059 4 I had been looking for a small tv to replace our old VHS portable , space was important due to small area in a wardrobe closet . Having several Toshiba products previously and knowing the quality of them prompted me to look into this unit . The 15.6 - Inch wide screen LCD with DVD player had the right dimensions , which allowed it to go into the space with room to spare . The unit plays fine , color and picture are great , and I have no problems with it . I feel it was a good value and if it goes as well as my other products , it will last for a long time . My wife is happy too , with the new unit .
112 4 I bought this tv to use in my Semi Truck and bought a wall mount bracket because it was suggested by Amazon . My own fault , I assummed that it was Wall mountable , but when it arrived , I realized it wasnt , so I had to send it back . In all honesty , I never even plugged it in , so I cannot give a review on the operation of this unit .

We are VERY pleased with the purchase and feel the value for the $ $ ' s was well worth the upgrade ! The TV fits perfectly on a small lazy susan situated on a counter top under a set of our kitchen cabinets . The lower profile , due to it's wide-screen design , allows a better fit in this application versus the replaced Polaroid . Of the other units we researched , this one came highly rated for it's sound quality versus similar sized T。 's . After watching it for a couple of months , we see why . The sound quality is equal to our larger 36 and 42 HDTVs . The reaction time to receive a picture when first turning on the unit , is a little slow , but not unlike other HDT。 's we have . The remote control features are well designed and easy to access at quick glance . The integrated DVD player is very asthetically pleasing and desingned in a way that it fits into the TV cabinet without looking like an ' add on ' . The picture quality is super and agian rivals those of our larger HDT。 's . We are extremely pleased with this TV in it's particular application and would highly recommend it to anyone considering the purchase of a screen size 20 .

It is easy to program . I must agree that the channel changes are slow . We like the TV remote . The TV set requires 115 Volts AC for the power source ; In our case , we use a small Tripp-lite inverter to produce the needed 115 Volts AC from out small camper's battery pair .

Bought this Toshiba on Amazon for my bedroom . I have been very happy with it . I looked at other smaller T。 's and found the sound systems to be inferior ; some had to be turned up all the way . I love this Toshiba because I can adjust the treble and bass , it sounds great . The picture is sharp clear and colorful .
I had some trouble trying to get rabbit ears to work , but took both of them back . I have resorted to cable ( basic ) without any box . It pulls them in easily . I was too hasty in channel search , but found that it takes time to adjust each station ~ but after it settles down , I discovered that I can get LOTS more programs . 4 isn't just 4 , but you can get 40101 , 40102 , 40103 etc . . . on several of the stations . As a result I can view most things ( not CNN ) but I can live without that . Would highly recommend it to anyone . You can adjust the size of the screen to be traditional or Wide or Theatre , etc . . . . and the closed caption is great as well . I have a long cord with headphones and it doesn't disturb anyone else if needed . The volume can be set to 1 or 2 with it , and it is plently loud .

I replaced a 19 conventional tv with this and can't believe how much less space it takes ! The whole room seems more open . I have other Toshiba tv's and have never been disappointed with the brand . As with the other reviewers I have a bit of an issue with the channel changing delay but I can deal with it for the price I paid . I would say this is a stellar value !

The only improvement ( to get the coveted 5th star ) I would suggest is to remove the status light from the T。 's front bezel . It is slightly annoying to have a large blue on status light on the bezel of the active display . The red off status light is a little large for my taste too . If the lights were somewhat more dim , I would have no objection .
I'm satisfied enough with the product that I may a second TV for my camper .

Even though it was delegated to replace the aging Emerson 13 TV in our kitchen , I can't think of anything I would rather take with me to another room , my desk , or on a trip . As is the case with any flat LCD screen , it doesn't play as large as its cathode ray equivalent . ( For example , If you want to experience the effect of your old 27 big tube TV , you'll need a 37 LCD display - - not just because of aspect ratio but the brighter , more intense , life-like quality that is unique to the picture-tube television sets of yore . ) So given the shallow profile of this baby , don't be surprised if you find yourself second-guessing whether or not you should have sprung for the 19 - 20 model .
Nevertheless , once you've lit up this little Toshiba , chances are you won't want to let it out of your sight . It doesn't have HDMI inputs - - just coax , S-Video , and 3 - color component video . Yet with a screen this small , clarity and brightness are never an issue . So far , we've only used it in the DVD mode since we camped in remote sites where we do not get TV signals ( we do not have satellite capability with our trailer . . . so unless there is a cable hookup where we camp , the DVD player is our main use ) . We DID try out the TV with our cable connection in the house before placing it in the trailer and we were happy with the picture and sound it produced . As far as the trailer , we particularly like this 15.6 set because it draws a mere 30 watts which is less than 1 / 2 the power of the prior 13 LCD set we used with a separate DVD player . We like the widescreen since this is the mode most often used on DVDs produced now and by using less watts , we can watch more movies without using up our battery power and having to recharge with the generator .
009 4 My wife and I choose to get our TV signals over the air with an antenna . So , with the looming switch to digital-only broadcasting , I decided to simply replace an analog Sharp Aquos 13 set with a new , widescreen model . After much research , I chose the Toshiba . I've had some experience with Toshiba products and have no complaints . I wanted a ' brand name ' set for reliability concerns .
We've had it for just less than a month and are generally pleased with the set . The move to a digital signal has resulted in a much improved picture over our older Sharp analog LCD . The viewing angle is good , which is important to us as we use this TV on our kitchen table and we sit on opposite sides .
As others have mentioned , channel switching is a bit slow , the set does not swivel vertically and I wish the remote had direct input for a few favorite channels . We have not tried the DVD player and don't plan on much use of this feature .
Amazon shipped this item promptly and we were pleased with the price .
If you're in the market for a smaller size widescreen TV , I can recommend the Toshiba .

The only minor complaint is when pressing a selection with the remote resting on a surface , rather than being held in the hand , the unbalanced design of the remote tends to allow it to tip over to one side . I highly recommend this product for the compact design and versatility of features .

016 4 This is a very good 15 widescreen LCD . Bought it for the kitchen to save some space and it looks great . 15 is small , and at only 7 lbs , this is a great , compact TV . No complaints other than it can't be mounted on a wall mount , which is pretty ridiculous .
I ordered this taking the chance of this and am dumbfounded that they couldn't put 2 simple holes in the back for a wall mount . I called Toshiba asking them and their reply was yes , this is our only LCD TV that we didn't install wall mounts on because it is so small on top of it having the DVD player . My reply was to ask how difficult it is to create external connectors for a wall mount ( obviously we don't need the engineering of the TV to make room for screws going into the wiring ) and anything can hold a little plastic hook for a screw to go into . They just said no . Pretty lame .
So other than the fact it can't be wall-mounted ( and amazon recommends you couple your purchase of this TV WITH a wall mount ! ) , I have no complaints . It's thin , it's light , speakers are good for it's size , and it takes up little space , which could even be less if it connected to a mount .

027 4 I purchased this TV for my travel trailer . The lightweight and beautiful picture is fantastic ! Buttttttt - When I use the set while my AC is running I can't hear a thing . Also , when setting it up outside I can't hear the sound . The volume is set on the highest level ( 50 ) and the bass and treble are maxed out for normal viewing . I love the set but very disappointed in the volume output .

I just got this today . BEAUTIFUL picture , but when you get it , check which picture type it is set on . I noticed that writing on screen in a newscast was blurry and couldn't figure out why . Turns out it was on the Sports setting . Once I changed that and changed my Dish box to 720 vs 1080 , everything cleared up . I can't say enough about the picture - - I replaced a Sylvania 15 - inch HDTV that I've had for a year or so . It had a pretty lousy picture quality . Haven't tried out the DVD player yet , but hoping it will be as good . I got a great deal ( I think ) at under $200 . The only thing that is not perfect is that the stand - - it is static and can't be tilted back or turned side to side . But once I got the TV into a good position for viewing that wasn't a terrible problem . The supplier sent it free 2 - day shipping / no tax - - although it wasn't Amazon but a 3rd party ( Electronic Express ) . GREAT service ! ! I'll tell you that after days and days of snow and being stuck inside this TV is the best thing that has happened in days ! ! I did feel bad for the FedEx driver though . . .

The sound on mine is great and can be heard easily even when the dishwasher is running . In fact , I find myself turning the sound down often . We've had our tv for 2 weeks now and hoped we could adjust to the most annoying issues with the tv , but cannot . When you turn the tv on , you have to wait before you can input a channel or adjust volume , till the picture comes on . Then to change channels , the 5 seconds of waiting before you get desired channel , is awful . Sometimes we go back and forth between programs and we loose information in those 5 sec . just waiting for the picture and sound on the new channel .
Another issue is the picture size . Even using full screen size , we can't see complete data at the top and bottom of the screen .
What were the engineers at Toshiba thinking to let these kinds of basic technical functions get thru to the finished product . We have had Toshiba's before and are most unhappy with this one .
THINK TWICE , OR MORE BEFORE BUYING THIS ONE ! ! !

This TV has a great picture unless you are viewing at an angle . I bought it for my RV . I returned it because the TV shelf in the RV is near the ceiling and we were viewing from the couch below . When standing the TV has a great picture but when watching from the couch , which is lower , the picture was very dark .

The DVD combo is great and the kids have already gotten a lot of use out of it . I also like the fact you can hook video games up to it very easy . The picture is great and very clear . The only drawback that I have is the lapse in time it takes to switch from channel to channel . If you are someone who likes to channel surf this would be annoying for you . If you are good with finding your channel and leaving it there no problem . All in all great purchase and great price here on Amazon . Just purchased this on 1 / 16 as a deal of the day . The price was great - $199 , the picture is beautiful , and setup extremely easy . I only wish I had purchased 2 ! I purchased this as a replacement for an older tv in the kitchen ; it takes up very little room on the countertop , but it's still large enough that I could have purchased it for the spare bedroom also . I purchased this on a Friday am , and the tv was shipped out the same day , receiving it on Monday evening . You couldn't get better service than that ! ! ! ! Kudos to Amazon ! 062 4 When considering this TV , do not believe the overall sound rating by my fellow reviewers , which at the time of this writing was four stars . Its tinny , underpowered sound beats out laptop speakers only in loudness ( not in sound quality ) . I think that when Toshiba built this TV , they made a decision that anyone buying a TV this small wasn't particularly picky about their electronics . Well , they can pat themselves on the back because they under-delivered perfectly .
The DVD picture is good - - like watching a DVD on a computer screen . I only have a standard-def TV signal coming into the RF ( coaxial cable ) input , so I cannot rate the picture quality for HD . However , I can say that if you have a standard definition signal as I do , you will notice how much worse the broadcast picture is than on DVDs .
Two final points : First , I imagine that most people put this kind of TV in their kitchen . I do . Toshiba , like many manufacturers , seems to be afraid to put buttons on the front panel . On this TV , they opted to put the buttons on top of the TV , which makes for awkward pressing if the TV sits beneath a cabinet . If you want to , say , eject a DVD , you have to memorize the button placement of the DVD ejector ( furthest button on the right ) .
Second , it would be nice if the stand that held the TV were adjustable . I placed a Bose Wave Radio in front of it and hooked the TV into the radio to give it the sound it needed . But as a consequence , I needed to purchase a flat panel monitor stand to compensate .
As I don't own another small TV , I cannot recommend what you should buy in its place . But if you purchase this , consider if the button placement will bother you and whether you are okay with laptop speaker-quality sound .

Happy with this combo . We replaced an old , box of a tv in the kitchen and gained a lot of counter space . It is just the right size for a kitchen counter . We just hooked up the old rabbit ears and the Toshiba delivers great picture and sound quality without a fancy new antenna . As others have noted there is a pause when switching channels , but that is but a minor annoyance .

I bought this TV to replace a 12 volt 13 TV and a DVD / CD remote player which was not a digital unit in my 2007 Winnebago Access motorhome . I also purchased a 200W inverter as the cabinet where the TV sits did not have a 110 plug-in in it just a lighter plug-in . I was so impressed with the TV / DVD unit with its features / picture / quality that I bought a second one for the back bedroom in the motorhome . Some of the reviews complained about the volumne problems but I have not noticed any problem with my two units and I have a 30% hearing loss in my left ear . I turned on the Dolby stereo feature when I first powered them up which may have helped . Highly recommend this TV / DVD combo .

Like many other reviewers , we bought this TV for our kitchen due to its compact size . We're running a standard RF signal in and I think the picture looks fine on analog channels and very good on digital channels . We don't generally play DVDs on it , but I tested one when we received the TV and it looked very good , too . Sound-wise , it's just OK . Don't expect to hear full sounding bass levels or crisp highs , but the volume levels are more than adequate for us .
Some reviewers have mentioned the notable pause experienced when changing channels . I can attest that it is quite noticeable - probably 3 - 4 seconds of black screen before the new channel is displayed . Since I'm not a channel surfer , I can overlook this , but if you like to move through your channels at breakneck speed , be warned that you'll quickly become very frustrated with this TV unless you attach it to a separate cable box or tuner and use that to tune your channels .
And finally , in one of their odder design features , Toshiba has designed this TV so that by default a red light is illuminated on the front of the TV when it is turned off ( or , as Toshiba calls it , in Stand By mode ) . A blue light is illuminated when the TV is on . While there doesn't seem to be a way to eliminate the blue light , the red stand by light can be disabled by going to the main menu , selecting Setup , then selecting Standby LED and just setting it to Off . We saw absolutely no purpose for this light and were glad Toshiba at least provided a means to turn it off .
Overall , we're quite pleased with this purchase and would recommend the product . Would have rated it a 5 if not for the slow channel changing and the odd stand-by light .

I had been eyeing small tvs for my bedroom for some time and when I saw this tv at a great rate ( under $200 ) I knew it was time to go for it ! It was a great surprise to me that it's a known brand , the picture quality is great , and the appearance is sleek , uncluttering a whole corner of my bedroom where my old 13 tube sat . And the fact that is has a built-in DVD player to boot ! What a steal ! Both the tv and the DVD player have been great !
The sound is a bit off in terms of needing to turn it up pretty loud when you are watching the tv with others and when you want it low the gap between low and just above low is pretty wide . Also , the light to indicate whether it's on or off is pretty big an bright . Luckily it doesn't bother me but I can imagine some people being sensitive to it . It's red when it's off and blue when it's on .

I am very pleased with this tv / dvd player . It has very good picture and sound quality . I LOVE that it is so compact . I replaced a 19 conventional tv with this and can't believe how much less space it takes ! The whole room seems more open . I have other Toshiba tv's and have never been disappointed with the brand . As with the other reviewers I have a bit of an issue with the channel changing delay but I can deal with it for the price I paid . I would say this is a stellar value !

095 4 I purchased this small Toshiba TV to replace the 1980 ' s antique in our travel trailer . I had also been considering buying a small TV for our kitchen counter . This is the perfect size for both locations . So far , I have only used it in the kitchen , but it fits well on the counter and I am very pleased with the picture and sound quality . I actually think the remote control is superior to the one that came with our 40 Samsung , and I don't notice the time lag in changing channels being much different from the Samsung . I have not yet used the DVD player ( other than testing to make sure it works ) , but I predict I will use it a lot when I am staying in our travel trailer . I was pleased to be able to purchase a name-brand TV at a reasonable price , and I would definitely recommend the Toshiba to anyone who is looking for a small , easy-to-relocate television .

Great TV for the bedroom or kitchen . Excellent picture and sound . An extra bonus was the DVD player . It does take a few seconds to turn on but that is no problem . I bought this tv to use in my Semi Truck and bought a wall mount bracket because it was suggested by Amazon . It seems to be a great little TV but I bought it with a swing down swivel mount to use on my boat this summer . Was very disappointed that it doesn't have the capibility to be mounted to a wall mount . I thought every LCD TV these days had that capibility . Guess I'll have to give it as a gift or use it in the kitchen . Not what I bought it for . The stand it came on doesn't even allow you to swivel the screen side to side or up and down .

2 . No advanced program guide

I have a Channel Master converter box for my old console TV , and
the GUIDE shows EVERYTHING - current time , time current program
began and ends , description and times of future programs hours in
advance . The INFO shows the same thing , and more . This Toshiba TV

I read the reviews on this television before I bought it so I knew in advance it was slow changing channels . So far that is the only draw back to this unit we chose for the kitchen . Channel surfing is not fun . All other aspects are average to above average . I have not tried the DVD player yet but that is not why I purchased it so it really doesn't matter how well it works . I purchased this set in November ' 09 . I replaced a ten month old Sansui television , which I was VERY disappointed with . I have nothing but good things to say about this little Toshiba . I use it in my kitchen , so it's always on . The sound and picture are outstanding and you can also use it as a CD Player ! ! ! I am thinking of purchasing the 19 model for another room in my house . Some people are saying the delay in channel changing might be a problem , but I haven't noticed it . I highly reccomend this set for it's quality , appearance and value ! ! ! I shop Amazon very often and have never been disappointed .

TV good other than the fact that it states it will play divx video when it won't . No where on the TV is Divx playback listed or implied . Going to the Toshiba website didn't show divx for this TV either . . . so if you are looking for a tv / dvd combo to play divx video . . . look somewhere else . I would send TV back but hubby is happy with it .

Can't comment on the technical issues - but the size is perfect for my kitchen counter and the dvd capability gives me viewing options . I'm not a fanatic about picture quality or sound but this little set is very satisfactory to me in both categories . I've had it about a month and no problems at all . Easy to set up and to operate . Never been dissatisfied with Toshiba .

Positives :

The only real negatives are :
* How long it takes to change channels . I haven't timed it but it feels like a good 4 - 5 seconds for over the air tuning .
* Non adjustable stand . It's not a really big negative for where I have it set up , but it's something that may be a problem for others .
The only thing I would change is no DVD player and knock a few dollars off the price . I suppose it's convenient to have it built in but I've never used it to play a DVD ( I think I've played a music CD in it twice in four months ) but it seems all models in this size / price range have built in players . It doesn't detract from the functionality or seem to add to the overall size , so I guess it's just a matter of what you're using it for .
The DVD player and the channel changing delay are the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 . Other than that I would highly recommend this TV .

I wanted something for my kitchen and did not want one real tiny or one that could mount on the wall . I wanted something small but not tooo big , and something that would play DVDs and CDs , too . I did not need a radio or clock .

This TV is very nice , good quality , sharp picture . As I had seen in other reviews there is quite a delay between channels when changing them but all in all it's something you can get used to and it is not too troublesome . It picks up all the channels and is a good well known brand . I'm happy with it .

The stand seems to be fixed but it is such a small TV you can easily adjust it side to side . I would have given it a 5 if adjustable and mountable . My wife bought me a 15.4 Polariod LDC TV for Christmas . We were both so disappointed with the picture that we quickly returned it . After looking at a lot of different TVs in the store and much research , I settled on this 15.6 Toshiba . The DVD player was not a factor because we already had one . Overall I am very happy with this unit . I would not hesitate to buy this TV again
Pros :
- Excellent viewing angle . I can look at this at almost any angle and get a very reasonable picture .
- I think the picture is wayyyy better than the Polaroid ( junk ) . Actually it is excellent for this class of TV ( note I said for it's class ) , but I do think that the colors are slightly off . I haven't had time to properly calibrate with a reference disc yet , but it's good enough now that it doesn't bother me and I'm accustomed to a properly calibrated Cinema series CRT TV in the living room .
- DVD player is a great bonus ( and I like that it is slot-load , I think trays are too flimsy ) .
- Cabinet looks and feels nice .
- Sound is excellent for it's class
- I love the slot-load DVD player .
- 15.6 is just the right size next to the bed . Any bigger would strain my eyes .

- The DVD player motor can be a bit noisy . I don't think it's any louder than a lot of home DVD players . It wouldn't bother me if I was across the room , but this set is not intended to be used close up so I think the player motor should be a bit quieter .

- Power light . Why did they make a huge , distracting light just below the picture ? Okay , it's not that bad ; one quickly adjusts to it and forgets it is there , but still , why ? At night , I have a bright red LED pointed at my eyes when the TV is off .
- The AC cord plugs in behind a protective cover . This is not a complaint , just a question : Why did they think to provide a cover for the AC cord and leave nothing to manage the other dozen cables coming from the back ? In my case the component cables were very loose ( cheap cables provided by my cable company ) . I ended up tying them to the coaxial cable to prevent them from falling out and make the back look prettier .
- No HDMI input . Granted ; it's not the centerpiece of a home theater , but still , how hard is it to add one ?
- Base / stand isn't adjustable at all .

The small footprint made it perfect for her limited space , and the fact that it's digital means she doesn't need the additional digital converter box . She uses it with a Terk antenna , and the combo works well .
The 15 screen was actually larger than I expected . It's great as a secondary TV in a small space where you won't be sitting too far from the TV . Ours faces a window , and we don't have any problem with glare . The picture is still bright and clear , even on sunny days .

234 4 This is the ideal kitchen counter TV / DVD combo ! Cable was easy to connect . The picture size is great , good to excellent quality and having the option of watching movies while working in the kitchen is wonderful . This was a great purchase .
235 4 Exactly what I expected to get for the price . Has excellent picture . We use it on our kitchen counter with an HD Antenna . Anticipate we will buy another one or two . We want one in the garage and one in our spare bedroom . We have Directv in our other rooms . While it's nice to have the DVD we won't use it much . We would have preferred to find a TV like this without the built in DVD . But it is nice to have .
237 4 While this TV is very compact and provides beautiful picture and nice sound , Amazon's specifications regarding the DIVX playback are entirely wrong .
Being able to play MPEG4 files was a major selling point for me , however , upon receiving this model I found out that it will not play any DIVX file despite Amazon's proud promise .
If you just want to watch TV , it is OK , go for it .
But I am warning those who need more than regular DVD playback .
I am returning this product and replacing it with a 19 combo which is DIVX certified according to Toshiba .
To Amazon's staff : please consider revising the technical details as it is not fair to the customers .

239 4 I just bought this TV for my room . I sat here on my computer and looked through adds for months . Then one day I noticed the deal of the day was this Toshiba . Although you'd be lucky to find this TV for $269.99 it was on the deal of the day for only $199 . Even for $269 I think this would be a deal . I probaly wouldn't wait around for it to go back to $199 .
Now about this TV , I dont know if its just me or does thi TV look bigger than 15.6 ' ' . The built in DVD player is a major pro although I sometimes hook my xbox 360 to it and doen't use it . It also has great features , like picture settings . Theirs also picture tempeture standard , warm , and cool which is always fun to mess around with . Every movie , every game has its own temp , not to mention picture size . Just to let you know this TV has the best picture I've ever seen on any TV . When I told my friends they all wanted to try to make fun of it for being 15 but I think its almost better to have a small screen . If you think about it it can go almost anywhere and when you actually get into whatever your watching you can't tell . My point is if your looking for a great TV for bedrooms , kitchen or just about anywhere else you can think of buy this TV you wont regret it .

Since I just bought this to replace a space killing CRT model I don't have long-term experience . But so far , the picture is crisp and bright , there's an included DVD player ( which I didn't need but oh , well ) and its footprint is wee-wee-tiny . . . . . . on my breakfast counter it is a godsend . I now have room to spread out the morning paper there . I paid close attention to reviews of 15 flat screen T。 's and while I think $299 was pretty high for a small screen , the other cheaper no-names seemed to have rotten reviews . I'm trusting in Toshiba's reputation and the reviews . The unit was shipped amazingly fast from AMAZON and is light as a feather .
I'll reserve final judgment for about a year to see how it works then .
One thing that I find odd is the VERY VERY slow switching of channels .

011 4 i bought this tv to replace a bulky older tv i had in my kitchen ( also a toshiba ) . my old tv had a fabulous picture , sound and was complelety reliable . it simply took up too much counter space , so i replaced it with a flat panel . the new tv , as noted in a few other reviews , takes a very long time to turn on ( perhaps 6 - 7 seconds before a picture appears ) , but once it's on , it's a very good picture . my bigger complaint is that the volume is quite low . on some channels , i literally have to turn up the volume to full capacaity , and i'm 3 feet from the tv , in a small kitchen . i would not recommend this tv if you plan to be across the room . . . you'll never hear it !

There's not a whole lot to add to the other reviews . It's a nice little TV for the money and the only real name brand to come in such a small size .
Positives :
* Nice picture for the price and size
* Small size - - perfect for kitchen , etc
* The sound was surprisingly good , much better than I was expecting
The only real negatives are :
* How long it takes to change channels . I haven't timed it but it feels like a good 4 - 5 seconds for over the air tuning .
* Non adjustable stand . It's not a really big negative for where I have it set up , but it's something that may be a problem for others .
The only thing I would change is no DVD player and knock a few dollars off the price . I suppose it's convenient to have it built in but I've never used it to play a DVD ( I think I've played a music CD in it twice in four months ) but it seems all models in this size / price range have built in players . It doesn't detract from the functionality or seem to add to the overall size , so I guess it's just a matter of what you're using it for .
The DVD player and the channel changing delay are the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 . Other than that I would highly recommend this TV .
005 4 This is a nice little unit . I find the picture very clear and the sound is not bad , considering the size of the speakers . Very light and has a very good viewing angle , better than some larger lcd's I've looked at . The built in dvd player is simple and works well and the remote is very intuitive and easy to use . The only downside is you cannot mount this tv to the wall . Because of the dvd player it is not compatable with any of the the existing wall mounts . It has no mounting holes for a wall mount .
Other than that it is a great little unit for the money and works well for small spaces .
023 4 I had to return this item because the base was not properly secured to the screen . Other reviewers have noted this problem . For the record , the Amazon return process was flawless - - and FREE , because the item was defective . Just make sure you return items within 30 days .
The picture quality was crisp - - just beautiful . The controls are easy to use and understand . The manual is useful . But there is just not enough sound volume , especially on DVDs .

This tv has a great picture and the sound is excellent . The only downsides that I have notice is there is that pause when you switch stations , but I am hoping that will get better when we hook it up to satelite . I don't like that it does not have a recall button on the remote to flip back to the previous channel . There is one tiny pixel ( ? # in the middle of the tv is off color . I really don't notice it 90% of the time . And the last thing is when I am changing channels and go through all the video , gaming etc presets and get to the first tv channel #2 ) the sound is off . If I go from the other direction channel 4 to channel 2 the sound is normal . Can't quite figure that one out . Otherwise highly recommended tv .

189 4 I bought this tv for my kitchen . It is perfect size for the counter . It has a great picture and sound is not a problem like I have read on reviews of other small sets . The only thing that bothers me some is the delay when switching channels . Just a little too much thinking time . Other than that . . . great ! I have not really used the built in dvd but did try it . It appears to work well . Great tv for a great price !
212 4 What a great lightweight , portable unit with a beautiful picture . My only complaint is the volume is not quite as load as sometimes you want . Otherwise it's perfect !
238 4 We needed to replace an old time tube TV in our kitchen that could fit into an open shelf . . . and this absolutely did the trick . Resolution and brightness of the picture are very good and we are happy with the purchase . The only thing we do not like at all is the 2 vertical narrow light at the bottom center of the set that glows bright red when the set is off and bright blue when the set is turned on . It is a major distraction in either mode and is completely , in our opinion , unnecessary . Other than that it is a fine value for the price .
BTW we agree completely with the review by B . Calona posted 11 - 24 - 2008 .
