Hitachi NT50AE2 18-Gauge 5/8-Inch to 2-Inch Brad Nailer

  • 015 4  The one thing that swayed me to this model was definitely a key advantage . With this nailer , the safety slide peg is mounted behind the nail channel , which means you can get nails into tighter spots with this model than you can with others . The Bostich and others have the slide out in front of the nail channel which means the brad comes out about a quarter inch back from the forward-most part of the tool tip . With this Hitachi the brad comes out at the very front , which is very nice when putting nails in tight corners . This tool is so handy and does such a nice job , I wonder what would ever make me buy a finish nailer . I'm pretty sure this brad nailer would do those jobs for me too . Three minor disadvantages drop this to a 4 - star rating ( reallly 4.5 ) , but it's not because I think there's a better one out there , it's just that there's room for improvement . 1 . It's not oil-free . Not a big deal but it would be nicer to not have to bother with oil . 2 . The lightest ( shallowest ) nail depth setting is still a little too powerful . With short brads in soft material many were penetrating too deep . It would be nice to be able to go a little shallower by a step or two . 3 . The case is compact and handy , but there's no extra space in there to put nails or oil . Luckily they molded a spot for safety glasses ( included ) which I have emptied out to store my oil and a few brads there instead . I always have safety glasses with me anyway so that space is better used for nailer-specific items . There is extra volume inside there but its molded over in plastic so you can't use it . Again , nobody else seems to do a better job of this , but that doesn't mean it couldn't be improved . In summary , a great tool . I can't believe I lived so long without it . A brad nailer makes many jobs much easier , allowing me to do things I couldn't do before with just two hands .
    • 001 4  This is one of the best tools I have ever had . Operates flawlessly every time . I use Bostich nails / brads because they are easier to find ( all sizes up to 2 ) and the nailer works perfectly . The height adjustment is easy . The jam release mechanism is great - but the tool has never jammed . Excellent Product ! James Willard
    • 002 4  This is by far the best brad nailer I have ever used in my 20 years as a trim carpenter . It is very light weight , powerfull , and looks great too ! Hitachi has always been a pro-quality grade tool and this brad nailer is a great addition to there collection of pro-quality tools .
    • 004 4  The price was more than right . This is an excellent deal . I used Milwaukee brads for it , and no jams so far . It would be nice if it had a better tip on it though . Comparing price and value with other brands , I would buy this one again . Up until 6 months ago I never knew Hitachi made good tools . Hitachi is my preferred brand for pneumatic right now . The only guns I probably wouldnt buy are their framing nailers , only because the PC is so much cheaper and does the job so well . Buy this gun , you can't go wrong . Along with the tip , the thing that really puzzles me is , I can go buy a $20 no name gun kit , and IT INCLUDES OIL IN THE CASE ! ( not to mention a couple thousand nails ) Here I buy a Hitachi , and not a drop . How about including a small bottle of oil guys ? The fifty cents it would cost the company would be well worth it to build greater brand loyalty .
    • 005 4  Its very light and does everything right but its the loudest brad nailer Ive ever used . Its louder than my finish nailer . Use ear protection with this gun .
    • 006 4  Excellent gun for the money ( Amazon sale gave additional 10% off ) . Extremely light . . . almost feels like a toy . Sinks the nail 99.9% but that's mainly due to the safety holding it away from the surface though I haven't used it on much hardwood beside poplar yet . It is fairly loud compared to other guns , so less one star for that .
    • 007 4  I got this brad nailer as a back up to my Stanley Bostitch nailer and it feels more balanced than my Bostitch . As others have mentioned , the the gun ships in a case without oil ! I don't really mind it at all because I have lots of oil lyring around . But for those who are just starting out with pneumatic nailer , you should get some oil before you start firing nails with it . I like that fact that it has the sequential trip and the bump fire built into the gun at the flip of the switch , a feature that my Bostitch does not have . It sinks nails well and countersinks it to the right depth once adjusted properly . I use combination of Porter Cable as well as Bostitch brand brads and not had a jam or misfire yet . I have test fired it very rapidly ( 3 - 4 brads per second ) in sequential fire and bump fire mode and also not jammed . I would have given it 5 stars if not for 2 small things which I found can be improved . The depth of drive adjustment wheel is easier to turn . It's located between the magazine and the nose . Not the easiest to turn if your fingers are not dexterous . My Bostitch had the adjustment wheel located in front of the nose . Secondly , the exhaust swivels 360 with some detents . But I think the exhaust can be improved because it ' s only a cheap piece of plastic held in place by a ring groove . Not very easy to adjust the exhaust unlike the bostitch which has the exhaust adjustment incoporated into the top cap . But overall , it's a well built gun and will buy it again and will recomend to friends if the sale comes around once again . Much better than some POS that is made in cheap china factory with no QC .
    • 008 4  I had used a Bostich brad nailer of the same configuration and I found the Hitachi to have a better feel to it ; it is lighter and packs a nice punch . There is one feature the Bostich has that I wish the Hitachi had and that is the oiling ; the Bostich does not require oiling while the Hitachi does ; no big deal , it is just not convenient and easy to feorget .
    • 009 4  Pro : Excellent feel and worked flawlessly during two weeks of remodeling . Great on baseboards , moldings , cabinets , etc . . This is the perfect nailer for working around the house . Got this from Amazon for less than $60 with no tax and free shipping . $90 + tax at Lowe's . Con : The no-mar tip could be better because it made very small dents . No oil included . A bit loud . Still 5 stars because it's a wonderful tool compared to other nailers I used before .
    • 012 4  Bang for your buck , this thing is awesome ! Nice features and controls , a full 2 capacity and very light weight . I particularly like the no tool jamb clearing ( although I have yet to have a jam with Senco and Porter Cable brads ) , no trigger change to go from bump fire to sequential fire mode , 360 degree movable exhaust port and quick depth of drive changes . It even comes with a air hose fitting ! At this price , I wish I had purchase one a long time ago !
    • 014 4  Like a previous reviewer this was purchased for my fiancee who is an artist and required quite a bit of canvas stretchers , framing , and finish work for her paintings . We had ( against my better judgement ) tried an electric solution , which as expected failed miserably . It was slightly difficult to convince her that this WAS the solution , and would not compicate her task ( s ) . I cannot subtract any stars due to no oil , or brads in the case as that is how it was described . It would have been nice , but I purchased oil and brads seperately . The nailer is incredibly light , balanced , and easy for her to use . Have used the largest brads allowable in this nailer , and have had complete success even when nailing red oak , which is notably a very hard wood , and the nails are sunk flush with no marring . Add a few drops of oil before using it for the day , load it up , and nail all day long . No misfires , jams , or or any issues whatsoever . Because this was purchased for her , and not for myself , noise , weight , and ease of use were paramount , and it excels in each of these areas . Highly recommend it . Purchased the following with this nailer , and they work flawlessly together . DEWALT D55140 Heavy-Duty 1 Gallon 135 PSI Max Trim Compressor Premium Yellow Rubber Air Hose - 3 / 8 x 25 , 300 PSI - 3825R300 , by Goodyear - Goodyear - 3825R300 Senco A209909 18 - Gauge-by - 1 - 2 - Inch Electro Galvanized Variety Pack Brads
    • 016 4  This was a replacement nailer for a Craftsman that just wore out . It performs as expected - nothing more and nothing less . Worth the price . I recommend it .
    • 018 4  I bought this nailer to replace my 16 gauge Campbell-Hausfield nailer ( I used it for trim , and 18 gauge works just as well but leaves smaller holes ) . Well , I got a deal on the aforementioned nailer , and it served it's purpose well . . . this being said , am I glad I bought this new Hitachi nailer ! It is about 4 times as light , and works like a champ . It is super easy to load ( but don't read the instructions , they advised upside down loading ? ! ) , just load it the way that makes sense . Adjusting the nail depth can be made with the same hand holding the gun , with your index finger ( I found reviews saying this was difficult , I found it easy and frees up your other hand ) . It has yet to jam on me . I add oil fairly frequently , so hopefully it lasts a long time . I have a hard time imagining what another nailer may offer better than what this one has , so for the money , you can't go wrong .
    • 021 4  This brad nailer takes the difficult jobs and makes them fun . I run about 80 PSI on it , and with what I have used it for , it has worked with out a hitch , on long or short nails alike . I would recommend this tool to anyone .
    • 023 4  product exceeded expectations in every way - used for about 3 weeks with no failures . amazon also did another great job in delivering ontime with no issues
    • 025 4  Used this for various little trim jobs . It is simple to use and easy to adjust as necessary . No misfires . Best nailer for the money .
    • 027 4  I bought this to replace those cheap nailers you get at Harbor Freight . This Hitachi doesn't jam , works everytime . Easy to handle and load . No disappointments .
    • 028 4  This is my favorite nailer ! It is so comfortable to use . The grip is great , the weight is light , and the balance is perfect . The 360 degree swivel exhaust is great as well . I don't have to worry about exhaust blowing in my face if I position it correctly . Some fault the tip , but I think it is a plus . The small footprint of the tip really helps me see exactly where the nail will be driven . I prefer this style tip to the large one on the 16 ga . Hitachi . Although it's never had a jam , I think the jam clearing mechanism would be a big time saver if I ever have to clear one . The power behind this nailer is amazing as well . It kicks back more and has a higher pressure operating range than some of the competition . It should operate through the entire range of wood densities without issue . I've personally not tried wood more dense than oak , but it was a cinch for this nailer and I'd expect more dense woods to be also . I like this nailer so much , I almost bought a second when I saw it on sale . As only an amateur weekend woodworker , I decided the second nailer was overkill . For anyone looking to buy a brad nailer , I would highly recommend picking this one up when it's on sale ( it frequently is ) .
    • 030 4  I've had this since last year now . I hate to write reviews before I've had a chance to actually use the product for awhile . In that time , it's fed absolutely flawlessly and I couldn't ask for a better performing nailer . It's light and easy to maneuver , has plenty of capacity , and all controls work as intended . You can get this for a song from time to time from amazon . I think it's a great buy on a great little tool .
    • 031 4  Great nailer , very light in the hands and seems to work flawlessly , only problem is a should have bought one sooner . Do yourself a favor and pick of of these up for your home projects .
    • 033 4  Used it for several months , comes in very handy . The nailer is very light , easy to load and good safety fitures would highly reccomend . . scott bowron Canutillo , tx
    • 034 4  Not a Cadillac , but you are not paying for one either . A great daily use nailer at a great value .
    • 037 4  Awsome nailer . I'm glad I bought it , and even more so that I bought the factory rebuilt tool . I'm not a professional builder , just an advanced handy home owner . This tool has cut my labor time by about 75% and it's cheap . You do need an air compressor , but I had that . It's a well constructed professional grade tool that meets my needs .
    • 039 4  Handles well , takes all types of the commonly available nails , comes with case and glasses. This is a first type of item for me , have never used one before , but I am pleased with results after putting some light bookcases together . I am a confirmed electrical tool man , but for some jobs it makes sense to go pneumatic
    • 042 4  i just bought this nailer and i love it . it countersinks that brads just right and i tried on some oak that i have and still worked perfectly . i compared to the p / c brad nailer that i have and it feels much better than the p / c and to top it off it also has more features when this one wears out im buying another one
    • 043 4  Tool works great at what it is designed to do ; drive brads . Very satisfied with performance . Watch out for the air exhaust . If you have your face too close to the exhaust the blast of air is dangerous . Wear the safety glasses provided . Amazon has the best prices and service .
    • 047 4  the Hitachi brad nailer i recently purchased did exactly what a brad nailer is supposed to do , and thats to nail.so far i have shot four boxes of brads with out a jam.it works well , is lightweight , andeasy to use.Just one thing though make sure you have air tool oil on hand as it is not included with the tool .
    • 049 4  I purchased this product because of the positive reviews I read . I have used it a little and found that it works perfect . No jams , no problems . Very light weight . I very happy with this purchase
    • 050 4  Got this brad nailer as a Christmas gift two years ago . As soon as I started using it I began wondering how I ever did anything without it .
    • 052 4  I've only used this nailer a few times , and I don't have any other 18 - ga nailers with which to compare it , so all I've got is a few observations : The nails are a bit tricky to load - - you have to get them positioned exactly right for the slide to close . The guide could be a little more intuitive , I think . Once they're loaded , they feed perfectly . The interlock ( the piece that keeps the nailer from firing unless it's pressed against the workpiece ) is positioned such that shooting certain angles is quite difficult . I was nailing some quarter-round and found it fairly tricky to get the position exactly right . A few of the nails didn't counter-sink because of the way that interlock is positioned . That said , the function was smooth , and I have no real regrets about buying it .
    • 053 4  I have only tried this out on some trim but so far it works very well . It has a good consistant depth of drive and it is easy to adjust . The manual says to only use Hitachi brad nails but i have been using Senco ( the multi pack ) and they work just fine . I would definately recommend this tool , it is light weight , powerful , and easy to use . Don't forget to add a drop of oil before each use and always wear ear protection .
    • 055 4  I mainly use this nailer to hold pieces together while glue dries . Essentially , it is replacing clamps and really speeding up my builds . The work flow goes cut-glue-tack-tack-tack . . . next piece . No waiting for glue to dry , just press on . It reliably feeds the Bostich brads that are so easy to find . The only problem I've had was my own mistake in driving brads that were too long for the pieces I was fastening together . If I was using a hammer , I'd have noticed . With a nailer , well , there were a lot of brads driven before I noticed . It is very easy to drive a lot of brads without thinking much about it . I'm quite happy with this gizmo . It turns big projects into quicker smaller projects .
    • 056 4  The site was very user friendly , I received my new nail gun on time . . . and the price was more than fair . . .45% below retail store price at Lowe's . Will recommend and use again when the need arises ! - Darell K -
    • 058 4  I'm a woman just beginning to use power tools and my first project has been to trim some windows . I bought this and a Bostich compressor and went to town . Very easy to use , very reasonably priced and it made my project so much easier to accomplish . I also have bought an Hitachi impact driver and I am very pleased with it also thus far . Next : miter saw .
    • 059 4  I am a carpenter by trade and I use my nailer in my woodworking shop and for trim jobs . It works great and I have never had a jam . It has a adjustment where you can easily adjust the depth of the nail head which I find is easy to use and is great . Mine came with a swiveling connector that you attatch your air hose to which is very nice . I bought my nailer reconditioned for a slightly cheaper price and it looked good as new . I would recommend this nailer to anyone , the price is great and it works flawlessly . I own a number of Hitachi tools and the new tools I am buying are Hitachi also . I would buy this nailer again .
    • 063 4  This is my first nail gun . Don't know how I ever did home improvement projects without one . The size , weight , and operation of this unit is top notch . Easy to use and operate . I would recommend this unit to anyone . Great deal and very good quality !
    • 065 4  I borrowed one of these from a friend to do some kitchen cabinetry , and several window valences for our house . It was so handy , and made things so much easier , that I just had to have one of my own . That fact became even more evident when I learned the friend would be moving away in a few months and I wouldn't be able to borrow it again ! Bummer ; but I got a new tool out of it . This is a great nailer for the range of sizes it supports ( 3 / 4 up to 2 inches ) . Easy to use , care for ; everything .
    • 067 4  This is an all around good gun . Not the best of the best but it does a great job . I own a few others of diff brands but this one is the loudest . It does not have a belt hook but easily added on . Nice and light .
    • 069 4  I love this nailer . It is very easy to use and it never jams . I recommend it to everybody .
    • 073 4  I have used it for about six months and can't believe you can get this quality for this price .
    • 075 4  I've used a few different brands of air nailers , but this is absolutely the best of the bunch . You can stop your search and just buy the Hitachi .
    • 077 4  This is my second brad nailer for my recently purchased 2 - Gallon compressor . Works as advertised , perfect nails punched in each time . One of the best values in tools ( costing much more in local supply stores ) . Makes me see Hitachi as a legitimate tool maker .
    • 078 4  I've never used a nailer before , so i didn't know what to expect , but this unit has worked great every nail so far . We are using 2 brads to nail baseboard and steps and have gone through maybe two or three hundred without a misfire . The nails are fully seated at 90 psi . Quality of the device seems very good and it is very simple to load and use . Just slide the nail holder cover open , set in a nail strip , close the cover , hook up the air and your ready to go , 30 seconds tops . There is a dual action switch , bump or trigger shoot , but I have only used it on trigger single shot so far . As I say it's the first nailer I have ever used , but so far it is all good !
    • 079 4  This is the first time I used a nailer . It was flawless . What a great way to drive nails rather than hammer ! I will be purchasing another heavier nailer to do larger work in the future . No more hammering ! I can't compare , but for the price , I'd say buy one .
    • 080 4  An excellent tool . It is light and still powerful . Capable of shooting a range of nails with power left over . At first I was concerned about the quality at this price . Do not be concerned , the build quality is excellent . It can hold it's own or better to any of the major brands . A important factor for me was that the safety release is behind , not in front , allowing a clear view of nail position .
    • 081 4  I give it 4 stars only because the gun's switch for automatic ( pressure sensitive ) firing doesn't work , otherwise a great gun , looks kinda silly but is comfortable and reliable , which is what counts .
    • 083 4  Like most of the other reviews , I found this gun to work very well . I recently installed new baseboard moulding in my basement and bought this to replace a cheapie refurbished nailer . The difference was drastic ; I'd say I put in about 75 nails and there wasn't a single misfire , double-fire , or jam . The only drawback is the noise ; it's pretty loud compared to other nailers I've used . Overall , this is a great gun for a DIYer . Actually , I'd say that about all the Hitachi power tools I've purchased .
    • 085 4  If you need a tough , reliable brad nailer that you can depend on every day , buy this Hitachi . You will not be disapointed .
    • 089 4  This is another great nailer tool from Hitachi . Can't add alot to what has already been said , but I really like this gun . Light and easy to use . Good precision in getting the nail where you want it . A pleasure to use . The only small negative I have with the gun is that it is a bit noisy . I wear ear protection ( but just cuz I want to keep my hearing in tip top shape , I don't think it would be a requirement ) . Great nailer .
    • 091 4  There are probably a lot of good nailers out there , but this one is definitely a good one .
    • 094 4  When buying with Amazon , you can always count on getting Brand new in the box item . The price plus free shipping is a steal .
    • 095 4  I've only used it once and this is the first air nailer I've ever owned so factor that in . My gf is an artist and asked me to construct canvases made of pine 1 x 2 frame with 1 / 4 luaun on top . The canvases are 4 ' x 7 ' . The nailer worked great , driving the brads flush to the surface without making undue indentations . My only gripe is that about 5% of the brads I inserted , bent as they were being driven and curled out of the 1 x 2 s at odd angles . I was somewhat surprised as pine is so soft . I suspect that either these brads hit hard knots or 2 brads are just too long . In any case , I might just end up getting a finish nailer . Also , it should include the oil . . . ?
    • 096 4  The gun was in good condition , but the details of the product never told me that I would need a air pressure tank . This may seem like a no brainer to some people , but not all . So I had to return it .

  • 061 4  I bought this gun several weeks ago , right out of the case , which is a must have , it works perfectly , was doing a kitchen remodel , so far have used it on all , crown molds , all lower cabnit trim , and baseboards as well , using , 5 / 8 1 1 / 4 2 brads , any brand seems to work fine , between 70 , and 80 lbs psi , perfect sink , every time , just fire a couple test strikes , to get a feel for it in old board . have 2 other nail guns , and pin nailer . if your looking for a nailgun to do work around the house , and other projects , u can t go wrong for the price .
    • 011 4  As a homeowner and not a contractor , I can not comment on the durabiliy of this nailer , or how many mis-fires I had every thousand nails . I had some finish work I was doing when I ordered this item and it worked flawless . It is light and good quality , I was nailing 2 brads into Oak and it was excellent . For the do it yourselfer , this is a great product at a reasonable price .
    • 040 4  I purchased this Hitachi 2 brad nailer to replace a Ridgid 2 nailer that would occasionally jam . This is the first Hitachi tool I have ever purchased and it has performed well beyond my expectations . This gun has worked flawlessly without jamming and uses both Porter Cable and Craftsman nails . The Hitachi nailer is super lightweight and the depth of drive sets easily . I would highly recommend this nailer based on both its performance and great value .
    • 041 4  Best price here on Amazon for the Hitachi . I've had 2 Bostitch , and 2 Porter Cable 18 gauge nail guns , time for another brand . I go to Amazon for this stuff now . This actually arrived before Christmas during the rush mailing season , which was a surprise .
    • 087 4  Light , reliable , and up to 2 pins . Great ! I own a Hitachi finish and framer as well , all great and flawless . Plus the price is right .

  • Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) Like a previous reviewer this was purchased for my fiancee who is an artist and required quite a bit of canvas stretchers , framing , and finish work for her paintings . • 017 4  This nailer was very affordable an it works great . I used it for face nailing a hickory hardwood floor and all the finish work ( baseboards , door and window trim ) . I couldn't be happier with the product .

    • 026 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I bought this to replace those cheap nailers you get at Harbor Freight . This Hitachi doesn't jam , works everytime . Easy to handle and load . No disappointments .
    • 029 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I've had this since last year now .

    • 038 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) Handles well , takes all types of the commonly available nails , comes with case and glasses. This is a first type of item for me , have never used one before , but I am pleased with results after putting some light bookcases together . I am a confirmed electrical tool man , but for some jobs it makes sense to go pneumatic
    • 044 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) Have not used the gun long enough to tell you about durability but it rather similar to it's big brother - Hitachi NT65MA2 15 Gauge 1 - 1 / 4 - Inch to 2 1 / 2 - Inch Angled Finish Nailer ( which I have plenty of hours on over the years ) but with minor but important upgrade - side loading of nails . This may not seem important to some but on many trim applications you are not always using the same length nail . You can have several guns on your hip or you swap out the nails to fit the application . Side loading offers a couple of advantages - can easily remove and install ( compared to rear loading ) and it is easy to determine what length nail is in the gun . This will save you big time - in frustration and time ! Other features - good line of sight , jamb release ( never jambed yet but it is there ) , fire modes ( really ? for trim ? ) adjustable exhaust , normal stuff any nail gun should have . I now have many of the newer Hitachi stuff to mate with some of the old and cosmetics don't really matter to me - they all work flawlessly . As long as they keep doing that I am happy . At this price it is a no brainer - get it !

    • 046 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) the Hitachi brad nailer i recently purchased did exactly what a brad nailer is supposed to do , and thats to nail.so far i have shot four boxes of brads with out a jam.it works well , is lightweight , andeasy to use.Just one thing though make sure you have air tool oil on hand as it is not included with the tool .
    • 048 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I purchased this product because of the positive reviews I read . I have used it a little and found that it works perfect . No jams , no problems . Very light weight . I very happy with this purchase
    • 051 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I've only used this nailer a few times , and I don't have any other 18 - ga nailers with which to compare it , so all I've got is a few observations : The nails are a bit tricky to load - - you have to get them positioned exactly right for the slide to close .
    • 054 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I mainly use this nailer to hold pieces together while glue dries .
    • 057 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I'm a woman just beginning to use power tools and my first project has been to trim some windows . I bought this and a Bostich compressor and went to town . Very easy to use , very reasonably priced and it made my project so much easier to accomplish . I also have bought an Hitachi impact driver and I am very pleased with it also thus far . Next : miter saw .
    • 060 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I bought this gun several weeks ago , right out of the case , which is a must have , it works perfectly , was doing a kitchen remodel , so far have used it on all , crown molds , all lower cabnit trim , and baseboards as well , using , 5 / 8 1 1 / 4 2 brads , any brand seems to work fine , between 70 , and 80 lbs psi , perfect sink , every time , just fire a couple test strikes , to get a feel for it in old board . have 2 other nail guns , and pin nailer . if your looking for a nailgun to do work around the house , and other projects , u can t go wrong for the price .
    • 062 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) This is my first nail gun . Don't know how I ever did home improvement projects without one . The size , weight , and operation of this unit is top notch . Easy to use and operate . I would recommend this unit to anyone . Great deal and very good quality !
    • 064 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I borrowed one of these from a friend to do some kitchen cabinetry , and several window valences for our house .
    • 066 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) This is an all around good gun . Not the best of the best but it does a great job . I own a few others of diff brands but this one is the loudest . It does not have a belt hook but easily added on . Nice and light .
    • 068 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I love this nailer . It is very easy to use and it never jams . I recommend it to everybody .
    • 070 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) used this brad nailer for over a thousands nails sizes from 1 / 2 inch to 2 inch , not one jam or problems , i oil before each use , 10 drops , had it for three months , and it has worked perfectly so far , love this gun , 70 dollars is a bargain for this item , used different brad nails from lowes and home depot , including ones with a brown colored tip without a jam , don't know how easy it is to clear a jam if i get one , read the instructions and seem easy , hopefully ill never have to find out . . .
    • 072 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I have used it for about six months and can't believe you can get this quality for this price .
    • 074 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) I've used a few different brands of air nailers , but this is absolutely the best of the bunch . You can stop your search and just buy the Hitachi .
    • 076 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) This is my second brad nailer for my recently purchased 2 - Gallon compressor . Works as advertised , perfect nails punched in each time . One of the best values in tools ( costing much more in local supply stores ) . Makes me see Hitachi as a legitimate tool maker .
    • 082 4  Hitachi NT50AE2 18 Gauge 3 / 4 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer We needed to replace the base board , door , and window trim at our farm house . I gave my wife about five minutes of OJT ( on the job training ) and have yet to get to use the gun myself . Worked great out of the nice included tool case . Great for light trim work .
    • 084 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) If you need a tough , reliable brad nailer that you can depend on every day , buy this Hitachi . You will not be disapointed .
    • 086 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) Light , reliable , and up to 2 pins . Great ! I own a Hitachi finish and framer as well , all great and flawless . Plus the price is right .
    • 088 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) This is another great nailer tool from Hitachi .
    • 090 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) There are probably a lot of good nailers out there , but this one is definitely a good one .
    • 092 4  This review is from : Hitachi NT50AE2 18 - Gauge 5 / 8 - Inch to 2 - Inch Brad Nailer ( Tools & Hardware ) Just got this not long ago . Did some test firing in junk 2x4 ' s . Turning down the pressure reduces the dents but does not guarantee the pin will sink all the way . Any suggestions . Are the new ones any better ?
