seem to start-up a little more quickly , but it's still too slow for my liking . For the minimal investment , it is definately worth the upgrade .

Good day .

    • 058 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I've purchased at least 3 of these just this month . I've bought more before to use on Macbook Pro and iMac . The purchases this month were for the Dell Inspiron Mini 10Vs . I also bought 3 mini 10v on Amazon for my parents and inlaws . They are just great . But the design on the Dell mini 10v was a pain ; it almost was designed on purpose so you can't reach the RAM slot to upgrade . Anyway , it took 20 mins of work for each , but I managed to upgrade them . Oh , one of them was for Acer Aspire One with N450 . Netbooks automatically recognize the 2GB RAM . The boot up time remained the same for 1 or 2GB , but the application start up time reduced significantly . Also the time to process tasks improved dramatically . I've used Crucial memory on my iMac and Macbooks and Macbook Pro . They are great and very stable . I've had some problems with Kingston ones ( the cheaper value ones ) but over all I noticed the Crucial is better than Samsung and Transcend . I've had trouble with Transcend as well and their customer service ignored me forever , even after calling 4 times and left messages 4 times , they still didn't call me back . This product is highly recommended though the price seems a bit high now . A few months ago it was about half the price . But still , Amazon is where to buy because with Prime membership , no shipping and no taxes . If other sites offering for a couple dollars less , it still beats all of them to buy at Amazon . Five stars .

It adds more memory to my computer . It was easy to install . Took less than 5 minutes - including unscrewing the back of my HP Mini 110 - 1125 . Can't say that it helps with battery life but the computer is a little faster and I don't have alot of concerns when I have several windows open . I would recomend this memory upgrade to anyone with a netbook who wants more memory . The item number of this is different from what Crucial recommended for my netbook but when I contacted them , the customer rep checked and said this was the same as what they were recommending . And this module came a few dollars cheaper from Amazon and qualified for free shipping . So I am happy and I saved a few dollars .

    • 078 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought this to upgrade my Dell Mini 9 netbook from the 512mb of ram it came with to 2gb which is the maximum supported on the Mini 9 . Installation was a breeze , flip the mini 9 over , take out the screws over the ram cover , open it up , you'll see two clips holding the existing memory in place , push them away from each other gently and pull the memory chip toward you and out . Reverse the process to pop this in . My computer saw the new memory immediately and it just worked . I can say my machine is much faster now and this was MUCH cheaper than paying Dell the extra money for 2gb of ram when I ordered the Mini 9 .

It was very easy to install and I followed the instructions posted here for accessing the Bios at startup so it would recognize the new chip . This is a very cheap way to upgrade an already excellent netbook to maximize performance . It also allowed me to play with overclocking the 1000HE , which has resulted in even better performance .
    • 082 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought this a month ago to go with my newly purchased Asus Eee netbook . Installed it in less than 10 minutes . Works great with the netbook and definitely has benefited my netbook , which I can now use just like a regular full laptop by watching Hulu videos and downloading work documents . Even a virus scan in the background doesn't disturb my workflow . Definitely a good buy !

I have bought RAM from Crucial before and have never had a problem . This installed quickly and easily ( kudos to Apple Computers ) . I priced this direct from Apple's site at $300 and paid only $45 here !
    • 090 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I am not that knowledgable with computer hardware / software / or any kind of ' ware ' . But I had to make this purchase to upgrade my netbook I also purchased at Amazon ( samsung NC - 10 ) . Very easy to install and works awesome . . took me a whole 5 minutes to get the package open and into my computer ( obviously having the computer with ease of accessibility has a lot to do with it ! )

    • 095 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Mine installed and worked fine in my Samsung N150 netbook .

    • 109 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Ease of installation will vary by the brand of computer . Very glad I upgraded my RAM . .

    • 123 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) This replacement card was an easy task to install . One small screw holds the cover in place and is easily removed . I just pulled out the card that came with the netbook and slid in the replacement . One needs to be careful of static electricity when handling the card . A wrist strap would be a good safety item .
    • 125 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Purchased for my ASUS eeePC 1001P netbook .

    • 134 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) As established by the other reviews , Crucial memory just works .

    • 145 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) This was money very well spent . Better price than purchasing the same memory from Crucial direct and a very noticeable improvement in performance of my netbook .
    • 147 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Upgraded Asus Eee 1000H with this stick .

    • 153 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Does what it's supposed to .
    • 155 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Got this memory module for my Samsung N120 Netbook . Cannot be any easier .
    • 157 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Matter of snapping in the chip in the bottom compartment secured by one screw . 1G upgraded to 2GB , max allowed for the NC10 netbook .
    • 159 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) Crucial has a really good reputation and this product is no different . The hardest part was taking the cover off of the NC10 . It requires a bit of finesse to get it off . Check [ . . . ] for how-to's . But once you get the cover off just move ( outward ) both tabs holding the old , 1gb memory in place , pop it up and remove . Take new 2gb memory and install sticker side down . Make sure memory is all the way in , press down and the tabs will lock into place . Turn on NC10 , press F2 to make sure the computer recognizes the 2gb memory and save . . . and you're done ! The whole process took less than 2 minutes . There is a noticeable improvement when moving between and using applications . Cheap and effective . It doesn't get any better ( and easier ! ! ! ) than that . get it already : )

    • 167 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought this 800MHz RAM memory for my Asus EeePC 1000HE after using a Kingston 667Mhz 2GB chip that didn't work fine . ( AND AVOID USING 667MHZ ONES ! ) .

    • 191 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I decided to upgrade my netbook to the new Windows 7 and so decided I should probably have 2 gigs of memory instead of the 1 gig that was preinstalled .
    • 196 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) The first shipment never got here . Amazon replaced it immediately . The second shipment arrived very quickly ( expensive overnight shipping ) , but the memory was not recognized by the Asus EeePC 1005HA . I sent the defective SODIMM to Crucial RMA and it was replaced extremely quickly ( again , overnight ) . The replacement SODIMM passed 24 hours of Memtest 86 + V 4 with no problems . HOWEVER , in the time it took between sending the defective memory to Crucial and testing the new one , I upgraded the EeePC BIOS to 1301 . I am now reading hints that the original 0905 BIOS that came with the EeePC will not recognize the 2 GB memory module , although this little bit of intel is not listed in the Asus BIOS descriptions . That is a far more likely reason that the first RAM was not recognized , not that it was defective . We'll never know . Sorry Amazon and Crucial - there goes your profit . But your quick reaction to two different problems is appreciated and will be remembered when making future purchasing decisions . Although the Asus EeePC 1005HA runs this memory at 533 MHz ( PC5300 ) , it is probably smarter to buy this 800 MHz ( PC6400 ) SODIMM unless the price difference is substantial . Your next netbook will probably have an 800 MHz front-side bus ( FSB ) and you won't be stuck with slower , obsolete memory .

OH .

It arrived promptly , and the install went smoothly . My netbook had no problems recognizing the new module , and everything has worked without a hitch since the first boot . I have no reservations about recommending this particular module to others .

Package arrived in good condition and on-time like normal . Easy to install Thanks Amazon

Computer runs great and flies now . I also added the 64 - bit Windows 7 RC and everything has been super smooth . I think it runs a little bit hotter , this is to be expected as RAM does run pretty hot , but have had zero issues since I use a chill pad for the bottom of my laptop .

Took less than two minutes and the mini recognized it right away . Improved speed and compatible . The two things i was looking for . The shipping was super fast . Nothing negative on this product .
    • 222 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought this chip for my asus eee 1005hab , installation was easy . snapped right in . I didn't see much performance gain on the eee , but this was more than likely due to the atom processor on the netbook rather than the chip . it does help with some larger programs a little bit . So far it has worked perfectly now , it has been installed for about 2 weeks now . i have always had good luck with crucial chips .
    • 226 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I bought this memory to upgrade my EeePC 1001P and it created nothing but troubles .

    • 230 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) While adding memory always makes your pc go faster the only thing I would have liked to have known before purchase was whether it had a buffer or not . Not having a buffer makes a difference in the way memory operates and in price .

Yep , stuck with a lemon . Had to go and buy Kingsinton , it has been working great ever since .

    • 243 4  This review is from : Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) When I saw that the 2 GB memory chip was an upgrade possibility . . .

  • Crucial Technology CT25664AC800 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module ( Electronics ) I got this 2BG memory module for my new Samsung NC10 - 14GB 10.2 - Inch Blue Netbook even though it is not the one that Amazon suggested when I ordered my notebook .
    • 011 4  This is a great DDR2 RAM upgrade for the Dell Mini 9 netbook . Runs cooler than others and when running at the Dell's FSB speed of 533MHz , my memory stick clocks in at 4 - 4 - 4 - 12 . I am very happy with Crucial and the recent prices cannot be beat .
    • 016 4  The chip arrived before I expected once I installed the 2GB 200 - pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2 - 6400 Memory Module my Toshiba nb205 read it and is working even better than before .
    • 088 4  I purchased this 2GB RAM as an upgrade to the stock 1GB included with the Toshiba Mini NB205 . Popped it in , and it works perfectly ! Opening programs is zippier . I'm happy with the purchase .
