Godzilla Unleashed

  • Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I used to own Destroy All Monsters Melee back in the day . I loved it and despite it's flaws it was a fun fighting game for a Godzilla fan . Not long after that I played Save The Earth . I never owned it so I didn't get to play it much . I got to try the monsters that weren't in DAMM and that was great . Recently I had a weird itch to play a Godzilla game . I had sold DAMM awhile ago so I thought this would be the best option . I saw the roaster and I was quite pleased with the vast variety of characters . The game also has some pretty positive ratings here . So I bought it . Graphics : Horrible . This game doesn't look much better then the previous Godzilla games , in fact it looks worse then I remember those looking . Maybe my 360 has been spoiling me with fancy graphics but this game is just ugly . Even the monster models don't look all that impressive . I'm using the component cables so maybe that's why . They seem to make games look even worse because the Wii really wasn't meant for HD gaming . While I'm here I might as well mention the cut scenes . They're by far the laziest I've ever seen . They're just still images with people talking . They're not even animated . I question if they were even trying . Sound : The sound in this game is decent . The monster roars range from good to bad . Some of them are clear and others sounds like they're muffled . There's also some horrible voice acting . I don't know if they did this on purpose to be funny , like the badly dubbed movies , but it's just plain awful . I skipped all the cut scenes because they not only drag on forever but they're painful to listen to . The humans yelling about who to attack gets annoying too . Focus your attack on . . . . . Godzilla ! There's this awkward pause in between everything they say because they only recorded the lines once so they could insert the monster name separately . I can see why they did that but they didn't blend it very well at all . Story : There isn't one really and honestly there doesn't need to be . Some aliens called the Vortakk are attacking Earth and there's crystals popping up everywhere giving monsters crazy powers . Then there's some general dude with a stupid looking tank that has a drill on the front that wants revenge on whatever monster you're playing as . Honestly it's not a very good story and like I said watching the cut scenes is painful so it's just not worth your time to care . Here's the story , I'm a giant monster and I want to beat the crap out of other giant monsters . Controls : This is where the game takes a turn down Crap Street . The controls in this game are quite possibly the worst controls I've ever experienced . They are broken to no end . First off whoever decided that flicking the joystick should be jump needs to be fired . So should the person who thought flicking both the wiimote and joystick at the same time should be grab . You use the 1 button to turn on power ups and the 2 button to taunt . There's still the d-pad which has 4 fully functional buttons on it that you're not using . Taunt should have been down on the D-pad like in Smash Brothers because you're never going to use it anyway . All it does it leave you open for attack because you can't stop it once you've started it . The 1 button should have been jump and the 2 button for power ups . Better yet the 2 button for grabs and up , left , or right for power ups . Aside from having the stupidest activation the grab move only works when it feels like it . Every time I try to pick up a building it works fine with no problems at all . When I try to use it on a monster I end up jumping into the air or it just doesn't let me grab them . Some monsters can't be grabbed , the flying ones , and others just parry you when you do finally grab them . The Grab move , when it does work , is quite useful especially against enemies that like to sit there and block everything . Another annoying thing is the game glitches , sometimes several times a match , and my character gets stuck running until I unplug the nunchuck . This has never happened to me on any other games so it has to be this one . Before I finish off the controls I want to mention the jumping one more time . If you even slightly move your wrists while playing this you'll be flying all over the place . Maybe I don't sit still enough and that's why but I end up jumping on accident 90% of the time . Most of the time I'm trying to do the heavy attacks , which is waving the wiimote around . When I wave the wiimote my other hand tends to move as well which causes me to leap into the air . It gets very frustrating very fast . I actually had to lower the difficultly to easy because the controls are such a handicap . Gameplay : There's zero strategy involved . You sit there and pound on enemies till they die . You can fire your beams at them but that doesn't usually do enough damage to be worth it and I noticed unless you're hitting an enemy from behind with it the beam attacks won't finish off a health bar and you have to hit them to kill them . Shooting a beam up close is just asking for your opponent to activate theirs and cause you both to go flying onto your backs . Sometimes it takes so long to land a blow on a monster that they regenerate before you can finish them off . This happens a lot when fighting Mothra who always does this block move that stuns you for a second . Mothra and the flying bunch are by far the most annoying monsters to fight . They're hard to hit except with beams and buildings but I refuse to carry out an entire fight lobbing buildings at a monster and waiting for yellow crystals to appear so I can recharge my energy bar fast enough to make it matter . Onto story mode it has a loyalty system . You start out with a faction and you gain points with them depending on what you do in a fight . If you have the choice to fight monsters from two factions the one you finish off first you lose points with and the one you let live you gain points . Sometimes the game gives you a lose lose option where you have to do stuff that causes you to lose points with your own faction . I once had to either destroy crystals or defeat Gigan . Well Gigan was on my team and therefore not attacking me so I opted to destroy the crystals . When I did the game took away 15 points from my faction , which was Aliens , and then gave me 10 back for not killing Gigan . It makes no sense what so ever , especially when they explain the crystals aren't the aliens doing anyways . I think I covered how bad and annoying the combat is enough so I'll let that rest . I must say before I finish with the gameplay that the freeze ray tanks are ungodly annoying . They say they're going to target one monster and half the time they end up freezing both of you . The freezing allows for a free hit but if everyone gets frozen what's the point ? Also most of the time you will be frozen last so they will break out first and pound the crap out of you . This seriously isn't one of those fighting games where everyone says it's bad but if you're that special kind of person whose super patient you can figure out how to play it and it becomes good . This game is just horrible and broken period . Extras : To this games credit there's quite a bit to unlock . However to unlock things you need points and to get points you have to play story mode . You don't get them doing multiplayer , not that you'd want to wish this on your friends let along 3 of them . So you have to play story mode with almost everyone . Some of the stuff is really expensive . You could play story mode twice and still not have enough points for some of the more expensive monsters . There's this rating system at the end of every event and you get points based off the things you did . One is defeating monsters and if you don't land the last blow you don't get any points for beating a monster . You could be the one who takes all it's health away but if some other monster comes up and coughs on it then you don't get credit for defeating it . On top of characters to unlock there's arenas and bonus artwork . The artwork gets expense too and you'd be insane to spend the time needed to get all of it . The roster is cool and the bonus characters are all good for the most part . I don't like Krystalak or Obsidius at all . I think they're stupid looking and unoriginal . They were created for the game . I guess because they couldn't put Kong in they opted for a giant rock monkey . Some of the characters can't be unlocked by simply playing the game either . To earn them you have to do some secret stuff that's pretty damn cryptic and then buy them as well . Honestly reminds me of the crap old games used to pull to get people to buy guides . Overall : Honestly if this game wasn't Godzilla no one would be playing it . There is not a single redeeming quality here aside from an impressive character roster . The older games play better then this and the annoying things I could have normally overlooked I can't because of how bad the controls are . Maybe the PS2 version is better because of the controls . Honestly I bought the Wii one for the exclusive characters . If Nintendo wasn't dead set on force feeding us they're crappy Wiimote and gimmicky motion controls I could have enjoyed this game with the classic controller . So if you're looking for a great Godzilla game look elsewhere . I suggest Save the Earth or DAMM . If you can live without 1954 Godzilla , Varan , King Caesar , Mechagodzilla 1 , Titanosaurus , Biollante , Battra , and the two crappy new characters you can live with Save the Earth . I personally don't care about most of those characters and really was only excited about Biollante , who is the easiest monster to beat so I'm not very impressed with her . If you're a huge Godzilla fan who has to have this game then I'd opt for the PS2 one , it'll cause less frustration I'm sure .
    • 001 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) Let me preface this by saying that I'm a big Godzilla fan who enjoyed the previous two entries into this series , Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee and Godzilla Save The Earth even though they were flawed games . I have been awaiting Godzilla Unleashed since summer and it is one of the reasons I picked up a Nintendo Wii . While Godzilla Unleashed is far from a perfect game , I am very happy with it and would recommend it without reservations to any Godzilla fan . The game features an almost perfect roster of Toho monsters , some of whom have never appeared in a video game before . The game also features innovative controls that make use of the Wiimote / nunchuck setup and a nonlinear story mode in which choices made during the game influence what you encounter later in the story . And , of course , there are many options for multiplayer which has always been the cornerstone for these Atari Godzilla games . All of the above are executed with varying levels of quality . My criticisms of the game are that the controls are a little tricky to master ( but that may not be a bad thing ) , the story mode and crystal power ups are needlessly complicated , the system for unlocking new monsters is hilariously arcane ( buy x faction and use x monster on x day and destroy three crystals x then go back the next day and fight another monster during the new moon then circle around three times then say MOGUERA three times while facing north ) and I much preferred the more straight forward system used in DAMM where completing the game with different monsters unlocks new monsters . I would have been honestly happy with a graphically improved version of STE with more monsters and a simpler version of this single player mode . But ultimately all of that doesn't take too much away from the experience of the game . As a Godzilla fan , there is an undeniable thrill from seeing new characters like Biollante , Titanosaurus , Varan , and the orginal 70 ' s Mechagodzilla ( who is animated with all of his stiffly robotic glory ) appear in the game . Next time they need to throw in Zilla and Hedorah to have a perfect roster .

    • 005 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) The controls take getting used to , but once you do it is very fun . I recommend starting at easy then work your way up to medium or hard . The graphics are great , detailed skin textures , you can even see the MG on Mechagodzilla's ( 1974 ) arm . Beam fights are much easier to do , simply shaking the controller . Grappling is frustrating . Some bugs , aiming can be an issue and Megalon can't aim if his life depended on it . The sound is great and the monsters look great . Godzilla 90 ' s LOOKS like Godzilla 90 ' s . They even gave him the booming gutteral roar he had in the first 2 Hesei films ( 1984 - 95 ) . Huge assortment of monsters . Small assortment of cities , stupid story and control issues are the biggest cons . Other than that it still is a very enjoyable game , since it is Wii and motion sensored , you also get a mini workout too ; )

    • 007 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) This is a great game for the Nintendo Wii ! I had been anticipating this game through out its development . Finally playing it was a pleasant surprise . It's an action game with a melee brawl feel and is a great deal of fun . You will play in large city stages with monsters who are pretty much faithful to the look of their movie counterparts . The are new enhancements like Critical Mass , Power Surges and a layered attack system that are step ups from the first two Atari Godzilla games . You won't find much disappointment at all in this game and it is a lot of fun to play with friends in a Wii party . Even playing alone , there is a lot there to make it worthwhile . With a large cast of monsters for the Wii version , you will find and establish favorites soon enough . For those wondering if you can play a brawl or fighting game with the Wii-mote and Nunchuk , the answer is yes ! I was concerned at first , as I have played mostly fighting and action games and that is pretty much my video game library . The game does have an in-game tutorial and you can explore around and learn the basics of putting all the movements and button presses together . Its as easy as playing Wii sports which so many Wii owners love ( like I do ) ! There is a lot of strategy to this action brawl game and you can have 4 customizable game play modes . You can increase speed or decrease speed of the monsters and also their sizes . You can influence the intensity that the military will attack you , along with determining what types of vehicles that resist your attack on the cities . You can also forge alliances with monsters in the game . You as the player dictates how the game responds to you . You won't regret buying this game ! : )

    • 012 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) This game is very cool . A much bigger upgrade from Saves the Earth however you MUST get this game for the Wii as you can see the reviews for the ps2 version are awful . Lot's more monsters in this , around 26 I believe , they have all the classic godzilla monsters , including Gigan , Rodan , mothra etc . The graphics are superb , from the water to the monsters - it all looks great King Ghidora ( my personal favorite monster ) looks absolutly awesome ! As good as this game is there are a few flaws in my opinion . . . 1 . The targeting system is not the best , I find myself accidently attacking my allies instead of the enemy monster at times or completly missing my fully charge range attack . 2 . Health regain and cut scenes ! As you may no you ragain your health overtime infact quite rapidly when not in combat . In the campaign when your fighting a monster and a new one appears the game goes into a minor cut scene and introduces the new monster , while not a huge issue . . the monster i'm fighting at the time regins almost half of it's hp during the cut scene . 3 . Monster Unlocks ! ! ! While most of the monsters are simple to get a few of them require you to do some annoying things . . . example , do campaign with x monster of x faction and beat x level then come back to x level and destroy the x building and defeat x monster . Not all the monsters are this complicated to unlock but a few are . . . this can get a bit annoying . But despite these issues this is a great game ! ! ! If your a fan of the previous two of the series then you will absolutly love this .

    • 016 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I have a 4 year old and a thirteen year old . My 4 year old loves all Godzilla products including movies . This was bought for him . They both love it . The neighborhood kids love it . One child is 5 and the other is 9 . They all want to come to play Godzilla . I would recommend this product even if your child is not into Godzilla . There are many animals you can battle with . As you battle you unlock many new creatures . Kim in Michigan

    • 018 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I followed the development of this title by way of the Godzilla.com website and Toho Kingdom for nearly a year prior to its release , and I was practically foaming at the mouth when the release date finally arrived . The only problem is that this game just plain isn't finished . There is a litany of glitches and bugs that should have been fixed during play-testing and quality control but still crop up like worms in an apple . Certain characters have non-functional or glitchy moves ( Kiryu , the newest version of MechaGodzilla , has a super attack called the Absolute Zero Cannon that uses all of his energy and theoretically freezes a foe solid . The only problem is that rather than firing straight ahead as intended it fires uselessly into the ground at his feet . ) , other characters occasionally cause the game to crash ( That's you Mothra . ) and still others are either partial or total clones or are just plain designed badly . ( Specifically , two versions of MechaGodzilla share something like 40% of their move sets , while two versions of Godzilla are completely identical except for their names and coloration . ) Even one of the bosses , a flying battleship called the Atragon , will sometimes glitch up and begin firing uselessly up at the sky . This is made all the more frustrating because Atari has blithely informed gamers that no patch is forthcoming . Perhaps the reason that this is so disappointing is that it is still obvious from playing Godzilla Unleashed that it was on the very cusp of being a must-own title for the Wii . It has an ambitious , if not fully realized , story mode , far more monsters than any other Godzilla game , and gameplay , when it actually works , is pretty fun . The controls , much maligned in many magazine reviews , take some getting used to , but are no more complicated than any other Wii game and in general are fairly responsive . ( The layered attack system that was meant to be the centerpiece of the Wii control layout for GU has been largely removed , but the motion-based controls really do a good job of letting you pull off your moves regardless of the camera angle , since inputs are relative to the player rather than the character on screen . ) In all honesty , if you plan on having a few friends to play with most of the time , this game is pretty fun . I should also mention that the graphics , particularly the monsters themselves , are some of the best on the Wii . At this point you may be asking if there are any problems outside of the glitches . Unfortunately yes . For one thing , you begin the game with only a handful of monsters and cities unlocked . To get more you have to earn points by playing the various game modes . Granted , you earn points for doing pretty much anything , but you don't earn very many unless you're playing the game on the higher difficulty settings . Because of this , it takes an infernally long time to unlock all the characters . Second , there are only a handful of endings in the story mode , which makes the endless playthroughs that you must endure to unlock everything seem much more monotonous . Finally , a weird game mechanic has been introduced whereby monsters cannot actually defeat one another with their projectile attacks . ( Except for MechaGodzilla ' 74 , for some reason . ) Keeping in mind that in the movies Godzilla was all about burning his foes into charcoal briquettes , this is a disconcerting and unwelcome chance . You'll end up blasting your foe to the threshold of annihilation , only to have to run up and kick him in the shins to actually bring him down . Strange . In any event , this is a pretty decent Godzilla game , and it's one of the better ( read : only ) fighters available on the Wii . Unlocking everything is a huge chore , but the monsters look nice and overall the game plays well enough , especially with friends . The faction system , whereby your actions during the single player mode cause the computer-controlled monsters to remember you as an ally or enemy in subsequent encounters , is also a neat addition to the game , calling to mind some of the monster team-ups of the 60s and 70s . The main concern I have is all the needless glitches . Now I understand that there are always bugs in any game to some extent , but I've never seen them more front and center than in Godzilla Unleashed . They really do detract from the gameplay , and without them I'd have easily rated Godzilla Unleashed as a four-star game This game is worth checking out , especially for Godzilla fans , but I would have to recommend giving it a rental before dropping $40 on it .

    • 020 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I was surprised at how much fun Godzilla Unleashed has been for me and my family . The game action is great , its easy to understand and start using . if you are a fan of the Godzilla movies , then you will love this . When you first start playing this game it only gives you access to a few monsters , you have to get to new levels and earn points to buy new monsters , or locations to fight in . all in all i would highly recommend this to anyone that loves Godzilla , it might not be as much fun for someone not as familiar with the characters . I have only played this on the Wii , I don't know if its as much fun on other platforms .

    • 022 4  Amazon Verified Purchase ( What's this ? ) This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) First off let me start off this review by saying I know the game visually is a bit lacking in some areas and the interactivity is a bit stiff . That said I enjoy the entertainment on the same level as my son who loves playing this game and is very good with discovering advanced moves even though he is young . I was quite surprised he brought it home as I think he is a little young for monsters however he didnt seem to care . Now that I purchased this game and have a manual I find it to be very fun . We all enjoy the head to head and the 4 way fight with other monsters and sometimes gang up on the computer monsters ha ha . If you are a true fighting gamer I dont think this is for you . If you are a Godzilla fan this is a fun , simple game .

    • 028 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I used to own Destroy All Monsters Melee back in the day .

    • 035 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I love fighting games . MKA on the WII was awesome and in my view the best version of the game with the most fighters . Once again I belive Wii has the best version of this great game . Anyone growing up in the NES era would have given anything for an awesome game like this . All we got was the horrid Godzilla and Godzilla II and more horrid games to follow . Finally after all this time we have Godzilla DAM on GC and this gem on wii . The monsters and arena's are awesome , the moves are great , the controls are quite good , the destruction is second to none , the graphics are spot on and the action is great . The is a very enjoyable game on all fronts for any Godzilla or fighting game fan . Forget MK vs DC garbage games and get this one .
    • 037 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) This is a pretty good game for kaiju fans . Has a nice adventure mode with good fights . Multiplayer is a bit dissapointing . The CPUs won't attack sometimes and just let you beat them to a pulp with no challenge . Also if you pick 2 random monsters to fight , it usually rigs the matches in a certain order so that you keep getting the same matches over and over again . Like for instance , if you get Godzilla vs . Gigan for one match , you're probably gona get that same match-up every other match saddly . It's better just to make your own matches . This game also has some lagg and some minor glitches but its an okay game . It's no Super Smash Bros . Brawl by any means .

    • 039 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) For a Godzilla game , I'd have to say by look alone that this is the best Godzilla that has been released as of now . Too bad that it has some flaws that really drag the score down . One thing about the game is that some of the levels , maybe all , can be beaten without even fighting the monster but just by breaking all of the crystals . I had to fight sometimes because the monsters wouldn't get out of my way , but other than that , breaking the crystals was fine . That's another thing , the controls are confusing ! Even using the tutorial , I can't remember all of those different things I'm supposed to do with my Wii remote to do most of those cool moves . So , I either just get lucky by pressing a lot of buttons or just press A and B a lot . The camera is pretty bad at times as well . Overall , the look of the game is beautiful and there is finally an actually storyline this time instead of just at the beginning and end like the previous two games ! So that's a plus . I'd say that you will like the game if you are a fan of the Big G , but maybe not so much if you aren't

    • 041 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) My brother and I have looked for a decent godzilla game for a long time . We loved the movies but we couldn't find a game that did the movies justice . That was until we found this awesome game . The best part of the game is its award winning roster of monsters . It has fan favorites like Mothra and Rodan and lesser known monsters like Baragon and Varan . Though the story line got a little stupid , but it was still a great game . I was also impressed with the good graphics . Overall , I would say it was a great game !

    • 043 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) Atari's Godzilla game series has started off great with destroy all monsters and was the Godzilla game of them all . realizing the games success Atari released a sequel which was practically the same game with more monsters and power ups . Now mack way for Godzilla unleashed ! This game not only improves the series , it also lets it's self known as the first Godzilla game on the Wii and will without a doubt , satisfy any fan of the series . The game keeps the same basics , but goes in a little deeper by presenting the idea of crystals instead of power ups . The game also took the risk of adding two new monsters ( Kristalak and Obsidius ) with there own unique weaknesses and abilities . They also took godzilla from being the most powerful monster motivating other players to try out new monsters . This game isn't recommended to players with ether of the games prequels because of there extreme simalareties or to a none-Godzilla fan .

    • 047 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) This game has a huge selection of monsters , which is one of its stronger points ( except for the American-made add-ons ) . The rest is organized into the following categories . Graphics : 5 The sad part is that the graphics are probably the best part of the game . Except for some occasional lag , the particle effects and details are incredible . Plot : 2 Lame and uncreative . The usual overused plot of the Vortaak are trying to conquer earth and blah blah blah . . . Gameplay : 3 This game is fun until you get most of the monsters . The funnest part is just going out and having an all out brawl with 3 of your friends . Going through the story and unlocking monsters is fun at first , but quickly becomes redundant . Overall , this game is fun , but lacks replay value unless you have 3 willing victims . . . I mean , friends . Don't try to go out and unlock all of the monsters to start with . Unlock a few more , play with your friends , then save the rest for after you get bored with your other games .
    • 048 4  This game has a huge selection of monsters , which is one of its stronger points ( except for the American-made add-ons ) . • 049 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I just got this game and absolutely LOVE IT ! ! ! My ONLY complaint is the the control scheme . I have become used to it , however I only wish the developers would have allowed us players to map the controls per preference rather than the default setting . It's not that the controls are too hard to learn , just that I'd rather use the C or Z button for jumping , and the B botton for grabbing ( buildings and monsters ) instead of manuevering the nunchuck or both controllers to do these tasks . It's just my own personal preference , that's all . Otherwise the game is great ! ! I love the line up of monsters ( 4 or 5 more would have been even better . . . Kamakurus , Gorgosaurus , Manda , Kumunga , Zilla , Hedora . . . ) but they've included Varan , Titanosaurus and Biolante . . . so that makes up for everything ! ! ! The levels are HUGE ! ! ! ! Much bigger that DAMM or SOTE , and just a little smaller than War of the Monsters . Finally , the graphics are awesome as well . I LOVE ALL the ATARI GODZILLA games and this one is right up there ! ! I hope the Virtual Console imports the NES , SNES and Turbo Graphix Godzilla titles to tie in with this . Those games totally rock too ! ! !
    • 051 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) This is more than any Big G fan could ask for . The roster is amazing for this game 26 monsters in all . The boards and monsters all look great and the controls work pretty well . This was the reason I bought a Wii and I was not disappointed I don't see how they could top this one I definitely reccomend this to any and all Godzilla fans .
    • 053 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) This is the best Godzilla game that has come out to date ! It includes an all star cast including the original 1954 Godzilla , Jet Jaguar and Biollante ! This game was built from the ground up for the Wii . The monster renderings are superb and the controls add an entirely new dimension . This is not a button masher . . . on the contrary , actions from lifting the controllers to raise buildings or executing a super punch with a swinging movement are done with the remote . If you you allow yourself to flow with the motions , you will be fine . Also , options included in this game are speed controls and military might - in other words , you can select to have the army bypass you during battles or have them fire missles and laser at you and your opponents ! - believe me , you feel like you are in the titan monster movies ! In the end , this is more than just a fighting game , but an experience for all Wii owners . Pick this one up today - whether you play solo mode or with a friend , you will monsterous good time !

    • 057 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) This is a game I bought for my 17 year old son . I wasn't sure it was the right game but when he opened it he was amazed that I ordered the exact game he had mentioned . He was so happy . Toys for older kids are not easy to choose . Thanks for your help with all of my Wii selections !

    • 059 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) if you absolutely have to own this game , wait for it to hit the bargain bins . it looks like it should be fun , but the controls are really confusing . the levels end abruptly and there isn't a lot of incentive to unlock stuff .

  • Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I'AM BABY BOOMER GENERATION AND SO I BOUGHT THIS AND HOPED THIS WOULD BE A FUN GAME . . . WELL , ITS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS . . . I HAVE BOSE SPEAKERS AND THE HUGE SOUND OF THE MONSTERS WALKING , RUNNING , FIGHTING , BUILDINGS COMING DOWN , PLANE AND TANK ATTACKS MAKE IT HARD FOR ME TO COME OUT OF MY GAME ROOM I ENJOY IT SO MUCH . . . OF COURSE I'AM SURE THE NEIGHBORS AND MY DOGS THINK SOMETHING HORRIBLE AND SCAREY IS GOING ON OVER HERE . . WELL , IT IS , AND IT GREAT FUN . . . CONTROLS ARE GREAT , SOME UNUSUAL HUMOR I DID'NT EXPECT . . . HAVE YOU NOTICED ? ? VERY FUNNY . . . . I ESPECIALLY LOVE GODZILLA'S HEAVY BREATHING AFTER HE'S KNOCKED DOWN . . . GREAT , GREAT GAME , EVERYONE SHOULD OWN A COPY , YOU WON'T BE SORRY . . . HAVE FUN . . . ONE LAST THING , IF YOU EVER HAVE A CHANCE TO PURCHASE BOSE SPEAKERS , THIS GAME WAS MADE FOR THEM , I'AM IN A AVERAGE SIZE COMPUTER ROOM AND WHEN GOZILLA IS WALKING THE HEAVY SOUND OF HIM IS BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS AND FLOOR SO HARD YOU FIND YOURSELF STEPPING BACK FROM THE SCREEN , AND THE ROARS JUST SWIRL AROUND YOU WITH HUMUNGOUS SOUND . . . YES , ITS A VERY SCAREY ROOM TO BE IN WHEN GODZILLA AND EVERYONE IS HERE , BUT I LOVE IT . . .
    • 003 4  This review is from : Godzilla Unleashed ( Video Game ) I shall first say that i am a godzilla fan and I've gotten Godzilla Domination and Destroy all monsters melee and Save the Earth . all those were good games , but after you play this , there is no other godzilla game better . This is incredible to play and the story mode is absolutely fantastic ! There are four different factions for the game . There are Earth Defenders , Which are monsters like godzilla and mothra , rodan , and anguirus . then there are The Global Defense Force , Which are robotic monsters like kiyru and mechagodzilla . then there are Mutants like biollante and destroyah . then ther are the Aliens , like gigan and King ghidorah . The choices you make in the story affect who your allies are , and the faction you play as affects the outcome of the game . This game is very long , so unlocking things may take some time . WARNING : there is a little language in the game , i just thought I should point that out . So all in all this game Is THE BEST GODZILLA GAME EVER ! !

    • 036 4  I love fighting games .
