Tekken 3

  • 011 4  AFTER A FRIEND LENT ME THIS GAME , I WAS TOTALLY HOOKED ! I WENT RIGHT OUT AND BOUGHT IT , AS WELL AS ' ' TEKKEN 2 ' ' . EVERY CHARACTER HAS THEIR OWN UNIQUE FIGHTING STYLE , AND THE COMBOS ARE NOT HARD TO MASTER AT ALL . PLUS THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT MODES OF GAME PLAY TO CHOOSE FROM . AS WELL AS NEW COSTUMES AND CHARACTERS TO UNLOCK . AND IT'S FAST PACED TOO ! JUST LIKE ' ' SOULBLADE ' ' ! ! SO IF YOU WANT A GREAT GAME , REASONABLY PRICED , THAT ' LL HAVE YOU PLAYING FOR HOURS ON END ; THEN GO OUT AND GET IT ! EVEN IF IT'S THE ONLY FIGHTING GAME YOU GET ! AND ALSO GET ' ' SOULBLADE ' ' AND ' ' TEKKEN TAG TEAM ' ' FOR THE PS 2 . FIGHTING WAS NEVER SO MUCH FUN ! ! !
    • 168 4  THIS GAME WAS GREAT , AS A MATTER OF FACT , BUT IT'S NOT ALL THAT PEOPLE SAY IT IS . THERE'S SOME NEW CHARACTERS ADDED TO THE GAME AND THE CHARACTERS FROM THE FIRST 2 GAMES HAVE ALL GOTTEN OLDER . THE FIGHTS ARE GREAT , THE NEW AND INVENTIVE MODES [ SUCH AS THE ONE WHERE YOU FIGHT OFF GANGS AND STUFF LIKE THAT ON DIFFERENT STAGES ] ARE GOOD , AND THE CHARACTERS ARE ALL FUN AND EASY TO USE . TEKKEN FANS WILL LOVE THIS ONE A LOT .
    • 177 4  iT HAS ALL CHARACTERS THAT HAVE MANY VARIATIONS OF EACH , THE GRAPHICS ARE REALISTIC , TEKKEN 4 WAS A TOTAL LET DOWN COMPARED TO THIS .

  • 033 4  Tekken 3 is the best 3D fighting game on the Playstation . The only game that comes close to Tekken 3 is Soul Blade . The graphics on this Playstation version suffer a little from the translation , but the gameplay is faithfully intact . There are plently of fighters to play as from the start , and even more to earn as you beat the game multiple times . The only feature which may sour gamer's experiances with this game is the unbalanced play control of a few of the characters . Even though every character has a few high damaging moves of their own , Eddy Gordo and Hwoarang are easily the cheapest characters in the game . A simple button mashing on the kick buttons with these characters can send them into a fury of kicks that can kill an opponent in just a few hits . This is very frustrating when you've spent time practicing complex combos only for someone to come along and get the same results by just mashing on buttons at random . Although with experience one can learn to block and counter those moves , so it's not too big of a problem if you practice . Aside from that , Tekken 3 is near flawless . I highly recommend it to anyone who has a Playstation .
    • 024 4  Tekken 3 is one of the best games that I have ever played on the Playstation . The graphics are some of the best in any fighting game . Many modes and options to choose from and most of the options are exciting . Sound , game play , control , are all great . Some of the characters are also easy to learn and get good at . The only bad thing about the game are the two hidden characters who are very hard to control and they are not interesting to play with anyway .
    • 059 4  The best fighter in the world . It has everything speed , graphics , music , sounds , and controls . I went so crazy for this game i bought the Japanese version of it the second day it got released in Japan . You have to buy a Playstation if you don't have one for Tekken 3 . It will keep you busy for hours .
    • 061 4  Tekken has been one of my favorite game series of all times . I like the graphics and some of the special moves in the game ! Best thing is two-player mode with all the characters ! how do you get all the characters ? Keep on beating the game ! Good luck ! ! !
    • 093 4  This game can really make a bad day go good . As one of the best 3 games for the Playstation that I have , I can say I'm impressed . I am not very good at it , but a challenge always brightens me up . I don't like Tekken Force mode , a side-scrolling thingy where you fight soldiers with strange names like Hawk . I think I like Arcade Mode the best , where you fight , fight , fight . Really great game . I haven't tried the other Tekken games , but I'm sure that there won't be any other game of this series that can beat this dang fighting game . I bet nothing will stand up to this game that I like to call the Fighting Game King ! ! !
    • 103 4  This game will satisfy all the Tekken fans of the past . Button mashing galore . I didn't find it that satisfying . We unlocked all of the characters and beat the game . What more was there to do ?
    • 104 4  Okay , Tekken 3 isn't too bad or too good either . You fight on a rotating block that is uh . . . boring . Pretty cool combos and people . I like King the best . Some people cuss when they get hit and the graphics are pretty fine if you ask me . Wasn't an overall bore or an overall excitement . It was smack dab in the middle .
    • 127 4  I own this game and I think it's one of the greatest games for playstation ever ! When I got it I thought that once I unlocked the secret charcters that I wasn't going to like it any more . Each character has his or her own different move set and that's what makes it a great . Tekken force mode also rocks the world ! The 3 - D graphics are great and it is an overall great fighting game !
    • 148 4  I don't think there's just a game that comes close to Tekken 3 , it's the best fighting game ever , I always make tournaments at home with a buch of friends , we never get tired of it , it's just so good . . .
    • 155 4  The graphics are excellent and the game play solid . There's also lots of extras within the game to keep you occupied . I did however find the last two characters on the hardest level the least trouble to beat .

  • 042 4  Great game ! its a great game to play with yor freinds . this game has lots of great fighting moves . though the graghics arent the best that they can be and somtimes its so frustrating that you really want to punch the people on the screen yourself . but i think its one of the best games i have
    • 074 4  Okay this game is cool and has more moves and characters . It is cool becuase it has a diffrent background for each person and the graphics aren't bad either .
    • 079 4  Fun arcade game , Good to play with friends . graphics are typical psx , don't expect too much . takes a couple hours per character to learn their special moves . Fun . over all 4 stars .

  • 062 4  This game in my opinion , is'nt so bad , but it has flaws . This game unlike many others is slow-paced , you move very slowly . Also in this game there are many combos but , they are hard to pull off correctly . Most people just keep pushing one button . Yes this game still does have intresting charcters , but not enough . I like the diffrent modes though . Which is a plus + . This games other faults are that there are no codes for it , and the game gets old fast . I'm not a person that uses cheat codes that much but many other people do . I suggest if you want a good fast-paced fighting game get Marvel vs . Capcom or one of My favorites Bloody Roar 2
    • 108 4  . . . The graphics are amazing with digital stereo sound . My mind went crazy over this game ! ! ! . . .
    • 123 4  My name is Tony Gregory , and I think Tekken Three is a fantastic game . This game is a thrilling trilligy for all ages , ang great action for 68 hours.Ogre is my favorite character because his flames makes him invinsible. And my second best favorite is Brian because he can suvive survival mode and time attack mode.I hoped you like the fantastic Tekken Three
    • 166 4  My friends and I are Tekken Fanatics . . Every since the original Tekken came out . This game has filled my head with fond memories of hauling out the furniture on the front lawn and sitting there from 12pm till well after dark with a cooler full of alcoholic beverages , and 5 of my best friends . To say this is one of the greatest games of all time would be an overstatement but , It is a great game especially for the price now . I have one thing to say 99 hit combo . After mastering this you are a Tekken master .

  • 126 4  I had played tekken 3 a while back but I did not put any effort into the game . About a week ago I rented it just to try something new . Within the first 20 min . I immediately got hooked . I played for hours learning the combos getting all the characters and playing tekken ball mode . It never gets boring . I personally like jin but each charcter is very deadly . I strongly recommend this game above any other .
    • 012 4  This game is the best playstation fighting game you can play ! It has Awsome 3D graphics , a 3D ending for all characers , variety of game modes , and an intense gameplay ! . This game is really addictive . Only problem with this game is that the some of the characers and the backgrounds are weird ? ! Put beside this this game is AWSOME ! ! This is one fighting game that you really should buy !
    • 081 4  With 23 charaters , 8 modes for a ps1 game it easily ranks up there with the best the system has to offer. The graphics are smooth frame rate is 60 - better than most ps1 games. So in short , I suggest you get this game .
    • 086 4  This is a really really really really good game ! ! ! Especially when you and your Dad plays and you beat his rear end ! lol It's good but the only weakness is that some of the guys are really good and o other guy can beat him . Over all this is a grat game for PS 1 i mean look at the graphics .
    • 134 4  This game is so much fun to play . I was glued to the tv trying to get all the players by beating the game many times . The gameplay is easy and the graphics are pretty good . A great game , and a great buy for $20 .

  • 129 4  I for one , think dis game is da best . My friends and i love to play it . It has sooooooo much detail in da graphics . It is very easy to beat . I beated Arcade mode 8 times . My favorite characters are Brian Fury , Gun Jack , Eddy , Anna , Yoshimitsu , Hworonng , Heiachi , Julia , OGre , and fINAL OGer .
    • 015 4  ill recomend this to any of the people who like the tekken series
    • 067 4  This was the Tekken that got me started owning and loving the entire series . It is a must to have for any Tekken fan .
    • 111 4  In this game you can pick a lot of characters from the other Tekken games and you also have new better players like Jin and Eddy .
    • 132 4  When I once had played tekken3 itgone faster then it was.And when Iused the character alot of them were not on the chart.Using Ninathrough the arcade was like amatch to me ! Ialso used Hwoarang , Eddy , Anna , Jin , Gon , and HHH.Tekken3 is the fastest game in thehistory .
    • 153 4  In all my years of video gaming I have not found a game as exciting and fun to play as the Tekken collection . In my opinion it is by far the greatest fighting game of all time .
    • 187 4  Tekken 3 is the best of fighting games so far ecspecially with characters like Jin and Paul . The combos are off the hook . The power that some of the characters have make them real BEASTS .

  • 136 4  TEKKEN 3 is awesome . It has great graphics , great gameplay , tons of characters , and a handful of modes . First off , the graphics are superb , showing no sign of dropping framerate . The cutscenes are awesome and very often funny . The only downside is the 2D backgrounds . The gameplay is very unique . Each button controls each limb . They can also be combined for devastating combos . There are twenty one characters ( 2 in tekken ball ) that are playable . It has all your arcade favorites such as Jin , Eddy , Law , Hehachi , and Yoshimitsu . Plus a few new ones for playstation only . There are eight modes to play . There is Arcade , Team , VS . , Survival , Tekken Force , Tekken Ball , Practice , and Time Attack . There are plenty of things to like in Tekken 3 . So go buy it . . . .
    • 114 4  This game may be overly easy , but it's gameplay makes you never take a break ! The characters are highly detailed , and the blood is more realistic than ever.Iv'e only played 2 Tekkens , but this is the best one yet.Fighting in real life is never like this ! ENJOY ( . . . )

  • 140 4  Tekken is the best of all fighting games . In the 3rd instalment , you get new characters , more involved moves , and actual side stepping 3D action . Its a great game for two players , and its farily easy to pick up , but still hard enough for the fighting master to play for hours on end to master ! Tekken 3 rules !
    • 055 4  Tekken ! It finally has sidestepping ! Everything is perfect about this game . . . except the forgetful backgrounds . The gameplay is awesome . Tons of moves to conquer !
    • 070 4  i bought it to finish my tekken collection , it runs well and still runs well , no problems
    • 072 4  Tekken 3 was the best of the Tekken series until 5 , so I'd say this game is basic classic Tekken greatness . . . Pick it up if you love great oldschool fighting .
    • 156 4  Tekken 3 is the best Tekken there is . It's pretty gory but if you like fighting it's the game for you . It's suitable for ages 9 up .
    • 160 4  Tekken 3 is great ! 3D graphics are of high quality . Sounds are realistic and the stereo music is awesome . There are lots of interesting options . One small but : some of the characters are a bit slow , especially when you are used to playing Streetfighter games on a competitive system .

  • 146 4  Tekken 3 ' s gamplay has incredible depth while remaining clean and simple - easy to pick up , but packed with a virtually infinite number of special moves , combinations , and other nuances . The graphics are great , with crisp and clean , highly detailed characters . Movement is fluid and incredibly lifelike , with each character having a variety of especially impressive looking throws and special moves . Each of the 18 characters play quite differently . Sound is also great - each character has his or her own voice and grunts or yells at the appropriate moments . You'll hear the distinct sound of bones cracking . The extra modes are . . . an interesting diversion . This is an intensely entertaining game with infinite replay value .
    • 048 4  Tekken 3 is a really cool game . With moves and graphics that well blow you away , you can't help but play some more . New characters , new secret characters , and some old characters , this is a must have .
    • 064 4  Tekken 3 has to be the best fighting game ever. You can't get enough of tekken ball ! The characters are great. The music is sooooo tight. You'll never get tired of tekken force . Tekken Rules !
    • 097 4  You can't but help love this game the game charcters , the grahpics , and mostly the endings

  • 150 4  Tekken and Tekken 2 were awesome games . But as much fun as they are , none of them compares to Tekken 3 . The game that was suppossedly too big to be translated to the Playstation was indeed translated , and you get all the characters from the arcade version , and all the moves , plus you also get a few extras , like secret characters , secret suits , and even secret game modes ! And the fact that the graphics , animation , and fun factor of Tekken 3 are lightyears ahead of its predecessors goes without saying !
    • 106 4  Tekken 3 may not look like much more than another 3D fighter , but believe me , it is very different from the previous Tekken games and other fighting games. This is a huge improvement over Tekken 1 2 . The gameplay is addictive and never gets tiresome , plus the controls are perfect. It has tons of fighting moves and combos which never get repeative.Plus , it has many great charecters each with their own unique styles. Its also a great multiplayer game to boot.Buy this game .
    • 138 4  Tekken 3 has it all , Tons of characters , many which are hidden , hidden costumes for some characters , excellent graphics , excellent gameplay . This game is nearly 2 years old and it still tops the Playstation as the best fighting game . There hasn't been one to beat this one yet , and I have played them all ! Highly Recommended !
    • 192 4  this game should bow down to its ancestor , tekken 2 . the fighting and backgounds are 2D . the last guy is way too easy to beat . force mode looks like a game from super nes . i hope tekken 4 is a vast improvement .

  • 178 4  I love this game . The graphics are excellent and the different fighting moves for every character is astonishing . Why do I give it 4 stars ? I did that because there is no fireball action in this game . Don't get me wrong , the kung foo or karate , whatever it is looks awesome , but it gets boring after a while . The closest thing to a fireball is when true ogre can spit fire , but thats it . If you want a really good fighting game with fireball action , get street fighter alpha 3 or street fighter extreme 2 .
    • 076 4  Sorry Tekken fans , good graphics , cool characters , but lacking personality . Yes , I know it's stupid to take off one star for personalities , but hey , I paid for this game ! ! ! If you liked Tekken 2 without the personalities too , I recommend buying this with Tekken 2 .
    • 109 4  I really like this game , it is of my favorite fighting series . It is tons of fun and has good graphics , more realistic gravity than Tekken 2 , and excellent FMVs at the end . Tekken Ball is kind of goofy , but fun either way for a bit of variety . Theatre Mode is an excellent addition so that you don't have to beat the game every time you want to see an ending . Great buy !
    • 190 4  this game is the worse since tobal 2 . i mean the arcade mode you get to fight a few people and the bosses that man i cannot spell his name and the next one oh yes ogre they are easy to beat . then the character endings are pointless and cheap . teeken and tobal stinks . i don't see why everyone is rating this game so high they must be love boring games with cheap endings and easy bosses and a handfull of people . i got this game and i sold it and bought street fighter ex2 plus instead .

  • 181 4  Tekken 3 is the best game i have ever played and i recommend that anyone that has a playstation buys this game as it is a must have for all people , beat your way through the game with any of the 24 characters and become the iron fist champion . you can also try tekken ball a version of volleyball or tekken force a streets of rage style beat them up , i recommend it .
    • 185 4  Tekken 3 has great graphics and gameplay , plus some cool modes . However , it cannot beat the best game ever , the game from which Tekken 3 was sequeled Tekken 2 ! Both are very good buys but Tekken 2 is truely better ! The king of fightingg games and all games : Tekken 2

  • 194 4  WARNING ! ! ! ! ! WASTE OF MONEY ! ! ! ! ! This game has crappy graphics and the gameplay sucks . This was a waste of my money.Dont Buy this game .
    • 122 4  HWOARANG is the greatest fighter . no one else even comes close.thats all i have to say . oh yeah the game rules so buy it

  • Kill everyone be claimed winner of the Iron Fist Tournament and win some money . The charecters in T3 all have valid reasons for entering the tournament mostly being revenge or love . The graphics in tekken 3 are all super hi-res and move very convincingly especially with King's painful multi-parts . The inclusion of all charecters being able to sidestep and counter moves in one way or another gives the game an extra dimension in fighting with the side throws added , this only adds to the playability of the game . The extra modes are all very entertaining with Tekken Force being the best : a 3 - D Streets of Rage . By completing these extra modes under certain conditions extra costumes , charecters and modes are released . The game boasts the fact that Gon is the only licenced charecter to be in the game . Despite the fact that he's not very good , returning home from the pub and fighting as a 3 foot midgit dino who farts and belches fire will be the funniest thing you would have seen in a long while . The game got incredible reviews every where . If you enjoy the odd scrap then you might like this but if you are a beat'em - up purist you'll be involved in this game literally for months . It's that good I'd give it 10 / 10 , 97% , 5 * . You will like this game and your a fool if you don'y have it . I have nothing but praise for the game . The only downside being that despite the 23 odd charecters there is more than a few similarities between their moves . Not anything huge but big enough to be slightly annoying but a magnificent game nonetheless .
    • 002 4  Where do I start ! This game is immense . The most addictive and enthralling beat'em-up I've ever played . Tekken has gone from strength to strength without failing to dissapoint each time . The game starts out with the obligatory incredible intro sequence , with some of the facial rendering being absolutly mind blowing ! Although not Tekkens strong point , Tekken 3 has a genuine story line unlike the other 2 : Kill everyone be claimed winner of the Iron Fist Tournament and win some money . Not anything huge but big enough to be slightly annoying but a magnificent game nonetheless .
    • 020 4  I've played many fighters including all three Tekkens all Mortal Kombats and every Bushido Blade and Tekken 3 is the most fun fighter I have ever played . The chracters in this game seem to be more fun than the basic Mortal Kombat-esque chracters . The Tekken Ball mode is a good reward after you have cleared the arcade mode plenty of times . Tekken force is Final Fight-esque beat em up game and could be sold as a game on its own . Its challenging but it is another game within Tekken 3 and I'm still not bored with it . The separate cinema endings for each chracter give this fighting game a sense of personality that only the Tekken series has . The music in this game is the best in the entire fighting genre and you'll wanna get theatre mode just to listen to this music It fits the game perfectly . If you're into fighting and action games this is the game for you ! . . .
    • 026 4  The best of the tekken games . The graphics are the best I've seen in a fighting game for a long time . The characters are amazing and have tons of moves to learn . Even the classic fighters like Nina , Anna and Heihachi have new tricks up their sleves . There are many hidden characters and loads of new ones . To make it more different some characters have hidden costumes , to find them you have to complete from around 10 to 50 times ! As well as this , there's a new sub game called Tekken Force . You choose a character and fight the Mishama armies with a boss at the end of the level . When you've completed it you gain a key . When you have three you fight another fight after Heihachi and gain a odd character . I give this game a ten and reccomand it to tekken fans and fighting game lovers .
    • 035 4  I love Tekken 3 . I play it every time I go to my cousins house in Florida . It is really fun and good for two player too .
    • 038 4  This game is preety much the same as tekken advance but it's better eddy and law are playable in this game. But it gets boring after you've played it a milions of times. But still is good if you want a good fighting game get this it's the best
    • 040 4  It all starts here , well , it was here where i truly fell in love with Tekken . I love T2 , but , T3 was . . . holy cow moves and graphics . For those that are starting with Tekken . . this game should be your first .
    • 041 4  I personally thought that it was a great game.It is a fantastic game to rent and buy.The control over the characters is great and the graphics are awesome. If I were you I would buy it for yourself , but if you want it would be a great gift.It is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I bet that you haven't lived until you've played it .
    • 049 4  This game is the coolest game I ever had.If you want to buy this game get it now. With 3D envoirnment and 10 best fighting characters you can do what you want. With incredible movies and tekken force mode and head to head you really will enjoy.Cool isn't it ?
    • 057 4  Tekken 3 is a good game for children ages 6 + ! Challanging , but fun too ! If you like fighting and usually winning , this is the game for you !
    • 090 4  You know those games that the magazines all say is cool and your friends tell you about and it's the talk of the year , and when you buy it it's great , but your playing something else in a week . I think Tekken 3 is one of those games . I'll be honest , the game itself is fun , but repetative . You'll soon find that all of the characters and levels never change , and the Tekken Force mode does very little to improve . It , just like the game , gets old . I guarantee you will play the game all the way through just to unlock all the player videos though . If you can get the game used and VERY cheap , buy it . It's a fine game for a while , but nothing you'll play for years .
    • 100 4  The best playstation 1 game I have . Very good graphics and a very cool game because there is a lot of stuff to get , I mean I haven't even won the whole game ! Tekken force mode , theater mode , vs mode , team battle mode , survival mode , arcade mode , tekken ball mode , and time attack mode gives you a lot of things to do ! If you like game like mortal kombat and street fighter you will LOVE this game .
    • 119 4  This game is funny and fun to play with because u can unlock hidden features like volleyball and other charaters .
    • 121 4  This game is fun and addictive . I recommend this to everyone that likes Fighting games
    • 130 4  Tekken 3 is a great fighter ! I have played many , many games , and none have been as good as this . It's got a great diversity of characters , plenty of hidden modes , and enough special attacks to keep you busy all day . The music isn't too bad , although I've heard better , and I doubt you'll hear many people complaining about sound . In fact , the only thing I can complain about is the plot . While the movies look great , only a few of them told a character's story , and none told them very clearly . If you can ignore this fault , however , Tekken 3 is an incredibly good game !

  • Shaolin Style in its complexity . I enjoyed a good bout but the worst thing is that the easy level isn't too challenging and that it's difficult to control each character because of the many keys for each move which require too much coordination
    • 151 4  I like this game but there are not many cheats and it gets old quick but if you want a thrill buy it .
    • 175 4  Actually this game is definitely a classic . However it does not compare to Wu Tang : Shaolin Style in its complexity . I enjoyed a good bout but the worst thing is that the easy level isn't too challenging and that it's difficult to control each character because of the many keys for each move which require too much coordination

  • Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) A follow up to what was probably the best fighting game on the market for the time , Tekken 2 , this game doesn't let you down . The storyline is incidental but for interest , after the last tournament , Heihachi is back having defeated his son Kazuya in Tekken 2 . He then throws him into the same ravine that Kazuya threw him in after Tekken 1 . However , Jun Kazama ( from Tekken 2 ) and Kazuya have gone on to have a son Jin ( don't ask me how ) and then Heihachi's company has unearthed some powerful force which goes on to kill Jun . It doesn't really make a great deal of sense but it is an excuse for another tournament . Some of the characters are sons or daughters of the original 2 Tekken's ( ie : they're more or less the same ) though Paul is back ( and looking older ) and for some reason Nina has been in cryogenic stasis for 20 years ( which doesn't explain why her sister Anna hasn't aged though ) . There are some new characters with distinctly new fighting styles , other new characters have similar fighting styles to characters they replaced in Tekken 2 . The graphics are excellent and are very close to the arcade version . There is also the added bonuses of having a number of different game modes and also when you complete the game , this releases an animated movie sequence for that character , as well as a new character you can use . A few characters are released by different means . Doctor Boskonovich ( who rebuilt Yoshimitsu ) can be accessed if you complete the Tekken Force option 3 times . It is worth the effort both because Tekken Force is practically a game in its own right , where you fight armies of henchmen and an end stage boss ( one of the other characters ) , all against a fast disappearing time limit . Also , Doctor Boskonovich has a fighting style quite unlike any of the other characters available to use , so he is worth getting . The Tekken Force option definitely helps extend the life of the game with the player instead of if this had just been another Tekken retread . Also , something you might miss is that after enough characters have been released , pressing the Start button on Eddy will allow you access to the character Tiger ( which is more or less still Eddy but has his own animation ) . All up I think there are 22 characters . You get Gon when , after releasing enough characters you get and win the Tekken Ball mode . A few drawbacks , one is that to get most of the hidden characters , you have to just keep playing and winning the game which despite the excellence of the game , does eventually start to get a little boring . Especially since this is what you had to do in Tekken 2 and the games aren't radically different . As a result , I found myself losing interest sooner than with Tekken 2 . I think it would be worthwhile for a different approach with the next Tekken where distinctly different things have to be done for accessing each new character than just finishing the game over and over . Also , essentially the game is still 2 - D in the sense that the characters still fight in a line , apart from now being able to side-step ( which you couldn't do in Tekken 2 ) which has mixed results in evading attacks . It will be interesting to see if the series will move to true 3 - D arena fighting like Ehrgeiz or Tobal for example . Another small gripe is that the version I've played in Australia , after the Ogre is defeated , the animation showing the transformation into the True Ogre seems to have been edited , it simply shows the Ogre raising Heihachi into the air , the screen going white and then the next fight starts . I'm sure I'm not imagining this , I could swear I remember in the arcade that the Ogre actually goes on to consume Heihachi's body and turn into The True Ogre . Why it would be cut at that point is beyond me , it was not a graphic scene at all anyway , more bright lights , electricity and metamorphising than anything else . However though , Tekken and Tekken 2 were the sole reasons I bought a Playstation in the first place and the only games I have . Tekken 3 hasn't disappointed as a follow up and there's enough new stuff in the options , characters and animations to make it worthwhile , even if you've finished the arcade game .
    • 001 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Where do I start !
    • 003 4  I've played all games in the Tekken series , and Tekken III is a vast improvement on the previous 2 versions . Compared to most fighting games its graphics and basic gameplay are increadible . Movement of characters , sidesteps and special moves are brilliant , not to mension the convinient range of moves from simple punch combos to advanced throws . Having these levels of move difficulty makes Tekken entertaining for a much longer period of time than many rival fighting games . Namco has given the game a realistic feel , with no fireball shooting stuff that many rivals include . Most moves are believable and gravity has been considered in all jumping and flipping attacks . Amazingly this has taken nothing away from the entertainment value , as its charge up moves , uppercuts and throws are just as spectacular as any fireball . The game begins with only a third of the characters , most have to be earnt through winning arcade battles at each of the 3 difficulty levels ; easy medium and hard . Other modes are included like tekken ball ( a painful kind of volleyball ) and tekken force ( kill heaps of hopeless badguys on the streets ) are fun for a while but they are just novelties and aren't anywhere near as enjoyable as arcade and versus mode . Most moves are included in the command list when you pause the game , and more can be learnt while watching the computer move in battle . Character design is superior to rivals and no player resembles another . This variety and huge number of fighters to choose from means that somewhere in there must be one perfect for you . Do you like brute strength or speed or a balance of the two ? Fighters that specialise in uppercuts , kicks , sidesteps , throws , long range and short range tactics are all there plus a few more on the side ! The background is 2D , but the characters are in 3D and they are all that matters ! Camera angles and zoom changes depending on attacks that are executed and detailed frame rate means no jerky movement at all . Smooth graphics , frame rate and reasonable loading speed make the game pleasing to the eye and not trying on your patience . This is a five-star game and I recommend it to all PlayStation owners out there !
    • 006 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 is my first fighting game . ( OK , so I used to play Samurai Shodown on Ninendo back in 1995 , but that doesn't really count . ) I'm not a real gamer person , but I love this game . I was able to kick some serious butt just by experimenting - - the game is fairly intuitive , even if the more complex moves require a lot of practice to execute correctly . I can't compare this game to its previous incarnations , but who cares ? I like it in and of itself , without comparing it to anything !

    • 008 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) I've been playing what I call strategic fighting games since Virtua Fighter 1 and Tekken 1 I've also been playing video games as a whole since I was 5 and let me say , these are the best graphics I have ever seen ( besides Dreamcast , saw it in the store ) on a home console . This is also the best gameplay I've ever been exposed to in any game . I've heard people say that the gameplay is lacking because of newbies ' abilities to be button mashers and beat the big guys , but that is untrue . I've seen many a newbie beat some hardcore veterans ( present company excluded , ; ) ) , but all it takes is complete mastery of the character , something which doesn't come easy and contributes to replayability .

    • 010 4  Graphics : 9 / 10 Very impressive , with smooth animations and the requisite cool lightning effects . Sound : 8 / 10 While there's no Street Fighter-style semi-incoherent yells , the sound effects are better than what you see in most fighters and the music isn't too annoying either . Gameplay : 7 / 10 If you're new to fighting games , this is a good place to start , with lots of easy combo strings and flashy moves , with enough depth to justify spending a week or two learning the ins and outs of your favorite character . Unfortunately , hardcore fans will be disappointed with the emphasis on uncounterable pokes , double reversals and insane float combos . Replay : 9 / 10 Lots of new ( actually interesting ) modes , and plenty of characters for you to trash a friend with . It's just plain fun playing as a giant bear or breakdancing fighter . Overall : 8 / 10 ( not an average ) If you're reading this review , you probably don't care about the finer gameplay aspects . Go ahead and buy it , even novices can have lots of fun . If you're experienced with 3D fighters , you'll probably want to buy a Dreamcast instead .
    • 014 4  Graphics : 8 / 10 - The characters can be a bit see-through , but the backdrops are fabulous and it's extremely clear when you've done a Judo chop to someone ! Sound : 9 / 10 - Great fist fighting , realistic sounds and cool music brings Tekken 3 blazingly alive in the sound area . Value : 10 / 10 - Do not read this review further if you have not yet played , bought or borrowed Tekken 3 . It is well worth the money and you'll play it for ages ! Not a game you get sick of easily . Overall : 10 / 10 - Lots of things to do , lots of martial arts moves to learn , heaps of blood , a barrel of fun - Tekken 3 is one of the most entertaining , overall amazing PlayStation games to come out in a long time !
    • 016 4  Tekken 3 is eazily my favorite game ( with the possible exception of Gran Turismo 2 ) . I love the fact that it's smooth , and almost totally realistic . It's also very entertaining to whatch someone who's good use a character ( especially Eddy with his capoiera style fighting and my personal favorite , Hwoarang with his tai kwan do style ) . I just think it's the best thing since sliced bread , and I highly recommend you get it , even if you don't like fighting games .
    • 017 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) I have never considered myself a fan of fighters . I will never consider myself a fan of fighters . But I love this game . Tekken 3 is the one fighter that has me addicted . I cannot do a combo to save my life , but I still sat in front of my TV for many hours playing Tekken . Not only that , but Tekken also introduced me to something else . Dual Shock . Although the Dual Shock in this game is nothing special , this is one of the first that used it . This is the game that caused me to scream out loud and throw my controller to the ground . Tekken is tons of fun , with or without a special controller , though . The graphics are great . There are a ton of other side games to play . Such as the side-scrolling Final Fight esque game and the strange volley ball game . Interesting characters and fantastic cut scenes at the end of the game round out the best fighter I have ever laid my eyes on . Tekken is God .

    • 019 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) I've played many fighters including all three Tekkens all Mortal Kombats and every Bushido Blade and Tekken 3 is the most fun fighter I have ever played . If you're into fighting and action games this is the game for you ! . . .
    • 021 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) This is one of the best fighting games I've ever played ( with the exception of Soul Blade , atleast I think thats the name . ) The combos in this game are really exciting and cool looking with one exception , if your not good at learning combos and memorizing the buttons then your gonna have a hard time pulling off combos since you have to remember a long list of buttons and when to press them in sinc .

    • 023 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 is one of the best games that I have ever played on the Playstation .
    • 025 4  The Tekken games have always been the most popular fighters for the ps1 . Tekken1 was very blocky , bad character details , and did not move very smoothly . However it still had fun game play , and unlike the other tekkens it offered great challenges , and moves that were always fun to learn . Then , Tekken2 came out , and was a vast improvement over the first . It had more moves and combo systems , better graphics , and new characters . Then Tekken3 , the best tekken and the best fighter for the ps1 . It features many new characters , lots of moves and combo systems . Good , smooth graphics , and nice looking FMV sequences . New modes such as tekken force ( a very fun side scrolling game , similar to the old nes game , double dragon ) . A very addictive and fun minigame called tekken ball mode ( play it with some friends , it's a blast ) . Also , all the normal modes such as survival , arcade , and time trial are all there . As for the difficulty of the game , it of course features three modes , easy , normal , and hard . I was though , very surprised with the challenge of arcade mode . But the boss , ogre was way to easy , and even his second form was easier than his first ! My favorite characters are yoshimistu ( sp ? ) , Jin Kuzama , and Bryan Fury . As for the replay value . . . it kept me playing it for a week or two and that's pretty good . I have not yet played TTT ( Tekken Tag Tournament ) but I will soon . Plus I am very excited about Tekken 4 . So if you want a hardcore , action packed fighting game that is very realistic ( they even considered gravity so they jump the normal height ) then I highly suggest this game to you . It's the best !
    • 027 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Okay , then let's get down to business . I COULD tell you every single thing about Tekken 3 , I COULD go on for ages and bore the socks off you . and guess , what I will . How good is Tekken 3 ? The short answer is fantastic . The slightly longer answer is the most incredible thing since chocolate . Face the facts . No other game , except the two prequels can touch it . The graphics are so far advenced that they just blow you away . It's incredible . Everyone thought the intro sequence on Resident Evil 2 was mind-blowing ; well HELLO get a loada this ! The game combines the complicated ( and many ) combos that game masters have fun with alongside the simple gameplay any idiot can play with . Also finally , you can sidestep . Truely a cause for celebration . I think the total character count is about 23 or something including secret ones . My personal favourite being Dr.B who is a playable character for the first time in the Tekken series . Saying that , the character count is the one thing I'm disappointed with . I don't see Armor King anywhere . Now I could be wrong . I'd like to know how to get Armor King . Moving on , probably the best thing about Tekken 3 is the awe-inspiring secret modes . For years , we put up with same rubbish from games like Soul Blade and indeed Tekken and Tekken 2 ( which are all good games by the way ) where they gave us Survival and Force Modes which were exactly the same . Now finally Tekken 3 keeps Survival Mode , gives an incredible new Theatre Mode , which even displays sequences from Tekken 1 2 ! ( Wow ! ) A hilarious Ball Mode and fun packed Force Mode where you battle through four levels of bird brains to rescue Dr.B . OK , you know the drill , bye bye now !

    • 029 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) I myself never thought that I would ever get into video games . I obviously found myself to be wrong . Even though I'd enjoyed the original Nintendo and SNES , I thought that the Playstation would be a big disappointment . I knew everything was supposed to be better , but I loved the fighting games and rpg's for those systems of yesteryear . Now that I own Tekken 3 for Playstation , I have only one thing to say ; it's great ! I'm aware that the backrounds are 2D , and that makes it look like you're fighting someone on a spinning surface , but I didn't mind it all that much . I especially liked the attacks of Eddy . When I had played the arcade version , I had thought that he was a breakdancer . But after seeing an example of that fighting style in real life , I was amazed at how controlled , acurate , and fluid the movements were ! When I was fighting in the arcade with Yoshimitsu , I thought that there was some glitch as it wsa jumpy and seemed to be breaking up . I was shocked , because I had seen the great quality of the rest of the game . I then realized that only Yoshimitsu was breaking up , and that it was only an effect of his attack . I feel that the best thing overall is the fact that you don't really have to practice for a long time to get the hang of the game . I just looked at the controlls and took off ! It does help , however , if you have a turbo controller . This makes it much easier to perform attacks that requre multiple strikes of the same key . I was rather disappointed at the fact that Tekken Ball is a hidden level . If you don't have a memory card , give up on trying to play it . The Tekken Force is also sort of SNES in quality ; poor range of motion , it's hard to see where you're headed , and there are too many utterly annoying groupies attacking you ! Overall it's a great game !
    • 031 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) This game is a classic example of what happens when you make a good thing great . Coming off of Tekken and Tekken 2 , Tekken 3 stimulates the mind , body , and spirit . This game is a must for every gamer . Buy it now !
    • 034 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) I love Tekken 3 . I play it every time I go to my cousins house in Florida . It is really fun and good for two player too .
    • 036 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) OK , I am going to start off by saying , as you might have guessed from the title , I've played this BRILLIANT game in the ARCADE , not on the Playstation . But then again , who cares ? ! It's the same game and it's equally fun ! This is among the best fighting games I've ever played . I love it , I love it , I love it . So many cool characters are in this game , including nearly all of my top 10 favorite heroes and villains , as well as the best ( and only ) neutral fighter here , Yoshimitsu . Anyway , here it goes . This game is about trying to protect the world from a soul eating ogre . On to the pros and cons . Pros The fighters are wonderfully made & if you know how to use them , real ass kickers My favorite Tekken hero ( King , half jaguar , half man , all wrestler ) favorite Tekken neutrality ( Yoshimitsu , half machine , half man , all warrior ) and favorite Tekken villain ( Nina Williams , half hottie , half scorned woman , all assassin ) are featured here . Yep , you got it . The top 3 coolest fighters ( in my opinion ) all get a great role in this game You can see bursts of energy and blood coming out whenever you hit your opponent The sound effects , music and noises the characters make are damn near perfect The graphics , while I'd prefer them 3 - D not 2 - D , are still very good for a game that was made in the 1990s and I would never want them taken away for that reason There are a lot of other great fighters too , such as Gun Jack ( he's really powerful and his only weakness is not being too fast ) and there are fighters even better than he , such as Jin Kazama and Paul Phoenix ( who by the way are both AMONG my favorites , they rock so much ! ) and Hwoarang , who's not as good as Gun Jack but still rocks big The final boss , Ogre / True Ogre ( I count him as two villains ) looks to be very powerful and very difficult to defeat , but there's a special trick to defeat him as though you were teaching a tired cat to yawn : You just gotta play as King and kick the s * * * out of him . Trust me , I've done it twice . You fight Ogre as King , he's got no hope . Period There is a very cool gold and lightning backround surrounding the red sign that will say You are the champion if you win the game . Not to mention the credits will give you a free replay of your victories against your opponents & how you defeated them Finally , for the last pro , other cool characters than the ones mentioned are here ( they are not as cool as King , Yoshimitsu , Nina , Jin , Bryan Fury , who's also here , Paul , Gun Jack , Heihachi Mishima , the second to last boss , Hwoarang , Kazuya Mishima , here without first mention , or Lei Wulong , who also is here without the first mention , but they still really , really rock and I love them all ) They include Anna Willaims , a great villain who not only is better than Ogre but also Nina's sister , Julia Chang , a good looking woman and a skilled fighter , but she really has got to do something about her hair , Eddy Gordo , a really cool 50 - Cent like hero who dresses in yellow & green , Forest Law , brother of the awesome Marshall Law who he's just as fast & skilled as , Kuma , a cool looking grizzly bear fighter who really knows how to bring down the house ( literally ) and Panda , her brother is Kuma and she is cute if not a little bit of a softie . Oh well , she's a pretty decent fighter if you know how to use her . Nuff said Cons The only con is that so far there is only one Tekken game better than this one-the fabulous Tekken 4 . Don't know how I'll judge Tekken 5 , but whatever . This game is absolutely flawless and for now only the Tekken 4 coming after it is better . Period All in all , this is a game you must have if you like Tekken or if you just plain like to play cool beat-em-up games . I recommend this to all people with one or both of those traits . P.S . The only beat-em-up game better than Tekken is Mortal Kombat . My name is Alex K Catman ( for my love of lions , tigers , jaguars and all other cool animals , cats or otherwise ) Have a nice day . And if you got the money , buy the game .

    • 043 4  This is one kick - [ butt ] game . I mean it . Literally . About two dozen characters , multiple difficulty levels , a couple of interesting games , this is one super-cool game . The graphics are great and the fight moves flow so prettily it's almost scary . The characters are all interesting to use , at the very least , and there's something for everyone from an enormous , slow-moving bear to the lightning-quick but tiny Xiou Yu . My only beef is with the Tekken Ball stage and the side-stepping . Tekken Ball is just silly . It does nothing for your characters , it's decidedly simple , it's . . . well , it's a little kid's game stuck in the middle of a rather bloody 3D fighter . It just doesn't seem to fit with everything else . The side-stepping is almost ludicrously difficult . You have to tap the controller so lightly that taking a few simple steps to the side becomes impossible . I realize that , logistically , it would be difficult to find another way , but it does hamper your stride , particularly in the Tekken Force stage . A great game , though .
    • 044 4  This game has one of the better translation from arcade to video game . The graphics and even the sounds are similar , down to the finest detail . The only bad thing : you must get a good joystick to play the game - - otherwise , the controls are very tricky at best . The hidden levels and characters are pretty cool . However , with the release of Tekken 4 and its new mode of fighting , Tekken 3 may become primitive and outdated . All in all , still an excellent game and excellent hidden levels and characters . The Tekken Ball mode being one of my favorites - - especially with me and one of my friends . Tekken Force mode is also not too bad - - although the movement ( such as sidestepping and turning ) are EXTREMELY tricky and fickle . You have to manage both well to win the game .
    • 046 4  I've had Tekken 3 for two years now and I still love playing it , mainly because it is one of the best PS1 fighters ever made . Reasons why this is a great game are simple : There are tons of great characters from Yoshimitsu , the ever cute dragon Gon , the sexy schoolgirl Ling Xiaoyu , and over a dozen more . The wonderful part is they all have their own unique fighting styles which keeps the action from getting dull . With mulitple game modes this also adds to Tekkens variety and level of fun . Tekken Force mode puts the characters into a side scrolling action game . Although , my fave is Tekken Ball which is a wierd mix of fighting and volleyball . I know what you're thinking , but trust me , it's fun . The game is a little hard at first , but give it a week or so and you will get it down pact . With all the unlockable characters , modes and costumes , it will keep you entertained for weeks to come . That and being one of the most comprehensive fighters out there makes it a must have .
    • 047 4  Tekken 3 is the best fighting game I have ever played ! If you loved Tekken than you HAVE to play Tekken 3 ! My cousin has Tekken and I liked it alot so I bought Tekken 3 . Let me say , Tekken 3 is 10 times better than Tekken . It has alot of new and old characters ( or alot of characters ) like Law , King , Nina , Jin , Whoarang , Xiaoyu , Eddy , Paul , Lei , and Yoshimitsu . It has a ton of characters that you can unlock if you beat arcade mode like Mokujin , Ogre , True Ogre , Heihachi , Kuma ( or Panda ) , Julia , Bryan , Anna , and Gun Jack . You get up immediatly from falls . It has alot of modes like Arcade , Tekken Force where you walk along and beat people up and face a boss , practice , and more . I unlocked all the characters and unlocked a new mode called Tekken Ball mode where you play volleyball and if you dont hit it back to the other guy your life gets reduced . And theres new fighting styles so buy this game , you'll be glad you did !
    • 050 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) This takes arcade beat em ups to a new level . The quality of the graphics , the fluidity and the endless gaming options makes this incredibly addictive . There are plenty of characters to sink you teeth into and moves are fairly easy to pick up while being fairly difficult to master . My only real criticism is that the two final characters ogre and true ogre are way too easy to defeat , kinda like Shang Tsung in the first Mortal Kombat game on the megadrive ( who remembers that one ! ) Apart from that and the 2 dimentional backgrounds this game is enless fun with loads of new quirky characters and loads of playing options . A worthy addition to any collection .

    • 052 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) A follow up to what was probably the best fighting game on the market for the time , Tekken 2 , this game doesn't let you down .

    • 071 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 was the best of the Tekken series until 5 , so I'd say this game is basic classic Tekken greatness . . . Pick it up if you love great oldschool fighting .
    • 073 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Okay this game is cool and has more moves and characters . It is cool becuase it has a diffrent background for each person and the graphics aren't bad either .
    • 075 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Sorry Tekken fans , good graphics , cool characters , but lacking personality . Yes , I know it's stupid to take off one star for personalities , but hey , I paid for this game ! ! ! If you liked Tekken 2 without the personalities too , I recommend buying this with Tekken 2 .

    • 082 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken delivers again . This time I know the story . 15 years after the 2nd tournament , some of the worlds best fighters are disappearing . Heihachi belives it is because of Ogre , a super-human fighter that feeds off the souls of the warriors he holds . In an attempt to lure him out , Heihachi starts the 3rd tournament with some new fighters . Pros : * Many new and a few old charactors , including by favorite male - Hwoarang - and female - Julia Chang - fighters . * Many fun unlockables * Has two exclusive charactors for the PS version , Gon and DR . Bostonovitch . * Beautiful cut scenes . * Improved graphics . Cons : * Still , outdated graphics . * A monster that feeds on souls . This game has the first sighting of most of the modern charactors , so it is an awesome way to get into the series . Buy this game please .

    • 084 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) this is the best game i've ever played ( only cuz i ain't played tekken4 ) ! there are some great chracters and some not so great ones , and when i say not so great i mean that dang scientist who can't fight worth a flip and that creepy alien with a nife.the gret characters are jin paul & that red heded karate dude.the graphics look much better than tekken 1 , but the backgrunds are 2d.overall this game impressed me alot and i can't wait to get my hands on a copy of tekken 4 !

    • 087 4  Just when you think , they can't improve the great sophomore version of the Tekken series , they come out with an amazingly dramatic Tekken 3 . I can't really describe it in one section , so I'll just put it into a few sections : Graphics ( 3.5 / 5 ) : The graphics here are worthy of praise , but there's one thing that kills it : the corny little sparks that come out when you hit an opponent hard ( Nina's lightning , Eddy's spark seems to be some purple light ) And do the girls always have to look like ( . . . ) ? . But , the characters have still improved greatly in the graphics department , escaping the dreaded pixel look it had in Tekken 2 . Storyline ( 5.5 / 5 ) : Unlike other fighting games , the Tekken series has something they don't : a great amount of depth. These storylines are so dramatic and so captivating , they are almost like a cool version of a soap opera. There are more than several great storylines , since it has been more than 20 years since the last Tekken tournament , at least in Tekken years. From Jin seeking revenge from ogre after his mother Jun died in a mysterious forest fire to Nina trying to get her memory back after being stuck in a lab for 20 years , this is one game to get for the stories . Sound ( 4 / 5 ) : Sure , the screams are a little annoying , but the music is great to listen to and get you riled up while you're fighting an opponent . Gameplay ( 5 / 5 ) : The fighting here is just right , not too difficult , yet not too easy. You'll probably find yourself picking Eddy the most , since his moves are very hard to block. And the modes are very entertaining , especially the Tekken Force Mode , where you have to get through evil Heihachi's men to get a secret character. And the Tekken Ball Mode may not be liked by many people , but is still a humorous way to get the loveable dinosaur Gon . Characters ( 4 / 5 ) : The characters are definitely something to love here , since every character has a different reason to win the Tekken tournament , and the game isn't so redundant. From feisty ( . . . ) sisters Nina & Anna to the evil power-hungry villain Heihachi , every character is one you love or love to hate . Anyway , Tekken 3 is one of the few video game essentials of the ' 90 ' s , and is a must-have if you want a real video game collection .
    • 088 4  The Story , Ogre , an evil creature attaking fighters around the world for there power must be stopped , therefore Hihachi Mishima trains Jin Kazama and anounces the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 ! The Plan , Ogre enters Tekken 3 and is beaten and killed ! . Fight throu 10 stages to beat ogre and open new charecters and modes . Many unique charecters , modes and places . Fight as new and origonal charecters . Multitude of options Personaly this game is My favorite !
    • 089 4  I first played this game at an arcade at a ski lodge . . . . . . . . I didn't go skiing that afternoon . I immediately purchased it after I got my PS1 , and it captured me . I must say it is a fine piece of martial arts work . Totally get this game or at least try it . It is a great improvement from its predecessors . If you didn't like those 2 , just loooook at thiiiiis . It is niiiiiiiiice . Try iiiiiiiit .
    • 091 4  This is a superb game . It made the Greatest Hits , and it rightfully deserves the title . This game has pushed Playstation to the limit , and then some . Gameplay , graphics and sound have been mingled and merged into this sweet fighting game . The cast of characters are very well done . It starts out with several realistic fighters , with different styles . Then , as the the cast grows larger , its a close encounter with the third kind ( in the good way ) . Graphics are astounding . Each character is incredibly detailed and their movements are very real . The thing I admire about this game is that there are no cheap fireballs or fatalities ( however , True Ogre and Gon have a fire-breath move ) . Almost attacks are true hand-to-hand combat and look very impressive . The FMVs are very cool , especially the endings . Sound and music flows perfectly with the the graphics and gameplay . Fists , kicks , screams , and even crunches - its all very satisfying . Music is very well executed . I'm a big fan of game music and I have certainly been impressed . I love that guitar in the background for the hidden characters . How about Heihachi's loud , fast-paced theme ? Can't forget that electric guitar in Jin's place . Tekken 3 has the best tunes in a fighting game since Killer Instinct . Gameplay is probably the best part of the game . It is so addictive to master all the moves . Each character fights in a different style , so no one truly has an advantage over another . The 1 - player mode , which smoothly transfers from the arcades , is challenging enough . Tekken Force mode adds to the challenge , though it gets frustrating to do it 4 times just to get a useless old man anyway . Practice Mode features a myriad of options so that you can get familiar with a character . There are a variety of moves to master and its always exciting to execute them on your friends . This is hands down the best fighting game out there . Its one of the most top-rated games , too . Highly reccommended .
    • 092 4  Well , I don't own this game ( or a Playstation ) but I played it today for 3 hours at my friend's house ( I got blisters on my hands from playing so much ) . This is fantastic ! You have to love it . In my opinion , the 2 player mode is the best ( we were playing in teams of 3 ) . The main point of the game is to use different moves using the Playstation controller to destroy your opponent . The characters I liked the best were Gon , Jin and Law . Gon is great because he's small and the taller character's kicking or punching always misses . Jin is strong overall , and my friend's nephew said that he's the best person in the game if you know how to control him . I can control him well , and demolished my opponent in 20 seconds ( we were using the 50 second time limit in the 2 player mode ) . Law is a great kung-fu type of fighter and he kicks well . It's fun plotting the same kind of characters against each other - like Gon against Gon or Jin against Jin . The other characters not in the main lineup are good too - we got Doctor . B in our game - but he's annoying because he keeps falling over - but he has some good moves . The theatre mode is funny too - watching all the short videos on each character - my favourites were Xiaoquai ( spelling ? ) 0 JERK ! , that tree guy ( can't remember his name ) , Bryan and Jin . Also a good laugh is the ball mode - which is like volleyball except you're trying to take away each other's health . I haven't played all the modes yet , but I'm sure I will soon . You have to buy this game if you liked Tekken or Tekken 2 , or if you like classic games like Streetfighter , or like fighting games . Fantastic !
    • 094 4  this gameis really pretty fun.The graphics are awsome , and gameplay is almost as good but not as great.I just bought tekken3 , its really a great allaround game for playstation.Anyone who likes tekken should probably buy it at a well worth it price of about 12.00 , to 20.00 $ . But you should probably ( most likley ) not expect to atomaticly be the best at this game , ( i wasnt ) . Gameplay can be pretty tough for a beginner finished this game in about fourty minutes. You should look at my tekken4 review.i will put the #123 in my title . hope his was helpful.thanks for reading , bye .
    • 095 4  I bought Tekken 3 earlier of last year , and I was excited to play it . I've heard great things about the game , and that it was way better than Mortal Kombat . And I have to say that I was extrememly impressed and pleased . The graphic and 3 - D look that the characters have are very cool . And after each fight , they show the winners final move in slow motion ! Tekken 3 offers other goodies such as Tekken Ball , Tekken Force , and also offers hidden characters . Such as Heihachi , Julia , Ogre , and much more ! I highly recommend this game for everyone who has the Playstation console .
    • 096 4  I know , Tekken Tag was like an improvment , but Tekken 3 is just plain out orginal and stuff . Pros : PSX orginal graphics never looked so good very addictive gameplay Nice soundtrack Nice selction of charaverts Beautiful FMVs Tekken Ball is awsome Cons : Game evanually runs out of fun The game is pretty easy ( after playing Tekken Tag on ultra hard all the time ) Where's Lee and Kazuya ? Not many cons , so it's definitly a must buy for any fan of fighting games .
    • 099 4  Oh is this game good or what ? It is only the best fighting game ever made ! Even better then the PS2 tekkens ( tekken tag and tekken 4 ) . The graphics are good and the movies are great . The sound is good also . I love the characters and the stages . The best thing about it is that the graphics arnt as slow as 2 and 3 . Besides that , the fighting style to every character is great . If this is what all fighting games are like , I want them all !
    • 102 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) This game will satisfy all the Tekken fans of the past . Button mashing galore . I didn't find it that satisfying . We unlocked all of the characters and beat the game . What more was there to do ?
    • 105 4  i think this game is a great game if u want a game with cool characters and different kinds of attacks and chalenging well this is the game .
    • 110 4  One word for this game : The best PS game ever ( Ok , that's five words ) . This game really is great . I has at least 10 characters ( including bonus characters ) . Law , Jin , Heihachi ( bonus ) , King , Hworang , and the first Ogre ( bonus ) rock . The True Ogre ( bonus ) is very weak . And you can play a little dinosaur ( bonus ) that looks something out of a Mario game or smoething . Here's a hint : When you play as Heihachi , when in battle press Right Arrow , Square , Left Arrow , Triangle , Circle . You should do his Demon Massacre . Also , to do a double jump kick with Heihachi , press Up Right on the D-pad and then press X , Circle . To wrap this review up , here are the facts . Gameplay : Excellent Graphics : Excellent Controls : Excellent Characters : Except for the True Ogre , Excellent Blood : None Ages recommended : 9 and up
    • 112 4  Tekken was okay . Tekken 2 was significantly better . But Tekken 3 is a tour de force for the PSX . Tekken 3 takes place almost 20 years after T2 , as the intro shows that , the background stages show that , and the way that some of the T2 characters ( with the exception of Nina , Anna , King , and Law ) appear to have aged . The characters look about as realistic as you can expect from the PSX , but still almost up to par with Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 4 . All of the returning characters have tricks up their sleeve . Ther are also new modes of Tekken . Tekken Ball is basically a powered-up volleyball game w / o the net . Tekken force is kind of like an old side scroller action / adventure game if you ask me . . . There are no easy cheats in T3 . What I mean by easy cheats is those press-a-sequence-of-buttons-and-there-you-have-it type of code . A must buy 4 any hardcore Tekken fan .
    • 115 4  For those of you who have not played the Tekken game series , it is a 3D fighting game ; that uses the same button configuration as Street Fighter 2 ( Fierce Kick , Medium Kick , Weak Kick ) . What makes Tekken different from other fighting games are the moves , smooth animations and the cinematic movies for each character that is used to beat the game ( you also get a new fighter when you beat the game ) , however that becomes the point of the game , seeing these movies . Each movie unravels part of a mystery ( as to why your even playing the game ) . A person can beat the game in 20 minutes , because each fight only lasts about 20 seconds , so the pace is pretty fast and you don't need experience to beat the game . Unfortunately there is not much noticeably different from Tekken 2 .
    • 116 4  This is the best , the coolest fighting game on PS1 . Graphics - 10 / 10 ( The best graphics I've ever seen on the PS1 ) Gameplay - 10 / 10 ( Mini games , hidden characters , finishing move combos or finishing one-hit moves . Don't worry if you don't like one hit finishers because they take some time so u can just stop them ) Music - 9 / 10 ( Ha ha , rock n ' roll , not really . But it is pretty good ) Moves - 9 / 10 ( Checkout the wrestler guy who has a jaguar head . Hey , it's a mask okay . Relax . If you like wrestling , then use him . Clothlines , snap suplex , throws , pildrivers , submisssion holds like the figure 4 leg lock , powerbombs and even the Tomstone Pildriver ! Other characters also have grapple moves . ) Overall - I don't know , it's just awsome . The best game I have . if u like arcade games or fighting games , I highly recommend this awsome game .
    • 117 4  There are many fighting games that ive played including mortal kombat and street fighter but tekken is so much better . THhere are so many characters u can get and to many moves . The movies after u beat the boss with different characters are cool too . I personally think this is the best playstation game they have come up with yet
    • 118 4  This game is amazing . The controls are perfect . The controls are simple to learn . There is a wide range of characters to choose from , each with their own style . Every character has an awesome movie and theme . The graphics are great . There are tons of secrets . If you like fighting games , this is a must-buy !
    • 125 4  This game's got almost everything a perfect game needs - great graphics ( for the playstation ) and great fun gameplay . The music though is so-so , but not so bad . There are alot of great features in this game such as arcade , tekken force , vs . , tekken ball ( has to be unlocked ) , and group battle mode . They're all fun and addictive . The graphics are great ( even the backgrounds ) , movies have amazing 3 - d quality . This game is a must-have for all fans of the fighting genre and people who just like great games . No wonder Tekken 3 is one of the greatest hits of playstation .
    • 128 4  Tekken 3 is a great fighting game , probably the best one yet produced . It has hours of gameplay , plenty of secret characters , and I , myself , love Tekken Ball mode . The one fault in Tekken 3 ' s almost-perfection is that it's just a little too easy . The first time I put the game in and started playing Arcade Mode , I beat the game . And while there are plenty of characters to beat the game with , and other things to do in the game , it's a little odd being able to beat the game your first try . I'm only a casual gamer , so I doubt this is due to my superior skill . Though this fault is a prominent one , the game is still very entertaining . Trying to win all the secret characters leads to hours of fun , and Tekken Ball mode is , well , a ball ! I would certainly reccomend purchasing Tekken 3 .
    • 131 4  I just got this game about a week ago.I got all the secret characters except Dr . B , the person that fixed Yoshimitsu . It got new modes such as Tekken Force ( not secret ) , Theater Mode ( secret ) , and Tekken ball mode ( Secret ) . THeres even a character named Gon ( secret ) , which is really short and the only way to beat him is from low attacks . You can only get him when you defeat him in the ball mode . Dr . b is unlocked by finishing Tekken Force 4 ( or was it 3 . . . . . . ) times . My favorite characters are Gon , Hwoarang , and Eddy .
    • 133 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) This game is so much fun to play . I was glued to the tv trying to get all the players by beating the game many times . The gameplay is easy and the graphics are pretty good . A great game , and a great buy for $20 .
    • 135 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) TEKKEN 3 is awesome . So go buy it . . . .
    • 137 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 has it all , Tons of characters , many which are hidden , hidden costumes for some characters , excellent graphics , excellent gameplay . This game is nearly 2 years old and it still tops the Playstation as the best fighting game . There hasn't been one to beat this one yet , and I have played them all ! Highly Recommended !
    • 139 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken is the best of all fighting games . In the 3rd instalment , you get new characters , more involved moves , and actual side stepping 3D action . Its a great game for two players , and its farily easy to pick up , but still hard enough for the fighting master to play for hours on end to master ! Tekken 3 rules !
    • 145 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 ' s gamplay has incredible depth while remaining clean and simple - easy to pick up , but packed with a virtually infinite number of special moves , combinations , and other nuances .
    • 147 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) I don't think there's just a game that comes close to Tekken 3 , it's the best fighting game ever , I always make tournaments at home with a buch of friends , we never get tired of it , it's just so good . . .
    • 149 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken and Tekken 2 were awesome games .
    • 152 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) In all my years of video gaming I have not found a game as exciting and fun to play as the Tekken collection . In my opinion it is by far the greatest fighting game of all time .
    • 154 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) The graphics are excellent and the game play solid . There's also lots of extras within the game to keep you occupied . I did however find the last two characters on the hardest level the least trouble to beat .
    • 157 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Addictive and enthralling , this game has it all ! Though the backgrounds are 2 - dimensional , the characters are beautifully animated and created , and players will discover a favorite they'll want to use every time.Tekken isn't just for guys , girls will love the female characters that are just as powerful as the male ones . Delightfully fun and exciting , players won't grow bored with it .
    • 159 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 is great ! 3D graphics are of high quality . Sounds are realistic and the stereo music is awesome . There are lots of interesting options . One small but : some of the characters are a bit slow , especially when you are used to playing Streetfighter games on a competitive system .
    • 161 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) The only game ( in my opinion ) that can beat this as the best game ever is Final Fantasy VIII . But 4 sure Tekken 3 is the best fighting game of all time and I play it every day with characters like Paul , Eddy , Jin Hworang nobody can get bored with this game so don't wait but it now .

    • 165 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) My friends and I are Tekken Fanatics .
    • 169 4  This game is cool . I pretty much like this game alot for the first few days , but this game is the bomb . All the moves in this game is different but it has new players in too . So i don't know if you really want this game but i can assure you that this game is cool .
    • 170 4  I read a lot of reviews on this game before buying it , so maybe my expectations were a little high . The graphics here are really not that different in quality from X-Men MA2 ( actually , the backgrounds in X-Men are more dynamic ) . The fighting is good here though , and the characters really do have distinct fighting styles that give you quite the challenge in Arcade mode . They also tend to defend themselves more here , so your every kick or punch won't connect like you want it to . If you're buying for a good fighting game , then you shouldn't be disappointed . . . but if you're buying expecting graphics that are unlike anything you've ever seen before , you may be .
    • 173 4  The Tekken catagory of games ( 3D style ) came about on its own and took the gaming world by storm . Tekken 3 is just another step up the ladder of success for the Tekken series . This game has Tekken Ball where you play volleyball , it has numerous hidden characters , and it will definitely keep you playing for hours so you can see your move over and over again in instant replay .
    • 174 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Actually this game is definitely a classic . However it does not compare to Wu Tang : Shaolin Style in its complexity . I enjoyed a good bout but the worst thing is that the easy level isn't too challenging and that it's difficult to control each character because of the many keys for each move which require too much coordination
    • 179 4  Ok , this game is the best thing I have ever seen . If you look at all the characters , modes , and moves I'm sure that you will feel the same . I started off playing with Eddy because I hadn't unlocked anyone yet . His little breakdance / pommel-horse move gets them every time . Yoshimitsu is pretty good to . He can do a lot of damage with his sword . King is really cool with all of his wrestling moves also . But when I unlocked Gon , he was awsome ! The best advantage with him is that no one can hit him . He's too short for anybody too punch him so you have to crouch down and kick him . I haven't gotten Dr . Bonovitch or Tiger yet and Tekken Force mode is way to hard . I don't know mabye I just need to practice at it . Wuts up with Tekken Ball , thats just a funny little side game I guess . The thing that I hate is the Tekken Tag Tournament thing . It's only out on PS2 . Oh well , I heard that it was pretty much the same as Tekken 3 . If you got any questions about the game you can e-mail me at Socka248 @ aol.com , you gotta get this game .
    • 180 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 is the best game i have ever played and i recommend that anyone that has a playstation buys this game as it is a must have for all people , beat your way through the game with any of the 24 characters and become the iron fist champion . you can also try tekken ball a version of volleyball or tekken force a streets of rage style beat them up , i recommend it .
    • 184 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 has great graphics and gameplay , plus some cool modes . However , it cannot beat the best game ever , the game from which Tekken 3 was sequeled Tekken 2 ! Both are very good buys but Tekken 2 is truely better ! The king of fightingg games and all games : Tekken 2
    • 189 4  You know , sitting behind a computer screen , I'm glad no one can see the look of disappointment that appeared on my very face the minute I began playing Tekken 3 . I am incredibly disappointed that after reading so many positive reviews claiming Tekken 3 to not only be a significant improvement over the previous two Tekken games , but also tagged the ultimate tournament fighter that the actual game would turn out to be * so * underwhelming . Tekken 3 really surprised me . But don't take that as a compliment . I went into Tekken 3 with hardly any experience with fighting games whatsoever . I took a break for 10 years with tournament fighters after all those lousy 2D Mortal Kombat games brought me to tears . Back then I figured okay , either I don't like fighting games or maybe I just don't like the Mortal Kombat series . This was when Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 were popular on the Super NES and Genesis . A lot can change with a human being in 10 years . We grow older , we decide we want to learn about life and wonder where we came from , and we develop an apprecation for the things we have and the people who are in our lives . To put it simply , we're thankful to be alive and feel good . But in some situations , things can remain EXACTLY the same . All those extreme feelings of hatred returned to me immediately after only 5 minutes with Tekken 3 . It was the exact same feeling of hopelessness I encountered with the Mortal Kombat series . I really have no idea what went wrong . No , not with the game , I mean , what went wrong with ME . Seeing as how I love watching people fight and kick butt on TV shows and movies , I figured it was only natural that the fighting style in the world of video games would appeal to me . Appeal to me a LOT . That was my assumption . But apparently it STILL hasn't happened . Tekken 3 was supposed to help me wash away all the bad memories of playing old Mortal Kombat games and give me a fresh start and hopefully help me develop an appreciation for the ever-popular genre of games known as tournament fighters . Nope . It's really disappointing to me to find out that Tekken 3 is just as bad as the rest of the fighters I've played , and basically the same thing but with improved graphics , for that matter . All fighting games feel the same to me . It doesn't even matter if they are 2D or 3D fighters . Tekken 3 , despite all the positive reviews , does NOT appeal to me whatsoever . The fighting is really clunky , and it seems each fighter delivers very basic and boring moves to each other . It's not interesting or inspiring at ALL to me . It's boring to watch , and even more boring to play . Why is it so much fun when they fight this way in movies but * not * interesting when it's time to do the same thing in a video game ? I have no idea . If you want to pull off the really impressive looking moves in Tekken 3 , you have to press a bunch of buttons on the controller in a really complicated way in order to complete a move that COULD have been made * much * easier with a very simple and quick sequence of buttons . Strong emphasis on the word simple . Many moves actually require you to press the Circle button , and then jump over to the Square button . How is someone supposed to easily master this ? Going from Circle to Square is NOT easy . You see , for each of the ten characters in the game , they have major power moves that are very important to master because these are the moves that are supposed to cause the most damage to an opponent . However , many of these moves are incredibly difficult and sophisticated to pull off , and this is a * really * bad thing because the company responsible for this game apparently doesn't understand the importance of making a fighting game easy to master for everyone , of all ages . That way , young and old people alike can appreciate the Tekken style . It really bothers me how ALL of the developers who release fighting games assume the player is automatically completely aware how to play the game . They assume this * every single time * they release a fighting game . Developers assume everyone who plays these kind of games will be able to understand them instantly . We're supposed to be gifted players when it comes to understanding how to successfully pull off any number of lengthy and devestating combos to our opponents . We're supposed to have enough time to press really awkward button combinations on the Playstation controller during a fast-paced and intense fighting match . Not just combos either - regular moves too . We're supposed to have enough patience to continue trying the same fight over and over as we die a million times and the frustration factor increases significantly , and we realize just how IMPOSSIBLE these kind of games are . Well , I have news for every developer out there : many of us have a really difficult time with games like this . Not everyone who plays fighting games should automatically be expected to be a skilled player . Not all of us hang out at local arcades wasting tons of quarters as we try and perfect our skills . Some of us are , you know , average normal gamers who just like to have fun . The developers of tournament fighters NEVER could understand this , and years later , they still can't understand what it's like to have fun . We shouldn't have to be a genius to play a fighting game . Not all of us can press the EXACT moves at the EXACT moment and win fights . Maybe one day a tournament fighter will be invented for a gaming console that will be specifically designed to be playable for people who struggle with them . Maybe one day . . . Other things I don't like about Tekken 3 . Despite having excellent graphics , the music is a bunch of horrible , repetitive techno sounds that hardly make me feel compelled to continue playing the game . Oh , and by the way , even though the graphics are really a notch above the rest , there's absolutely no reason to jump with joy when looking at them . Since the fighting is just as basic and uninspiring as that of , oh I don't know , Killer Instinct ( another terrible game ) you quickly stop caring about how the game looks . In fact , I'd say the fighting engine is EXACTLY like that old Super Nintendo game Killer Instinct . Extremely uninteresting . When someone throws a punch , it's so boring to watch that you just don't care about it . That's what Tekken 3 is all about . Having a fighting engine that's so boring you don't even care if you win or lose . I'm disappointed . That's the only thing I can say at the moment . Maybe one day an easy tournament fighter will hit the market where the main purpose of the game is to have the computer opponents move along at a reasonable pace for all the normal people out there who constantly struggle with fighting games . A game that will give people the much needed time and patience to put a move on their opponent . A game where you aren't expected to hurry up just to deliver a simple move . Somehow , despite hundreds of tournament fighters that will eventually hit stores , I doubt this will ever happen . I will never buy another tournament fighter again . Ever .
    • 191 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) this game should bow down to its ancestor , tekken 2 . the fighting and backgounds are 2D . the last guy is way too easy to beat . force mode looks like a game from super nes . i hope tekken 4 is a vast improvement .

  • Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Use Practicemode if you are eager to be a better player . Ultrahard-stage FINAL level CPU is awesome . Tekken3 have some Tips like theater mode , costume , character . . . use google . Tekken's key is to see moves of your enemy very consiously . Gard , gard , gard and shot it when enemy can't move .
    • 004 4  Tekken 3 is awesome ! New characters , new moves , new combos and some favorites as well . Along with some great extra features aside from the tournament like Force Mode , Survival and Volleyball ? ! Tekken 3 delivers ! This is a really good game for all gamers and it hits the essence that is 3 - D fighting games . Plus new characters and new fighting styles are also pretty cool . The drawback is that the old button mashing is still a viable means of winning the fights and for a lot of the characters , some of thier combos that's all you have to do ( best example : Eddy Gordo ) . For those of you advanced gamers , try the new and improved King , Jin and Law . Definately check out TEKKEN 3 . This one is definitely worth it for the PSone . If you're looking for other great fighting games on the PSone , check out the STREET FIGHTER ALPHA series , SOUL BLADE and DEAD OR ALIVE 2 .

    • 005 4  I have been playing Tekken 3 for a long , long time , and it's just as fun now as it was when I first bought it . It's a wonderful game to play alone , and even better when played with a friend . It's my favorite fighting game on the PlayStation , or on any console of its generation , for that matter . - PRESENTATION : Tekken 3 ' s menus and loading screens are very similar to those of their arcade counterpart , and , although not particularly amazing graphically , somehow manage to look very stylish . They're a perect example of grace through simplicity . - GRAPHICS : Wow . I do not think that it is possible for the Playstation to generate graphics better than these . The character models are detailed and very well-constructed , and the beautiful textures that cover them smooth them out and make the fighters much more realistic-looking . Unlike in Tekken 2 , you seldom see the facets of the character models when they move . The backgrounds are much more detailed than those of the last game , and have been almost seamlessly blended with the floors of the game's many arenas . Namco seems to have pushed the system beyond what it was once believed to be capable of , and the only way for the game to be improved upon would be to move it up to a more powerful console ( i.e . Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 4 on the Playstation 2 ) . Beautiful . And of course , the CG cutscenes have to be seen to be believed . - SOUND : This game has the best sound effects of any fighting game on the system , methinks . The punches and kicks and battle-cries are full of energy and vigor , and differ depending on who and what has been attacked by whom . The music is neat , too , but that's really a matter of personal taste . I've laways enjoyed playing to it , and Namco has included both the original arcade music and a new , remixed music set made especially for the PSX version . Good stuff . - GAMEPLAY : Of course , this is the most important aspect of any game . Fortunately , Tekken 3 scores high in this area . It is a game that you can sit down and play and have fun with from the moment you put it into your PlayStation , but which you can be challenged by even after you have become very skilled . Tekken 3 has a large cast of characters , all of whom fight in their own unique styles . Most players will have a favorite , but these favorites tend to differ from person to person . The characters ( over half of whom need to be unlocked by completing various challenges ) are very well balanced , and none of them , not even the final bosses , feel disproportionately weak or strong in comparison to the others . Tekken's classic 4 - button system makes for a smooth , effective control system that is easy to adjust to and allows for a vast library of moves for each character , and if you want , you can fully customize the controls to suit your own style . There are many modes of play , including story mode , vs . mode , a side-scrolling bat-em-up mode , and a Tekken ball mode . You can also unlock a theater in which to play the movies and music that you unlock . You can even use the theater to play movies and music from Tekken 1 and 2 , if you have them . The actual fighting is great . The characters ' movements are fluid and widely varied , and each and every fight is different . The game includes a full list of all the moves and combos for each character ( but there are still secret moves hidden here and there ) . And there are more moves than just attacks and blocks . Handsprings , rolls , cartwheels , flips and kip-ups are just few of the things that characters do . Especially interesting are fighting styles such as Eddie's Capoeira and Yoshimitsu's , um , unique methods . The possibilities just go on and on . All in all , this is a fun and deeply engrossing game . If you want the best fighter on the PSX , give it a try .
    • 113 4  This game is pretty much the ultimate when it comes to fighting . The only thing it lacks is the use of weapons and magic . Still , the amount of moves the game actually has is mind-boggling . I would be totally surprised if there were anyone on the planet who knew every move of every player . There's just too damn many ! I've played many a fightin ' games ( Streetfighter , Mortal Kombat , Killer Instinct , etc . ) I'm not exactly the greatest gamer around , but I know when a game has just too many moves to choose from . I would guesstimate that each player in this game has roughly seventy or more possible combos , moves , special moves , etc . that they can throw at you . That's just too many moves . IF YOU ARE AN AMATEUR , YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME FIRST ! THE LESSONS YOU LEARN FROM CONTROLLING THE CHARACTERS OF THIS GAME CAN BE APPLIED TO ANY OTHER FIGHTING GAME - - - GUARANTEED !
    • 120 4  THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER ! ! ! ! The sound is great . the graphics are excellent ! ! ! ! you can choose from NINA , JIN , YOSHIMITZU , and much more . The best part about it is that you can get hidden players . you can do alot of combos too . Plus this game so badly wipes out games like street fighters , marvel vs . capcom , and marvel super heros . So if you are a person who really likes fighting games , ( Just like me ) than tekken 3 is the very most perfect game for all you people . However . . . . if you don't like fighting games , than please do not buy this game at any chance at any cost . ( and I mean it too ! ! ! ! ! )

    • 143 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) THIS GAME IS AWESOME ! This game is packed full of modes , secrets , and characters . I think it is cool how NAMCO created a blockbuster with so many stories and endings . The modes range from a nice game of beach ball to grueling tournaments . The attitude of the characters can range from cutsie school girl to cold souled Bruce Lee types . The characters each have an unorthodox erray of techniques at their disposal . I would also recomend playing the earlier Tekken titles . As I said before this game is AWESOME !
    • 167 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) THIS GAME WAS GREAT , AS A MATTER OF FACT , BUT IT'S NOT ALL THAT PEOPLE SAY IT IS .
    • 176 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) iT HAS ALL CHARACTERS THAT HAVE MANY VARIATIONS OF EACH , THE GRAPHICS ARE REALISTIC , TEKKEN 4 WAS A TOTAL LET DOWN COMPARED TO THIS .
    • 186 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) Tekken 3 is the best of fighting games so far ecspecially with characters like Jin and Paul . The combos are off the hook . The power that some of the characters have make them real BEASTS .
    • 188 4  This review is from : Tekken 3 ( Video Game ) You know , sitting behind a computer screen , I'm glad no one can see the look of disappointment that appeared on my very face the minute I began playing Tekken 3 . Ever .
